The 'boss segments' sure felt like boss segments, holy shit. I had no real issues on the first Greer and Decima fights but the one at the end actually caused me a lot of issues. Not sure how, but it did.

I really love the first half of the expac being this kind of 'low stakes' feeling adventure (and really FEELING like a good adventure, the way the maps are designed and their scale making exploring them SO good ouegh), and then the latter half is this slowly ramping 'oh fuck, Titans', culminating in 'oh fuck. /another/ titan.'

I somehow REALLY really appreciate the 'we cannot do this we need to retreat' stuff. I really liked the one at the end, the Commander's hesitance before calling off the pursuit. Feels like they've really learned over the years that rushing in isn't in their (or anyone's) best interest.

I genuinely always thought Sorrow was gonna be a polar bear. Did not expect a grizzly, but appreciate the subversion of my expectations. Even after her reveal I'd expected the lowland appearance to be an illusion of some kind, but nah. Girl straight up grizzly. Gotta respect.

On that note, I did have a joke going on for a few months of 'we walk into the lowland kodan lands and just find her sitting amongst them like 'oh shit'' so this was pleasant for me lmao.

alright closing umineko for the night!! i had a great time with it so far!! i really like the writing style, and for the most part its actually a lot less dense than i was expecting. i also apperciate how slow burn this is, a few hours in and very little has happened yet it's nice. there's already a lot building but like. nothing big yet it's nice. i like it. it feels like it's moving at exactly the pace it wants to and i enjoy it a lot. the sound design is also rlly good. the music is really nice a couple times i got distracted and just listened to it in the bg. the sfx r nice too.

i do not regret my sprite choice i like these designs they're fun, but i do think maria looks a little off for her alleged age of 9, but it's easy to ignore after a min or two.ironically when i was loading the game and saw her on the steam page it def aligned better, but at the cost battler to my eyes is now yassified. he cant be a pretty boy to me he's too lame.

voice acting is great everyones putting fucking everyting into it and i enjoy that. fully commited to the enviroment and its great.

where i left off: everyone just finished having lunch! kumasawa covered for shannon not knowing the red sauce's ingredients. that's all for now! not sure when ill paly more, probably tomorrow, but its been good!! good game so far i like this setg up!! im also eagar to get more into the murder and violence and witch stuff but like, it does a good joib of setting up the characters so i dont feel impatient, and unlike a lot of games w/ murder n mystery that get right into it i kinda find it refreshing how slow this one is to start its like we all know itll get there so the tension of everyone being relatively calm is great.

It's cheesy. full of stuff you know is meant for kids and that corporate made them do. but I really liked it. I know the whole bit is that the family is weird. I don't really like that they used the word weird instead of autistic but i can kinda understand why they had to do it. i found myself relating the characters constantly. The way they run away when things get overwhelming, communicate through their interests, stim when they have big feelings (they all have their own, and most of them have a couple they do) and the way the situation their in affects them. It is not perfect representation but it did a good enough job for me.

If he’s away in an out of town sense, it’s even worse, because you can’t just go to eachothers places. In times like these, you two will go on call with eachother. Puzzle House Review

I was able to get my hands on a copy of the new Dragon Prince graphic novel so I wanted to come on here and give you my point form review of the book.

Warning! ⚠️ Spoilers underneath!

-Claudia really needs to fucking chill with the magic. Like girlfriend why are you doing it randomly around the house.

-Whoever was supervising Claudia, your mom's a hoe.

-Pregnant Sarai is so cute.

-It took me way too long to realize that it wasn't King Harrow on the throne, I'm talking it took 3 reads.

-Also, where is Harrow?

-That throne look hella uncomfortable. Like no cushion?

-Not Viren knowing exactly where his mentor is but still looking for him. I am curious to know what went wrong between him and his mentor and what led to his mentor being caught in a coin.

-It kind of feel bad for Viren cause I know that almost losing a child and divorce is not easy, especially within six months of each other.

-Also I wanna see a picture of Virens wife.

-Callum as a kid was so cute. He totally always had a crush on Claudia.

-Soren and Claudia's relationship has always been cute.

-On a different note these guards need to be fucking fired cause why can't you do your job? It is not that hard buddy.

-Most of the book is them just commiting laws to be honest.

-Not Soren almost falling to his death OVER A STATUE. In all fairness the same would probably happen to me.

-The giant didn't look that scary out of all honesty.

