If I had a penny for every time I obsessed over an "Older man who thinks he's in too deep to stop now. Who's dedication to a mentor figure is ultimately their undoing and what keeps them trapped in a toxic cycle that persistently harms them. With their own pride keeping them there. Yet through unforseen circumstances that land them in an almost fall from grace state. They're able to stop and breathe and exist outside of their imposed purpose and learn what kind of men they could be through their relationship to a younger woman. A relationship that surprises them by how much it affects them. A relationship that changes them. Yet despite this overwhelming love/respect they bear for this woman, they are still trapped. Men who feel like they can't stop now. Can't change even though they HAVE changed. Men who could absolutely kill this woman that they love if she became an obstacle to their purpose and it disgusts them....men who feel like they betrayed that woman or failed them in some regard and it kills them."
