You're a really normal fan about a Roblox game called "Forsaken".......yeah.....totally a really normal and sane fan about that game. But lately, you've noticed something weird about the characters you're playing.

The characters have varying reactions into finding out they're being controlled by something....or someone (you).

NOOB (Noob uses they/them pronouns btw if ya'll forgot!)

Bro has NO clue what's happening right.

It was that one specific round, the usual running away from killers, hiding behind walls hoping that they don't get spotted. It just another round. Or so they though.

During that round, while they're in hiding, they felt some type of.....warmth.

They ignored it at first. Could be just instincts.

But this warmth was....growing? In a way that this warmth was growing stronger, and they feel this type of.....force.

It was controlling their movements, and Noob could hear a faint voice.

Noob is looking around, their mind running places. What is going on? Who is controlling them? And WHY are they doing this???

Noob felt their fear increase. It was already bad that they're getting chased by killers every single round, but when they become aware of this type of, weird force, that's somehow controlling every single of their movement, and hearing a voice that's so far yet so close? Not too mention that Noob didn't even know who you are, no face, no name, nothing. Noob just thought that they lost their mind for good.

What's even worse is that they don't if they can actually trust you. For all they know, you might be some kind of sadistic person that controls people for fun and takes pleasure in seeing people suffer.

That's why Noob tried to stop whatever force this is. Keyword: tried.

No matter how much effort they put into escaping this grasp, like trying to go into an opposite direction or just standing still, it wasn't enough.

Eventually, when the round ends, Noob is just in their designated room, laying on their bed, wondering what in almighty christ just happened.

Their mind kept replaying that incident. Genuinely WHO WAS THAT PERSON? AND WHY WAS THIS PERSON CONTROLLING THEM? WHAT DID THEY EVEN DO TO BE SUBJECTED TO...WHATEVER THIS IS???

Their paranoia is multiplied by 10x. Every new round, their face is noticeably more fearful, they're more jumpy, and they're looking around EVERYWHERE. They look like they're on a brink of a mental breakdown. Usually the other survivors got used to Noob's shakiness, but when the survivors noticed Noob getting jumpscared by literally any sounds, that's where the suspicion comes in (Two Time was the first to notice).

Even if Noob feels dread whenever they feel that same warmth, somewhere deep inside of their mind, it feels..... oddly calming?

Overall, Noob is NOT having a good time. Noob will flat out NOT trust you in the beginning, and probably thinks you're up to no good, so they'll try to avoid you as much as possible (even if they fail everytime). You're gonna have to be REALLY patient with them, Noob being trapped in this time-looping game is already bad enough for them. (Think about this video LMAO)

TWO TIME (also uses they/them!)

Two Time is......perplexed. They don't know how to feel about this.

Before Two Time gained awareness, Two Time noticed Noob being more jittery than usual. So they confronted Noob about their behavior lately, and (tried to) comforted Noob. (I headcanon Two Time to be a pretty observant person, and while Two Time is usually closed off, they interact with Noob the most. Second being Elliot.)

So this situation about some kind of....force....controlling Noob? Hm.

Two Time thinks about that interaction, and doesn't just brush that conversation off. They will keep in mind of that, questioning about this "force", with furrowed eyebrows and a questioning gaze on their face as they walk down the hallway of the cabin they live in with the other survivors. (I also headcanon Two Time to be kind of...an overthinker. A great listener, but I think they would think too much about things. ALSO also feel like they're generally an anxious and paranoid fella, and it's canon that they're a little crazy in the membrane, so uh, they're pretty much unstable.)

And that's where it happened. Right after that interaction with Noob with a new round started, they felt warm. The type of warmth Noob described, a type of force that's controlling them.

Two Time felt their blood ran cold. Oh...wow. Two Time understands Noob's fearfulness now.

Immediately doing everything on their willpower to escape out of this force even just for little. They're LOCKED THE FUCK IN trying to stand like a statue (with the survivors giving Two Time weird looks and YOU, my dear player, being confused by this absurd behavior your character that you're playing as right now is showing).

Unfortunately, Two Time's attempt was futile, as their legs are jerked forward, forcing them to participate in the round. Throughout the round, Two Time's mind is running a marathon, while also making more attempts to get out this..warmth feeling off of them.

When the round ends, they would....keep this as a secret for some reason. We all know that Two Time's an enigmatic person, they want secrets to be kept as secrets. (Even then, their weird behavior earlier might've confirmed Noob's suspicion that there was, INDEED, something is controlling them.)

I feel like bro would just go from "OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK I WASN'T EXPECTING THIS SHIT HOLY SHIT I DON'T LIKE THIS PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE" to "wait.....what if they're some type of god...omg am i the chosen one ?!?! 🤯🤯🤯"

So the more rounds you played, the more they're starting to think that you're.....a type of deity. And they're slowly starting to stop their escape attempts of the "force".

It's canon that Two Time used to be a part of a cult that believes in the concept of respawning, and this belief grew stronger as time went on, so Two Time thinks that they've been blessed by the gods, and while Two Time can't really hear well of what you're saying, YOU might possibly get them out of this hellhole.

So basically, they slowly went from dreading your presence to......seeking your presence.

Doesn't help that they're pretty unstable though. My guy's gonna look STRAIGHT at you the screen with a smile that you don't whether they despise you or they worship you, which scares the LIVING shit out of you, making you exit out of the game QUICKLY.

And when you exit the game, the warmth automatically disappears from Two Time......which Two Time immediately felt disappointed with. They didn't mean to make you scared! They just wanted to know more about you!

Yeah, Two Time's bummed about that, but now, you're on their mind, and their feelings is having a battle of whether they should be weary of you or trust you.

(Will they eventually be obsessed with you and be desperate of your approval making them do anything, and by ANYTHING, they do for you? Maybe......possibly......likely....)

Overall, Two Time won't trust you at first. But overtime, they'll think you're like a deity or something similar, which is where they'll let you do whatever you want with them. (And where their obsession slowly starts.)

CHANCE (canonically uses he/they!)

Chance is.....confused by all of this.

Chance was the third person to notice Noob's weird behavior. Overtime, they also noticed Two Time being...more in La La Land as well.

Chance just shrugs it off. Eh, he just thinks both of them are generally paranoid, and doesn't think too much about it.

