on the 16th it'll be a month since we had to put bagheera down and tora's not doing the best without her big brother. i'm hoping she'll start getting along with kubla but she keeps hissing at him if he tries to come close (he used to hiss at her and bags a lot when they first came here OTL) but they're both cats from bonded pairs who lost a sibling recently so i know she'd like the additional comfort for when i'm not here to provide that for her

#look she's not writing #baggy and tora #tora #cats #tw grief #tw pet death #if anyone has any advice on comforting grieving cats from bonded pairs i'd appreciate it #she still tries looking for him and gets anxious when she can't #for now while i do laundry i'm gonna sit with her in the kitchen #she has her good days and bad #but legitimately the longest tora has ever been without bagheera is a few hours when he had to go to the vet for something #i think for his 4th birthday i'm gonna do a little memorial for him #october 6th i got you baggy #we talked about getting a kitten and seeing that helps with both of them but i don't want to get another cat until after i move for work #and that won't be until late 2025 or early to mid 2026 at least #we'll see what happens
