joking about it is one thing but some of the ways i see people talk about marias death and potential upcoming adaptations of it make me wonder if anyone even remembers what the already existing portrayals of marias death looked like ... ? because its not as scary as some people seem to think it is. i mean yes its a tragic moment and kinda dark for a kids franchise about cute talking animals but theres no blood. we dont directly see maria get shot. we dont see the exact moment where she dies. some versions (including sa2) dont even show soldiers or guns or anything and just have the player piece together what happened through context clues. so no i dont think little kids are gonna be traumatized from playing sxs gens no i dont think sonic 3 has to be rated pg 13 in order to do the story justice . showing her death in extreme detail literally wouldnt even be accurate to the source material