-My favourite part of the book was Callum talking about his father's death. I had to put the book down two times just to prevent myself from crying. Knowing that he loses his mother less than a year later makes me realise why he is so distant towards his step father. The fact he also understands that knowledge so young, it just hurts me.

-The giant and Claudia reaction is so good and also one of my other favourite moments.

-After my empathy for Claudia died after season 5 this novel made me regain if after seeing what Claudia went through l. Blaming herself for her parents divorce and then trying to fix it? Like I won't lie, that's heartbreaking, and so real because this happens to so many kids.

-Also now it is CANON that Viren:s wife left him because of his sake magic use, but in defense the dude saved his kid but also I understand where his wife is coming from. One time is enough to equal a one hundred times if it is dangerous enough.

-Soren also did the most big brother thing by saying he wasn't going back and basically telling Claudia to go on her own.

-I did not like the interaction between Claudia and Viren at all. The way he treated her in the begging to come and give his child a half assed apology and a coping mechanism is crazy. No wonder why Claudia is so messed up. Her dad literally encouraged her to use dark magic for so long. And it is proven that dark magic catches on easily to people.

-Also, in my personal opinion, K'parrs gift to Claudia was low key lame but hey, maybe that's not the real gift...

Overall not to bad but could have been better in a sense. Would have loved to see more of Soren.

I'd give it a solid 6.5 out of 10

What’s a controversial opinion you have? hm. i don’t know if this counts as controversial because it’s just my own experience versus others’ but, hot take: i actually really enjoyed high school and i miss it sometimes. i don’t miss the homework and sure, i have more freedom now as an adult, but i think for me my autistic brain really clung to the structure and routine. days were all the same and the world wasn’t too big to figure out. it was an easy life to master. i feel the same about college. being an adult, post-school, is really fuckin hard and i hate that i have to make up the structure myself. i hate that everything has to be made up based on my own feelings and desires because i’ve never been a dreamer and i rarely ever know what i wanna do with myself. with school i didn’t have to think about it, i could just exist in the structure and thrive. being an adult has its perks but uhghhhhh it’s too overwhelming a lot of the time too. but anyway that may not be controversial? that’s just my own weird life experience i guess.

How different is your actual adult self from how you pictured it when you were little? oh that actually ties into my first answer lmao. i truly hadn’t read this second question yet. anyway, i mean, i definitely ASSUMED that i would be married or at least close to marriage by this age (24, turning 25 later in the year). i think most kids assume that, because mid-twenties sounds SO GROWN UP. but then you get to this age and you realize you’re still a tiny baby adult. (also in my case you may also realize you’re on the aro/ace spectrum and navigating romance is gonna be more complicated!) anyway, besides assuming i’d be in a committed relationship, i really didn’t think about my future self at all. like i said, i’ve never been a real dreamer and i honestly had a lot of anxiety around growing up as a kid. and, arguably, i still have a bit of that anxiety. i’m just grinning and bearing it because there’s no other choice 🙃 so yeah i didn’t picture the future very often. i loved being a kid, and existing has just gotten more frustrating with each passing year.

but hey, it’s not all bad!!!! i’m happy generally and trying my best to figure myself out :) and it’s nice being able to hang with my friends without needing permission from my parents or needing to finish homework beforehand, so that’s definitely a win.

sherlock holmes is an entirely separate entry on this list than peter cushing because sherlock is a fictional character that has been portrayed in many different mediums and by many different actors, many of whom i at least kinda want to look like.

but most of all, i want to be like him, the idea of sherlock holmes. a protector who saves the meek and weak and who persecutes the oppressors. he is good, he is just, and he is loved by nearly all. also he is a major fucking nutjob, like me. he inspires me so much. this yearning helped me realize who i wanted to be, who i am. it makes my heart glow with hope and pride knowing that someone who so obviously has so much 'wrong' (wrong like me) with them can not just be a hero, but also one of the most definitive heroes in history.

