Attention Required
oikawa x reader
summary: Oikawa fights for your attention over your work by any means possible. That fight becoming literal as he even gets punched in the face for you.
genre: Fluff
word count: 1.3k
warnings: food is mentioned but not graphically
a/n: I can’t believe I haven’t written anything for him yet! Oikawa was my first crush when I started Haikyuu. Now I just love everyone
masterlist
“Ahhh are you still working?” The voice startles you and you turn to see Oikawa stood in your bedroom doorway. He wasn’t supposed to be done with practice for another few hours? You look at the time on your laptop to see that practice was well over. It had even gotten dark outside and you never noticed. Yikes, that was scary how have you been working for this long and still have so much left to do.
“Oh yeah,” You look away embarrassed at how absorbed you got, “I just have to finish this little bit up then I’m free.” Spinning back to your computer, you shake off the weird feelings that your time lapse gave you and jump back into your working trance.
Oikawa was a little annoyed that you didn’t even give him a kiss but he let you off the hook and threw himself on your bed.
He tried to occupy himself, he really did, but an hour had passed and you were still working. If you’ve been working all of his practice then you probably haven’t eaten yet! He immediately got to ordering food.
“Hey Y/N, I’m ordering food what do you want.” He called from the bed.
“Yeah.” You absentmindely said over your shoulder.
“I said what do you want.” Who answers a question with “yeah”? He was seriously not impressed with the lack of attention. Although, this was sure to do the trick so he just held in a little longer.
“Hmm? Oh that sounds good.” Oikawa just stared at you for a minute and contemplated everything. His whole life. Your relationship. Everything. It didn’t matter really though because he knew exactly what you always order. He surely thought that food would divert your attention but here you were twenty minutes later the food arrived are you were still working.
“Look what I got!” He basically yelled, smug since he knew that this was your absolute favorite.
“Hmm. Oh you should have said you were ordering food, I already ate.” You said before going back to your laptop.
Oikawa was speechless. Boy, your lucky he loves you because he is ready to tackle you right now. So maybe this wasn’t going to be as easy as he expected but who is he to back down from a challenge. He pouts as he muches on his dinner, planning his next move.
He’s got it. Who can back down from his killer flirting skills!
“Y/N.” He whispered in your ear. Hands creeping up your shoulder and down your chest.
SCHMAK!
He just stayed there for a minute. A red handprint on his cheek. His head turned to the right from the force of the blow.
“Omg Oikawa! I am so sorry I totally forgot you were there,” You jump up immediately and inspect his face, “You scared me half to death.” Wanting to scold him for scaring you but you felt too bad since you did just hit him in the face. You really hope this doesn’t bruise or his fan club will have you on the stake within the hour.
This wasn’t exactly the outcome he had expected but at least you are no longer working.
“It’s fine. It was an accident after all.” He flashed one of his classic smiles.
“There should be a first aid kit in the bathroom cupboard. You should put something on that so a bruise doesn’t come out.” You say as you gently run your fingers across the aggravated skin.
It’s not until he is in the bathroom does he realize you are not there with him. He goes back to your room and see that you went back to working. Seriously!? How can he top getting basically decked in the face. If that wan’t enough to make you pay attention to him, then what was?
He is now back to laying on his stomach on your bed just staring at you. A piece of paper catches his eye and he stretches half off the bed, nearly falling off, to grab it. He rips the corner off of it and crumples it into a little ball. Then he launches the tiny ball across the room and at you. The paper gently hit you and sticks in your hair without you realizing. The next one lands on your shoulder and falls into your lap.
He waits for a reaction. Nothing. So he crumples another ball up and tries again. Each one falling way too close for you not to realize.
This behavior is strange it is usually him who acts like this. That’s when it clicks. He doesn’t know how he missed all the signs, ones that Iwa has yelled at him about so many times. Obsessing. Whatever you were working on had completely consumed you that you forgot about basic things such as the time and food.
He sets the scrap of paper down and stands up. His mind is set, he knows exactly what he has to do.
All of the sudden you go flying backwards as someone pulls your chair out and you with it. You let out a yelp, most definitely not expecting that. Then you get kind of scared because who would do that. Then you remember Oikawa was there.
“Seriously?! I’m almost done can’t you just let me work.” You scold, pretty annoyed at the interruption.
“Nope.” That is all Oikawa gives you before you are hurled up from the chair and over his shoulder.
“Let me down!” You yell flailing around, hitting his back. He pays you no mind.
“No can do.” He says before throwing you on the bed. This wasn’t one of those cute tosses you see in the movies, this was straight up a WWE throw down. Although, you kind of had that coming after you decked him.
“Wait,” You suddenly please, trying to puppy dog eye him. He stops and looks at you, waiting for you to continue.
“Just let me finish off the last little but.” With that he glares at you and forces you under the covers.
“Yeah right. Thats what you said five hours ago!” Once he has wrangled you under there, luckily you had changed into PJs as soon as you got home, he straight up lays on you. Full body weight squishing you, preventing you from wriggling out the bed and back to that damn computer.
“Fine, I’ll just wait until you leave.” You try and turn your face away from him but its kind of hard with him lying on you.
“Who said I am leaving?” He challenges. You turn your head back to him in confusion. There is a smug grin plastered on his face that makes you want to smack him. Again.
“Ha! Mom will kick you out-”
“Wanna bet? Your mother loves me.” He’s got you there. Knowing your mother she would just giggle and leave you two be. Damn Oikawa and his charm. With that you are out of options and just surrendered to him. Once he has confirmed that you aren’t going to pull a fast one on him, he rearranges you guys to a more comfy cuddle position. One where he isn’t crushing you.
“Sorry for not paying attention to you.” You grumble face hidden in his chest.
“Huh? What was that? I couldn’t quite hear you.” He teases. You pull back and glare at him.
“Don’t make me hit you again.”
“Ahh so mean.” He whines.
“Sorry about hitting you also.” You are back to grumbling in his chest.
“Oh that the things I do for your affection.” You roll your eyes but you can’t help your smile.

02 ; 02. hyunsung / 10,864 words
incubus!hyunsung, an occasional softness with an occasional roughness, oral (m & f receiving), threesome, virgin!female reader, unprotected sex, a hint of corruption kink, slight hyunsung rivalry, a little romance because demons are falling in love
tw: mentions of insecurities, hinting at bullying nearing the end
parts: 01 ; 02 ; 03
a/n: ahh, i have never written a threesome before so i hope this isn’t too sloppy.
it was just an act out of boredom, or perhaps deep down it was a cry for help, but whatever the reason behind you trying out a demon summoning challenge your classmate gave you, you did not expect to find two men dressed in suits morphing out of the shadows in your room.
the blond one appeared first, with his long hair parted to each side, falling prettily over the frame of his face. intense eyes, a soft nose, and plumpy lips—he looked like the picture-perfect man, and the fact that he was staring at you when he appeared sent shivers down your spine.
but then another one appeared not too soon after. he was different, still attractive but in a much less elegant way. black hair styled up and falling over his forehead like a comma, his eyes were bright and warm, his smile cheeky—this one was friendly, with an attractively boyish vibe to him, and he eyed you up and down with intrigue when he noticed you kneeling in the middle of your room.
and then they saw each other. you could pinpoint exactly the moment when their brows furrowed and their eyes changed to a shade of bright red, annoyance flaring into their system as they started to shove each other with insulting words.
