okay, you want my personal angstiest Jack Frost headcanon? i don't think Lucy's hugs are magical at all. i think that poor Jack had been so deprived of genuine affection, warmth or show of love that any meaningful hug would've done the trick - and Scott knew that his sweet, kind niece would be able to give that. that she would be able to forgive Jack in spite of his freezing her parents. therein lies Lucy's real magic. Lucy's hugs aren't her magical power. her kindness is. 🥺💖
