i applied for a community outreach job at a zoo today and like… do i not have a bachelor’s degree? yes. is that required? yes. do i not have a driver’s license? yes. is that required? the listing didn’t say anything, but when i applied, it sure did ask for one. but do i have experience with animal handling and community outreach in the natural sciences? yeah, a lil bit. so do i think i can fake it til i make it? yeah, yeah i do.

#she’s feeling overconfident #but like i would fucking loveeee to work at the zoo you don’t understand #especially the zoo in my hometown #like she’s cute and quaint and the parks department has done such a good job running her over the years #i genuinely still go to the zoo all the time as an adult #also 95% of my job would be working with kids and i’m great with kids #and i have experience in childcare which proves that i’m great with kids #the odds of me getting this job are so so very low but like… I’M STILL EXCITED!!!#pol’s diary <3