"what the fuck are you doing here?" hyunjin asked, a brow raised and his tone more condescending than ever.
"what are you doing here?" jisung retorted back, eyes wide in a threatening way.
"i asked you first."
"i don't give a shit, answer my question."
you looked back and forth between the two of them. to say you were confused was an understatement, questions were littered all across your head at the almost comical situation: are those two demons? they did morph from shadows, suppose they could be. but shouldn't they be more intimidating than childish? this sounded like the kind of argument you could overhear in middle school.
"umm... i think you guys are here because i summoned you both," you chimed in timidly, your legs automatically squeezing together when they both turned to look at you.
jisung raised his brows in amusement, tilting his head at your shrunken form before he threw away the menace for a moment and turned to hyunjin. he grinned at the way hyunjin was staring at you, his gaze frozen and bursting little sparks of lustful red.
hyunjin could smell the faint scent of obedience from you but you were yet to be afraid of them, which he would prefer, to be honest.
after all, it wasn't the kind obedience he would want if it stemmed from fear. hyunjin would much rather have you begging for it, begging for him to control you in each and every way possible and to make you succumb to him.
"aww, look at her! she has her hand raised and everything!" jisung cooed, breaking the blond-haired boy out of his trance before he looked back at you. "don't worry, baby. wait until i get this stupid shit out of here and i'll give you the best fuck of your life."
you blanked out at his words. what did he just say—best what?
hyunjin caught onto the immediate change of your expression, a deep chuckle leaving his lips as he shoved his hands in his pockets before slowly inching towards you. jisung whined at the fact that he was being ignored, but the way hyunjin was looking at you has got him quite interested in what was going on as well.
hyunjin stopped before you, just enough to see you arch your neck up to look at him. the suggestive angle where he could see into the small gap of your loose shirt, and the way your eyes blinked up questioningly at him made him clench his fist.
patience. he reminded himself. he could get his chance soon, with or without jisung here. preferably without him here; that annoying brat would so ruin the elegant mood with his blabbering mouth. the only rambling sounds he wanted to hear were the chokes and incoherent noises of your throat being fucked raw and hard.
"do you know what we are?" he asked carefully, looking at you for an immediate answer.
“uh–uhm, demon–demons?” you stuttered, feeling heavy under his gaze.
jisung crouched down next to you, an entertained expression on his face. you felt pressure from the way he eyed you—interest, expectations, like you were some pretty little thing even though you knew you weren't. but there was a type of solace you felt from him willing to be at your eye-level when hyunjin kept his authoritative distance by standing tall.
"close, we are demons, but specifically speaking, we are incubuses." jisung said, giving your cheek a pinch before he squealed. "ooh, you're so soft! i just want to–ahh! i wanna do so many things to you, sweet cheeks!"
"jisung, can you stop for a damn second?" hyunjin sighed, sending an irritated glare over at the boy before he peered down at you once again. "you. do you know what an incubus is?"
you pursed your lips, your cheeks flaring a shade of red as you dropped your head. but soon after, a hand gripped your chin and made you look back up at him abruptly. jisung was grinning, his firm grip a pain on your bones and causing you to gasp.
"you gotta look at people when you talk to them, sweet cheeks," he said, all smiles and bubbles even though his death grip on your jaw was probably strong enough to bruise.
hyunjin clicked his tongue. god, he almost forgot why he hated this ignorant and aggressive man so much. jisung was always so mindless about his strength, sometimes he would cause more pain than pleasure but yet his sex count still tolls up a hundred times more than his.
people didn't really want him, he always thought like that. he was pretty, but too soft, too kind, too wussy to be tough with soft little humans.
it was a faint sense of envy. and also a simple rush of annoyance that jisung never learned to be polite with human beings.
especially delicate ones like you.
jisung was kicked harshly off to the side before hyunjin knelt on one knee in front of you. he took his hands out of his pants pockets, one hand grabbing your smaller one while the other stroked down the side of your face until the tip of his index finger met your chin.
he tilted your head up, slow and careful, and he whispered, "answer me, doll. do you know what an incubus is?"
before you could answer, jisung bounced back from the ground with an angered groan. "hwang hyunjin, you've just been getting on my fucking nerves today–"
"you need to learn to be gentle with people," he glanced to the side. "this one especially. she's fragile."
"they're all fragile."
hyunjin pursed his lips together and removed his hands from you. when you thought you were off the hook, however, he grabbed ahold of jisung's hand and pressed it towards your clothed cunt without a warning. you flinched in surprise, a whimper leaving your lips while jisung paused his movements.
"i said this one is fragile. if you can't smell it then feel it, asshole,"
jisung dipped his fingers into your clothed core, ever so slightly but he already has you a blushing and wincing mess. his eyes widened for a moment, your refreshing aroma hitting his nose, then he softened as he recalled what hyunjin just told him.
"you've never had sex before," jisung muttered as he removed his hand from you. tilting his head to the side, he sucked in a confused breath before he hummed. "did you summon us to take your virginity?"
he allowed you the permission to look away this time, seeing it was probably beyond embarrassing to have to admit to going this far to fulfill that kind of filthy requests. but, even with the blush on your face, you shook your head.
"no, i–i was just messing around," you said. "i thought i was gonna summon lucifer or something, that's what the girls in my class told me."
jisung laughed, genuinely amused at your stupidity. "you really think the big man downstairs has time to answer human requests?"
"what would you have done if he did appear?" hyunjin asked. when you didn't answer, he reached out and gently turned your head back to him. "answer me when i ask you a question, doll."
"i..." you pursed your lips together.
this was absolutely humiliating. surely, you did not plan to summon sex demons to take your virginity for you. frankly, you would never do that due to the idea that those demons hold no personal feelings towards you, and you wanted intimacy rather than mindless sex. but summoning lucifer to help you become more sexually and romantically appealing to the human gaze was just about the same idea.
not directly asking for sex, sure, but the point was that you still wanted it.
