#for context#the israeli army fashioned itself the alias of 'invincible army'#this came after multiple israeli victories in the region- namely the nakba of 1948 and naksa of 1967#but in 1968 israel lost which ended up dismantling the so-called legend of their invincibility#and the battle was named karameh- arabic for dignity#a few more conflicts followed like in 1973 and 1982#egypt-syria retaliation (coalition) and the israeli invasion of south lebanon respectively#and the rest is history#so to speak#from the river to the sea palestine will be free
