I have no doubt you are looking good right now! :) So, I have never tried for Hollister jeans, but I do love their sweats and sometimes their shirts. However, they are such an overpriced and very smelly store so I don’t venture in often. In-store AEO has disappointed me as of late as well, mostly for the exact same reason that they basically only have skinny jeans, which I am not a big fan of and I detest jeggings. Like, they’re just way uncomfortable and yes, I know I wear leggings a shitload of the time, but that doesn’t mean I like the way my legs look in them. I was like 19 or 20 when I finally decided to buy a pair of skinnies and wear them. I fucking hate them. Then I got holes in the only pair of skinnies that I did like and had to throw them away and have yet to find a suitable replacement. I’m super picky on clothes and not just anything will do. I also really hate the holey style of jeans, like just cover my fucking legs like jeans are supposed to do. They’re made for coverage and comfort.

AEO carries two styles that I adore. The Boot Cut and the Artist, but they don’t seem to carry those in-store anymore since everyone is all gaga over skinnies and for some reason “mom” jeans are making a comeback? Don’t get it, they’re the most unflattering style of jeans, along with the high-waisted. Bring my hip-huggers back please! Bring back my fucking flares! I hate all other styles that have become popular as of late. I legit still have the flare jean I bought at AEO when I was a sophomore in high school. Sure they have huge ass holes under the back pockets that render them nearly useless, but I put on leggins underneath and I’m good to go. AEO online is where you can find their normal non-skinny jeans. Not as many styles as there used to be, but they do carry them still. I know you don’t know what size you are at now, but I would measure yourself and then use a chart that can help gauge what you are in the American sizing (bullshit sizing). Maybe a 2 short? I can’t remember what size you said last time. Seems a lot of stores lately are catering to height as well. Tall, Regular, and Short. I hate how short hits me at ankle, even though that is where jeans are supposed to be worn, fuck that noise, cover my damn feet, so I always get Regular. I know you’re a little shorter than me so the short might fit you length-wise the best!    

The Artist style has a bit of a flare, a double-button, and they hit about like how hip-huggers hit. Love that. Same for the boot cut, except they are a single button and a bit more straight leg. They have some stretch to them, so after one wear they get looser and aren’t so suctioned to your legs. Best part about those styles. The sucky part of online shopping is figuring out size, but whatever size you just shrunk out of, I would go ahead and pick one or two sizes below that. Whatever size doesn’t fit, you can return them in-store even if you bought them online, which is super convenient and helps to save some money with shipping or printing out labels. AEO is so very good at being across the board same fit through styles, so that’s what’s nice. Once you figure size, you won’t have to worry about having to get a different size in a different style. A problem I had when I shopped at Aeropostal. I do miss Aeropostal jeans, though. Maybe they’ve gotten their shit together and I’ll give them a try when I go shopping this weekend. But anyway! I hope that helped in some way! Also, fuck yes will I be checking out those Aerie thermals! Who knows, we might end up matching again ;)