"i just wanted–" your lips quirked down. and when hyunjin raised a questioning brow at you, you felt like crying in shame that you have to admit such disgusting things to such a gorgeous man. "i just wanted to be better because no one would take me."
the way jisung could resonate with the dimming of red light behind hyunjin's eyes was surprising. the sudden fuel of desire to show you his warm, hazelnut brown, more humane eyes was something he has never felt before.
it was the first moment that clicked for jisung, it seemed, that you were truly vulnerable in all aspects. not just the fact that you have never been fucked before, but that fact that you haven't even been kissed, never been loved, never been proven that you were so, so desirable in the eyes before.
he sighed a little. this wasn't his playing field. making love wasn't his thing, it was hyunjin's thing. and even though he had made fun of hyunjin for showing unnecessary tenderness to horny little human fucktoys, a part of him wished he had what hyunjin has somehow.
there was always preciousness in being tender; a god-given trait a demon never had the privilege to experience unless it was under the hands of a human being.
jisung has spent too long denying the need for it, it has finally blown over his head. he has never once stayed longer than a minute after the climax. he was always gone before sunrise, before the witching hour, before the human falls asleep.
jisung didn't enjoy all his encounters. people turn to him and all they see is 'roughness.' hyunjin, on the other hand, probably had a fair share of gentle kisses here and there, that sick bastard.
looking at you again, his eyes grazing past your soft skin and squeezed thighs, his nose sniffing the scent of your sweet, tight cunt that turned him on so much, he had a moment of second thoughts.
"you can have her," he said to hyunjin after a moment of contemplation. "you can take it."
"jisung–"
"no, it's fine," he protested as he shook his head, trying to stand up from the spot he crouched. "this is her first time, someone should probably take care of her–"
"han jisung, could you please read the room?" hyunjin said, rolling his eyes slightly.
he did, his eyes turning over to find you staring at him with a somewhat disappointed expression. he gasped inwardly; oh you have got him all wrong. he was not leaving because he thought you weren’t good enough to have him around. if anything, he wanted to have you all to himself as much as hyunjin did.
but realizing how his long repressed-vulnerability, one that has been factored into the situation the second he understood your familiar insecurity, would completely contrast his tendency to act so rough on people, he would much rather not take that kind of risk.
jisung did not wish to accidentally hurt you, but his expectation exceeds that of the human capability sometimes and he would act on impulse.
“i’m a little rough, sweet cheeks,” he said, running the back of his finger across your cheek and groaning slightly as he imagined how tight your unfucked cunt would feel around him.
holy sins, he could not be able to stop himself, he really wouldn’t.
“if this is your first time then it should be soft,” he added. “and i don’t know how to do that.”
the irony bridged in between the fact that he was saying all those words yet somehow, his finger could only touch you with the most ghostly sensation you have felt before. and you felt for the demon, the fact that he didn’t think he would be good enough in a certain aspect of his nature was relatable on so many levels.
so you reached up to hold his hand, soothing his tense joints over with your weaker ones and pressing him to your cheek, and you told him, “you can always learn.”
hyunjin leaned back on his feet when jisung clenched his jaw before his fingers instinctively gripped at your chin again, the latter’s lust taking over in a whim. from what exactly, he didn’t know; perhaps it was the wetness gathering at your core from his mere touch, or maybe it was the fact that you thought he deserved time and forgiveness for how violent he has always been.
you were yanked forward by jisung without much care, your lips slamming uncomfortably against his as he messily sucked at your bottom lip.
he was going too fast, hyunjin could see from the furrowing of your brows that you were not feeling as good as one should from a first kiss. but jisung was relentless with his teeth grazing, biting and pulling at your lips while he let your whimpers fall on deaf ears, your pushes at his shoulders serving as nothing more than baby punches.
the envy stirred within his chest—he wanted to kiss you too. yet somehow there was a sense of triumph in knowing that you weren’t actually enjoying the kiss being shared. and whether you weren’t reciprocating because you didn’t know how to or because you didn’t want to was the least of his problems.
you just weren’t returning jisung’s kiss, and that was enough to make hyunjin feel so smug.
hyunjin moved forward, slipping a hand between your chests before he pushed jisung away from you with a simple shove. you panted from the loss of impact, your lips stinging from all the biting as tears gathering at the corner of your eyes. you looked shocked, and hyunjin almost laughed; you must have underestimated how rough jisung could actually be, which was a big mistake on your part.
if a demon would rather choose to leave because they didn’t think you could handle them, then you should probably gain a little sense of fear.
“your lips are all swollen, baby doll,” he muttered under his breath as he tilted your head over to look at him. his eyes were vicious and intense, but they weren’t exactly rid of the elegant softness he had always carried himself with either.
a flicker of red passed through his eyes when you whimpered after he pressed his thumb to the bloody mark on your bottom lip, and without much thought to it, he leaned down to your face.
“i’m gonna kiss you, alright?” hyunjin whispered as he stared into your eyes, staring in a way that made you unable to refuse. when you gave him a nod, he flashed you an unnoticeable smirk before he leaned in and pressed his soft lips against yours.
he was much gentler, his mouth moving as a guide to allow you to reciprocate the kiss. his finger tapped your chin, his nail slightly digging into your skin as he inched your face closer and deepened the kiss. you let out a short exhale through your nose, your hands flying up to grip his forearm when his finger trailed down to your neck where he gave the base a teasing squeeze.
jisung watched from the side. the way hyunjin kissed you, the mellow licking and loud smooching, was a complete contrast to his method of desperate and sloppy kissing. but it did not come as a surprise to him, not so much.
hyunjin was the type to give mind-blowing, sensual kisses like this. and jisung suspected people always enjoyed it the way you were, if not more. even if you were unfamiliar with the feeling of him choking your neck, the fluttery feeling of his lips molding against yours was covering all the strangeness up in forms of fireworks and breathy moans.
the blond pulled away from you after a moment, his nose scrunching up slightly at the strong scent of your heat. the wetness was gathering up slowly, if you allowed it then he would finally lay you down and actually start giving you what you should have gotten all these years—to have your body be worshiped, to be told you are pretty, to be given immense pleasure no other human being could provide after he (and maybe jisung) is done with you.
“now, doll, go give jisung a kiss. he’s been looking,” hyunjin urged as he turned your head over to look at the wide-eyed boy. “don’t worry. if he’s rough with you again, i’ll break his bones.”
jisung couldn’t even find the energy to retort, although he did flash hyunjin a very strong glare that soon faded when you finished contemplating and finally crawled your way over to where he sat. you were probably unsure from the previous kiss you two shared, one that was memorable but in the worst way possible. but still, you were keen on giving him a second chance, your capacity for change and forgiveness warming up to him in the form of your palms on his jaw.
hyunjin watched carefully as you pressed your lips to jisung’s, his head tilting for a quick second in an attempt to push towards you but he slowed down his pace eventually.
seeing that you two seemed to have no trouble, hyunjin removed his gaze from your faces and moved to kneel behind your back instead.
you flinched automatically when his hands found your waist, squeezing the flesh around that area. you could have pulled away to look but jisung was luring you to him, his tongue doing wonders in your mouth after you permitted him to dig himself a deeper hole.
hyunjin closed his eyes, feeling the curve of your skin as he roamed his instrument hands around your body—your hips, your tummy, your ribs, and finally your breasts.
a whimper sounded into jisung’s mouth when hyunjin squeezed your breasts. pulling away, your hands removed themselves from his jaw and onto the hands that had landed themselves on your boobs, your fingers tugging at hyunjin’s in an attempt to remove them out of embarrassment. but instead of letting go, hyunjin only massaged the roundness in his hands as he nudged his nose against your neck.
