"Who else is going to put up with all that?" - His friends! Many of whom initally did go through a period of "putting up with" his annoying-ness, but grew to love him deeply, despite - or even because of - his annoying traits.

Very understandable that you don't believe you'd gel with his personality if you met him real life - I won't deny that he's annoying! But it's hardly a miracle that he's found one person, Garak, who likes him, when he's found many people who enjoy his company and choose to spend time with him 💕💕

I've got to be honest: I think Julian Bashir is annoying. Garak is too, to be clear! They're both very compelling, interesting, layered characters, but I would not wish to spend any time with either of them in real life. Frankly a miracle that they find each other because who else is going to put up with all that.

#I really loved going to find some of these scenes #I adore Sisko's smile when he agress to hear Julian's analysis #He knows full well that Julian's going to go into full detail and he's so proud of him #It's so sweet #And the Ezri friendship scene I know is just a little background bit #but it's just so precious to me #having fun together without thinking anyone is watching #(odo poking quark at the very end about them leaving... holding *hands* is wonderful too)#i'm sorry to have feelings all over this if you did just mean this as a joke/hyperbole #but it's so important to me that i can see my own ''annoying'' - and honestly nd traits - in him when i watch the show #and that he isn't simply rejected for them but that he ends up being very loved #as i say - of course it's valid that you'd find him too annoying irl to be friends with #i've definitely known people who just *grate* on me even though they're otherwise perfectly lovely #but it's definitely not just garak who enjoys his company haha!#julian bashir #my beloved #my trek musings #wsb
