I don't know how I would describe Caleb's actual preferences in a potential romantic partner but I sure DO psychoanalyze the fact that he seems to prefer people with an inclination to be gentle and nurturing and who like kids, want kids, or already have kids of their own.

Which is like a whole thing about how people generally gravitate toward partners who remind them of their parents or if their parents were lacking desirable qualities, they often go for what they wish their parents could've had to fill the void left by their childhood. There's also the social commentary that men often prefer these traits because sexist ones treat a wife like someone who will cook/clean/fuck them whenever they want with no consequence but perhaps that's a topic for another time cause I have things to do.