“shh, doll,” he breathed into your ear, his lips brushing past your earlobe before they stopped to whisper, “don’t worry, i won’t hurt you unless you ask me to.”
jisung saw the look he was given and his eyes met with your hazy ones. you were looking at him, completely unaware of the cue that hyunjin gave him as you were too drowned out in the calming sensation blooming in your chest. his eyes continued to move down to hyunjin’s hands and finally settled on your shorts, where he was asked to give his attention to.
jisung moved closer to you, chuckling deeply when your breath hitched in your throat at the way hyunjin pinched your nipples through your shirt. his hands fondled your breasts as his fingers pulled and twisted the sensitive buds, sending electric pulses down your back and causing your shoulders to raise at the sensation.
hyunjin was chuckling with his lips pressed against your neck, a laugh filled with tease and anticipation, one that made you realize he wasn’t really taking you seriously because of how weak you were under his hands when he had barely started doing anything.
your cheeks flushed at his laugh, it reddened, even more, when you found jisung smirking down at you playfully. you couldn’t tell what he was thinking about, or what that smile was for. was it mockery, or did he saw something he liked? it was probably the first one, that made more sense, because what was there to like about you?
breaking your train of thoughts, jisung suddenly turned you around by your shoulders so you would face hyunjin instead. his hands moved down to the hem of your shirt and he quickly pulled it up, your arms raising automatically to let him pull it off of you. your shoulders slumped at the lack of fabric against your skin, the curls of your hair leaving light touches as their fingertips as they fell so prettily over your shoulders and covered only portions of your skin.
hyunjin hummed in satisfaction at the sight of your bare breasts, skin smooth and fleshy as he expected. he clamped a cold hand over it, letting you get used to the feeling before he leaned down and licked a slow strip up from your underboob without breaking eye-contact with you. he stopped at your nipple, taking the bud in his mouth and sucking on it loudly, rolling his saliva all over your skin to get you all wet and aroused.
jisung traced a line down the bone of your back, a lustful breath leaving his lips at the way your muscles tensed when your back arched. he leaned down to start a trail of kisses up from your shoulder blade to the nape of your neck.
his hands that had been firm on the side of your waist to keep you from moving started to roam down to your shorts. it slipped past the waistband slowly, inching closer and closer beneath your panties before he stopped at your clit.
you let out a shameful moan when jisung pressed his finger against the pink spot, his finger rubbing in all directions slowly.
this was new; you have been putting off masturbating for so long simply because you weren’t brave enough to put your own hands down your pants. it was too much of a filthy act for you to do, yet somehow when jisung started to tick you over the edge with his fingers, it felt much more exhilarating than degrading.
“do you want my fingers, baby cheeks?” jisung asked, a hand clamping over your chin and bringing your face closer to his. his grip was firm, but you weren’t as scared of it as you were the first time. he tilted his head to look at you with wide, adorable eyes, his fingers still rubbing hard circles at your clit as he hummed innocently. “you’re very wet, do you know that?”
“no–no,” you managed out, shaking your head and whimpering when hyunjin laughed with his lips attached to your other boob.
you were practically being pulled into two directions, with hyunjin’s arm around your waist and jisung’s hand on your jaw. but despite that, you’ve got no strength and no willpower to stop them from having their way with you.
not only did you know you would not be able to overpower them even if you tried, but they also weren’t exactly lacking in the pleasure factor. they were making you feel good. embarrassed but very, very good, and you just wanted more of the attention.
“mmhmm, you don’t, huh?” jisung said as he reached further down to your heated cunt. “that’s okay, i’ll show you just how wet you are right now.”
with that, he slowly inserted a finger into your heat, eliciting a jerky reaction from your body. hyunjin groaned, holding your waist up when your thighs suddenly gave away as jisung shoved his middle finger in and out of you, giving you a moment of adjustment before he added his ring finger to the mix and earning an even louder moan.
pulling away from your breast because he felt as if the movement could be a little too jerky from the get-go, hyunjin looked up at jisung with not so much a frown, just a questioning gaze. catching his gaze, jisung scoffed with a click of his tongue and rolled his eyes.
“she’s gonna have to take our cocks later anyway, fingering her is literally just child’s play,” he groaned. “now take her fucking shorts off, i can’t do it properly with it restraining my hand!”
hyunjin nodded silently. he reached over and swiftly pulled your shorts down to your knees, freeing jisung’s hand and giving him more space to pull back so he could shove his fingers in full again. you threw your head back at the first full shove, and jisung found the chance to plant a kiss on your cheek, his lips trailing down to your neck as he sped up his movement.
staring with a mindful gaze, hyunjin moved forward and pushed you back against jisung, who moved down and sat on his feet with a confused look.
“keep fingering her, i just wanna see better,” hyunjin muttered as a reply as he got closer to you and grabbed your legs. he stretched them out, pushed them to your chest and spreading them wide in that position. now you sat leaning against jisung, your entire body on full display for him to see.
something about that really knocked your heart out. having your pussy being pounded into and having hyunjin stare at you with his tongue lathering over his lower lip, like he found you hot and attractive or some foreign ideas like that. with your slow mind finally registering the view, your insecurities also spiked up and you quickly slammed your legs shut, making jisung hiss at the clench around his fingers.
“hey, hey, hey. what do you think you’re doing, sweet cheeks?” jisung frowned, his hand stopping inside of you. “hyunjin just said he wanted to see better.”
“i…” you brought your hands up to each other and started pulling nervously at your finger. you didn’t want them to stop this, you just weren’t very sure about the way your body looked.
see, it was different with these two. their tight suit accentuated the frame of their bodies. jisung’s chest was prominent, hyunjin’s waist was slim, and they both had pretty bulgy arms. these two were muscular, tall, lean, and good-looking. and then there was you—the oddball of the trio; it was either too much of this or too little of that, no parts of your body were just enough.
why were these two even doing this anyway? come to think of it, did hyunjin really enjoy your breasts as much as his tongue showed to be, and did jisung really wanted to shove his fingers inside of your like that?
jisung sniffed and his brows furrowed. there was no rejection in your scent, but you smelt of a faded rose, something that used to be vibrant but was now quivering in a colorless fall. you smelt like how he felt some mornings after he was done with a human, and he stayed in the clouds to bask in the loneliness. close to heaven but not nearly close enough to taste the joy.
