I LOVE DEUCE SPADE

I LOVE WHEN HE SPEAKS FOR WHAT HE THINKS IS RIGHT! during the book 1 he thinks that riddle is in the wrong and he isnt scared to speak up about that (iirc ITS BEEN TOO LONG SINCE I READ BOOK 1 😭😭) oh also during his dorm vignette he speaks up to some other heartslabyul students shitting on riddle

I LOVE WHEN HE TRIES HIS BEST ALL THE TIME!! ok so you know how deuce isnt really the smartest person and hes skipped out on a lot of classes during middle school? you see when he gets into NRC he tries his best to understand basic math he missed out!! I LOVE SEEING PEOPLE TRY THEIR HARDEST TO DO SOMETHING THEYRE BAD AT!! (that sounded terrible) but like seeing people who just dont give up no matter how bad they are is so admirable

I LOVE HOW EARNEST HE IS!!! during the starsending event he tries his best at a "childish event". he seriously tries his best to make it the best event possible AND HE PUSHES OTHER SUCH AS IDIA TO TRY HIS BEST! I LOVE THAT ABOUT HIM SO MUCH!!!!

I LOVE HOW CLOSE HE IS TO HIS MOTHER!!!! i know a lot of people that find being close to their parent kind of embarrassing. and deuce is so open to loving his mother. I LOVE THAT SO MUCH.

I LOVE HOW SMART HE IS!!!!! i know many people dont find deuce smart in like a book smart type of way BUT HE IS VERY SMART AT FIGURING OUT HOW PEOPLE THINK. during his halloween r vignette he figures out what his old friends are planning and he stops in by playing a long with in their evil scheme. also during his starsending ssr he does the same thing!

I LOVE HOW MUCH HE CARES FOR MC!!!!!! during book 5 HE STOPS EVERYTHING TO GET TO NRC TO SAVE MC!! same with ace AND LIKE DURING BOOK 7 WHEN THEY SEE MC ZONING OUT ACE SAYS TO DEUCE TO GO HOME BECAUSE MC LOOKS UNWELL!! OMG ALSO ALSO during book 1 ace and deuce defend mc from riddle. when riddle says you lack basic education to attend this school ACE AND DEUCE FIGHT BACK!! ACE EVEN THROWS A PUNCH TO RIDDLE!!

I LOVE HOW DENSE HE IS!!!!!!! its so cuteee like during his lab vignette, vil says to say some encouraging words to the plant AND HE LITERALLY CONFESSES HIS LOVE TO A PLANT!! HES SO CUTE!! WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE????? ugh there are so many more examples BUT I CAN ONLY THINK OF THAT ONE CAUSE ITS A CANON LOVE CONFESSION!

I LOVE HIS UNIQUE MAGIC!!!!!!!! his unique magic is tit for tat WHICH IS A GAME THEORY THING! I LEARNING ABOUT THIS! BASICALLY THERE WAS A TOURNAMENT FOR NERDS TO FIND THE BEST STRATEGY FOR THE PRISON DILEMMA. there were many tricky and complicated strategies BUT THE STRATEGY THAT WON WAS TFT. from this tournament a lot of things were learned about game theory and life AND I LOVE HOW SOMETHING RANDOM I READ ABOUT IS IN TWST!

I LOVE HIS ATTITUDE!!!!!!!!! HIS ATTITUDE is so ADMIRABLE! no matter what he does he puts 110% of his effort (said in his starsending vignette) AND UGH I FEEL LIKE IM REPEATING SOME POINTS BUT I JUST LOVE EVERY PART OF THIS GUY SO MUCH!!!

alice in the borderland s2 thoughts ! don’t read below the read more if you haven’t seen it!

i didn’t know alice in the borderland was a manga until i first watched s1. so i was entering s2 completely blind and wasn’t expecting it to be like them battling the king of certain cards to win the game officially.

the games were so ruthlessly. two of my fav games were the first game they played aka king of clubs. yeah it was awkward staring kyuma’s butt 😭 and the jack of hearts game simply because i knew that slowly people were going to turn on each other. i do believe the most confusing game was the one that chishiya played with the numbers and the acid, no. would not catch me in that game! (i forgot what king it was of)

ending? a lot of people including myself was confused. especially considering that i have never read the manga. i had to go on a twitter thread to understand the ending but when you watch the ending and finally understand it…it makes sense that that’s the reason why they’re in the games. the idea of them on the brink of life and death because all of them being involved in this explosion left me speechless. them having the choice to “wake up” and leave the game or stay “unconscious” and stay in the games had me standing up and pacing. then what got me screaming and shit was the fact that they didn’t know each other when they came back. like wow my mouth dropped seeing that.

also king of spades was OP!! like i was trying figure how i can jump in my tv and help jump him! but then i saw that they kinda toned him down a bit cause somebody also said in the manga he basically knew where all the players were at and could tell if they were dead or alive. 🚶🏾‍♀️

overall, a good series and the cast did what they had to do. i am okay with the series ending like that despite the ending with the joker card. don’t let netflix drag this series out lmfao.
