"What is your power?" I heard R say after OV pointed to him.

"My ability is Illusion. I can create light illusions that affect everybody, sensory illusions that can do the same thing but to one specific person or mess with their hearing and touch making them think something is real, and then mental illusions which are pretty dangerous since they, well, mess with a person's brain directly. This mostly includes being able to lock them in something that they think is real, like an alternate reality or permanent nightmare, and messing with memories so you won't find me using these illusions often, in fact it is pretty rare to see me use them," they said.

Of course I got out my notebook and started writing.

They pointed to someone else. "Are you using a voice changer or is that the mask making your voice seem deeper?" I heard E ask.

"It is a mix of both, the mask will naturally change my voice any way I want it. I don't know how it works, moving on," they said.

I raised my hand, and a few seconds later they pointed to me. "How did you transfer here? You obviously had to have a pretty good reputation back in America, but what did you have to do to transfer?" I said, asking the question that had been in the back of my mind for the past week. I could've sworn I saw the eyes on their mask move making them seem excited to answer.

"I actually was really involved in making plans for almost everything back home, and this got noticed when one of my plans got me and about 10 others out of a hostage situation, and it kinda went from there. I even made the plan that got my town in the news countrywide after one of the main villains that had been terrorizing the whole state had been taken down," they answered.

Huh. That is pretty impressive, not gonna lie.

"Well I suppose it's good that we have someone who can make plans up on the go, because you're gonna need it with this class," DE said.

"I know, I've heard. I've been staying up to date on the news here since I was told we were gonna be moving here a few months ago. Although I'm assuming there is a lot more that doesn't make it to any of the headlines, am I right?" They said.

"Wow, you read us like a book," CG said with a hint of surprise.

"Indeed I am pretty good at reading people, part of strategy and being able to tell whether or not someone is under influence of any type of illusion due to my ability. I can tell that this is the right place for me already, the perfect mix of order and chaos and plenty of determination in your spirits. Any more questions?"

I raised my hand again. "Is OV your real name or initials?"

They paused for a second. "Well, it is my name. But I'm guessing the whole initials thing is because it is just letters. It doesn't actually stand for anything, and is more of an alias that I use, but it is technically my name, it's just my middle name, and I will not be sharing my first name. We put it in as initials because I really don't like it when people use my actual name, so now not even faculty knows what it is," they said.

"Is that true?" O asked.

"Ask your teacher," they said.

"Already on it," DE responded. A moment later he laughed. "How did you manage that? It doesn't even show two names, each one letter, just two letters as one name," he said, seeming a bit amused.

"I have my ways," they said.

"What'd you do, hack the system?" L asked, annoyed but when is he not?

"Yes, no, maybe so. You'll just have to find out on your own," they said. I could tell he was getting a bit more agitated with their response.

"How many languages can you speak? Since you're from a different country and all…" I said, trying to change the subject.

"I can fluently speak 3, and am learning a fourth. I can talk in Japanese, English, Portuguese, and am learning Spanish too," they answered.

"Why did you move here?" I heard K ask.

"I… don't really know. I was just told we would be moving here a few months ago and was too excited during said months to question the reasoning behind it… talk to me tomorrow I can probably get an answer by then," they said.

I looked at the clock. Somehow this had only taken about 8 minutes of the given 15.

"I think we might be almost out of questions, anyone have any more?" OV asked as they looked around the room.

"What's with the gloves?" CG said.

"These have to do with the mask. For the record I don't know where it came from or how it works, I just found it one day. Anyways, the mask will kinda connect to my brain once strapped on, it won't work if one of the straps is undone. If I am getting scared or having a panic or anxiety attack, or just feel like it, this black substance will cover my entire body. If I am still in that mode, it does nothing. But once I am back to normal, it becomes extremely corrosive and works like acid. The gloves are here so I don't accidentally hurt anyone and the reason they don't disintegrate is because as the acid retracts it will take any that my skin is in contact with, so none is left on the gloves. It is a little confusing, especially since I have no idea how any of the functions work, just that it is connected to my brain somehow and the mask responds to all sorts of different signals," they explained.

That left us in shock. Well, most of us anyways. It seemed to spark quite a bit of curiosity and wonder in most of us, and then there's L who isn't even fazed, more treating everything like a lie.

"So you can cover your skin in acid, big deal. How are we supposed to know it's not an illusion of yours?" He said. He makes a fair point, they could just make an illusion.

"Listen, I may be able to make illusions, but I can't make your body pass through something that is still there. Even if I used light and sensory illusions, it wouldn't last if I was knocked out. How about we test your theory later? I'm sure I can prove to you that what I say is true," they said, challenging him.

