well now i’m into the royal stuff so y’all get some catch up (passed 200 hours in this game last night lmao)

so first some standard stuff:

i get why they changed up all the boss fights at least a little bit? but i don’t think they needed it really. madarame’s and sae’s were def changed for the better, but kaneshiro’s kinda sucked, and everyone else was pretty neutral

i also get why they didn’t change any of the shit about ryuji and morgana’s fight and haru’s introduction, but it’s still So Fucking Stupid and poorly done and i hate it

still a little bothered that status ailments are shorter by a turn when a) technicals are so goddamn important to combat now and b) it makes confusion farming kind of suck

not that i didn’t DO it but it kind of sucked is all

made a whole damn post about it but i love how much More city decoration and stuff there is for holidays! it’s just a nice touch

maybe it’s just the timing of when i did things but it felt like there was a bit less [REDACTED] apologism in the group chat which was tight

that being said i liked how our final confrontation with him changed juuuuust a bit to account for what came up in his confidant 

i was SUPER worried about not liking royal bc of what i was hearing about his involvement but even just the expanded standard stuff was so well done

where was this character care for like. idk. ryuji.

still unsure what exactly the trigger was for new girl awakening to her persona but let me tell you i sure didn’t enjoy planning to send a calling card and then having to instead spend the day running after her into creepy mystery palace

that’s a lie i loved it but also Stress. really glad i didn’t put off okumura’s palace for later bc i think that exploration was the trigger? and boy would that have sucked

really enjoyed all the reworked confidant skills! iwai’s in particular really stands out, even though i keep forgetting i have a gun and should be using it

ohya’s is still pretty weak, but it’s better and her story has always been one of my faves so  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

thank you fusion alarm for letting me get (almost) everyone’s max weapons in like 3 days bc i forgot about them until shido’s change of heart lmao

and thank you iwai for customizing weird magic guns. your talents know no bounds.

unsure of the age gap between kasumi and sumire tbh. are they like. only 10 months apart or something? and their birthdays just put them in the same grade??

all the conversations with my friends about how their happiness was fake sucked? but haru’s and yusuke’s and futaba’s were the WORST

futaba’s may have been better if my brother hadn’t been whispering “you monster...” at me while i was doing it

... i made a post about this last night but navi![REDACTED] was incredible and i miss him already

he’s such a conniving manipulative shit-eating bastard and it’s PERFECT

he screamed “BE FUNNY” at me in his murder voice while i was trying to negotiate with a shadow and i in real life fell off my couch laughing

i said this during my playthrough of standard (and at other times besides) but i’ve always found him more interesting as an unrepentant jackass. he’s a much better narrative foil when he’s just as stubborn and sure of himself as we are, instead of woobied to shit like fandom seems to enjoy doing to him.

slightly unrelated but. how the fuck was sumire able to get a persona when she didn’t even know who she really was???? how the fuck does that fit into your logic, game