HOWEVER, something weird happened to Chance today. When a new round started, they felt something.....odd in their body.

They felt warm, but a type of warmth that is....controlling his movements.

.......Ooooookay. This is weird.......... DEFINITELY weird.

Chance is caught off guard by this, and while some type of force is making him go to who knows what, his mind is jumbled.

Bro is CONFUSED, BEWILDERED, SURPRISED. He's having profound feelings of confusion.

They would be a teeny tiny bit scared at first, because, WOAH, HOLY SHIT, WHAT IS GOING ON????

But eventually, they would become....curious about this force.

Not only do they feel this type of warmth, but they also hear a voice as well......the voice's too muffled. Chance thinks it's probably his luxurious headphones, so he takes them off. The voice's still too muffled, damn. (You definitely noticed Chance taking off their headphones. You immediately go suspicious. Is your mind playing tricks on you or was this just a new animation apart of the new update that the developers forgot to mention?)

I feel like Chance would be the most calm about this. His canon personality type is ENFP, and ENFPs are usually social and open-minded, so I definitely see Chance wanting to know more about you. He doesn't think of you as a scary individual, and yea sure, he may be a little bit on edge, but he feels like you don't seem to be a bad person, which is why Chance becomes interested in you.

Chance would try to communicate with you by looking at the screen and giving you a smirk......which you immediately close your laptop.

Chance feels the warmth disappear, he feels like that one Spongebob meme that has a teardrop, while you on the other hand, feel like you're going insane.

Welp, guess he's gotta find a way to talk to you without making you feel scared.

He wonders if you'll like his pet bunny, Spade.

Overall, the most chill about this situation. He wants to interact with you more.

speaking of spoilers and Oswin ((and simping for that man))!! maybe it was answered before but I can't find it. will there be consequences of having romantic points with more than one RO?

Hello dear! You won't have to worry about consequences per se, though depending on certain actions (such as an attempted confession) it may warrant some additional discussion. Oswin is the main one this can happen with, and depending on choices, there may be an instance of him having doubts or asking if MC is sure that they want him - something of that nature. The ROs are all basically interested in MC - all single and ready-to-mingle sort of thing - but they are all fairly realistic in their expectations even when flirted with and such. Duri expects nothing, and neither does ??? at the start, Zahn and Rune are both in the realm of just hoping something could possibly happen.

I mean, my MC is shy and gentle (with a little lot of playfulness in them) and very into Oswin, they nearly said the L word to him. (we all know why they didn't). and I wasn't very interested in other ROs with this specific MC. (they want them very much in a *platonic physical touch full of cuddles and non-romantic hand-holding and feeding them all honey cakes* kind of way) but then the end of chapter 5 happened, and my MC is blushing and stuttering and 'WHAT. WHY.' for ??? if only because I thought it would be funny. like, I see them not even realising it. like, 'yeah, ??? is hot, so what??' maybe the first time in a while they found someone hot besides Oswin and they're not fully aware themselves? that they might-or might not- get a crush on that asshole, lmao. Oswin is still an end-game for them but I just can't stop myself while thinking about any and all Oswin/??? interactions and parallels. (wait is parallel wven a correct word between those two?? probably not, haha) like, imagine your childhood friend has a crush on you and nearly tells you how they feel after days of going red-faced mess just from you looking and them... and you stop them from saying L-word bc you're insecure and 'not-deserving' (can't wait till my MC can shower him in love and show him how wrong he is) and blah blah (/j, his feelings are very important here). only to see them all a mess again a few days later, but for some tall(er? if I remember right) asshole who very nearly killed them, lmao. yeah, I find this specific pair cery interesting and funny. I'm actually judging my MC soooo hard for their taste, lmao.

I totally feel this, lol. No matter if Oswin is romanced or not, an inclination toward this handsome asshole will make him question everything. It won't be a deal-breaker for him if MC flirts with him and also has feelings for Oswin, but there will be some reactions coded for Oswin based on MC's feelings. So if they are romantic with Oswin but have some sort of moment with another person, it may hurt him a bit or shock him. But Oswin knows that MC isn't beholden to wait for him too. He still respects MC's choices because they don't belong to him. Until they are officially "together" he may feel a bit jealous or a bit hurt by this and you may get some unique dialogue and such. So in that sense, there is a bit of a consequence but it won't be like a huge upset or drama. It will be part of a tough conversation about MC's true feelings.

you know, the something something, input his ch5 talk in here but make it worse bc now, he's actually responsible (in a way) for MC and their well being. so I replayed the game again with the same MC and exact same choices bc I this time, Iwas fully aware both of them will suffer, lmao. (it made ch4 choice of calling out for dads to hold MC extra angsty for me like the first time wasn't enough, haha, bc can you imagine what Oswin celt then? not only unable to protect MC but also give them the comfort they needed? ouch).

YES, that is super impactful. And that negative perception he has of himself tingles and starts to eat at him again. Not MC's fault of course and he knows this, but he knows that he's at a stage of life where he must conquer these things that plague him.

also, also, there's two parts of the story extrememly hard for me. 1) what do you mean I have to choose whom to give the cake to? my MC wants to feed them all! let my MC feed everyone honey cakes pls!!! even the assh--???. (I'm unable to give the cake to anyone but Z. they deserve it so much).

TL;DR: You know when you tell you best friend that you guys are "4Lyferz" and that they'll never be rid of you because they know too much? Yeah, I feel like that this friend of ours means that in the most literal sense. We will literally never be rid of him, and he doesn't like it when we try to do so.

Onto the topic at hand though, this is an oldie but a goodie for me. Like, deadass, this is what started my yandere visual novel rabbit hole. This was before Jack. This was before Ren. This was before Solivan. This was before all of them. THIS was the OG yandere bae, and I was down bad for this man, let me tell you lol.

Looking back, though, I'm not even entir-- well, yeah, I am lol; he's cute aye eff, that's why. I just wasn't aware that there were other questionably attractive yet psycho crazy men to choose from, but now I know better. That's what we call growth, folks. I've grown as a person.

Anyways, I'm making a review of this one, because I just replayed the game, and I'm trying to fill the void in my heart since an update hasn't been put out for this game in ages. Well, playable updates, at least. I'll get more into that during the review portion.

