ppl who dont use diacritics but are obviously supposed to are fucking me up... tim pütz is his name on wikipedia but his itf name is puetz... belinda benčič and miloš raonić other famous examples... like okay i will drop it for you but i dont feel good about it
#i know why they probably drop the diacritics but still.... it feels wrong for me to not type benčič...#actually her name would be benčičová if we're being pedantic but whatever she says its benčič so its benčič#milos i get cause he was raised in canada (and probably same story for bencic but idk what switzerland is like)#but i remember posting about agessss ago saying i wish i was dedicated to the diacritic lifestyle because i was so certain#that ppl are mispronouncing 'milos' and i guess that spite has continued#but if he doesnt use it he doesnt use it so whatever#tho when im writing his name in a private setting (ie when im journaling abt tennis scores lol) i do have a habit of writing miloš lol...
