I watched mrs maisel s3 when it came out bc I anticipated it for a long time but it was pretty disappointing :( the writing went downhill and the story started just going in circles. Like i get the appeal of not having her success be linear but the self sabotage of it all isnt engaging or interesting it's just annoying..

I'm on e3 currently and the way she treats Susie is very ??? to me like damn let her start her business she barely makes any money at all she wasn't born w a fucking silver spoon in her mouth. I'm also kinda tired of the story being in love with her and framing it like she can never be in the wrong ever?? and her being selfish is cute?? her saying smth to Joel and him respecting those boundaries and her being mad about that is somehow supposed to make me feel sad for her?? like idk Joel has grown as a person but the story is really starting to slag.

and now we have Shy Baldwin and I have a feeling she is going to do something really weird to this black man idk I just. have a hunch she's gonna do something really fucking drastic and she's just not grown ONE BIT since the start bc the narrative is too in love w her to ever point out her flaws or even give her a character arc.

sorry I'm ranting I'm just. incredibly disappointed I think I really enjoyed it upto S2 back a couple of years ago and now I feel like I was either an idiot then for being excited abt this series or am an idiot now bc is this really the kind of writing that I like?? epic fail for me from two years ago that clown had terrible taste and I'm suffering for it.
