Favourtie story you've written so far: I love all my fics. They are my babies, even if I am not always satisfied with what I've written and might have to abandon them cuz of time and when I feel I don't connect with the idea anymore. But if I had to choose... probably KKAKK. And the Closure series. Mother's Day and maybe Demons too.

Fic you were nervous to post: I am nervous to post any of my fics 😂, especially the ones that deal with trauma/PTSD in some form or the other. But I think it's a tie between Artist Bros (considering it was a fic I wrote without even watching LoK), Of Con Artists and Royalty (as it is kinda a mixed bag of a lot of stuff) and tbh, my songfics.

How do you title your fics: I struggle with it. Songfics are the easiest as the title is just the song's name (original or translated.) Otherwise most titles are like a... 'Ok this is the theme of this fic so it shall be the title,' which ends up being a random word(s) that is related to the whole fic (Kiran's Journey, Street Food, all fics in Closure series, etc.)

But I think the most thought I gave to keeping titles was for Eye Opener, maybe Demons and KKAKK...

How do you outline:

I usually don't. And in the rare case I do so... It starts with me ranting to my mutuals about a random idea, condensing the rant into a very rough paragraph as an outline and later on expand it to a page or two of the main details and finally a rough idea of what goes into each chapter.

Like for KKAKK it started off as 'what if A and B time travel to this time period and make drastic changes?' Then expanded it to a nearly 3 page outline of the major events/the idea of the OCs and I had chapter outlined and wrote nearly 40 chapters before I took it down for a rewrite.

Complete:

Eh... All my OS are complete for sure 😂 I have a bad luck when it comes to multi chapters so only A Mission to the Past, Kiran's Journey, Second Chances and Operation Makroh have escaped that curse for now. I should be completed with Equalists and the rest of the Closure series by November hopefully. Apart from that, none of my multichapters are in a state of getting the complete mark any time soon.

general info

i don’t play real people and i refuse to play real people <3

i can roleplay thru reblog chains, but messages are preferred

my motivation and my sleep schedule and my everything are often inconsistent. i’ll try to let you know when i have to disappear, but sometimes i just... don’t. i’ll try n work on that

i’m okay with mature topics like gore and death, though if it’s, like, smut... i don’t know. maybe if you can confirm that you’re also a minor but above 13. also only done in private messaging. also i don’t like making smut the whole basis of a roleplay.

i’m usually semi-literate to literate, using “quotes” for dialogue and writing actions as you’d read in, like, a book. but i’m pretty flexible with my style and can use *asterisks* if you do the same. basically i kinda just mirror my partner.

i only do 1x1 roleplays, sorry lol. groups overwhelm me :’)

triggers

pedophilia: pedophilic ships are one thing, that i will be covering in another part of this post. but what i mean is if you’re going to say, “[]’s dad looks at them funny,” or “[]’s whoever touches them in inappropriate places,” whether in their backstory or not, i’m leaving. pedophilia triggers me bad enough that i get uncomfortable when it’s mentioned, in general.

rape: similarly to suicide- if it’s mentioned in a character’s past, then... maybe. i know scumbags exist but if you’re going to have a character get raped or attempt to rape another i’m leaving.

self-harm: if it’s really essential to the plot, then i guess you can do so with your character- just, don’t go into detail about it. other, non-self-inflicted gore of any kind is okay in any amount of detail tho.

suicide: not as lenient as the one above. you can incorporate death-by-suicide in a character’s backstory(like a family member or something) and you can include non-descriptive past attempts, but if any character actively attempts during a roleplay i’m gone.

base rules

you should tell me your rules and triggers, too- you don’t have to be so extremely detailed if you’d rather not, but i just need a basis of what you are and aren’t comfortable with. if you have a post outlining your info you should link that, too :)

don’t feel obligated to, but if you message me it’d be absolutely appreciated if you have some sort of idea of the kind of plot you want. i can provide my own plots and do have some pre-set starters, but it’s also cool if you want to provide your own or have us create one together or just go with the flow without a starting plot.

that said, once we fulfill the requirements of a plot, it’d still be cool if we could keep going and just add onto it! or if you feel like it, i’m still okay with ending a roleplay at whatever point.

pairing rules

i can do platonic, romantic, familial, and other kinds of relationships within a roleplay. ngl, i mostly focus on romantic, but if you want to try another kind of relationship don’t be afraid to say so

in any fandom, i can do cc x oc, oc x oc, and cc x cc-- while, minus the ones where i specifically say i can’t play ccs dhsnfjm. most of the time though, i’m happy to play either cc or oc

being mlm myself, i mostly focus on mlm pairings. still though, i can do wlw and straight relationships, plus relations between characters with diverse genders!

i refuse to do any pedophilic or incestual ships. if we do a pairing and it gets abusive though, i can tolerate that as long as we aren’t looking at the abuse as a good thing. and as long as the character/s getting abused get out of those situations, eventually.

also i can do aged up aus, like adult!izuocha, but i’m not going to age up a character to ship them with another one that’s already an adult.

oh and yandere makes me uncomfortable lol sorry

Hullo and happy STS! I know I’ve discusses the Silver Serpent gang with you on this one, so I will try to see what the youngling of Scales and Petals have to say.

