Hey!! I was wondering if you could write a fic of Azzi being at Paige’s families lake house? Idk if you saw the photo or not but I feel like this could be a cute fic!
seven years in the works [pazzi]
paige bueckers x azzi fudd
a/n: something little to tide you guys over while i work on my next series! masterlist
word count: 700? idk
“You fit in so well.” Azzi’s looking at the sunset, admiring the way the soft pinks and blues cast a haze over the lake, but the warmth of hands sliding across her stomach and the weight of a chin on her shoulder makes her turn around and stare at something she thinks is even more beautiful.
“Hmm?” she murmurs, not quite understanding what her best friend is talking about but not really caring when she looks like this. Paige is in a simple red shirt, hair messily tied into a low bun, but the way the falling sunlight brings out the blue in her eyes and the glimmer in her smile has her wondering if this could be their forever.
“With my family,” Paige specifies, hands roaming across Azzi’s body and pulling her body closer. “They love you, you know.”
“What can I say?” Azzi smirks. “I guess all Bueckers have a thing for me.”
“And you’re gonna be one soon.” Paige smooths Azzi’s hair out of the way before starting to kiss a trail down the younger girl’s neck, smirking to herself at how Azzi shivers at the contact. Azzi giggles, hands snaking her way into Paige’s hair before she registers what exactly her girlfriend’s just said. “Excuse me?” she says indignantly, letting go of the blonde and taking a step back. “You’re taking my last name.”
Paige looks mildly offended. “But my nickname is Paige Buckets.”
“Well, Azzi Bueckers just doesn’t sound right.”
Paige grabs Azzi’s wrist, desperate for physical contact after only a few seconds of separation. “What about Bueckers-Fudd?” she offers.
Azzi grimaces. “That would be kinda long on the back of our jerseys.”
“We could keep our own last names?”
Azzi scowls, a dark look overtaking her face. “You might as well return the ring.” Paige opens her mouth to start another round of arguing, but they’re called into the house before she can say anything. The family’s gathered in the den watching a movie, and Paige plops down, easily pulling Azzi down onto her lap before the younger girl can even blink.
“Paige,” Azzi says. “There’s open seats.”
“Don’t care.” Paige’s face is already buried into the fabric of Azzi’s sweater, her hold on Azzi’s hips tight. “Want you.”
“I’m 6 feet tall, I’m not sitting in your lap.”
“5’11, but okay,” Paige cackles. But she adjusts Azzi’s legs so that only the upper half of her body is lying on the older girl. Looking down at Azzi’s face, she smiles, running her fingers gently along her scalp. “Better?” Azzi hums, grabbing Paige’s hand to fold it with hers and bringing it to her mouth for a kiss.
“You guys make me sick,” Paige hears one of her cousins remark, but she’s not sure which one because she doesn’t look up from Azzi’s face. She only sends a middle finger in their general direction, earning her a slap from her best friend.
“Azzi, come play Fortnite with us,” one of the younger ones call out.
“She can’t, she’s busy,” Paige tells back, pressing a soft kiss to the wrinkle on Azzi’s forehead, but Azzi only rolls her eyes. Pushing off Paige, she gets up and saunters over to the little kids. “Sure I can,” she agrees. Paige grits her teeth, deciding to follow after the girl.
“Come on, guys,” Paige pleads. “You guys played with her at the lake for hours this morning. Aren’t you tired of her?”
“Don’t be so selfish,” Drew reprimands his sister. “You get her for nine months a year.” He grabs Azzi’s hand and pulls her down into one of the beanbag chairs, offering her a Wii controller. Azzi takes it, shooting Paige a sly grin that she knows will get her in trouble later but hey.
Paige glowers at her little brother. “I can put you in a plane right now and send you home, don’t even play.”
“Don’t talk to Drew like that,” Azzi defends, turning to the 11 year old to dap him up.
“Bruh,” Paige complains. She sidles up to the beanbag and tries to plop herself down next to Azzi, but gets shoved to the floor instead. “You’re too big,” Azzi laughs before turning her attention to the TV screen. Sulking, Paige gets up from the floor, rubbing her butt and looking for something to do.