I didn't like their tone, it sounded like a taunt. I don't think they should be taunting him, it could lead to disastrous results, but I have no idea what is going through their mind.

"What else can your mask do?" I heard S ask.

They took their attention away from L and back towards the rest of us. "Well, it is completely invisible to me when it is activated I guess you could say, at least from this side, like a one-way window. The white parts can glow, and you can pass through them at all times. The black parts can switch between being solid and able to pass through. I think that's everything it can do… yeah that should be all it's abilities," they said.

"That's a lot for a mask…" I said under my breath. Apparently they just… found this? That is a pretty powerful find… I mean how many objects of what is basically pure magic do you just find lying around?

"Where did you even find that mask?" I said aloud.

"Hm? Oh, it was just kinda lying around, I found it when my family went on a hike several years back. I don't exactly know the location, plus it was in Brazil, but I think there may have been a few other items scattered around the area. My best guess is they were all pretty powerful like this mask, and someone used a strength ability of some kind to throw all of them as far as possible either so no one could find them or because they didn't want them, maybe for some superstitious reason. I know I saw a necklace but I couldn't get it since we had to keep going," they said.

So there was a necklace too? Huh… how many of these items were there? This was probably something I should keep track of, just in case… right as I opened up to a new page in my notebook the lunch bell rang.

"I'm going to assume that is for lunch, before I go where is my seat?" I heard OV ask as we all got up to go to the cafeteria.

Before long they also joined us at lunch, but I lost track of them so I don't know where they went or what they did, not like it would matter too much but still. By the time we got back I noticed a seat in the far back had been added to one of the rows, and that was where OV was sitting. Or so I thought.

We managed to convince DE that with a new student there would be need for a new seating chart anyways, and thus we all moved around somewhat. Someone was nice enough (or didn't care enough) and volunteered to sit alone in the back row.

I chose to stay where I had been sitting, and so did a few others, but OV managed to get a seat in the 2nd row right next to S and CG, SA infront of them and R behind them. They were in the second column closest to the wall opposite of me, and had quite the cast of people who tried to sit next to them, but they refused to play favorites and told us to figure it out for ourselves.

Within a few minutes we had all kinda settled down and got back to the normal school day. Then it was time for training, and despite what most of us thought due to them wearing a boy's uniform, they actually went with the girls to get ready.

I thought they might get kicked out, but they must've said something because they were actually pretty buddy-buddy with many of the girls during training. In fact, upon asking, some of the girls got defensive of them and I again thought I saw the eyes on the mask move to a slightly happy and grateful expression.

They had to get the same tests done that the rest of us did on our first day, but were done in a snap and joined us for regular training. They were pretty average, maybe slightly above in terms of strength, somewhat fast, and had some of the best balance and agility of all of us.

Not much happened though, it was just regular training and soon enough the day was done. As we were about to leave, just waiting for the bell to let us go home and most of us already standing somewhat near the door, OV said something.

"Hey L, you know any place to test your theory?" I heard them say to him, quiet enough that only he could hear. And me.

"You're really sure about this, huh? Alright then, meet me at the nearby park once we're outta here and you can try to convince me," he replied. I didn't like the sound of this, it seems like they are going to fight, but I have no way of knowing.

Unless I follow them.

Fic suggestion (no pressure! I just still in my baby mood :v): Malcolm reacts to baby Tuc! And also reacts to the fact his dad from another dimension is dating another man and had a baby with him...a tiny, cute and fragile baby that is smiling at him.

(When I first read this ask, I read “reacting to Tuc” as “reading to Tuc” and this scenario is what came to my head, so it’s not baby Tuc but more like...idk, three to five year old Tuc I guess? I don’t know much about children or childhood development so I’m not sure what age exactly this would be, but I hope it gives you the “baby” fix anyway!)When Malcolm had located his father in this dimension---or rather, this dimension’s verson of his father---and found out that he had a child, he had expected the child to be him, to be another version of Malcolm. But, it wasn’t. Tuc was definitely not him. Probably because instead of Malcolm’s mother, the other parent was Pietro Maximoff. And Malcolm’s reaction to THAT had just been...how? He seriously wanted to know. Men being able to have babies with men would make repopulating the world THAT much easier and the gene pool that much bigger.