“there is nothing to see about me,” you quietly said, curling your body into a ball.
jisung had you just at the palm of his hands, but somehow he wasn’t sure what he should do. he looked up at hyunjin, and the boy did not return his gaze. hyunjin looked almost angry, but mind you, it wasn’t directed towards you in any way. it was directed towards the world for not letting you know how beautiful you were, and how he liked you so much more than all the others he’s met before.
the whole world is printed on your body and you don’t even know it.
he moved closer to you after a moment, his hair fell gorgeously over his face as he moved to your eye-level. you leaned back against jisung’s chest when hyunjin leaned forward, his eyes staring ablaze into yours with a reddish glow. before you could say anything about that, he leaned in and captured your lips with a desperate force.
he sucked at your lips, his hands blindly taking a hold of yours and slowly moving it down to the bulge under his pants. you gasped, your hand almost flinching away but hyunjin kept it there, leaving an imprint of his length in your head.
“you feel that, doll? you did that. your sweet scent, your beautiful body, and those lovely sounds you make did this,” he said, pressing your palm harder against his member and hissing at the feeling. then he glanced down at your cunt, finding jisung’s fingers still slug within, and he chuckled. “jisung can’t even let go of you, not to mention the boner he probably popped just seeing your back awhile ago.”
you looked up at him, your eyes wide with gentle droplets coating a glossy look over them. jisung gave hyunjin a glare before he looked down at you. his eyes softened, his free hand moving away from your waist and over to your hand where he cupped over it to give you a somewhat comforting squeeze. playfully knocking your forehead with his chin, he grumbled unwillingly under his breath.
“why, do you want to feel my dick too?” he asked.
you waited for a while, still looking up at him with blinking eyes. and hyunjin give jisung a wave of his hand. “i think she’s waiting for you, idiot.”
“i fucking know that,” jisung retorted as he removed his leg from under his weight and stretched it out so they caged your small frame between him. pulling you back and slightly onto his lap, he helped your grind your ass down on his bulging length, causing you both to release a gasp. he set you down then, his arm going around your waist as he propped his chin on your bare shoulder.
“that was like, ninety-eight percent you, two percent me and zero percent hyunjin,” he said. “just to give you some specifics.”
hyunjin couldn’t utter the string of insulting words he has prepared the second you giggled at what jisung said. he paused, the hair at the back of his neck shivering at the melodic sound that was surprisingly pleasant to hear. it was just as good those musical moans you let out a while ago, and oh, wasn’t that weird for him to feel.
smelling that you were feeling better about yourself, jisung started to move his fingers again, the weight on his chest falling off with gentle relief. you leaned back against him with an exhale then, your hand curling around the wrist of his moving hand. he was moving at a slower pace, wanting you to enjoy the bliss instead of going at a pace that urges you to come undone on his fingers.
“do you think you can open yourself for us now, sweet cheeks?” jisung whispered to you, then he snickered. “or at least hyunjin? he hasn’t gotten any action.”
“i kissed her better than you did,” hyunjin muttered with a roll of his eyes. he got down to your face level and placed his hands on your knees, testing the waters before he slowly parted them for you with a smile. “right? i did kiss you better than jisung did, huh?”
you pursed your lips, and seeing hyunjin’s smirk, jisung kind of knew what your answer was going to be. therefore, instead of letting you say it, he simply jammed a third finger into your heat so instead of speaking, all you did was moan out loud and clench around his fingers.
“fuck, you’re so tight, baby,” he huffed out, pressing his arm down on your body so your ass meets his bulge.
“okay, time’s up for you,” hyunjin, who felt slightly neglected at the side, pulled jisungs hand away from you and tugged at your arm to get up. when you whined at the loss of penetration, hyunjin only groaned in dismay. “please, you won’t even remember how his fingers feel after i’m done with you.”
jisung stood up with furrowed brows, casually sucking the juices off his fingers as he watched hyunjin ushered you to your bed before he pushed you down. he knelt on the floor and grabbed your ankles, pulling you to the edge where he was. you gave a little squeal when he threw you legs over his shoulders and his hot breath finally fanned at your entrance.
jisung chuckled when he saw you struggle in trying to close your legs, and he approached you at the side of the bed.
“don’t fight it,” jisung mumbled with a pat to your head. “don’t worry, hyunjin won’t hurt you.”
you sighed hopelessly at him, shaking your head. “but that’s my vagi–oh my god!”
hyunjin shushed you up by licking a long stipe up your slit without a warning. your toes curled as he continued, his tongue moving up your slit and connecting at your clit before he sucked at the bud hard. your lips flapped when he flipped his tongue across your cunt, not quite poking into your hole but just enough to give you a sense of pleasure of him possibly burying his entire tongue inside.
you were grabbing at nothing, your mouth opened as whimpers and moans spilled out like a mantra. it was such a strange sensation to feel a tongue down at that private part, but like all that these two incubuses have made you feel, it was a strangeness in the best way possible. a tingly, refreshing feeling, like butterflies exploding into fireworks in your stomach, like being electrocuted but in a fluttery way; it made you senseless in the sanest way possible.
jisung watched your squirm under hyunjin’s tongue, your mouth agape and your hands struggling to find something to latch onto by pulling across your blanket. he was frowning in dismay, almost mad that the three-letter word kept leaving your lips.
oh my god, oh my god; god this, god that—ugh. his hand flew to your face, a place you came to realize he really liked to grab, and he forced you to look at his blood-red eyes.
“it’s not very nice to yell for someone else when we’re here, sweet cheeks,” he huffed out near your face, his free hand reaching down to unbuckle his belt and get rid of his pants. “no amount of gods can make you feel as nice as we can.”
hyunjin hummed out a laugh, the vibration coursing through your veins and making you whine with your cheeks squished in jisung’s hand. pulling away from your cunt, hyunjin looked up at jisung with a playful smile, his tongue flicking out to lick away the liquid that dripped across his lips before he spoke, “you mean me, jisung. you’re not really doing anything.”
“you’ve been down there for, what, a whole minute now? and she still hasn’t cum yet,” jisung hummed as he pulled a face at the blond-haired boy. “and she’s already super sensitive. i wonder if that’s your inadequacy talking or–“
jisung grinned as he tightened his grip on your cheeks, feeling your muscles tightened when you let out a silent scream after hyunjin threw him a glare and quickly dove back down to poke his tongue into your tight hole. the back of your legs slammed against hyunjin at the impact, unconsciously shoving him closer to you, making the boy grunt at the feeling.
the loud and wet slurps were undeniably turning jisung on more and more, and it didn’t help that your moans were so damn loud as well. his member felt stuffed under his boxers, yearning to spring free from its confines and itching to be covered. he peered down at you with a hint of disdain in his eyes, your mouth ajar and looking awfully inviting.
you felt the loss of grip on your chin suddenly and your eyes shifted from the ceiling to jisung. you were trying really hard to pay attention to his movements, but hyunjin was making you see white with his tongue gliding against your warm walls and his nails digging into your inner-thighs. the sounds he was making were filthy, even dirtier when you realized he couldn’t possibly be obnoxiously slurping your juices up if you weren’t so submissive to his mouth.