Frankly, I don't feel the need to be spoiler friendly, but I'm going to, because it's my thing, ya know? And it's also just on the off chance that someone is getting into their yandere visual novel era, and they haven't heard about this one yet. Shit, I don't even remember how I found out about this one. I just did one day, and I have been down bad for unstable men ever since. Well, at least on a larger scale lmao.

Anyways, enough yappin'. I'm gonna tell you as much about this oldie but goodie as possible without ruining the game itself. Just as a warning though, it may make you anticipate this game extra hard, and there doesn't appear to be any updates coming any time soon. It's okay, we'll cry together later. Just hit me up.

So boom.

As these games tend to flow, the first thing we see is an unfamiliar place. Ah, yes, how typical. Upon some very brief further inspection, we realized that we were in the middle of the street. Huh...okay, so threatening and ominous graffiti aside, that's-- that's clearly not normal.

Naturally, we start wandering a bit and calling out into the void, and the void does not answer. A little rude but whatever, ya know, because typical. Also like typical, we hear some footsteps, and it's like "Help! Yay!" but then we see this:

As the script tends to go, this guy is an active threat, we bolt, he goes "RAWR!" and does the whole "I'm GoNnA gEt YoUz~!" lunge, and--

SIKE. IT WAS A DREAM. Did I get you? Probably not because, let's be real, we would've woken up in some weirdo's dank ass basement all chained up with a headache or someshit. Anyways, we reassure our existence on Earth and solidify our awakenedness, and here comes our friend -- quite literally and appropriately named Friend -- waltzing into our house and scaring us out of our soul.

Actual friends, this is the OG yandere bae, Friend. Friend, these are the actual friends. Okay, great, we're all acquainted -- let's move on.

Friend, like the homie he beez, basically came over to offer us a ride to work and buy us a little wake me up as a bonus. Obviously, we couldn't say no to that, so we get ourselves together, get our wack ass uniform on, and get into his car...

...with the ... totally not sketchy license plate on it.

Now admittedly, Friend gets a little...handsy during the drive, but highkey? The boy is, and has always been, touchstarved. Like, he's that touchy-feely, always wants to hug, always wants to cuddle and hold hands, and ish friend, so it's like meh, whatever. It'd be more strange if he wasn't like this, ya feel me? At least, he always does the consent checks, which is always appreciated.

We get to the coffee shop, we drink our drinks, he gets all flirty, we lowkey tell him "Down boy", and then we realized that we effed up big time, because we are late as shit. But no worries! Friend being the...well friend, that he is, he's like. "Bro, I have a solution."

"Bro, no way. Tell me, bro."

"You can't be late if you just...don't go."

"...Really? That's your solution?"

"...yes."

I mean, Big Bang said it best -- 에라 모르겠다. In other words FUCK IT. LET'S DO IT.

So now, Friend is HYPE because we ditched work to hang out with him. He takes us home with a quickness, we get all cute, because we're about to hit up the mall, and--

--this man is CLEARLY thirstin'...but we don't notice for plot purposes.

ANYWAYS. We make it to the mall, and we absolutely had to hit up Scorching Subjects which is totally not Hot Topic and is in no way related to it. While we're in there though, one of the workers gets a little too friendly, at least by Friend's standards, and he gets really snippy with the guy.

This causes a weird thing between them, and the weird thing between them causes a weird thing between us, and it makes the whole outing weird because it's like "Dude, you don't have to be so jealous", and he's like "I would never be jealous of someone like him", and it's like "Ayo, 'someone like him'? That's giving 'you people'" and he's like "Well, go talk to your new best friend since y'all are so close. You're welcome for trying to protect you", and it's-- it's an entire thing now.

Of course, we couldn't let that go, though, so we debrief with him in the car, and we thought briefly about apologizing for how we went about it, but it was like for why, ya know? Friend was clearly out of line, protective big brother type ish or not. So what do we do? We let him have it. We tell him off for acting the way he did at the mall, and we're like "Dude, you're honestly so overbearing sometimes, and it's frickin' creepy."

"You...think I'm overbearing?"

"Lol you think I'm creepy?!"

*Siiiiiigh* All right, truth time.

Maybe, just maybe, we should have let it go and apologized.

Like I said in the beginning, this game has been out forever now, so those of you that know about it understand my heartbreak. Also like I said, this was OG yandere bae, so this was like going on a date that you thought went really well and then never hearing from them again afterwards.

Bro, the fact that this game has been in the beginning stage for going on TWO YEARS WITH ZERO UPDATES. Like, this man literally ghosted me. Like, I went on the OG game page, and you know what I saw? Do you know what I saw?

Bitch (affectionately, of course) that says published on 11 August 2022, and it got an update, which I'm pretty sure was for translations, bug fixes, appearance, or whatever, on 26 November 2023. WE ARE IN THE YEAR 2025 NOW, AND I AM IN TEARS. HOW COULD THE DEV--

Actually, that was somewhat of a lie. While there hasn't been any playable updates, the dev DID start working on revamping the game like mid last year, but unfortunately no playable updates or downloads for the actual game.

Aside from all the sad though, I'm still really excited for if and whenever this game finally drops. I just really want to know the aftermath of choosing fighting words with Friend, and Friend is lowkey kinda fine, especially since he's extra pretty now. Like, have you seen the revamped version of him? Let me show you~!

Like, sheeeeeeeesh. That boy looks crisp now.

Actually, now that I'm looking at the revamped him...he lowkey looks like he showers now lol. I didn't realized that he looked kinda dirty and sleep deprived until now lmao. Like, he didn't look like he smelled bad, but just that he may have been rocking the whole "I've worn these clothes 3 different times this week and have only showered once for like 5 minutes since last week".

Anways, I'm supposed to be reviewing the game lol, and I was yappin' about other stuff. As I was saying, I am still excited about the possible development of this game. It has a good build up of drama so far, there's a NSFW scene -- which is always a plus --, and I love the sneak peak of the yandere that is doomed to come out. I honestly think it's funny and lowkey cute that Friend's name is just...Friend. Like, something about that is just so fitting. The art is pretty solid stuff, and, as you can see, the dev's art style has definitely improved, so you can only image how the rest of the game will look.

