Okay so like sake of argument here HK just being a weird human dude for this scenario like Clive and Jill know Clídna is capable of killing and merciless and have seen it happen, HK however would come out of nowhere to them. Like man would just be so upbeat and positive and like soft that for him to just suddenly turn around and just turn into killing machine would be jaw dropping! I feel like it wouldn't happen until Barnabas that you really see the scary side of him, like don't get me wrong HK isn't happy about kupka either but he's gonna let it happen and believes Clive deserves the satisfaction of the kill. Same with Jill and the Iron Kingdom, like HK is epitome of holding their purses and earrings while they do what they gotta do, very "I gotchu boo. Now go fuck 'em up." Like idk man idk imagine that this person you love because they lean much more soft but understand you and really only fighting because people are leaving you with no choice in the matter just one day going killer mode just things make so much more sense. idk I feel like for this universe like HK would have also worked under Barnabas for a long while being an unfeeling killing machine and escaping to Cid eventually so he would have a big bone to pick with Barnabas.

Clídna and Karlach could also work in a romantic relationship if they were together before Karlach's heart became an engine. Meeting after the fact could work out potentially but it would take a lot of work due to Karlach missing casual touch and Clídna being a bit more aversive to it, and Clídna wouldn't want to be with her if she couldn't give everything she wants/needs it feels unfair. But they could very much make the cute battle couple and I think there would be less self consciousness on Clídna's end with her scarred face because Karlach would show how much she loves her for all that she is. Also those two would switch weapons and teach the other how to best wield them and frankly Clídna with a big axe/hammer and Karlach with a sword and shield just man that is doing something to my brain, it would be so hot. But those two would also be so sweet with one another and would do all the exploring and helping of people, I could also see them dragging Wyll along with them and that just being a very loving dynamic that isn't romantic between them all, like different levels and not as equal as it is for Clídna, Jill, and Clive if that makes sense. I do also think that Clídna would have the biggest heart eyes when Karlach is showing off her teddy bear, whereas Karlach's big heart eyes moment is seeing Clídna bloody and fighting and just her own version of raging in battle, like those would be the "I'm so in love with this woman" moments.
