Hmmm. I created an elaborate backstory for Crystal's powers for Let Me Follow and I think about 10% of it will make it in to the actual fic. Unfortunately, I can't share because it's a spoiler lol.

Another piece of lore I can share is that in my halloween bang The Rituals Are Intricate when Charles mentions a ritual going wrong and leaving him with vampire-like fangs for an entire year, he also wanted to bite Edwin that whole time, and chalked it up to the spell, so he never said anything about it. Obviously if he had mentioned it, Edwin would inform him that there is no way the spell would leave him wanting to bite anyone, and especially not only one specific person. This would have been an awkward revelation for both parties.

i don't know if this was an intentional choice, but i noticed that whenever Amir addresses himself by title, it's almost always with people he doesn't like.

he didn't like Rupert, for a time.

he didn't like Barabbas.

he didn't like the Barkeeper.

and he didn't like Darling.

of course, it wasn't every single time with someone he doesn't like, and he did address himself in a positive manner twice, i believe. but in comparison to the other times, i find it kinda funny that his go-to with people he don't like is to just establish dominance.
