❧ Synopsis: Horror wasn’t really your thing but you couldn’t say no when all of your friends insisted on going to this haunted house. Especially when Yunho seemed excited to go. Your crush on the male was really starting to get you into trouble.

“Why did I agree to this?” you grumbled to yourself

You stared up at the haunted house in front of you, the creepy exterior and odd noises coming from inside not easing your mind in the slightest. To say you were nervous was a bit of an understatement. You were terrified. Horror wasn’t really your thing but you couldn’t say no when all of your friends insisted on going to this haunted house. Especially when Yunho seemed excited to go. Your crush on the male was really starting to get you into trouble. 

And of course, you were going into the haunted house with Yunho thanks to all of your friends pairing up immediately leaving you and Yunho without a buddy to go inside with. You knew you couldn’t go in alone so you accepted your fate of going into the haunted house with your crush. 

“Come on, Y/N. It’s our turn to go in,” Yunho started walking towards the entrance of the house

You jogged a bit to catch up with Yunho. You definitely didn’t want to be by yourself in this place. The whole house creaked as you entered. The place was almost completely dark, the early evening sky peeking through some of the broken wood walls and cracked windows. You hated this. You wanted to just run out of there and never return but you didn’t want to look like a fool in front of Yunho. You just bit down on your tongue.

Yunho pulled out a flashlight and turned it on so it wasn’t as dark. You breathed a quiet sigh of relief at the light illuminating the darkness. You stayed close to Yunho as you walked though the house. The wind danced over your skin making you shiver. 

“Are you shaking?” Yunho asked, a small smile playing on his lips

“No, the wind just made me cold,” you huffed

You involuntarily puffed out your chest acting as if you weren’t scared at all. Yunho could easily see that you were scared but he wasn’t going to say anything and continued to watch you act brave. 

You walked down a hallway lined with doors. Some of the doors were locked while some were open a jar. The wind started up again making one of the doors move, the creaking sound coming from the hinges. The sudden loud noise made you squeak. You looked over at Yunho with wide eyes knowing you’d really made a fool of yourself now. He only looked at you with a soft smile on his face. 

“Are you okay?” he asked 

“Yeah I’m...” you paused, “No, I’m terrified.”

“What? Why’d you agree to coming in here?” 

“Well, everyone seemed so adamant on coming and you- I mean everyone was excited to come check this place out so...”

“You didn’t have to come in.”

“I know but..I didn’t wanna look like a scaredy cat or something,” you mumbled

“I don’t think you’re a scaredy cat,” he smiled shyly, “I think it’s kinda cute.”

You were glad it was somewhat dark, the shadows keeping Yunho from seeing the obvious blush on your cheeks. The door let out a long loud creak again making you jump behind Yunho with a yelp. He giggled quietly (as to not embarrass you). He quickly took your hand in his and started pulling you back towards the entrance of the house. 

“Hey- what- Yunho!” 

You stopped just in front of the entrance before Yunho pulled you outside. You stared at him confused.

“Where are we going?”

“We’re leaving. You’re scared and I don’t like seeing you scared.”

Your stomach erupted into butterflies. You didn’t know Yunho cared so much for you and the simple words made your heart swoon. You let Yunho continue to pull you out of the house, your hand still in his. All your friends were rather confused to see the two of you leaving the haunted house so soon but that confusion was quickly replaced with teasing remarks when they saw the two of you hand in hand.
