#im gonna be veryyyyyy very loose with the prequel books. like dotc is no longer about mountain cats and is further in the past#but i doooo kinda like tigerstars granddaddy being the one to exile mapleshade. it fits in well with thunderstars dynasty in rv#disproportionate consequences by a bigoted leader from a bigoted family because you slighted a family member#like its on brand for him. im thinking hes genuinely gonna be a terrible person in rv!mapleshades vengeance#i ask for both options btw bc im considering the drama that can come from both#cause if hes born after then theres the implication that pinekits a replacement kid for oakstar. which ties into the dynasty#he needs to keep the bloodline going bc maple killed everyone else#(oooo maybe maple's body count can get bigger and more of her victims are oakstars family???)#but if hes alive and he watches the exile then it can be a formative experience for pinekit. his earliest memory is tragedy from injustice#his father cast out a vulnerable queen and indirectly caused so much death in the process#and if maple targeted oakstars family then he was in the crossfire
