okay ACTUALLY the real reason trying to reread death of a salesman is depressing is because biff is complaining about making $28/hour in 1949. i would kill to make $28/hour in 2024. okay wait just looked up how much $28 in 1949 would be worth today and it’s $371.17. i’m so mad rn. that’s my whole rent in 1 hour 🙃

#whatever. more people should read stuff about how the american dream is bullshit and we’re all working ourselves to the grave for nothing #not like i have a GREAT job or anything but it’s well above minimum wage and it’s good pay for the type of work #+ really good benefits tbh like i have really good healthcare to be fair #but i do feel kind of called out by mr. miller rn
