I was (sort of) watching Taxi while doing other things this morning, and after an episode the Streaming Device(TM) suddenly switched to what appeared to be a TV movie about a dad and a daughter on a road trip, which was odd, but I switched it back to Taxi.

After the next episode, the Streaming Device(TM) suddenly switched to the middle of Johnny Mnemonic, and all the buttons on the remote stopped working except the "turn on and off closed captions" button.

I'm reasonably certain we are now only ever allowed to watch Johnny Mnemonic

#the Streaming Device(TM) usually cuts to a 'commerical break' in which it starts buffering and then turns completely off every 15-30 min #if you're watching something live that is-- it works fine for discrete episodes of things through like. the various services with dumb name #but johnny mnemonic? has been playing with no interruption for 45+ minutes. no buffering no issues #and i cannot go back to the menu or change channels or do anything but turn closed captions on and off
