#to delete maybe#like writing is writing and that’s great#but i think there needs to be a little less push to like…. academic-ize fanfic#like if you choose to interact with fic in analytical or critical ways#great that’s good for you and i support#but the push for all fic to be intended to be interacted with in such a way#i don’t think is the best thing for fanfic or fandom#like YES critical thinking is good! comprehension is good! but if people want to also have fun with fandom separate to recognizing what#the original work was intending isn’t inherently evil or lesser#alison speaks?
