Swiftlinson is life. There is this one incredible fic about them „when things go wrong I sing along“ - did you read it? It’s soooo good, one of my fave rarepair fics ever.

anon 2:  Could you please elaborate why do you think Taylor Swift and Louis are similar, based off of her doc right? Haven't had the time to watch it but i'm looking forward to.

Anon 1: THAT IS A RARE PAIR FOR SURE, OMG (I see only 15 fics for it up on ao3, which is amazing considering the sizes of their fandoms). I don’t think I could get into reading them romantically together, I just don’t see the chemistry, but I do appreciate that they’re both incredibly smart and game sees game, yet I don’t think I’ve seen it in fic, so if you see it/know it, TELL ME!!

Anon 2: Obviously, Taylor deals with a level of misogyny both professionally and personally that Louis will never see, and there are tons of other very obvious differences, too, but what made me think of their similarities from that doc is that they’re both extremely intelligent and savvy when it comes to business/career management, they’re HIGHLY TALENTED songwriters whose lyrics have an almost diary-level of intimacy, they have an innate sense of how to connect to their fans because they need that validation/strength, they came of age in this industry in their teens, they’re very close to their moms (and both moms have/had cancer, are/were the best kind of stage moms), they’re people pleasers, they come from similar parts of their countries (”small towns”, north/south), they acknowledge LGBT+ issues from their closets as best they can, they get written off because their fanbase is perceived as young/female (I won’t compare their similar promo moves like videos, graffiti walls, extremely unique scavenger hunts, etc., because that doesn’t really come through in the doc, but yeah, much to think about). I would assume Louis didn’t eat his first burrito two years ago, but something about that isolation inside of her own world, schedule, etc., yeah, really gives perspective on what can happen when you’re in the eye of a hurricane for *years*
