*whispers* would it be controversial of me to say that it's potentially possible to read eddie diaz's specific relationship to masculinity in a closeted way, but in terms of gender, not just sexuality

#eddie diaz #911 show #and by that i mean like trans woman or nonbinary eddie #i've seen a number of trans dude buck fics #but i'd genuinely love to see someone writing a trans eddie fic #i'm not the right person to pull it off successfully though #i'm not REMOTELY saying this is on purpose or that the show has even a snowball's chance in hell of going there #but look: the man is growing a moustache he clearly hates while undergoing an emotional crisis #& most of his problems are from attempting to performatively go through life fulfilling the roles of traditional masculinity #while often having somewhat unhealthy/uncomfortable relationship with intimacy #and he grew up in a repressive catholic environment and then was in the army #the vibes are possible i'm just saying
