#castlevania#castlevania music#curse of darkness#music of the day#otherwise known as young nobleman of madness#isaac joins alucard and joachim as the characters named 'young nobleman' and he's the oddest one lmao#if the title is meant to mean 'prince of madness' then it's quite the badass title for a villain#in any case#this slaps ass hard#it's probably *the* rockiest track in the whole series#complete with chanting that somehow fit#it's nothing but constant intense energy and it's really fun to listen to as a boss theme#fitting the high octane fights with hector's rival and his innocent devils keeping you on your toes#but it can also represent the violent vicious hatred isaac has succumbed to#to the point that there's no room for anything else in his heart#yamane said it herself: 'insane yet with a tragic fate'#the tragic part of his character is more evident in the solo#that changes chords from major to minor#it's like it's saying 'you have to kill him because he's too far gone'#and it's so good that the same melody is present in the intro cutscene#of all parts i absolutely adore the guitar screech at the end of the solo#it sounds like isaac's war cry at the beginning of his second boss battle#all his fury and grief concentrated in one note#it's beautiful
