🧍i'm still so angry about earlier, it's crazy. like i feel crazy. but she changed our plans around so much. and she didn't even call me. to confirm the changes, or to check i was still available. and when i brought up our previous plans she was so dismissive. and i was like oh wait i have autonomy why am i acting like i don't have autonomy. so i called her back and she was like who do you think you are, someone with autonomy? 😂 i think you're lying about why you don't want to go, despite what you mentioned being something that's been a big horrible part of your life for over 6 months now... who the fuck is this person to me outside of the family structure. who the fuck does she think she is that she can say shit like this and remain a part of my life.

i want to fall back on the whole "it's not that serious" mentality but when i picture how she would respond if i was jerking her around like this it all falls apart. it is that serious. you cannot treat people this way and expect to stay on good terms with them in the real world.

Sans: When you hand him the bunny, he's going to stare down at it while it slept in his hands, then lift his head to look at you with big eye sockets "Uhh... I might not be real bunny with this question, but Y/n, why did you give me this?" you just grin and don't answer hurrying off, so he tenses up "Y/n!" Don't leave him with the bunny! Ahhh! He cannot handle this!

Papyrus: "Oh my gosh golly!" he grins, bouncing a little. "They're so tiny, Y/n, are you giving this to me? What is their name? Can I name them?" he thinks that the bunny is the most adorable thing in the world! Oh uh... second... second cutest thing! After his datemate, of course... Where did you even get this bunny though?

Blueberry: He would tense up, looking down at the little creature his mouth open a little "Oh my..." he lifts his head, looking at you, then down at the bunny again "It's so tiny" he whispers. It's the quietest he had ever been, and he doesn't move almost at all until you take the bunny from him, or he can put it down. He's so scared to hurt the little bunny.

Stretch: When you hand him the little rabbit, he will tense up looking down at it then back at you with big eye sockets "Y/n?" he looks down at the little bunny again, tiny tears starting to form in his eye sockets and he mumbles, "They're so cute..." he pets the top of the bunny's head with his fingertip. You broke him. Good job.

Red: The second that you hand him the little bunny, he would tense "No no no, fuck, Y/n take this thing away from me!" then you didn't, and now he's unsure of what the hell he's supposed to do. This little creature was just... his eyeshine would shoot between the bunny, then at you, waiting for you to take the rabbit. "How the hell is this thing so small, Y/n?" it really is tiny... please take it away from him, he cannot handle this.

Edge: When you hand him the little rabbit, he is unsure of what he is supposed to do about it. "Y/n, why did you give me this?" he holds out his hands back at you, "take them back." when you step backward, he panics a little and steps closer "Y/n! Take them back. I do not want to hold the bunny!" he really cannot handle this right now. Y/n, take back the bunny, he will never want to hold them for that long. Little animals like that scare him.

Axe: You would have to be careful when you give him the bunny, he would stare down at it and slowly rub the tip of his finger against its soft and fluffy head. He feels like he wanted to cry when he sees it in his big hands, they're... so small. Did you really trust him with something this small and cute? He could easily kill this creature, but... he didn't want to kill them. He didn't want to hurt them. Welp... now he's attached to the bunny so hope you don't expect to get it back from him for a long time. He might even put it into the crack in his skull to keep it there to make sure that it's safe.

Lover: "Oh my god!" she would say, then grin, looking down at the little creature in her hands now "They're so cute! Y/n, where did you get this little baby?" she starts to 'kiss' over the bunny making sure to be careful, cooing and making soft baby sounds. Your datemate just got stolen by your bunny. Sorry about that. Too late.

Gang: You trust him holding something this small? Y/n, it fits in the palm of his hand pretty much! He can hold it with one hand. He could hurt it, he doesn't want to hold it anymore, you need to take this thing away from him right now. Afterwards, he might feel a strange... shaken feeling in his body. Maybe just because he wasn't used to the idea of people trusting him with something that small and cute... he's still shocked that you trust him to be around you.

Bandit: "Ah yes! You trust me the most to take care of your little creature! Well know that you put him into good hands" he looks down at the bunny, silent for a few seconds starting to shift and squirm then shakes his head quickly "it is not in good hands! Take him back from me Y/n!" he holds it out so you would take it back. He wouldn't admit that he started to feel nervous but... he started to feel nervous.

Snackers: "oh! Is this for me? I know just the thing to make with this!" he says, already all excitedly grinning. You have to explain that no, it's not food it's a cute little creature that he can't hurt! He pouts a little but nods, looking down at the little creature then back up at you "I'm cuter, right?" You smile, and lean over, kissing his cheek "of course you are... now be careful with holding them, or I'm gonna be upset" you warn making him nod and he sits down on the ground right there, just in case. He's a good boy.

Butcher: When you hand them the little bunny, they're going to stare down at it blinking slowly, then look back at you tilting their head in a silent way asking why did you give me this small creature? Then shrug. They would start to walk away with it in their hands. You just lost your bunny, it belongs to them now and you can't do anything to stop that. They would, of course, give it back if you asked them to but they kind of want to keep it... it's tiny and cute, and they love things that are tiny and cute, that's why they love you so much.