“open up, sweet cheeks.”
jisung’s voice gained your attention quickly. you hadn’t fully regained your senses yet but you listened to his words first and turned to your side, opening your mouth for him. a thickness inserted itself to your mouth and your eyes widened in the realization that jisung has got his boxers removed. not only that, he’s got his cock stuffed between your lips, his tip brushing against the flesh of your inner-cheek.
big. was all you could think of. it was like you eating a spoonful of food after underestimating the portion and now all you could do was keep your mouth open until he was done with you.
he hissed at the feeling of your lips wrapping around his shaft. you were unable to bob your head properly, he knew, so he took it upon himself to thrust into your mouth. while that alone was arousing enough, jisung wanted more, something more than just him fucking into your mouth. looking down at you, he pressed his thumb against your cheek where his tip protruded before he grabbed the back of your head and yanked you closer to him.
you let out a muffled squeal, he sighed; that was what he wanted, just a little more stimulation.
“you gotta suck me, baby. use your damn mouth,” he said, continuing to thrust into you as his hand moved from your hair to the side of your face, his palm pressing against your cheek to pin your head to the mattress. he gently leaned his weight on his arm, his cock feeling you groan at the pressure and he grumbled slowly in pleasure.
too much. you didn’t know where your sanity begins and where it ended, really. hyunjin was still lapping at your cunt, his mouth occasionally finding the sensitive nerves and stimulating it with a hard suck. and you never knew it would feel nice to have something plopped right in your mouth like this, having your throat be brushed up against by the bitter taste of jisung’s precum as he relentlessly shoved himself into your mouth.
but the tightening pit in your stomach was gathering excessively and you felt the overwhelming need to release, to let go of it and stop straining yourself. maybe that was everything it all ended, at the surprisingly pleasant feeling all bundled up in your abdomen that hyunjin was playing a big part in coaxing you into letting go of.
“she’s close, hyunjin,” jisung grunted, feeling your teeth grazing against his shaft as you moaned around him, your hand moving to grip his wrist for support.
hyunjin knew. your legs were getting twitchier by the second and he could practically smell it from where his face was positioned at. he hummed into your core, removing one hand from your thigh and bringing two fingers into your heat while he focused on sucking and biting at your clit.
“ah–fuck,” jisung bit his lower lip when you gagged out a cry, your tongue swiping across his skin and your cheeks hollowing accidentally when you tried to breathe air into your lungs. it was all the things to push him over the edge; admittedly, he has definitely gotten better blowjobs than this before. you were awfully sloppy if anything and not in a good way.
but he liked that you sucked at it. he liked that your whimpers sounded helpless, he liked that even the smallest amount of throat action was enough to make you gag, he fucking loved that you are so damn oblivious to all that is about sex. if hyunjin wasn’t here, he really would have lost control and had his way with you since the beginning. bet he could fuck you real good like he said he would earlier, just stuffing his cock inside of you while he slammed you on any surface he could find.
“shit!” a throaty moan left jisung’s lips when you tried to pull yourself away after hyunjin poked at a certain spot inside your heat, causing you to release all over his face. he had instinctively brought his hands down to the back of your head to keep your in place, feeling your body shudder and your quick intakes of breath stimulating his dick.
hyunjin stood up from the ground, his slender finger wiping the corner of his lips where your essence stained under the glittery light. he smacked his lips, tasting last bit of your sweetness on his tongue before he raised a brow as jisung emptied down your throat, splashing his cum all over your tongue and making your cough.
jisung shifted inside you a few times to get himself comfortable, to relish in the high he just experienced before he pulled out of you, his chest heaving with sweat dripping down his forehead.
hyunjin pushed past him and knelt in front of you. you looked tired, which was a shame because they were most definitely not done with you yet, but your weak expression made his heart jump slightly with an urge to comfort.
so he let his hand move up to wipe away the tears that rolled down your eyes before it trailed down to your lips. he pressed it open, admiring the gooey whiteness slumping down your tongue and mixing with your saliva. there was quite a lot it felt almost laughable, as if jisung hasn’t orgasmed in ages and it took a virgin’s mouth to get him to spill everything.
he shut your mouth with an arch of his brows. then he whispered, “swallow it down, doll.”
you sniffed with a nod, your eyes shutting as you forced the sticky liquid down your throat. hyunjin let out a satisfied hum at the sight of your throat bobbing, he slowly rubbed your lips with his thumb before he praised quietly, “good girl.”
then he turned around to look at jisung, his eyes a complete contrast to his hand that rubbed soft circles on your temple. “that’s a heavy load, jisung,” he mused.
“yeah, why? you want some?” jisung said, moving closer to the edge of the bed where he leaned down closer to you. he exhaled quietly as his hand found your hair, he brushed gently at first before subtly grabbing a fistful of it and pulling at your scalp. “her mouth just feels exceptionally good, i’m surprised.”
“she tastes delicious as well, just in case you want to know.”
“i know, i fingered her.”
“do you two not like each other?”
the both of them turned to you, surprised that you made any sound other than the muffled ‘mmffs’ and ‘ahhs.’ you were curled up into a ball, looking up at them while still getting your head massaged softly by hyunjin. you seemed much more energetic now, albeit still trembling from your previous orgasm, which, congratulations, was your first one ever.
“none of us like each other,” jisung scoffed, letting go of your hair but not before he subtly soothed it down first. “but us two especially don’t like each other.”
“oh…” you hummed, moving your head up even higher to watch him with curious eyes. “why?”
jisung flicked his fingers against each other, his nail digging into the fleshy tip before sliding away. what the fuck was that? what the fuck did you just do? nothing, you did nothing! all you did was look up at him, genuine sparks in your eyes and a soft little question escaping your lips—no, jisung would not be thinking about it again.
hyunjin laughed at your curiosity, and he eyed you softly when you furrowed your brows at his laughter. “that is a thousand years worth of history you don’t want to dive into, doll,” he replied, running this thumb across your eyes before he sat up straighter with a low hum. “now, let’s get back on track, shall we? i believe i’ve prepped you enough, you should be able to take me.”
“she can, either way, her cunt is just gonna be tight as hell,” jisung rolled his eyes as hyunjin busied himself with fumbling with his pants.