“You’re so pussy whipped,” Lauren informs her cousin once Paige makes her way into the kitchen. “But I understand. Azzi’s amazing.”
“I’m not making you one of my bridesmaids anymore,” Paige mutters.
Lauren tosses Paige a sparkling water. “When you gonna pop the question?”
“Azzi wants to focus on college, so definitely not until after she gets drafted. Even then, I’m not sure. I don’t want to distract her during her rookie year, you know?” Paige glances at Lauren, and even though Paige is always poised and confident, her cousin knows her too well, can detect the nerves underlying her voice.
“Paige.” Lauren runs a soothing hand across Paige’s shoulder. “If you keep letting outside stuff dictate your decisions, you’re never gonna get married. If you love her, then ask her.”
Paige rubs a hand across her face. “I just wanna make it perfect. She deserves it.”
“I’m being 100% honest when I say that you could propose to her at a McDonald’s and that girl would still look at you like you’re the moon and stars and everything beautiful in this world.”
“But don’t.” Paige and Lauren turn around at the same time. Azzi’s leaning against the doorway, but she pushes off to press a kiss against Paige’s nose. “Don’t you dare propose to me at a McDonald’s.”
Paige blushes furiously. “How much of that did you hear?”
Azzi grins. “Enough.” Lauren takes that as a signal, and she leaves the room, giving the two their privacy. “Hey.” Azzi cups Paige’s face in her hands, tilting her chin so that they’re making eye contact. “I mean, this has been, what, seven years in the works? Don’t stress about it.”
“I know, I just-” Paige is cut off by a kiss to the lips, and when Azzi pulls away there’s that dazed look in her eyes she always gets whenever Azzi touches her.
“I told you, I don’t need you stressing out over me. You already have so much shit going on. I’m supposed to be your safe place. Okay?”
“Okay,” Paige concedes. Azzi presses another chaste kiss to her lips. “You gonna go back to playing Fortnite now?”
“Nah.” Azzi tilts her head outside. “Wanna catch the last of the sunset?”
Paige’s answer is immediate. “Anything you want.”

Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?
While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior of the country and down to Ephesus where he found some disciples. He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” They answered him, “We have never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” He said, “How were you baptized?” They replied, “With the baptism of John.” Paul then said, “John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.” When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. Altogether there were about twelve men.
He entered the synagogue, and for three months debated boldly with persuasive arguments about the Kingdom of God.

John 16:29-33
Take courage, I have conquered the world.
The disciples said to Jesus, “Now you are talking plainly, and not in any figure of speech. Now we realize that you know everything and that you do not need to have anyone question you. Because of this we believe that you came from God.” Jesus answered them, “Do you believe now? Behold, the hour is coming and has arrived when each of you will be scattered to his own home and you will leave me alone. But I am not alone, because the Father is with me. I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.”

First reading
Acts 20:17-18a, 28-32, 36
Keep watch over yourselves and over the whole flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, in which you tend the Church of God.
From Miletus Paul had the presbyters of the Church at Ephesus summoned. When they came to him, he addressed them, “Keep watch over yourselves and over the whole flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, in which you tend the Church of God that he acquired with his own Blood. I know that after my departure savage wolves will come among you, and they will not spare the flock. And from your own group, some will come forward perverting the truth to draw the disciples away after them. So be vigilant and remember that for three years, night and day, I unceasingly admonished each of you with tears. And now I commend you to God and to that gracious word of his that can build you up and give you the inheritance among all who are consecrated.”
When he had finished speaking he knelt down and prayed with them all.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalm 110:1, 2, 3, 4
You are a priest for ever, in the line of Melchizedek.
The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand
till I make your enemies your footstool.”
You are a priest for ever, in the line of Melchizedek.
The scepter of your power the Lord will stretch forth from Zion:
“Rule in the midst of your enemies.”
You are a priest for ever, in the line of Melchizedek.
“Yours is princely power in the day of your birth, in holy splendor;
before the daystar, like the dew, I have begotten you.”
You are a priest for ever, in the line of Melchizedek.
The Lord has sworn, and he will not repent:
“You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.”
You are a priest for ever, in the line of Melchizedek.
Gospel Acclamation
Mark 1:17
Alleluia, alleluia.
