pros of house to self for xmas: i can host my besties without feeling observed

i can pretend the holiday season is fake

no one can get on my case about doing a 500 piece (499 piece...) puzzle on the living room carpet over the course of several hours

cons of house to self for xmas: there is a giant house spider on my bedroom wall. it is doing nothing, but it is doing nothing... menacingly... there is no one to save me. i no longer have a bedroom, i have made a tactical retreat and taken my belongings next door. i may be in here for the next week, or until help arrives. i am genuinely considering cashing in my 'emergency' phone call with my uncle at 11pm on christmas eve eve.

bigger con: i bravely ventured into enemy territory to liberate a charger. it's moved now. it may be out of sight, but it is NOT out of mind. i will hold my ground (from the other room) and never back down (not hallucinate bugs) and most importantly, never surrender (cry about it)
