man... i was going through my 15 year old deviantart account and i actually really really miss that site. like tumblr is fun and insta is.. insta... but i dont think since then there's been such an art-focused community with so many people talking to each other and commenting on each others work quite like deviantart
(ofc massive disclaimer that i probably have some rose-tinted vision and the site was full of creeps and pedos... so if we could just have the good parts of it back LMAO)
#i was obsessed with it as a teen and definitely posted some risky stuff that adult me would be like do NOT SHARE THAT ON THE INTERNET#but also it was so nice to have a selection of online art friends#it felt like a proper community which i didnt have irl#nowadays posting art online feels more.. idk? like ur presenting something to an algorithm to make the number go up#i dont care about engagement nearly as much as i used to but its hard not to get pulled in when every fuckin site is like this#deviantart felt more intimate and like youre sharing your art with friends and talking about it#..except there's that one friend who REALLY wants you to draw some feet#s text#anyway a few of you guys still follow me from the deviantart days and just let it be known i remember u and love u and hope life is good <3

We visited this petroglyph site on our way back west!
NOTE: the second and third photos are replica petroglyph rocks made for photos and touching. The actual site (first photo) was extremely protected by fencing.

I'm really impressed by how smoothly the Elden Ring Seamless Co-op Mod works. Super simple install and my friend and I were able to connect immediately.
Riding around limgrave on our torrents together, exploring and fighting bosses and dying without constantly having to stop to re-summon really streamlined our gaming time. My new favorite way to play
#being able to rest at sites of grace at the same time also feels nice :^)#the mod is still in beta and there are some bugs which the mod page is very transparent about#but it worked so much smoother than id expected it to it was great

#mountain-goat-loy-official#lou plays#Horizon Zero Dawn#the only thing I'm good at in hzd is jump and try to fall short enough for loy to live#and I'm not even all that great at that. thank fuck for Banuk Werak Chieftain my beloved#the one thing I will say though is that I don't remember the last time I used fast travel because I tend to just run everywhere#the map is small enough and the machine sites far enough apart that it's not a hassle to just do some sightseeing on the way to places#still finding corners of the map's edge that I haven't tried walking out of tho. which is always nice#you know I love some mountain landscapes

Some people may not know but Comicstreet is somewhat my (mamath's) baby, so I end up doing 90%+ of the work for it. That includes this years key art, which is a funny dino in honour of Akira Toriyama, who drew the best silly fantasy dinosaurs. 🦖