After getting that info, he began working on a way to reverse-engineer it so he could figure out how to do it in his world. While he did this, he stayed with his father...fathers? Alt-father and step-father? He stayed with Fabian and Pietro. Which also meant staying with Tuc. Tuc was alright. Malcolm interacted moderately with the children of his village, one could hardly avoid them in a population so small, and he wanted them to survive, but he wasn’t interested in them either. He neither liked nor disliked them, and was similarly neutral towards Tuc. He didn’t pay much attention to him, he was far more focused on his workTuc, though, immensely curious about him. Too young to really grasp the idea of alternate dimensions, so he had just decided that Malcolm was his brother in a normal sense. He thought he’d gotten a big brother as a gift from Fabian, since Malcolm said Fabian was his father but not Pietro.  Tonight, his “big brother” was watching him while his daddies were out. At least, Malcolm was SUPPOSED to be watching him. But after being sure that the house was secure, he’d left Tuc to play in his room while he went back to working on the machine. He was fairly absorbed in it, not noticing that Tuc had come in until a little voice said behind him,“Can you help me read this?”Malcolm turned and looked down at the tiny boy, who had a book in his hands.“I’m busy. Can you wait for your dads?”“I want to s’prise them,” Tuc explained, “I can’t read good yet. They still have to read for me. I wanna read for THEM!”Malcolm thought about this for a moment. Specifically, he thought about his father smiling, and being able to see that again, even if it was technically on the face of what was technically another man, and for another boy.“Alright,” he said, putting down his tools and turning off the machine, warning Tuc,“Don’t touch it, it’s still hot.”He walked over to the other side of the room, and held out his hands to take the book from Tuc. He knew some books, you could find many books in The City, the zombies hadn’t eaten those. He looked at the cover, but it wasn’t one that he recognized.“Dr. Suss?”“Dr. Seuss, silly!” “Okay. Good start.”|Malcolm sat down cross legged, and Tuc crawled into the space between his massive brother’s massive thighs. That was not what Malcolm had been expecting, but it was not unacceptable either. Malcolm was pretty neutral towards being touched and the like.“Can you read the title?” he asked Tuc.“One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish!” Tuc proclaimed very proudly. In truth, he wasn’t reading it, he just knew what it was called by now.Malcolm opened book, and Tuc repeated the lines. Malcolm thought that the illustrations were some bizarre looking fish, they had EYELASHES. Was that what fish looked like in other parts of the world, maybe? They got weirder when he turned the page. One fish, as Tuc read, had a little star, and another, also stated by the page and Tuc, had a little car. Man, some kids books were weird. Then again, Malcolm found a lot of books in general to be weird, since they were all about a world that no longer existed, a world that had fallen years before he was born.“Some are SAD and some are GLAD and some are very very BAD. Why are t...t...”“Not ‘tt’ like your name, Tuc,” Malcolm instructed, “Thhhhhh. The ‘h’ makes it sound different. Why...are...thhhh....”“They!” Tuc got it, “Why are they sad and glad and bad? I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED. ive been Purchasing various smelly candles for my gay divination activities, and i have a few nominees. i first thought of the candle i have now, a pink one with a very sweet vanilla smell, i love very sweet smells because it makes me think of candy which i tend to try to fill my inner void with. however im going to go with the first candle i bought, a dark orange one with a citrus smell. citrus scents are my next favourite and specifically this one reminded me of curiously smelling candles at my piano teachers apartment when i was very young.

i dont even remember i probably had some kind of fairy wings? i think i remember fairy wings. we went to one (1) house. later on, since we werent allowed to go trick-or-treating, we were each allotted a certain amount of candy, and if we ate more than a designated amount per day, we were in trouble and wouldnt be allowed anymore. i do remember getting in trouble for this. i think i stole someones candy. sibling against sibling. finally we were allowed to go trick or treating, i went with my younger brothers and by then, was a teenager and felt too tall and really uncomfortable

LMAO I JUST REMEMBERED THAT LAST TIME WE WENT TRICK-OR-TREATING NOT IN A RURAL AREA, my dad drove us around in a van and watched us like a hawk i believe. it was very tense and methodical.

Languge you speak/ are learning: I speak English and have taken french for 8/9 years and lived in france for a couple weeks.  I’m not really learning other languages but I kind of pick up on bits and pieces of other languages that I hear, and I watch a lot of foreign movies and tv shows so sometimes I like think in this language called Korfrenglidutchese XD.  Basically I know random words/phrases/exclamations in Dutch, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Italian (I only know the Italian prayer my papa taught me and the curse words he taught me, even though I’m Italian XD), and German.  And it gets hard when in French class I can’t remember the English or French word for blood, and all I can think of is the Korean word...  Stuff like that.  (even though English is my first language XD)

Random Fact: I made a fool of myself on live tv XD  (but that has also not been my first time on tv lol)
