4. Pick a design choice for the new outfits!

Anything that's weather appropriate!! We missed out on that in Atlas (even if Ruby's fit there is my favourite of the series) and I would like to see that corrected in the desert. Give me some breathable and flowy fabrics. Seems like Weiss is on the right track from the tiny preview we got, but also... her shoulders are going to burn immediately. 😔

8. Any characters you wish had lived?

This is probably the most unpopular opinion on the planet but uh. Jacques Schnee? Or at the very least, I wish that if he absolutely had to die, then the way it happened was different. He was an abusive father, husband, and ceo that hurt a tremendous amount of people. And RWBY does tend to punish characters like that with karmic death often... but having it be at the hands of Ironwood when the tin can was too far off the deep end just left a bad taste in my mouth. Does his family - all of whom have complicated and different feelings about him - even know that's how he died? Or do they just think he fell with Atlas? I guess it served to show just how truly far gone Ironwood was, but imo we knew that before then so it just felt unnecessary to me.

9. Any characters you wish had died?

Not really something I wish on characters, tbh. If anything I wish some characters just hadn't been included in the story to begin with but... /shrug

11. Pitch a new Grimm!

I like the ones that have their own literary allusions for inspiration or some gimmick beyond just Fighting. So maybe something like a Siren or other creature from folklore? 🤔

Tbh I can't really think of one. I'm not big on crossovers myself and know they're mostly about trying to expand the audiences of two IPs at the same time. Maybe some proper anime crossovers? Idk how they'd put two magical girl shows together, but that could be fun.

I like the idea that what we know about it from The Indecisive King isn't the extent of how it works. Fairytales always have some truth, but rarely are they ever the whole truth. Not sure how else it might be different or what its limits might be tho. The semantics sound really complicated to sort out.

18. Theory for the Relic of Destruction?

I can't remember where the idea came from first, but the Relic of Destruction requiring a payment of some kind to be used is interesting to me. Having unique prices to pay that's fairly steep depending on the request would be a decent safety measure for not letting that sword be used excessively by the wrong kind of people.

28. Fairytale character you’d want to see RWBYified?

There are quite a few I'd like to see tbh. Of the top of my head, Thumbelina, Sleeping Beauty, Princess and the Pea, and Swan Lake. Maybe not all of them at once, but certainly some untapped potential in here.

Any idea on why the lfc social media team stopped showing Trent and Domi together? We used to get so much content because it was obvious the fans loved it, and then suddenly nothing. They still seem close though so it can't be that.

It's very telling how they did it right after the infamous butt tickling live shots. Those two idiots must have caused a lot of headache for them, I think you are very right about that😭😭 I had an anon asking it ( I cant find the ask anymore,. I'm sorry! 😔), but remember how they had to quickly throw together a whole ass article about their ~blooming bromance~. I don't think that was a planned journalistic moment, at all 😭😭

@sliceduplife - It's the week of Lent, so I no longer operate on a morning/noon/night schedule. The only time that matters is how many days before Lent (two), how many days of Lent (40, technically 46), and after. Kind of like my obsession with this show - days before the next episode (five), how many weeks I still have this show (seven), and the aftermath.

I must cherish this show while I have it, so let me scroll through my mind's storage room to find some other queer friends to help with these answers.

In the infamous words of Bad Buddy's Pat and Pran:

Do you see the smiley lamp in the picture above? That smiley lamp launched a hundred think pieces on its symbolism in this scene, and a majority came down to two conclusions: 1) it's the light in a dark time aka it's the hope in this depressing scene where Pran gets his hopes swiftly crushed by an unknowing Pat, and 2) it's Pran immediately putting on his facade, so Pat doesn't suspect that Pran actually likes HIM and not Ink.

Applying those ideas to Bed Friend, the lamp is showing us that 1) even though Uea just had an alarming episode in the parking lot, there is hope that he will be okay, and 2) he will continue to wear this mask of happiness. Jade and King ask Uea if he is okay, and each time, he says he is fine. The lamp shows hope, but it also demonstrates how Uea covers up his pain with a smile.

Pran and Uea got their lamps from the same store - The Smile & Denial Store.

Maybe you can already tell where I'm going with this. The color palette for a command and error code is a mixture of red, blue, and green. Right before we see Uea's flashback in the parking lot, the colors go into the negative.

In the parking lot, the darkness triggers his episode. The switch into the negative happens quickly, and when the color comes back, it has the error code written throughout the flashback.

Uea's brain can't tell what is happening right now and what is the past. Both of them are blending together at that moment, and he can't escape. His brain cannot distinguish reality, in the present. This is when King grabs him and tethers him to the present.

Later, we see Uea sitting on his couch thinking about his past, but he clearly knows he is thinking about the past instead of believing he is living that experience because the error code colors are missing.

Also, when is Saturday coming and why are there only 8 episodes to this show?

Me, refreshing this Gagaoolala page eighteen times an hour just in case the episode is released earlier.

Old Fashion Cupcake got me in five episodes. My Beautiful Man did me in with six. To My Star had me in less than two hours. If Bed Friend knows what to do with each one of these episodes, which by the looks of episode one, it does, I'll be thrilled with each episode and the story that is being told.