“don’t worry, i’ll fuck her loose before i let you go in,” hyunjin retorted mindlessly as he finally slipped off his last piece of clothing. his cock sprung out, hitting against the fabric of his white shirt. he followed your wide eyes, smirking as he leaned a leg against the edge of the bed while his hand moved to guide his tip towards your face.
you opened your mouth instinctively, feeling him push himself inside and groaning at the feeling. jisung wasn’t wrong, your warm mouth did feel exceptionally nice. perhaps it was his fondness for you talking but whether he was biased in his ranking for a good blowjob didn’t quite matter.
he pulled out of you before he could lose control of himself, and he finally got onto your bed. with his hands around your torso, he hoisted you up and pulled you onto his lap.
you shivered when his tip poked against your entrance and you grabbed onto the base of his neck to steady yourself. were you scared? yes. even just then when you saw his size, you weren’t sure if his length was going to fit at all. but were you also eager to see how it would feel? definitely.
this was what you have always wanted, after all, and to have it all handed to you on a silver plate by these two was really more than you deserved to ask for.
“hey, look at me, doll,” hyunjin ran a finger against your jaw, catching your attention. “tell me and i’ll stop, okay?”
your shivery eyes glanced back into his sure ones, and for an unknown reason, you felt yourself calm you. hyunjin was holding you like no one has ever held you before, his touches delicate as ever and his skin warm as the sun. he was soft, tender, peaceful against everything his identity stands for. and you felt your heart beat slow down at his breath.
for the first time, you leaned in and kissed him first, your fingers tightening around his neck. hyunjin took that as a cue for him to continued, so he did. he eased you onto his cock, poking at your entrance and slipping himself in by pushing you down. everything went still for a millisecond before you gasped, the pain of the stretch spiking up your senses and causing you to squeal.
jisung bit his lower lip at the tears that quickly flowed down your cheeks, the ones hyunjin was kissing away as he muttered reassuring words into your ears. suppose there was one thing he admired about this blond boy was his capacity for self-control.
your aroma was stronger than ever before, your submissive moans and whimpers were loud and enticing, and hyunjin’s back muscles were tensing around the fabric of his tight shirt, indicating that it was taking him a mighty effort to slide himself fully into you because your virgin walls were tensing up with each inch, squeezing him harshly.
jisung would have shoved himself all in by this point. how hyunjin managed to be so patient and wait for you to settle on him was annoyingly admirable.
but hyunjin wasn’t doing so well himself. as jisung suspected, your walls were giving him the tensest squeeze he has experienced recently. he couldn’t even remember the last time anybody was able to clench around his cock like this even after he’s made you all wet and leaky. and you were crying his name right next to his ears, your breasts pressed up against his shirt, one he regretted not taking off earlier, as you hugged him close.
fuck, you gotta stop clenching around him! your hole made him revert to being like a damn virgin himself. he felt like he would explode within thirty seconds of pounding up into you at this rate.
“can i move–ugh, please,” hyunjin grunted, his nails digging into your hips as he pressed his forehead against your shoulder. “fuck, please let me move, please. i need to fuck you.”
jisung felt his dick twitch at hyunjin’s pleads. it was pathetically hot because hyunjin had all the power to just fuck your little cunt raw but he chose not to, and now he was torturing himself by having to wait for your response. he loved hearing hyunjin in pain, and the way the demon was begging you to give him permission made him wonder just how good it felt to be engulfed by you.
was it good enough for someone with so much authority like him to beg for it?
“you–you can move, hyunjin–ahh!”
you yelped as hyunjin growled under his breath. he turned you to the side, slamming your back against the mattress before he quickly rolled his hips into yours. he bit his lower lip, trying so damn hard not to let the immense clench of your hole get to his head as he mercilessly sunk himself into your warm, delicious cunt.
shit, hyunjin wasn’t even sure if he felt glad that he was the first one to experience your sweet pussy or get disappointed at the fact that no one was smart enough to snatch you first because god—yes, he was lost in your warmth enough to think about that fucking woman—those useless humans are missing out on something absolutely god-sent.
“fuck, you’re so damn tight!” he huffed out, almost in annoyance that he was losing his cool. and his hand moved to grab a hold of your throat, roughly squeezing the air out of your lungs for the first time.
you gagged, the moans and groans being choked out of your pretty little lips. and jisung laughed.
your pussy was good enough, far too good it seemed. you’ve got soft demon hyunjin going rough on someone for once, you sweet baby cheeks.
the middle of your legs felt sore. the pain was melting away, shunted off to the back of your mind as the sensitive pleasure kicked in. and then you could feel everything—his fingers around your neck, the hair on your back brushing against the cotton mattress, your legs bent and squeezing his waist, his shaft fucking into your slippery hole. you were choking and moaning, tears dripping out of your dazed eyes and your chest heaving rapidly for air.
“hyu–hyunjin–“ you couldn’t even say his name properly anymore, he could barely hear your voice. and something about that made him so insane, he let out a strangled noise as he gripped your neck even tighter, feeling heat gathering at the base.
you wanted air, but you also wanted him to squeeze harder. the squelching sound of your cunt gradually getting more permanent as hyunjin picked up his pace even more, his eyes growing a loud shade of red when you clawed at his wrist after he hit your sweet spot. it was like pumping a balloon then, the more he rutted into you the bigger it gets until it finally burst with a final pop.
you came undone around him, your eyes shutting as your head was thrown back against your mattress. hyunjin pinned his hand on your body, not letting you squirm around as you pleased when you came around his cock. he waited until his own knot was released, lathering your walls up with his cum as he cursed and moaned in blissful abandon.
you coughed quickly when he loosened his grip, your hands flying up to cover your eyes as you cried and shivered at the intensity, feeling hyunjin’s semen coating your insides with a steamy feeling.
jisung eyed hyunjin, unsure about what he should do with you. he knew hyunjin probably wasn’t quite done with you yet, and honestly, neither was he. seeing the way hyunjin acted just now, how was he supposed to let you go without putting his cock inside you first?
“move,” he muttered as he pushed hyunjin back and leaned down to your fragile body. he placed his arms around your back and held you up, feeling you whimper at the movement. he slipped underneath you, placing your legs over his thighs and setting you down on his hardened member slightly to test the waters.
you flinched, but not away from him. it was just the aftermath of a second orgasm, which you were absolutely unfamiliar with. hell, you barely handled the first one well. jisung kissed your neck, leaving a loving trail across your shoulders before going up to your jaw.
“you did great, sweet cheeks, you did really good,” he whispered, holding you close to his chest before he looked up at hyunjin with a pointed glare. “right, hyunjin?”
the blond scoffed.
shit, was jisung being soft without guidance?
hell has been turned upside down and it took one vulnerable human and her even more sensitive pussy to do it.
moving forward to you, hyunjin nudged his nose against yours softly before he kissed you. he felt relief rush over his chest when you returned it slowly, still trying to find your voice as he licked the tears off your dry lips. when he pulled away, he touched your face with profound delicacy.