That's pretty much all I have to say about this one. Like I said, oldie but goodie, but definitely play at your own risk, because, like I've mentioned, a playable update hasn't been a thing for about 2 years now, and I don't want you to get attached and start feenin' and foamin' at the mouth and ish. If you want to give the dev that possible motivation/inspiration and that reassurance to continue or not give up or whatever, here's both the OG link and the new link so you can tell them, "Howdy! My personal rankings of every levels (including bosses) in Antonblast, an indie game I finished about a week ago, and my personal favorite game of the year.

I know some takes here aren't gonna be very loved buuut I don't really give a fuck! Cuz it's my opinions, if you wanna fight me about 'em, comments are here, but you probably won't cuz let's be honest who's gonna see this post? Anyways just in case you can't read the level's name here they are with a ranking out of 10:

Meh...:

Vs. TallBuster. (5/10 very mediocre boss fight, not bad but not good either.)

Good:

Crimson Factory. (7/10, I often forget this one exists, loved the HAPPY HOUR and music for this one, but everything else was meh)

The Mysterious Glass House. (7.5/10 this would be an easy Great! Tier if it wasn't so damn long, the level is just really annoying to get through, the platforming though, absolute S tier some of the best in the game.)

Great!:

Boiler City. (very sorry for the shitty take lmao, I still love this level though the music is absolutly FANTASTIC, and the HAPPY HOUR with the BossBusters chasing you for half of it destroying the city was such an amazing introduction to the HAPPY HOUR concepte, 8/10)

The Big Beth. (The horror level, I love this one because instead of having something chasing you it's just very eerie and lonely, strikes the perfect balance between not taking itself seriously and uneasy, such a fun level with an amazing HAPPY HOUR, that fake out got my heart racing, 8/10)

Vs. BrawlBuster. (8/10 very fun to replay because of how traditional it is, it could be a Rayman Legend boss fight actually, I'd see it!)

Vs. The Jewel Ghoul. (8/10 if BrawlBuster is a Rayman Legend boss fight, this one is a Rayman 1 boss fight I love everything about this boss, the music is absolutly banging, the attacks are tricky but not unfair, and that last part where you just shoot Jewel Ghoul for no fucking reasons, so much personality in that fight, loved it.)

Hell's Manor (my biggest hot take, If I was ranking these based on first impression it would be S tier, but alas 100%'ing this level made me love it a lot less, 8/10)

Slowroast Sewers (8.5/10... Genuinely don't know why it's so high... It's just really fun I guess, with one of the best osts in the game, and one of the best HAPPY HOURs in the game, solid level.)

Vs. MaulBuster (8.5/10, the concepte of her not actually wanting to fight you, but just do a play, while you ruin everything and she gets angry is just so funny to me, not as replayable as the rest but very fun anyways and got a good laugh out of me.)

Vs. Freako Dragon (8.5/10 THAT'S IT, YOU'RE GOING TO BRAZIL.)

Vs. SmallBuster (8.5/10 Such an original boss fight, it's more of a show than a fight because it's by far the easiest part of the game to me, but my god everything about this fight is funny, and Small's design is adorable too, by far my favorite of the Busters in terms of design, personality, and fight, I would still give best gameplay to Brawl but eh whatever bias.)

Bomb Candy Mines (8.5/10 just fun, fun gimmick with the bomb transformation, one of my favorites in the game, fun escape sequence with acid coming out of the walls you gotta out run, fun music for both parts of the level, fun everything, me love this one way too much.)

The Mad Mall (yes, this level isn't that hard you just have to get good I 100%'ed it on my 2nd playthrough of it, 9/10)

S tier:

Cinnamon Springs. (9/10 just like Bomb Candy Mines, fun everything, excepte even more fun, with a bigger focus on platforming and spectacle like when you destroy a fucking temple cuz you just wanna be a Dick, or when you ruin Greg's vacation, this felt like a Crash Bandicoot level almost, so that can only mean I'll love it lmao.)

Vs. Satan (9.5/10 GOODNESS. One of the best finale I have ever had the honor to play, my 2nd favorite music in the game for sure, Satan's personality is incredible and so is it's Amazing voice acting, all phases were challenging but not unfair at all and very fun and creative, not to mention you feel like an absolute monster for most of the fight, yeah, banger.)

Devilled Garden (9.5/10 best music in the game, idle hands down, and the level delivers as well, helping a demon rebel agaisn't Satan, not cuz he wants to overtake hell or is sick of it, but because he wants to fucking throw a party is hilarious, everything he asks you to do is fun (the clock part may be a bit slow but I still enjoyed it) and the escape sequence gives you such a fucking boost of ego with the mech suit out of nowhere, absolute masterpiece of a level.)

Vs. Ring a Ding (10/10, best boss just for the sheer surprise of the third phase, what can I say it's a monkey brain reaction: me see biblicaly accurate angel, me happy, the music on the last phase is absolutly incredible that solo makes you feel things in places you didn't even know you could feel, and then you just pull a Mario and Luigi move by just countering the Moon of all things, yeah one of the best boss fights I'v played personaly.)

Pinball Mire (10/10 the music... THE MUSIC, the 2nd half of the level has the third best song in the game, my god and the pinball mechanic? I usually am not a fan of Pinball in general especially in a level that stops you and forces you to play Pinball that's just boring, you could make the argument that this one does the same but the Pinball Gimmick is also used in platforming to do a Spindash like in classic Sonic, and thé Pinball sections are very very fun and quick if you know what you're doing, even on my first playthrough I didn't spend more than 4 minutes on any (excepte the one before HAPPY HOUR, it's a bit long but not the end of the world, all and all, a magnificent level.)