Thank you for your interest dear anon <3 Honestly, I would love to do something like that for Sigma but we really don't have much to go off from at the moment, which is kinda upsetting because Sigma has so much potential in my opinion! (I'll share it down below since it's like I have enough for a bit but not too much and honestly most of it is more of what I feel Sigma could do for the narrative/theme rather than only on Sigma himself I apologize)

From a philosophical perspective, Sigma is very interesting from a perspective of studying being, or in other words what "to be" means, that sort of thing (though I will not dare say I am extremely knowledgeable on ontology orz). So he has a lot of potential :). This was something I wrote in Discord before but let me reiterate a bit. Sigma's whole character sort of makes us question how we come to be in the world. I mean, sure, we are not written into a book and born without memory, but we like Sigma cannot control the fact that we are born into the world, into circumstances we cannot determine

As @/daz4i out in this post, the whole DOA arc reveals the existential horror that is embedded within our daily lives! It would also be interesting for the characters in bsd to explore this idea through this angle, especially paired with the existential theme bsd has going on because it shows that like oh, we can't really just choose what we want to do, we're still bound by other things in the world, our society and we could just die with a flip of a button of One Order if Fukuchi chose to. This reveals the deep interdependence we have going on and shows that (in Judith Butler's words) the idea of the self is always situated in an “elaboration [...] of social bonds”. This would then reveal this tension between the fact that we are basically kind of in situations we cannot control but also the fact that in a sense we also determine how things turn out (or a better wording would be we are born and influenced by historical and social contexts that shape us as a person but at the same time we are also shaping these historical and social conditions) <- this is something I'm academically interested in rn so excuse me for just dumping my thoughts orz (it is also fascinating since this applies not only to a existential standpoint but also to theories in language, literary interpretation and on selfhood. Anyways....)

I just think Sigma's character has the potential to move the narrative and theme in this direction because he is literally a character born from a book, and it could lead the characters to enquire in a self-reflexive way about their own being as a character of a story. And it would be quite interesting since the act of thinking of oneself as a character which in a sense doesn't have control has some parallels to the existential horror thing I mentioned earlier...

Anyways I hope this makes sense and thank you for letting me share my thoughts with you <3

I would love if bsd would pair Chuuya, Dazai and Sigma together and explore the idea of what humanity means. This was sort of raised in the sky casino arc with the idea of superhuman vs normal humans but I want more >:(. Sigma is a curious character since I don't even know if we would categorize him as human? I hadn't read stormbringer yet so I can't speak on Chuuya but it's interesting that Dazai being human feels inhuman yet Sigma who is and can be said to he inhuman is presented as a normal human.

After watching 5x06 what’s your theory about the incoming bucktaylor angst? Do you believe what happened at the end of 5x06 could possibly lead to something more serious? I don’t know, Taylor was acting kind of weird while she was asking buck all those questions especially the expressions she made … I don’t know, I definitely felt that something was off and it was also intentional on Megan’s part to act that way? Plus the way she was speaking to someone on the phone when Buck came in made me think that maybe her boss is forcing her to fish for info somehow?

I don’t know maybe I’m reading too much into this lol but I gotta be honest I don’t have good feelings about my beloved bucktaylor😔 (and I’m saying this as fan of this ship, I always liked the idea of them being together) I think they are going to break up sooner or later but I really hope to be wrong about this! Also... I really don't know what people are talking about when they say that Taylor was acting weird in that scene. She was worried about Buck, asked about his day, and something was making her sad.

And I think that something that is making her sad is what's going to be playing into the BuckTaylor angst in 508. I've seen people suggest that maybe she was a foster kid or had some other parental issues - and that maybe that phone call was an absent parent trying to reconnect with her. And honestly? I really really love that idea. It's also going to be an interesting parallel because it seems that Hen's bio dad is going to suddenly come into the picture in 507.

And I think Taylor is going to be a little bit overwhelmed by it all. She's somebody who is very upfront and honest, but when it's deeply personal... she hides from it or runs from it until she can get her head on straight. So whatever personal thing is going on with her, she's going to do her Taylor thing where she acts like everything is fine, all while hiding what she's really feeling until she can come to terms with it. And that also explains perfectly Megan saying she put her whole heart into it, because that's going to be some really great material for her to be working with.

And Buck being Buck? He's going to assume that he's the source of her conflict, and he's going to be afraid that she wants to break up with him. He's going to assume that he's the problem, but isn't going to want to push anything.

And then eventually, when she finally feels that she's got her head on straight, she talks with him about it. She tells him about whatever is is that's been eating her up inside - whether that be an unexpected ghost from her past or something else entirely. And just like she was there to support him when he was convinced everybody blamed him for Maddie and Chim leaving, he's going to be there to support her through whatever it is she's going through.

Honestly? There is no doubt in my mind that these two are endgame, and I will legitimately be shocked if they actually break up in 508. Whatever that arc is, it's going to end with them growing even closer and being established as a Main Couple/endgame ship.
