If you've ever wondered why it's not just rude but generally shitty behavior to litter trash instead of disposing of it properly this* is why (*warning that the link is to a news story which contains a picture of a dead goose)

#sorry I'm not being very nice and proper about this one #but it's been widely known for decades that littering harms wildlife and people alike #and I'm really sick how much I continue to see people litter even though it's known and has been known for a while that it's bad #Like I see people spike their trash at the ground when there's a trashcan like a meter or two away #and they try to act all cool and edgy about it #tell me what is cool and edgy about potentially harming people and wildlife