Come after me, says the Lord,
and I will make you fishers of men.
Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel
Matthew 16:13-19
You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church.
When Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

First reading
1 Corinthians 7:25-35
A virgin is anxious about the things of the Lord.
In regard to virgins, I have no commandment from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy. So this is what I think best because of the present distress: that it is a good thing for a person to remain as he is. Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek a separation. Are you free of a wife? Then do not look for a wife. If you marry, however, you do not sin, nor does an unmarried woman sin if she marries; but such people will experience affliction in their earthly life, and I would like to spare you that.
I tell you, brothers and sisters, the time is running out. From now on, let those having wives act as not having them, those weeping as not weeping, those rejoicing as not rejoicing, those buying as not owning, those using the world as not using it fully. For the world in its present form is passing away.
I should like you to be free of anxieties. An unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord. But a married man is anxious about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and he is divided. An unmarried woman or a virgin is anxious about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy in both body and spirit. A married woman, on the other hand, is anxious about the things of the world, how she may please her husband. I am telling you this for your own benefit, not to impose a restraint upon you, but for the sake of propriety and adherence to the Lord without distraction.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalm 148:1-2, 11-13, 13-14
Young men and women, praise the name of the Lord.
or
Alleluia.
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights;
Praise him, all you his angels,
praise him, all you his hosts.
Young men and women, praise the name of the Lord.
or
Alleluia.
Let the kings of the earth and all peoples,
the princes and all the judges of the earth,
Young men, too, and maidens,
old men and boys.
Praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted.
Young men and women, praise the name of the Lord.
or
Alleluia.
His majesty is above earth and heaven.
He has lifted up the horn of his people.
Be this his praise from all his faithful ones;
from the children of Israel, the people close to him. Alleluia.
Young men and women, praise the name of the Lord.
or
Alleluia.
Gospel Acclamation
John 8:31b-32
Alleluia, alleluia.
If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples,
and you will know the truth, says the Lord.
Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel
Mark 3:31-35
Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.
The mother of Jesus and his brothers arrived at the house. Standing outside, they sent word to him and called him. A crowd seated around him told him, “Your mother and your brothers and your sisters are outside asking for you.” But he said to them in reply, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”

First reading
1 Corinthians 2:10b-16
We have the mind of Christ.
Brothers and sisters: The Spirit scrutinizes everything, even the depths of God. Among men, who knows what pertains to the man except his spirit that is within? Similarly, no one knows what pertains to God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand the things freely given us by God. And we speak about them not with words taught by human wisdom, but with words taught by the Spirit, describing spiritual realities in spiritual terms.
Now the natural man does not accept what pertains to the Spirit of God, for to him it is foolishness, and he cannot understand it, because it is judged spiritually. The one who is spiritual, however, can judge everything but is not subject to judgment by anyone.
For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to counsel him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalm 119:9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14
Lord, teach me your statutes.
How shall a young man be faultless in his way?
By keeping to your words.
Lord, teach me your statutes.
With all my heart I seek you;
let me not stray from your commands.
Lord, teach me your statutes.
Within my heart I treasure your promise,
that I may not sin against you.
Lord, teach me your statutes.
Blessed are you, O Lord;
teach me your statutes.
Lord, teach me your statutes.
With my lips I declare
all the ordinances of your mouth.
Lord, teach me your statutes.
In the way of your decrees I rejoice,
as much as in all riches.
Lord, teach me your statutes.
Gospel Acclamation
see John 6:63, 68c
Alleluia, alleluia.
Your words, Lord, are Spirit and life;
you have the words of everlasting life.
Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel
Matthew 7:21-29
He taught them as one having authority.
Jesus said to his disciples: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?’ Then I will declare to them solemnly, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers.’
“Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock. And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined.”
When Jesus finished these words, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

Tagged by my lovely lovely B ( @childoftimeandmagic) thanks darling!
rules: pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions
1. Doctor Who
2. Medici on Netflix
3. Once Upon a Time
4. The Borgias
5. Good Omens
favorite character in 2?