Concrete Jungle (10/10 AAAAAAHAAAAAAAHAAA, This... This... This Is everything, EVERYTHING I WANT IN A PLATEFORMER, fun, gimmicks are way too well fused together and never feel overwhelming when stacked on each others, the musics, all three of them, are bangers, with the third one being oddly nostalgic, actually the whole level has a nostalgic vibe to it, probably cuz I grew up in a city that actually really resembles this level so there's an strange feeling of comfort when I play it, it's strange, also you get to light the whole city on fire so 10/10 LMAOOOO, but yeah one of the best levels I have ever played in a platformer, masterpiece isn't good enough of a word to describe it, also these monke are some of my favorite charachters in the entire game, like third favorite charachter, they're cute and just have a cool Vibe)

If I'm not posting much for the rest of the month, it's because I got back into GW2 after uh... 9-ish years. So I'm likely gonna put in a lot of hours for a while before I can find a nice pace to start going through the story. I stopped playing right before the first expansion came out, so there's a whole lot to experience! Very curious to witness their storytelling improving along the way as well. I still remember surprisingly much about the whole lore of the setting, and all the old old memories from the first game are coming back to me as i replay the older maps and all. the gw2 novels might just be the last books i read as well :'D that's how much i was into the lore back then. Mostly because you know... dragons. I found the story of the base game alright, it had its moments but at the same time it wasn't exactly something i'd go out of my way to praise to people. the living world season 1&2 I did not really enjoy, I found it tedious, the story felt mismatched(also did not enjoy scarlet as a villain at all lmao) and the maps were not fun to play at the time, which made it easy to move onto other games. But i've heard they've naturally improved their storytelling since then and that stuff has gotten better in general. I am absolutely loving the mount system even though i only have my raptor so far. they feel s o g o o d to drive. I've of course not been avoiding story spoilers since I had very little interest of getting back to it before, so I know the general twists and turns of most of the expansions, but i've also not paid much attention to any details so I don't feel too bad about that.

How would you rank the gens?

Ope I feel like I'm gonna upset some people LOL so disclaimer remember these are just my takes.

But this is how I personally see them (counting remakes as being part of the gen they remaking):

Gen 9 - Paldea Region

I've been thinking about this since the games came out, so I'd like to say recency bias isn't as much of a factor here. Bugs aside, I genuinely, genuinely love the storytelling, characterizations, and open world approach. FRIENDS THAT FEEL LIKE ACTUAL FRIENDS?? HAVING THE LEGENDARY WITH YOU THE WHOLE TIME, AND IT TOO HAS A PERSONALITY & BACKSTORY??? THREE SEPERATE STORYLINES THAT CONNECT TO A CANONICALLY DEAD PROFESSOR AND AN "EVIL AI" FINAL BOSS??? Like omg. I was amazed. I honestly usually dislike the "gimmicks" each generation brings, but terastilization caught my interest and I have a strong feeling nothing will personally top it as a gimmick for me. The DLCs really sent it all home for me for the #1 spot, like oh my god LOL. Past DLCs always just felt like something extra, but I literally cannot see this game as being complete without Kieran, Carmine & the rest of Kitakami/Blueberry peeps & their storylines. My interest in the games only grew because of all of it - and that's a massive compliment given the fact of how hard it is to accomplish such a level of monumental significance with only a few hours of gameplay. I've yet to replay the game with earlier access to The Teal Mask, but I feel like this would make it even more immersive. Just pure chef kisses here.

Gen 2 - Johto Region

A very close second. Heartgold/Soulsilver is the most elite remake in existence and idc if it's old school, I'll die on this hill. Johto is just so full of life - the continuation story is amazing, the immersion into culture and legendary stuff??? Mwah. Silver is an excellent rival, RED being a thing (the ultimate level of iconicism), and the double region will always hit. The soundtracks HIT and my god hearing them remastered iS INCREDIBLE. I even get obsessed with the pokeathlon dome and I'm usually not someone who gets into that kind of stuff. But THEY MADE IT FUN. And I love all the cute activities you can do with your team that can follow you around. So glad they brought this feature back. :')

Gen 5 - Unova Region

Oooooh I loved the reset of Gen 5. It's based on where I'm from and there were so many refreshing aspects of Black & White. From the new pokemon, to the NYC culture, to N & the whole beautiful storytelling there, and a sequel that somehow made everything even MORE polished. I literally remember referring to this region as the "Isshu Region" before the English names dropped becuase of the hype LOL. 10/10, cannot wait for these remakes. Gamefreak don't mess this up.

Gen 4 - Sinnoh Region

Oh, Gen 4. You hit good. The lowkey dreary vibes of Sinnoh is very nostalgic to me, and Piplup is one of my best buddies. Cynthia being the very first female Champion, and being as fearsome as she is, was such a big deal to me. Definetely Barbie'd her a bit in my mind because I look a like her and loved how much of an academic she was (but I def do not have her length in hair, lmao). Soundtracks are fire, of course. The way legendaries were integrated in the story without going too Dragonball Z was IMMACULATE, and the lake trio will always be my fave lil buddies. The only con I'd give this gen is that I disliked the HM reliance & D/P are practically unplayable to me since Platinum exists. I had low bars for the remake once I heard it wasn't Platinum, and ugh, they really dropped the ball. HOWEVER: while it isn't main line, I fucking love Legends: Arceus and would rather have that over an excellent remake, tbh.

Gen 1 - Kanto Region

This is another nostalgia one for me because of the fact that I quite literally was introduced to pokemon since before I can recall most memories (this is what happens when you have an older sibling with a gameboy, lol). It's probably tied with Gen 4, tbh. Firered wasn't my first game, but it hit really good because I "played" so much of R/B/Y. I know Gen 1 has its faults, and it's often seen as being pretty bare bones in comparison to other generations. And while I completely agree, god damn, what a good foundation for a franchise. Every town had a personality to it and is very memorable to me. The soundtracks are FIRE. Smaller pokedex, but damn does team building hit (and the starters are elite). Blue was also consistently my favorite rival until Kieran, lol. #oldrivalshipping/conflictingshipping was the original OTP xD

Gen 7 - Alola Region

So there's a lot of things I liked about Gen 7. It took a really big risk by breaking the formula, and it really immersed me into the Hawaiian culture & seeing your pokemon more as friends. I loved looking at pokemon in a different way and some of the pokemon introduced in this region are among my favorites (e.g. Ribombee, Bewear, Shiinotic, Mimikyu, Rockaruff, to name a few; starters also HIT). NEBBY AND LILLIE ARE ELITE. The professor is so lit, and Team Skull is the funniest team organization alive. AND YES, GET RID OF THE HMS. I honestly think a remake would make this gen jump up a bit more for me - the 3DS could barely handle this game, and it was showing. The facial expressions also need some work LOL, and I honestly dread the tutorial of the game. I like the ultrabeasts conceptually, but the execution of their involvement in the game is very DragonBall Z-ified. Ultra Necrozma lowkey would've been an amazing time for a "light" type even if it didn't make much sense, but hey, it was an awesome nuzlocke-killing moment anyway. xD

