you ever think about how badly they fucked up with Final Fantasy 15 by just... not putting the most important, interesting, necessary, and emotionally resonant parts of the story in the actual game

#this was my first ff game so i'm a bit protective of it #but i'm also very mad at squenix for dropping the ball QUITE so goddamn hard #animations... novelisations... cancelled dlcs (some of which were turned into aforementioned novelisations)...#you shouldn't need all that for a story to make sense but that's the ONLY way anything about ffxv adds up #i literally thought i was just stupid bc i played the game and was like *headscratch* wait huh #nah i'm not stupid there's just huge chunks of context that are straight up missing #annoying!!!!!!!!#this is also my problem with world of warcraft but that example is WAAAAYYYYY more egregious lol #just bc i WILL read/watch out-of-game media if i'm sufficiently Into Something doesn't mean i should have to do that #just to understand what the fuck is happening
