☹️ I'm sorry to hear that you're not having a great time there! I think field staff support and just general crew culture can make a huge difference in making or breaking a field experience. I did two seasons in WA, a summer and fall, and I was a trail crew lead for both of those! I spent most of the summer on hitch bouncing between different forest service districts in every part of the state, and in the fall I was based in Mt. Rainier, working on the Wonderland trail and habitat restoration in the alpine meadows up at Paradise. I definitely had some pretty crazy & challenging moments there but overall it was a super positive experience for me!
