umm shit fuck shit i miss genshin impact so badly but i could never actually redownload it and start playing again because that would erase the idealized version of it that sleeps in my head where there were only three regions including dragonspine, the character designs were actually goated, and the lore wasn't exhausting to get through

#jay does a think #sometimes in my mind #it is still 2021 and i am on call with a few friends playing co-op and grinding domains together #and all i had of xiao was that one beta footage of him crushing it in spiral abyss like it was no big deal #and sometimes i am watching the sunset from qingyun peak while listening to the music #because the music was always good #and sometimes i would just mindlessly wander picking up small bits of lore along the way #there were definitely issues in the early game that are still pretty prevalent today #but i have a very . sentimental and idealized idea of what playing genshin impact was like during its peak #and there will never be another formula of circumstances that will allow me to enjoy the game like i did ever again
