#ramblings of a bystander#once again i continue to have nothing against stardew valley itself#but i remain baffled by the people who seem to think it invented the farming sim???#i wasn't playing farming sims on my DS years before stardew valley released for people to act like it's not a well established genre#if not a previously somewhat niche genre.#the creator for stardew has even explicitly said Rune Factory was one of the games/series that inspired him like COME ONE
