we're going on a week-long vacation to south carolina this september and *sly cooper dub voice* WE'RE GONNA DRIVE THERE, so i'm wondering if i can maybe convince my folks to let me hijack the car radio for like an hour or two on the way. they'd have to fiddle around with the radio a bunch anyway once we start crossing state lines, so it shouldn't be too hard a sell. problem is trying to figure out which fob albums my parents with dubious music taste will actually enjoy.

#i'm not putting my playlist on shuffle. i have evening out with your girlfriend on that thang #would you show evening out to Your parents? that's what i thought.#i think i can maybe get away with playing ioh without getting any snide comments #i've been putting up with their shitty beer songs since i was in the womb. they can handle A Song about jorkin' it.#folie may also be acceptable but also what a catch might bring the mood down a bit in the car #so maybe not #i'm pretty confident that they'll at least enjoy srar and Maybe ab/ap #and i feel like at least my mom would enjoy most of mania #but i don't wanna imagine how everyone in the car is gonna react to young and menace so that's a no go #(i say this as someone who has been long converted to a young and menace defender)#and stardust is prolly a safe bet. but i'm not skipping the spoken word tracks for their sakes bucko.#am i overthinking this? yeah definitely.
