i know that because of the format of the show we don’t get to see much of the mains lives outside of the week they have to fight monsters, but i think a lot of people conflate the way they act in end of the world situations with who they are as people, and how they behave most of the time.

which is why we end up with fics where steve is the most passive, self sacrificial person in the world all the time. or fics that don’t seem to get that nancy is preppy and that she isn’t just constantly pulling a gun on people to get her own way.
