I do want to reiterate how much I like that fan comic you made (the t-shirt one) because I think it works with both of them so well! And again, so relatable, Jamie is absolutely the kinda skinny guy to just not think through the logic of his shirts being too small.And Santiago isn't the type of guy to fw the tiny shirt thing. What kills me about Jamie is he's so inconsiderate but he loves Santi so much...

Honestly I don't really see them as like gay gay, but like gay in the way two girls who are besties in middle school are gay. Like they're not gonna kiss but they are gonna have complexes over each other forever...

I think Jamie and Santi are great examples of Satre's whole "hell is other people" thing tbh...

Crazy thing too is, sometimes I'll go back to the source material, especially if I get self-concious when writing these two (ex: drawing Jamie getting really huggy and thinking "is this OOC? am i crazy?" then flipping open to page two of this goddamn comic.)

And when making the shirt comic I literally thought to myself "Did I fucking make that up? He did say Jamie steals his shirts all the time,right? It wasn't a one-time thing?" And checking back it was actually WORSE than I remembered. He steals his CLOTHES.

Which god, is even funnier because no way is Jamie fitting into those jeans. but funny to me because there's a non-zero chance he's worn that ratty ass hoodie of Santiagos' before.

ALSO I LITERALLY LOVE JAMIE SOOOO MUCH HE'S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER!!

And I refuse to woobify him he's a shitty friend and also a guy who sucks and is really bad at listening to/ considering other peoples feelings whatsoever.

BUT. he also does really obviously hold such a spot in his weird little heart for Santiago. There's him hyping Santi up to the crowd, insisting people will love him, totally dropping his party guy fun mood when he thinks Santiago is seriously hurt

AND the fact that he's bringing Santiago to this party to cheer him up in the first place.

Which like, people might be like "okay but that's crazy selfish AND stupid because Santiago HATES parties" and wow that's wild because Jamie doesn't KNOW that! (as far as we know) and on TOP of that totally has reason to think partying would cheer up Santiago because that's something theyre both used to doing TOGETHER!!

ON TRIPLE TOP OF THAT, SANTIAGO WAS THE ONE WHO AGREED TO COME TO THE PARTY!! HE ASKED!!

WHATEVERRR Jamie obviously sucks and is inconsiderate and stupid and obnoxious and pushy and not fun to be around for long periods of time, but I also think ! He obviously cares about Santiago ( a guy we KNOW will say shits fine when its NOT FINE!!! ) !! Which is a big reason both why their relationship fascinates me/ is what a lot of my fanart revolves around AND why i think Jamies the best in my heart forever.