Today I found my old Quotev account and saw this comment someone left on a post I wrote as an actual child:

And origin story is, often times, engaging and fun to read. This was like reading a ten year old's diary entry. Next time you try writing out an origin story, make it an actual story. Weave your OC's history into the narrative and make it entertaining. [3] The last point I'm going to make is an issue one can see without even clicking on this. Your cover. In any site, have it be Wattpad or Fanfiction.net or even regular old books, a cover is everything. Other than the title, it's the very first thing that your desired audience will see. From what I have deduced, your so called 'cover' is a selfie (I have super big problems with this but I'll spare you the details). Your cover should pertain to the story's content, and it should be appealing and simple to the eye. That doesn't mean go too simple (ya know,like a god damn selfie) and sometimes even simple fan art would work. I suggest that, because your OC's alter ego is known as Sparrow, you find a PNG or JPG file of something cute like a cartoon bird and edit it until you get a desired outcome. That's all, and I hope you take this advice to heart next time!"

About Time.

Blame that blessed soul who is @electricrogue for this rant, otherwise I wouldn't have even published it.

Also, I wanted to prove my points with quotes and gifs and whatsoever, but my time is unfortunately limited and this bloody app would delete everything with more that 3 low quality .jpg, so I settled for a quick, plain text sort-of-meta.

Feel free to add content, context, rants, elaborations, speculations, proofs...the more we are, the wider and the deeper the discussion grows.

I was thinking about Helen's relationship with time, given the fact that she's immune to its passing. Thus, she has a lot of past behind her back, but just as well she has an indeterminate amount of future before her, not mentioning a very heavy present to deal with.

But this is just a metaphor: in reality, Helen deals with Time in a very tangible way….by travelling back in time. Literally, she is to live again her past, by means of her new present, trying not to alter a future which is literally in her past.

Bloody hell.

So I thought, what if Time were a part of her life even in a more subtle way? We know that out of The Five, only Helen and Nikola inherited the indeterminate lifespan granted by the Sanguine Vampiris genetic traits. John gained it through Helen's blood, even if it's still unknown whether, if she suspended her injections, he would've grown old and died normally. Nigel probably had some sort of prolonged lifespan too, until he decided that eternal life was more of a curse and less of a blessing, and simply died. James didn't inherit anything of the sort, and had to put his immense brain at work to solve this very specific, very personal issue, and probably never really got over this misfortune of his.

Of these four men, three have been part of Helen's life in the most intimate way. We know John has been her fiancee, before becoming a murderer and a madman, then there's been James, and finally it's been Nikola's turn (whether for past!Helen or future!Helen or both, it's not to be known for sure).

So let's try a spectacular leap of faith and look at these three man from Time's perspective.

John Druitt. 

He's the past, not specifically Helen's, but the Past. He always stresses how they were happy, how perfect it was, how he could make it better if only they could go back to the past.

Totally ignoring that even before the Source Blood he was less than perfect (a bloody misogynist as for Adam's words, and if another madman has the clarity of mind to see through him...), and that the Blood probably only drew out what already was there, which maybe would've found another way to come out, sooner or later.

He doesn't care about this new Helen who keeps rejecting him, he wants "his Helen" back, that meek, frightened cute thing she once was.

More than this, Helen herself talks of him like the Past. He's not Druitt anymore. She doesn't love him and never will anymore. She feels guilty, but that's all. She even hates him, she probably would've killed him in Tempus, and the more he tries to push her back to the past, the more he chooses to move on and build back something dead, something that doesn't and cannot comprehend her anymore, and the more she pushes him away.

She tries to build a new friendship, something new between them, she desperately wants to believe he still can be saved, as a human being, not as a lover, but he doesn't want this pity and he refuses to accept it.

To Druitt, only Past exists.

Then there's James. He's rooted in the present. He quite likely can't count on the future that much, not like Helen. Without his machine, he's literally dead. Literally. His future belongs to the past because he wasn't meant to last this long.

But he doesn't dwell on the past, either.

He has his present, and he goes on and on, doing his duty, helping the present, helping Helen...but he sort of lacks Helen's foresight.

He's dutiful and accurate, and quite a genius - but he's not the genius who looks onto the future: he solves present problems, be they social order problems or medical problems. 

There's a problem, James solves it, then moves onto the next.

No curiosity, not anymore. No darings. No discovers.

Doing his job, that's James.

He's the very epitome of boring....genial but boring, teaching and learning and then using nothing of it except that which has immediate use.

No wonder Helen grew out of love for him. Fondly loving him as a brother, that's true, but nothing more...he doesn't have the same spark as she has. He openly sulks that she doesn't visit him often in London, as a friend. They are friends, but each on his side of time.

Who then is left for Future?

Someone who only and always looks at the Future, further and beyond, always pushing forward...?

Yes. That's him. No need to elaborate.

Curious, daring, sparkling energy (...literally…). He's the one Helen seeks for adventures. He's the one sharing her reckless and restless quest for the unknown, for the sake of knowledge itself. He's the one injecting her the Blood, and she's the one revamping him to make him a part of her future again. To have a future where Nikola exists.

Nikola is Helen's future. But also her present and her past. He loves her because he loves what she was, what she is and what is yet to be.

And I'm sure Helen understood this very well, so well that she broke her promise and risked the timeline just to seek him, his help, his presence. To create a new Sanctuary for a future that had already been built.

If there's a future for Helen Magnus and her Sanctuary, it's nothing but inevitable that Nikola Tesla will be there in that future he helped to build.