Angela 

- best present - probably a spa day and her current fancy cane both from Axel 

- worst - a gym appointment from a random classmate during her B.A. The dude got to meet angry Angela and got a stern lecture

- best gift she gave - every toy she buys for Casper :)) there are many other gifts she is proud of, but she loves seeing that doggo all happy and excited with a new toy

- gift she is not proud of - while doing her M.A dissertation with Gail, she had given him a book by an archeologist she liked, but did not realise that the dude had used some of Gail’s reaserch without crediting his work. Gail kept his anger in check especially since it was not addressed to her, but she still feels guilty as that specific profesor is, to this day, one of Gail’s biggest rivals in the field

Axel 

- best present - a Iolight compact, portable fluorescence microscope from his parents, Angela and Sabinne after he became Niall’s reaserch assistant and PHD student 

- worst - a bible... which ended a friendship, not fun. He came out as bi to his friends and one of them, of whom Axel knew was religious, was aparently also homophobic, ufff

- best gift he gave - he paid for Sabinne’s medusa and septum piercings

- gift he is not proud off - years ago when he tried making friends with Bolin he wanted to give him a practical gift that could also remind him of China, so he went for a teapot and tea. He got the tea right, but not the teapot. Bolin did not mind that much and actually uses it, but he did explain to him the differences between the two coutries and the way they prepare and enjoy tea. Axel still feels a bit embarssed, although Bolin did not seem that affected by it and he did tell Axel that he does not expect people to be experts in his culture and how it differes from other east asian cultures

Sabinne 

- best present - books on phonetics for English based languages from the twins, and on the differences between Mandarin and Cantonese pronunciations from Bolin + Casper from Gail and Niall 

- worst - a hot pink, frilly, short dance skirt. It was a prank gift which wa squickly replaced with a sturdy pair of black, lace up boots, but still :)) now the skirt sits in Casper’s toy crate

- best gift she gave - a short, meerschaum pipe and accesories  to Angela, Axel contributed

- gift she is not proud of - dispite her dislike towards Gail, she feels a bit guilty for giving him a sex toy a few years ago

Bolin 

- best present - tickets to see a performace of The Book of Mountains and Sea by chinese celebrity choreographer Wang Yuanyuan

- worst - expensive, but very bad quality stage make up. He realised how unusable it actually was while putting it on for a performance. The rest of his crew saved him and that ended up in the closest bin

- best gift he gave - a painting to his mother by a Japanese contemporary artist she really likes

- gift he is not proud of - not sure he has any... even the ones he gave as pranks he feels like he put tought and care in them so he doesn’t have any

(bi-jinora) Hi! A few things! 1) can I tell you all about my San/Naoki storyline(s)? I've been thinking it out! 2) Can you help me figure out a year for those ages for my LoK Next Gen kids? I was gonna go with 200 AG, but that doesn't work with my current Maliri headcanons where they met in like 180/181 AG at Korrasami's engagment party. Actually I'm gonna make this part a separate ask because there's a lot to say. Hope you're having a good day!

Okay, so the Maliri plotline os as such: Siliri is a non-bender from the Northern Water Tribe, either Mako's age or a 1 year gap in either direction. She was in the South Pole visiting her cousin, and she wasn't gonna actively NOT go to the Avatar's engagement party. So she went, and met Mako because they were both akwardly standing by a food table to avoid having to dance. She's a bit awkward in social situations in general, and throw a cut person her age in the mix and, well.

More Siliri! She loves talking about politics and sharing opinions, and once she gets to know someone, she starts bouncing off the walls talking to them a mile a minute excitedly. She's very ADHD. I swear, none of this is me projecting, not one whit! (Fun fact tho I didn't REALIZE I was doing that until I started talking out her character with my cousin and I went. . . oh.) Anyway, she and Mako made akward small talk for a few minutes before Bo popped in and decided to meddle

Before Bo popped in and started to meddle in his brother's love life. Long story short, they wound up writing letters to each other, Bo invited Siliri to Korrasami's wedding to try to 'encourage' Maliri to happen (and her cousin was no better) and they eventually started dating and then got married. They had three kids, etc. That's on the chart you made- BECAUSE YOU MADE ME A CHART! EEE! 😍

Of course you can talk about your San/Naoki storyline! I would love to hear it. And I'm happy to try and help with the kids age stuff if you still need help!

So if 180 AG is Korrasami's engagement party, that would mean that Korra was around 27 (born 153 AG) and Asami around 28 (born 152 AG). And with the next gen ages, they would've had Yasuko at 182 AG based on their age and the year 200 AG. Bolin would've been 25 when he had Jade (179 AG).

So, if we wanna push the timeline about 3 years, that might work...

Jade would've been born in 182 AG, Naoki born in 184 AG, Yasuko 185 AG, and so on. The older Krew would have all their kids before they're 40, so that would work.

That would potentially mean that Korrasami got married in 181/182 AG. Which... I think works! Everyone would potentially be married by the time they have their kids if that's what you're aiming for.

