alice in the borderland s2 thoughts ! don’t read below the read more if you haven’t seen it!

i didn’t know alice in the borderland was a manga until i first watched s1. so i was entering s2 completely blind and wasn’t expecting it to be like them battling the king of certain cards to win the game officially.

the games were so ruthlessly. two of my fav games were the first game they played aka king of clubs. yeah it was awkward staring kyuma’s butt 😭 and the jack of hearts game simply because i knew that slowly people were going to turn on each other. i do believe the most confusing game was the one that chishiya played with the numbers and the acid, no. would not catch me in that game! (i forgot what king it was of)

ending? a lot of people including myself was confused. especially considering that i have never read the manga. i had to go on a twitter thread to understand the ending but when you watch the ending and finally understand it…it makes sense that that’s the reason why they’re in the games. the idea of them on the brink of life and death because all of them being involved in this explosion left me speechless. them having the choice to “wake up” and leave the game or stay “unconscious” and stay in the games had me standing up and pacing. then what got me screaming and shit was the fact that they didn’t know each other when they came back. like wow my mouth dropped seeing that.

also king of spades was OP!! like i was trying figure how i can jump in my tv and help jump him! but then i saw that they kinda toned him down a bit cause somebody also said in the manga he basically knew where all the players were at and could tell if they were dead or alive. 🚶🏾‍♀️

overall, a good series and the cast did what they had to do. i am okay with the series ending like that despite the ending with the joker card. don’t let netflix drag this series out lmfao.
