*Slade smiling but also maybe crying a little*: “yeah they dont. Wanna go get some ice cream kid?”

A few hours later

*Rose walking thru the hallways when she hears slade singing and stops to look into her room*

☼ ok so ive drawn jay roy and tim with jay’s jacket on him for the farm au and i dont think i gave context so : for reminders, jason goes to college at the end of the summer tim gets adopted, but they get really close. tim is 14, jason is 18, and roy is 20 but very close to jason as well and after an argument with ollie abt addictions flees to jason’s appartment in the city, like, in october ? november ? of that same year. they’re basically roommates and also pinning after one another, and tim takes the bus to come see jason on week ends sometimes, like, after christmas that year (because he realises even if he has warmed up to the rest of the family, hes just much more comfortable w jason and sometimes he just needs to see him sobs....) so like tim is there every other week ends and when he’s on vacations too and jason’s friends (roy, kory, artemis & bizarro whos human name is bill ive decided) have all basically adopted him,,, one time all of core four comes up to the city and both groups hang out together for the whole week end,,,, shenanignas,,,, 

anyway that specific piece of jay n roy with tim is one time when tim is 15/16 and went to the city alone and he arrived late at night and jay and roy are supposed to come fetch him but they’re Late for Reasons and someone corner tim in a corner for his wallet or his phone or smth worse and tim gets hit when he panics and doesnt do anything just before jay n roy arrive n Rescue him,,, roy sees the situation and just bodyslam the guy into he wall and jason drags tim (and then roy) away..... they protecc

☼ cassie gets in fights at school (and out of school) a lot and she pretends that she keeps the bandaids for bart who is a magnet for little objects that gives him little cuts but actually she uses them more on herself,,,, shes hot tempered a lot,, mellows out a bit around her 17th bday. she just has a lot of anger issues and sometimes its hard to manage but u know what always work ? one of the boys jst petting her head while she lays it on their lap. just. soft. shes upset and angry ? conner just grabs her and make her lay down and breath a bit. sometimes she cries and she doesnt know why either. shes just doing her best :(

i could make an entire post about jasons family. i love them. but specifically in relation to jason its a lot of delusional wishing and a lot of oof. i dont think jason and bruce repairing their relationship completely is realistic w the way comics are now, but i think he still places a lot of trust in dick, maybe more than dick deserves, just bc dick really was his hero growing up and he cares about him so much. i love jason and damian being brothers thru talia. but also, realistically, i think jason probably has the best relationship w duke rn bc duke didnt get all the failed robin stories that the others did nor was he around for jasons death so its like a clean slate type of deal. in general, though, i wish his relationship w everyone was better and i wish there was more elaboration on all of it