posting a big grievance infodump from late last night under a read more. about some semi obscure god lore that doesnt really make it toooo much into the story but still contributes to motivations and such. and i just generally like the way this ties itself together in how i wrote it so i wanna share it

making worlds for gods is kind of all theyre meant to do its actually part of the reason ronnies depression gets really bad bc like. every god is different but they will generally have at least soooome kind of longing or feeling of obligation to be doing that. and ronnies was really bad but it was like essentially punishable by death to not just like sit and do nothing basically so it contributed to his depression a lot. but once a god like makes a world has one or has multiple its like. a commitment for eternity or until that world is gone. anything bad happens to it it will make you tired or sick if you try to neglect it it will make you tired or sick. if you are not doing nothing except looking after it you are tired and/or sick. in atrophy theres a decent amount of shadow gods who have worlds and most of them just kind of do nothing but that but like. this isnt really an ironed out plot beat but theres supposed to be one that lobotomy sends after nix and co. whos apparently been trying to multitask and the second they have to get into a fight they like. straight up just keel over and die. and thats why ronnie comes back. again thats not ironed out and could change but its my current way of showing what gods having a world is kind of like in the story. so yeah theyre not just like guys who are strong they really do have godly obligations most of them just. dont. bc its a big commitment its like. having a baby if the baby was ever present and never stopped screaming the mortals that they make are also the mortals they can like. 100% do anything to bc mortals from other universes or anything like ppl rift nix talk to basically just cant hurt him and he has like. super strength compared to them. could pop them like a grape. but theyre not ones he made so he cant like. turn them into a cube or something which is mostly restrictions to keep them from being absolutely super all powerful in rp or anything both options are kind of meant to feel kind of suffocating bc gods arent really. mmmeeeaaaant to be people theyre meant to be machines that do their godly duty and nothing else. but theyre also people. and they have to deal with being people. and i feel like a lot of grievance is kind of just people having to deal with being. people the thing is even if asterisk wasnt there doing that most of them STILL wouldnt just bc. well theyre people and theres other people there and theyd rather be with the other people than. essentially working forever. the reason ronnie at the end of atrophy doesnt start doing actual god stuff is bc nix and vinny are there now and theyre more important to him than anything he feels obligated to do. i imagine especially for the rift gusbands getting out of the purpose and living in a real mortal world that has change and constant movement and countless people must be so freeing. because the purpose is kind of just a soulless husk of a place to live theres. nothing there. unless you make it. and these gods sit around and do nothing because they dont know any better but living in a mortal world they can learn to outgrow that. i just think its really beautiful to think about. being literally made to do something and not being allowed to and its crushing because you cant do the one thing tou were made for. but then youre free of those rules but instead of turning to that obligation you realize. you dont have to do what you were made for. you can just live. you can do anything and go anywhere and be anyone and be WITH anyone you want. you can just live i also think its very pretty in my head how certain things like this end up tying nix and starb together as characters when they can seem so distant from each other in concept. but theres little details where theyre the same. someday they can both learn that they dont have to be what they were "made" to be they dont have to only ever look after a world they dont have to be a murderer they dont have to be a weapon they dont have to work nonstop for the sake of other people. they can just be themselves. thats a sentiment they both learn in the end

I can't say I've been a HUGE Dabi fan, I mean I've always really liked him and I think he's always been my fave of the League, but I've never spent a whole ton of time delving into his character. but he's really started growing more on me recently! same with Hawks actually, back when he was first introduced I was kinda like "oh yeah he's cool and stuff" but nothing really stood out to me, but over time I just really started appreciating him more and he's definitely one of my faves now! honestly, I'm quite behind on the manga (although I've been keeping up with major story developments via tumblr lmao) but I think Dabi and Hawks are one of the bigger reasons I want to get caught back up... Bakugou has always been a fave of mine and his character development still really stands out to me and I think it's some of the best in the series, and I also really love Midoriya and All Might and honestly the relationship between those three has always hit a real soft spot for me.

HAHA the biggest hurdle for starting One Piece, is...literally starting 😂 and that was my problem for the longest time. Once you're in there you don't really think about it being so long, the characters have so much to love and the adventure is SO good, you just hope it never ends lol. It's pretty casual to begin and it's lighthearted so its nice to just wind down with me for lol, watch like a few here and there. Until you hit the point of pure screaming bcus the plot HITS SO HARD and you just have to know what happens next!! But for me that's one of the best parts too-- being able to binge heavily and still know there's more to look forward to. :'D I started like back in June and only have like 300ish episodes left 😭 so tbh I slowed down and took a break bcus I was sad to catch up lol. If you ever just give it a try instead of thinking of it as a long commitment, you might be pleasantly surprised. 😆

TWO SCENES. that's kinda when it clicked to me that this was gonna be MEH for me. it was the odasaku disappointment that clued me in. and Yet. i don't know exactly when i went from curiosity reading to straight up hate reading it but it happened and i got to 15 chaps out of 18 or smth. i was rolling my eyes at every line and yet hitting next chapter at 3am AND i Will finish it bc that's how committed to hating i am