I adored Bradley’s Guiliano de Medici because the layers that we got to see of his character were fantastic. I have an eternal weakness for little shits with hearts of gold - because you’ve got the younger devil may care brother, who hangs out with artist/adopted brother Botticelli and is always down to get drunk but at the same time he’s like the sweetest, playful guy who checks in on his sister in law and reminds Lorenzo to have fun but he takes business very seriously, is endlessly supportive and falls head over heels with a woman he can’t have and like renounces his family for her and I just-
least favorite character in 1?
Um, the 11th Doctor? I don’t mind a lot of the time, and he had some beautiful speeches and episodes (Vincent and the Doctor is flawless) but he was too chaotic, he was horribly flippant at some points, like blowing up an entire fleet just to make a point (and yes, they were Cybermen) but that’s...tyrannical. He was unfeeling and forgetful and presented as like a big kid who would never hurt anyone and he just wasn’t the Doctor for me.
favourite season of 5 + 2?
Well, Good Omens only had one season, but it’s a masterpiece.
And for 2 it’s definitely Season 2: Medici the Magnificent. I just don’t like the 1400s. (something Crowley and I have in common) and the Renaissance is a favourite period of mine but also the story and the dynamics and the casting in Season 2 is just *chef’s kiss*
favourite couple in 2 and 3?
oh that’s quite hard for Medici because all the main couples have great chemistry but I really like Francesco and Novella because the angst? Like it’s a very similar thing for Clarice with Lorenzo and Simonetta with Guiliano in that the guys just sort of melt around their significant others but with Francesco and Novella it’s the way he gets some softness in his life, and is immediately smitten and its a relationship that is wholly private beyond politics except for his shit of an uncle poisoning the well and just from a historical point of view, I kinda wish it had worked out and the Pazzi conspiracy had never happened
LOOK AT HIM SCOOTING OVER TO COVER UP FOR HIS GF
In OUAT, although I’m absolutely aboard the good ship Captain Swan, I am forever regretful of Wooden Swan. Because even if it had mellowed into a friendship, which it kinda did, the fact that the writers introduced August and then barely used him when he could have been a friend to Emma properly and challenge her, they just let him fall by the wayside as they did so many a good character.
favourite episode of 1, 4, and 5?
Doctor Who - Tooth and Claw (#theywerefucking) because because it’s just very coupley and it had some great chemistry between tenrose and you just get to see them ultimately relaxed and enjoying time in the TARDIS with actual historical characters and context and the only hint of the larger storyline is at the very, very end with the creation of Torchwood and we just don’t get episodes like that anymore and you’ve got the Doctor being rude and funny and determined and enjoying every second of his date and you’ve got Rose being so excited because Queen Victoria! Sitting there! Like a stamp! and Werewolf! and having a bet on! And my favourite:
The Borgias - the borgias is tricky because I still haven’t seen every episode but its the one where they have to defend the city and they use fake cannons and the fact that it’s true (semi true Idk?) and it was just very well written and paced and then we get this lovely hug at the end
Good Omens - episode 3 is it, where they have the big long history between Crowley and Aziraphale (that takes half an hour I timed it and loved every minute) before the opening credits kick in. I just love that.
how long have you watched 1?
Since 2005 when it restarted so that’s 14 years. Bloody hell.
how did you become interested in 3?
I was at my Grans and she used to get the TV magazine and there was an article about the show and I’ve always been a sucker for fairytales so that was that
favourite actor in 4?
Holliday Granger - she’s brilliant in everything I’ve seen her in
do you prefer 1, 2, or 5?
It very much depends on my mood, or the way the story’s going. I’ve watched Doctor Who for a good chunk of my life but the series or episodes don’t always appeal and so I’d probably say Medici because that’s the one I default to when it’s late or I don’t know what to watch because I always want to watch that.
have you seen more episodes of 1 or 3?
1 - Doctor Who because there’s more episodes and also like I say the range of characters and storylines is vastly appealing
if you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Who survives haha? Probably no-one tbh.
would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?
Nah, not at all. The Borgias would have everyone killed or learn magic and triple their power before Emma or anyone had a chance.
pair two characters from 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely ok couple
Lady Christina de Souza and Captain Jack - she’s a master thief with a double decker bus that flies and he’s an immortal from the 51st century, think of the headlines ;)
