grimacing every time i see people who have clearly switched over to the official translation spellings except with sissel. not because i think they're wrong for that, but because i know what it's like to prefer the non-canon name, and how it feels when a fucking anime of all things canonizes the one you don't like.

obviously he hasn't been named yet in the anime but the anime is 100% pulling from yen press's translation, so... it's not gonna be thistle. i'm sorry guys.

#i have seen at least one reddit post that hates yen press's translation #it's the one i'm reading and from what i've seen i like it way better #also i'm smitten with how laios and co originally misgendered sissel and i wish the anime had kept that #but jp being how it is with pronouns i can see how it'd get glossed over #the chapter where laios has to correct himself mid-sentence because he's finally met people who know sissel is a dude...#effervescent. yes i am insane about this for transgender reasons. thank you laios touden for being an ally #tox.txt
