#bg3#baldur's gate 3#minthara#minthara baenre#evil murder kitten#viconia devir#it's funny to think that at one point in her life minthara admired viconia and was impressed by her rebellion#and the more i learn about viconia in the previous games#the more i understand why minthara would admire her but also see her as a coward#viconia openly and willingly defied lolth fully understanding the consequences of what would come from it - but ran away#whereas minthara's hand was forced away from lolth by the absolute - but was still abandoned all the same (or so minthara thinks)#it's also interesting to see how viconia goes to willingly embrace shar - a god who has many similarities to lolth#and even demands that she use and abuse a child - which is peak irony as child murder is why she defied lolth in the first place#but minthara comes to shun them all and only sees benefit in the gods if there is something to gain#but even minthara thinks it best that shadowheart turns from shar in the end#i know fans of viconia regard bg3's portrayal of her as a character assassination and i don't disagree#but idk i feel like viconia's story could be a glimpse into one of minthara's many futures#especially considering that minthara is a deeply religious person and wants to have a god to worship
