I originally planned to update my DOB series for February 1st but because I caught a horrible case of the flu leading up to the update (it was so bad I think it might have actually been covid sometimes (ó﹏ò。)), I was unable to do any writing for a week so I'm a week behind and won't be able to give the chapter 9 update until a week later than planned so: 09/02/2025 (dd/mm/yyyy)

I'm very sorry, my loves, but hey, at least I'm still doing monthly updates right? Just not on the first lol (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

[i will probably delete this later but for other pokepasta blogs hanging around, i (starry) am making interactions open with my currently available characters (ace, fire, glitchy, and leaf sorry blue/mike/steven fans) open for other ask/rp blog's muses/characters.

these will be non-canon, but that also means that even while the main story's on hiatus, i'm open to receiving and answering these in the meantime! ive been seeing other blog interactions circle in the pokepasta ask/rp blog sphere a fair bit more lately and it seems like a lot of fun, esp now that we know what we're doing with mn a bit better. i am also planning/hoping to send a few out to other blogs as well ^^

The chapter won't be posted until tomorrow. I had hoped to get the chapter posted today, but I'm 100 pages in, and I still need to write a crucial section from a certain character's POV at the end. There's no way I can realistically get the section written and then read the chapter for revisions tonight. Ya gorl has to sleep.

i'm so sorry it's taking so long, i actually deserve jail for that. i'm fully aware. however the past few months have been so busy and draining and i honestly haven't had the time or energy to focus on posting new chapters. i haven't abandoned the fic, i've slowly been making progress with writing the next chapters, i'm just missing a few + editing and believe me when i say i can't wait to share the rest of this fic with my lovely readers. i promise an update will come sooner or later!!

Haha. Well. I meant to have the next Alphatale page done before the new year, but I haven't even gotten the backgrounds. All I have are excuses, and only a handful are legitimate. For anyone going "Oh it's fine, I'm sure you have good reasons!", I appreciate you, and I want to make clear that this isn't a matter of being unnecessarily pressured by myself or an audience. This is a very personal story to me that I really want to share, so I'm just disappointed I didn't make the time for it.
