okay so this ⬆️ lyric isnt that funny on its own but i like it because in the tonight album commentary video, bob lists “hello” and “hi” as examples of dirty words to spell on a calculator … which i find very silly because yk. there are plenty more dirty words you can type lol

its also just a fun bit of wordplay imo, the next line after this is “you could turn my dirty world the right way round” so its a fun little piece of similar sounds being used and stuff

THIS ONE is great because they literally invented a word for it. avaricide is afaik not an actual word, but its developed from the word “avarice” (meaning: extreme greed for wealth or material gain) most likely and its neat bc. its pretty much partly just there so itll rhyme but at the same time it also genuinely fits with the song and its very interesting to think about from both sides!!

If youre looking for some help being an artist on tumblr, as a tip from artist to artist, its a pretty good idea to make an art tag to organize all your stuff, that way when people want to look at your art they can just search it up and itll be easy to find!

You can make up a unique one (think something like #doodlessss or #falconart) or you can just use a simple #my art (a lot of artists use that one, myself included!) and to use it, just add it whenever you make an art post so it doesnt get lost (adding it to your pinned tags in settings helps a lot too)

You can also make up unique ones with the names of specific art, like if you want to keep a specific au in one tag so you can look at it later

And of course, youre not obligated to do this if its not for you, but ive found it to be a useful tool for a lot of artists on here so i figured itd be good for you to know as well!

Make sure you follow and reblog from plenty of people to branch out, dont be afraid to reblog your own work, and use the block function as often as you like/need to curate your space!

Youve got yourself a fairly low power home server box right there. The most common use cases for computers like that are as a NAS box/Media streaming server, Home automation/security server, OpenWrt router box, Emulation machine for different OS'es or retro games, a remote access rendering/compute station if you stuck a dgpu in there, which also opens the door for machine learning, which you can use to run simulations, facial recognition for home security, or run local generative AI if you so wish for whatever reason.

If I were you and I wanted to upgrade this box at all hardware wise, I would do this and in this order.

1. I would buy a 15-20 dollar sata ssd and stick in in there. Teamgroup vulcan drives have yet to fail me in this department.

2. Add more ram. pretty much whatever you can find for cheap as long as its similar to whatever ram you already have in there is fine and preferable even

3. add a cheap slot powered gpu like an A310, RX560, GT 1030, RTX 3050 6GB, RX6500XT, RTX 4060, or the professional variants of those cards, and that gives you a very capable little server box.

honestly though, you dont need to upgrade it at all if your just getting into home servers and havent found a use case yet. That machine should still be perfectly capable of light server workloads just fine, though I would definitely at least get a 2.5" SSD, thats always a good Idea.

As for the Software side, I think the peak of home server software is proxmox hands down. Its also one of the most complicated OS's to learn and get right, so unless you have the time and energy to learn how a hypervisor works, you can choose any major distro and itll have a server edition. Theres also other dedicated home server/NAS OS choices as well, like Truenas, Unraid, CasaOS, Openmediavault, Rockstor, and a million others ive never used. The world is your oyster in this regard. Just dont use windows server edition. It sucks.

hey you i have a old pc with 2tbs of storage i NEED to do something with it. i hate seeing it there doing nothing it bothers me to an unbelievable degree.

ps. this can involve basically involving software (New Os, making a server (i don’t have any use for), etc.) hardware specs are i3-7100@3.9ghz 8 gigabytes of ram and 2 tb of storage
