dunno why its taken me this long to actually look up how a steam engine works
#im a fraud a hack a fuckin. uh. idk i never bothered to do it cuz it never came up#and im fucking with it anyways for my own purposes cuz like. fiction. linebeck's ship is designed weird so we've got liberties#i think i had to do a whole project on the steam engine in like middle (high?) school or smth a while back but i cant really remember#i also feel like i didnt learn much abt how the thing actually works more just. who made it#dragging myself through this first chapter i just want to get to when bellum shows up but i need to establish a few things#salty talks#i might play ph real quick just to refresh my memory on what the interior of his ship looks like i always forget#but i always remember the ambient noises bc its interesting. what's making that ticking noise