Gen 8 - Galar Region

I actually have a lot of play time for this gen. I was very obsessed with it when it came out, and could probably get glued to it all the same nowadays. But in hindsight, I realize a lot of my attachment to it was because of the semi-open worldness & ability to create a lot of different kinds of teams with a lot of new and old pokemon I like (I also liked having access to things earlier, like Ice Types before the end of the game lmfao). I still have a few things I really enjoy outside of it, though, like Hop's storyline & the setup of the gyms being in this stadium, sports-esque setting. But the plot? Eh. I have a lot of constructive criticism on how some shortcuts were made, and especially with the whole darkest day stuff lol. The only thing I liked about that fight was the dogs coming in and being cool; I wasn't impressed by or interest in Eternatus at all. The Leon fight afterward was fun, though! But oof, those weird men with the sword and shield hair afterwards were also just...no. :D DLCs also didn't quite hit that hard - it was more about having more pokemon than anything for me. So overall, it's fun to play, but I'd definitely change up the plot to make it better.

Gen 3 - Hoenn Region

This is where I think some people might wanna fight me, and to that I say you're probably valid. I don't know what it is with the Hoenn region because I actually don't have too many critiques about it (e.g., let's have less water routes); I just have never been able to get into it quite the same as I can others. I should honestly give it another shot, but I think I'd wanna do Emerald over Omega Ruby/Sapphire given the route they took everything with the remake lol. That's about all I have to say on this one since I never really connected with it as much!

Gen 6 - Kalos Region

This one feels like an especially hot take to have atm given where the pokemon community is in general LOL. Critical opinions ahead......Listen...no offense, but Gen 6 just ain't it for me at all. xD It's probably the one gen I actively dislike. The games felt way too easy with too much hand-holding/handouts, Team Flare & Diantha were a joke (and I'm not even a competitive player), and the whole group of friends felt more like an annoyance to me more than anything. They just weren't flushed out right. Neither was the plot. Like what was that plot. Outside of that, a lot of things just felt like "Look! Pokemon is in 3D now!!" over and over again because of how rushed the game was. So other than introducing fairy types & having pretty protagonists with some new clothing options, this gen is pretty forgettable to me. And that's a shame, because I like pokemon! I was one of those people who were curious on if we were gonna connect to Kalos for Gen 9, but I'd geniunely pick the DLCs we got any day of the week. I don't think Legends ZA will change much of my opinion on the mainline game, but given how much I loved Legends Arceus, I'm hoping it can be used to retcon & generate more interest/connection to the Kalos region in general.

AGHHHHHHH i was about to go to sleep but healty schedules are overrated. Take a sit cuz this is gonna be LONG bc i dont know how to get to the point (jump right to the end to get the 3 lines resume lmao)

if you ask me why i like right now: he's a dramatic loser. But that was when i finally understood his character! you wouldn't be surprised if tell you that i'm an idiot right? i'm super slow to read between lines and understand people, that applies to fictional characters too lmao (+add that english isn't my first language) So! at first i didn't actually understood what was going on with -well- anything :D.

Took me a few playthroughs to actually understand the game in general, i started to play before step 4 was out so all i could do was play and replay different ways to fall in love with Cove (starting to crush at step3 was my fav) but tbh he was never my *type*, Derek was interesting but just bc he like us by default. Even after playing his dlc i felt like he was just a really good friend (which was kinda weird bc to this point i've just played his romantic route). So, what's different with Baxter?

To begin with! he's... he's....... huhh my first impression wasn't actually strong tbh, i was like "huh new guy to date yay". I didn't actually understood his character the first few playthroughs ngl. I started in fond ofc to get into the dlc but *I* was pretty indifferent, probably in Drinks where we finally see Morning Baxter was that i said "oh shit he's cute" and cuteness+gapmoe is enough to make me fall for any character tbh.

But! that was not enough to provoke a brainrot like this right? i'm the "Oh i love this *forgets about in a week*" type. What sealed the deal (badum tss) was probably bc of the fandom? Once i was done replaying the dlc 5 times in a row i went straight to tumblr to feed of headcanons, fanarts and fanfics. My favorite way to understand a character is thru the fandom tbh, my favs are the long aa essays talking about a character personality.

Long story short, he was dramatic troubled flirty gap-moe guy (my fictional type, coincidentally) with an excellent storyline. I still wasn't 100% into him but he was top1 romatic choice for me (sorry Cove and Derek, love ya but platonically), so i made 2 fanarts for his dlc in may and let the hype die... only for 6 months otherwise we wouldn't be here, would we?

AH-HA-HEM the day 28th of november, beginnings of summer, i went out in the morning to do some errands with my mom, we stopped to buy vegetables in our way home and she bought a small watermelon bc i love them. That same afternoon i was eating it and thought "watermelons are finally here, summer it's officially here!" and got struck with Olba memories like a sleeper agent. (made a minicomic abt that, that's why i have the exact date lol) SO i replayed the game again, reading everything again, and oh boy i finally understood so many things, one of those things was Baxter himself!

A lot of stuff made sense once i actually took the time to comprehend his character with the information i gained out of the game (mainly all the asks ppl sent to gb). Add the way that i always played like *me* on my first playthroughs of anything and then you'll notice why he hit me so hard, it felt like i wasn't giving him enough credit before dasjkfas.

Tbh his dlc is my fav bc it has such a strong storyline, you get to know him and his insecurities thru all step 3, and have a lot of sweet moments too! (and that night goodbye?? omg it hits me so hard bc it's right after the ending song) and because step 4 it's right after you go with all the fresh memories of your summer together and seeing him so cold towards you it's so painful but also so funny because HA I CAN SEE THRU YOUR FACADE YOU STILL LIKE ME HAHAHA and i finally knew the perfect word for him: loser.