And Maliri's story is so cute! Them awkward turtleducks haha :) And of course Bolin meddles... That goof.

Oh and I feel you when it comes to projecting onto characters lmao. It happens more often than we know it, but that's part of shipping and making OC's!

if you don't mind me asking, how canon is your fic?

I do not mind you asking! :)

With a very few exceptions, my fanfic is set after the series finale. (Most of the exceptions can be found in The Prince and the Bodyguard collection.) So right there I am already expanding on canon, of course. In my current timeline I’m writing about 11-12 years after the end of the show; everyone’s grown up, some of them have families, etc. 

My focus is on Prince Wu, Mako and Bolin, Ikki and the Beifongs. I don’t write about Korra or Asami beyond interactions with the main characters in my stories. So if you are specifically looking for the two of them my fic will disappoint! (To be clear: they are a couple in my fanfic. I’m just not focusing on them.)

I wrote my first fic, Please Excuse My Penmanship, back in February of 2015. (The published date got changed when I made some changes to the first page, which is why it looks like it was published in 2017. I had no idea it was going to do that; if I had used my brain and realized it was going to change the date I wouldn’t have done it.) At that time the DVD commentary by Bryke where they stated that Prince Wu had been living in Republic City as either a boarding school or university student when Hou-Ting was killed by the Red Lotus wasn’t out yet. I’ll be honest, though - even if it had been out I would have written the story as is. I think it is far more interesting to have Wu, as a character, run parallel to Puyi, the last emperor of China. I’ve written him that way and I have no regrets. It makes for a far more interesting narrative for the character, who, let’s be honest, was never really fleshed out in the show. 

Since a huge portion of my work was written before the comic(s) came out I obviously didn’t incorporate them! That being said, I am not very happy with the content of the comics. (I do love the artwork, however. Barring Mako reverting to his scruffy teenage hair, that is.) To make it clear, I will not be going back and making any changes to my work to be canon-compliant with the comics. As far as my fanfic is concerned, the comics don’t exist! 

The basic spoiler-free premise of my fanfic is that Wu and Mako are a couple in Republic City after Wu dismantled the monarchy in the Earth Kingdom. I also focus on the Zaofu Beifong family and the aftermath of Baatar Jr’s betrayal. (I do not at all focus on Kuvira - in my fanfic she is imprisoned for life and I have zero plans to change that, so again, if you are looking for her you won’t find her in my fic.)

I do have quite a few original characters. I try to write them to the very best of my ability; they are not throwaway characters for me. They are diverse: one of my OCs, Qi, is genderqueer, and another, Nuo, is fat. Another OC, LoLo, is a firebender, but kind of a crappy one. I do try to make them real and engaging in their diversity; none of them are perfect. (Well, maybe Sitiak is.) I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback for them, which is great. However, if you are morally opposed to OCs then you won’t enjoy my work.

Despite what was written in the comics, I do not headcanon the Avatar universe as homophobic. Wu and Mako are a couple and they do not experience homophobia over this. As a queer woman myself I have zero interest in writing angst-filled coming out stories; I am also real damn tired of straight people writing them for me. As my long-term readers know, I was with my late wife for 17 years before she died unexpectedly. We had two children and a life together, and that is what I am interested in writing about. I cover a range of sexuality in my work, which includes queer couples, straight couples, poly relationships, people outside of relationships, etc. 

I do not write yaoi. If that’s what you are looking for then you won’t find it here. 

I am an autistic woman who is the mother to two autistic children. I have headcanoned several canon characters as autistic; most notably I have chosen to write Huan Beifong as autistic. (I also headcanon several other characters as neurodivergent; however, they pass as neurotypical far more than Huan does.) Huan does not pass as neurotypical; he is disabled and he does have issues relating to that disability. He is also a human character with a life that pleases him. Autistic representation - and there is precious little of it - is almost exclusively written by neurotypical people and most of them aren’t very good at it. I aim to be good at it. 

I’m 48 (very soon to be 49!) years old and my writing reflects that. I write about people of all ages, including children, middle-aged and older people, etc. I am not writing for children, which is why the vast majority of my work is marked as mature. (That’s not to say teens can’t enjoy my work! Plenty of them do. It just means that my work tends to be more complex and I expect anyone reading my work to recognize that the rating is there for a reason.)

The Avatar universe was based on Asian culture. I am not Asian. I do a lot of research and I have several Asian readers whom I’ve been able to ask to spot check me. (One of them was good enough to educate me on where I was getting some things wrong, for which I was and am still incredibly grateful.) But I do want to be upfront about that.

I do fanfic as a hobby. I’m an autistic working widowed mother of two teenagers; because of all of these things my publishing can sometimes be sporadic. (Real life has to come first!) I do have a Betareader who is awesome (she really is) but she’s also a mother with two younger kids and sometimes her real life gets chaotic as well and she’s not able to give me feedback. Sometimes my stories are not as polished as I would like them to be! I do my best. But if you are looking for someone who can publish on a very regular basis then sorry! That’s not me.