Anyways i also did a deep dive in the Olba and Baxter Ward tag here in tumblr and eat pretty much everything, also helped me to get a better grasp for all the little details i didn't noticed before bc haha i told you im an idiot?

sO yeah i made a few drawings of my Mc interacting with the characters, surprisingly it got a lot of attention from the fandom so i made a few more and when i noticed i was deep into the brainrot and i wasn't able to draw anything besides my Ruri and Baxter being cute lmao

Funfact. Ruri is a variation of Rui (duh) that i used in games when i didn't feel like i wanted to be called my name directly, now that she expropriated me of that name i use Ruru, i'm so creative right?

One of the easier lvl 25 charts, i feel like it was supposed to be a middle point between 24 and 25 regarding difficulty

It took very few attempts to fc compared to the others, plus it is a bit short like sega you cut out the best part cmonnnn :c

At least we got the trans anthem in proseka so yes b(._.)b

3. Ego rock-8/10

Really liked the chart, it feels just right in difficulty as a solid 25 song

Tbh Len's high pitched voice can get annoying pretty soon but that's not the game's problem, after all the sekai ver. exists as well (not that im gonna listen to it but whatever)

Overall i think i like the chart a lot, will definitely replay it once in a while

4. Showtime ruler-8.5/10

GAWD DAUM THIS WAS HARD TO FC. Idk if its my problem or not but this chart really leans into easier lvl 26 territory

The notes feel pretty crammed together sometimes, personally i kinda like it cuz i love fast paced charts but it felt a bit like they were trying to put as many notes as they could in some places, while others were a bit empty

But overall i liked it, even tho it took the most attempts to fc out of all of the above

P.S. this is just my opinion. Everyone has their own views and requirements for labelling a chart as "good" or "bad", and everyone's opinion is valid.

Okay enough talk about critrole let's talk about games!!

I'm not really A Gamer (played some horse pc games as a kid, mass effect in my late teens, then nothing for like 10 years before picking up portal and suddenly I was Hooked) but I wanna talk about what I've played over the last couple of years! Because I'm me and I love a good list, let’s rank them (under readmore bc this got long):

1. Portal (1 & 2 plus various mods): enjoyed the first but didn't see why it was considered Extremely Good, went absolutely unhinged about the second, I love it so very much, excellent balance of gameplay, story and character, also thank god there are scifi games with little to no combat. 10/10

2. Prey: finished this one just the other day and immediately started a second playthrough. Had a bit of a rough start for me and I nearly dropped it due to being super confused, but once I got past the first hour or so I was fully hooked. FANTASTIC story and worldbuilding, so much detail, good balance of player choice without losing focus of the core story. I have some minor criticisms but overall I adored it. 9/10

3. Control: picked up this one bc of this video on haunted houses in games. The lore and setting is absolutely wild and SO creative, the characters are fun, and though I found it too combat focused I still enjoyed the mechanics once i got used to them. I did however feel it would've been helped by being more tightly written and less open world; all those unimportant fetch quests and randomly spawned enemies showing up every time I entered a room sometimes made it feel like the main plot got a bit lost. 7.5/10.

4. Mass Effect Andromeda: nowhere near as good as the original trilogy, but also nowhere near as bad as general opinion makes it look. Frankly, the first of the trilogy was also pretty weak compared to 2 & 3, and if Andromeda had been allowed its sequels it may very well have risen to the same status. Cool story, fun characters, way too many fetch quests. 7/10.

5. Lightmatter: this one was fun, but there wasn't super much to it. Reminded me of the first portal game in that it has a pretty straightforward puzzle-focused plot with cool designs but pretty minimal character or worldbuilding work. Good for a quick playthrough but doesn't hold much re-playability (I recommend it if you yearn for mad science, spooky abandoned facilities and portal vibes though). 7/10.

6. Half-Life (1 & 2 plus episode 1 & 2): these should probably be ranked higher based on sheer quality, but my very subjective opinion is that they are very combat focused and I don’t care for combat. 2 especially felt like it was interludes of story meant only to point you to your next fight. Will probably never replay them. The overall plot and characters are really cool though (Alyx my beloved), and I hope to see the series reach a conclusion some day (would also work really well as a movie or show I think). The fact that it got me invested despite being a shooter (and the very dated visuals of the first) speaks for the fact that it is probably a lot better than I give it credit for. 6.5/10.

7. Alan Wake and Alan Wake's American Nightmare: gonna be real with you, I didn't enjoy these. Clichéd and unlikable main character, repetitive gameplay, clunky combat, and it has no idea how to write interesting women (American Nightmare especially, yikes (cool villain though)). There are however interesting story aspects, and since it’s tied to the universe of Control and the internet seems pretty agreed that the sequel is Much Better, I may still finish the series at some point. 4/10.

Halo: didn't like. Stop making me play as Big Muscle Man who Shoots Stuff. I'm sure there’s interesting lore but not enough to make me even slightly tempted to play more of it. 1/10.

Dead Space: really liked this one but also I'm a baby and it scared me lmao. I've got it on my wishlist so I can eventually buy it and finish playing because I'm Invested. 7/10 (likely to change once I've finished playing)

Alien Isolation: it was okay I guess? I feel like I can't give a fair judgment of it without playing the whole thing, but also it didn't hook me enough that I want to buy it and play more. 5/10.

Scorn: absolutely horrific but also really cool. Needed more story to work for me personally but also story clearly wasn't the point of the game. Will never forget it, will also never touch it again. ???/10.

hahaha yeah i wouldn't say there's a "canon" ending. for one, i feel like that would kinda defeat the point of having different possibilities to begin with. why make other choices if there's only ever one canon ending? i want people to be able to choose however they want the story to end. i mostly connected the neutral ending to OC as a sort of self-indulgent gift to myself, because i thought it would be very sweet if iggy would still have a chance to find companionship with one of his friends later on even if he chose to focus on himself first. like that it just keeps it open. i also just thought it'd be a fun easter egg to give ppl more incentive to at least try the neutral route as i figure most ppl would not choose that route as it's kinda short compared to the others and doesn't give as much closure to the other chars

1.) i have a big phobia of lakes or just dirty water in general, and submechanophobia, i can't stand looking at like cars submerged in water. i don't seem to have the same fear of the ocean, for example i would never swim in a lake and i'd probs have a panic attack if i fell in one, but i went to the beach for the first time in my life a couple years ago and i got in the ocean just fine. i didn't go very far out bc i was afraid i'd get pulled in, im very small you see and i can't really swim, but i enjoyed it and my friend got seaweed for me to touch ajdjf. despite not being afraid of seawater i do Not like boats and wouldn't get on one on the sea or in a lake. i'd probs feel Better about being on a boat in the sea but the feeling of being in a boat in general feels Wrong to me, like my primal monkey brain is like "humans shouldn't be able to float above water like this".

2.) i have very repetitive stress dreams every night of my life, i don't think i've ever had a Good dream before and im not joking. usually the mundane stuff like being back in high school and not knowing where my classes are or my locker combination etc (which is wild bc that's never something i actually needed to worry about in high school, like i never once forgot things like that). also losing my phone or having it stolen seems to be a theme lately as well. HOWEVER when a dream isn't mundane, i manage to have REALLY weird dreams. the first nightmare i ever remember having was when i was like three years old and i dreamed a tree was chasing me. like a legit tree. i never saw it walk, it would just move when i wasn't looking and would be closer when i looked back. i ran home and still have the vivid memory of slamming my front door and looking behind me to the window where the tree was "looking" inside at me. it didn't have eyes or anything im just assuming it must have been looking at me lmao. anyway i was Terrified of this tree but hindsight that's literally so funny. a tree. also had a dream where my trash bag climbed into bed with me. and one where it was "emu hunting season" in my neighborhood and everyone was hunting emus. i probs don't have to clarify that there aren't emus anywhere near my midwestern city.

2.5.) interesting combination of the first two facts, which is why this is a bonus fact™️. i realized a recurring aspect of my dreams is something highly specific to me and not normal. i didn't realize this from conversations with people or anything i just suddenly was like "oh that's actually very weird and specific to my particular phobias". the aspect in question being that in multiple dreams over several years there's been partially submerged roller coasters in my dreams. like the roller coaster is like 1/4 submerged in a dirty lake and i either just see it and am like "eugh" or i'm actually forced to ride it and have to deal with the horror of both the anticipation of the dirty water part plus the actual contact with the dirty water. i'm not afraid of roller coasters or anything i guess my brain just found a way to tap into my submechanophobia. very weird brain thing that sounds very stupid and it is ajdjr

3.) on a lighter note, i have five genshin impact accounts, although i don't use two of them anymore. i have my main account, an anemo only account, and a new gimmick account that is a secret. my other accounts were just a replay account to experience exploration again, and one that i was gonna call carrot run where i only used xingqiu. i might still end up playing on that one again eventually given that i have xingxiu and sac sword on that account already in very early game with was lucky 4 me.

somehow its almost been two weeks since I've drawn anything as I've been:

a. tired b. spending the last week non-stop shiny hunting riolu to no avail

and I've been telling myself I'll draw something once I finish this shiny hunt. Except, I don't think this shiny hunt is ever gonna end and I wanna share some stats that explain why:

2,280 Riolu encounters so far, zero shinies. Given the 1/1024 odds (due to my dex research level), there was only a 10.7% chance of this happening.

In the mean time, I've encountered somewhere around 5,000 machokes, and somehow found five shinies. Given the 1/2048 odds, that's only a 10.1% chance.

But it gets even worse somehow. If finding five shiny machokes but no riolus wasn't insult enough, one of them was a shiny alpha machoke (which given the 1/2048 odds of a shiny in this instance, and the 1/50* of an alpha, is a 1/102,400 chance) *the odds of an alpha apparently vary between 1/50 and 1/500. 1/50 does seem about right though, plus this means my math is either correct, or an underestimate.

I don't how the hell I hit a 1/102,400 chance but not a 1/1,024 one (literally two orders of magnitude more likely), but I'm convinced I'm cursed.

Also I know I could get the odds of a shiny riolu down to only 1/141 by abusing mass outbreaks, but for some reason I wanted to "earn" it by doing it the hard way. And I'm way too invested to turn back now. Aka I'm stupid and stubborn lmao

One last kicker: Because I'm stupid, I decided to catch and keep every single riolu. And I'm way too comitted to this bit to stop (plus its the reason I have the exact encounter figure for riolus)

Since I refuse to pay a subscription for Pokemon Home, I've had to create two more users on my switch, replayed the opening of PLA twice more, and have almost filled all 29 pastures on both accounts (turns out you only get all 32 after beating the game). I'll likely be creating a third extra account and replaying the opening of PLA once more in a few hours lol

the unused box space on some of the accounts is taken up by lucarios (which for some reason I started catching all of about half way through) and pokemon that would take way too much effort to obtain again. That doesn't include the 1/102,400 shiny alpha machoke. I killed it out of spite c:

Heres the thing I'm an Amelia defender shes giving off mega. MC from season 5 and you had to be there for all that bullshit and just how toxic that shit was in season 5. Im not even touching on the character writing.

Amelia is feeling a lot like that MC. She really wants to find love. She doesn't want to step on or shake up her fragile relationship with her sister.

This season MC embodies the fuck around and find out. You can string people along, kiss who ever you want. Because it early days and you are PLAYING GAMES. Who ever you pick she picks the opposite because that mean you aren't serious about them. You can't be mad when you put a toy down your sister comes and picks it up. That's what the girls picking was meant to be, you are forced to choose at the recoupling to be serious about someone. An it's not Amelia fault that (in my route) Roberto kissed her while grafting hard on MC. You are playing games and it means he was playing them too.

I was berifly upset with her for kissing Ryan went back and replayed the ep. An picked Ryan cause clearly I was feeling some type of way about him. But she always chooses the other guy to have had kissed. An I was less upset about the Roberto because I wasn't serious with him in the first place.

It's clear no matter who you pick your love interest lack trust that your head weren't be turned. An the thing is because it the hoe season they aren't wrong. I don't think I've seen a single person stick by their first choice. Including me! Lmao. (it's all that ptsd from season 5)

Here's the kicker I don't think who ever your sister ends up with is going to stop trying to graft. Because I think they still want MC but I could be wrong. An the same thing with the Zeph situations. It was a long time ago and it clear zeph ran away whatever his relationship with your sister was. He bitched out and all you have left is your family.

If Zeph does show up I have this feeling he's gonna say. I was dating your sister but I fucked up and I really wanted to be with you. Or shit maybe he was really into your sister and hated the fact that he never told MC the truth. Just from the different way you could understand Ozzy words.