“are you okay, doll?” he asked.
you nodded, your hands moving to jisung’s arm and squeezing it. you turned around to briefly look at him, and you sniffed before you spoke, “i–i can… i can take you too, jisung. i don’t really… want to leave you with nothing.”
jisung stared at you, his cheeks jutting out with a purse of his lips. he wanted to kiss you, strangely. his instincts were telling him to kiss you, but with more affection than he knew how to show. at this point, if he doesn’t leave with an orgasm then he’d leave with an unfamiliar sensation in his chest, a swirly, floaty, featherlight warmth.
something he couldn’t describe very well but he knew he wasn’t opposed to it.
you closed your eyes when jisung leaned in to capture your lips. you could feel him lift your leg with one hand while his other arm released you and went down to position himself at your slick entrance. you felt excitement rush up your brain when he slapped his shaft against your slit before he lowered you onto him.
it was much easier for him to bottom out, and you took him to the hilt with a soft whimper this time. he was big, as you expected and experienced from when he’s got his cock up in your mouth. and you couldn’t really try and compare his with hyunjin’s, all you knew was that they both had you on the edge of sanity. the second jisung started to thrust up into you, you were gone.
he rolled his hips up while bringing you down on him, controlling each thrust where you could only moan and wait for the next poke at your g-spot. jisung was slower, not that you were complaining much when he was doing all the work for you. all you were doing was clench around his shaft, sucking him into your pussy and rubbing your walls all over him.
jisung breathed out groans with each scrap of friction. you felt good, warm and loud with both your and hyunjin’s cum, and he fucking loved the fact that he was fucking the cum right back into your hole with each snap, keeping your insides so filled and full you’d feel empty after you wash everything back out.
as he sucked colors on your shoulder, he couldn’t help but glance up at hyunjin. he smirked—oh, if only he could see his own glare right now. the way hyunjin was glaring at the hickeys being marked on your skin was immaculate and it made jisung feel so damn fucking smug, it was all he could think about.
hyunjin was envious, he marked you first, you were his first, and he’s fucking you when he did it. it really could not get better than this. god, what did he ever do to deserve this, what did he ever do to deserve your angelic form rubbing all up on him?
jisung suddenly sat up, pulling you out of him before he pressed your body down to the mattress, his hand harsh against the back of your head. your legs were weak, he knew, so he went around your tummy to hoist your ass up before he slid himself back into you easily.
you moaned against your blanket, feeling the cotton against your tongue when jisung finally picked up his pace and your walls were clamping down on his shaft again.
it was much easier to hit your spot now, you were an obnoxious, loud mess.
grabbing a fistful of your hair, jisung yanked your head up so you faced hyunjin. he looked up then, eyeing down at your head before he stared back up at hyunjin, his eyes permanently red from the way his tip brushed against your love spot.
“use her mouth, it’s great.” he pointed out with a soft laugh.
hyunjin scooted forward and grabbed your chin in his hand. jisung let go of you, his hand moving down to collect yours before he pinned them to your back, pulling at it when he wanted to. hyunjin squished your cheeks together to force your mouth open before he put his cock past your lips, an immediate groan leaving his lips at the way your voice vibrated around his hot flesh.
you couldn’t hold yourself up, it was all them. all you were doing was staying still and let the boys have it their way, and really, you weren’t complaining much about it. it felt great. hyunjin’s moans were harmonic, jisung’s cock was heavenly, and mixing the two together basically sent you off to utopia.
your darling, breakable self couldn’t take much longer, it felt.
jisung could feel your cunt squeezing and quivering, and hyunjin had a sense from the way you could barely suck at his shaft that you were nearing your third edge for the night. so jisung let himself loose and started pounding into you from behind. he pressed his face to your back, kissing the skin and feeling his cock twitch inside of your cunt when you gagged around hyunjin in a choked scream, your walls hugging around him and spilling yourself all over him.
jisung sighed against your bareback, his eyes squeezing tight as he breathed out little jittery moans here and there. he couldn’t help himself anymore, his sloppy movements into your tight little hole kicking against the pleasure knot in his abdomen before he soon had to fuck his cum back into your cunt as well, lathering your slit up with a dirty shade of white and allowing some of them to drip down your thighs.
hyunjin pulled away with a pop of your lips, finding amusement in the fact that you knew to swallow him whole without needing to be told to do so. you and jisung slumped onto the bed then, his arms unconsciously bringing you against his body as you two panted together. hyunjin stared at you both before he got off the bed and went to your desk. he pulled out two pieces of tissue before heading back to your bed.
he laid down next to you, his hand careful as they cleaned up the cum on your thighs and wiped down your pussy. jisung was running his finger softly along your skin, luring you to sleep with the ghostly touches. when the two met eyes with each other, there seemed to be a mutual understanding—they were taking care of you, and incubuses never take care of humans after they’re done.
“thank you for making me feel so nice,” you mumbled after a moment of silence, burying your head further into jisung’s chest as your eyelids tried not to drop down. “i really appreciate it.”
there it was, one of the many reasons why they felt the need to clean you up after they’re done with you. their vulnerability didn’t come from thin air, you pulled it out of them, smacked their dusty, sinful soul right out of their ribcage and they landed in the palm of your hands. it all happened before they even knew it, from all the smallest things like the way you spoke to them and the way you looked at them.
jisung bit his inner cheek, but he wasn’t able to contain the faint smile that crept up his cheek. he brought you closer to him, hugging you to lure you to sleep. but you looked up before you did, turning around to furrow your brows at hyunjin, who raised a questioning at you when you held out your hand to him.
“what, doll?” hyunjin asked, throwing the tissue away before he leaned against the edge of your bed.
“come, come sleep,” you said, waiting for him. “please?”
“you can just hug jisung,” he muttered.
“oh, please? i want you too,” you said, shaking your hand at him as jisung buried his face to your chest, playfully biting your breast and making you giggle. “i’ll hold your hand, i promise.”
softness, compassion, forgiveness—all the foreign traits of affection, unfamiliar but desired, are no longer foreign when they laid next to you.
hyunjin grabbed your hand, your soft and delicate hands, and he laid down next to you where he positioned himself close. his head leaned against yours and his arm slipped under your waist just next to jisung’s.
you held his hand for the whole night until he let go.
you jolted awake in the morning, your eyes wide and your warm blanket covering your naked body. somehow it felt like you slept for far too long, longer than you have the time to rest for. looking around, you found yourself stuck in an empty room with a warm breeze blowing in from the window and your pajamas folded neatly at the corner of your bed.
and, well, jisung and hyunjin has gone from your side.
your heart dropped. was that it? you gave away your first time and they left in the morning. as your disheartened gaze fell on your bed, you caught sight of a small slip of paper on top of your folded shirt. curiously, you reached out and grabbed it, leaning back against your pillow as you read the words written on top.
we had to report back to hell so we’ll see you later, sweet cheeks.
p.s. make sure to only summon me next time. you know my name.
“you left a note when i was busy tidying up her room?” hyunjin huffed as he shoved jisung to the side.
“yeah, why? scared she’ll take my advice and only call me up next time?” jisung teased, rolling his eyes and dodging another hit from hyunjin.
“i’m going back. it’d be suspicious if we’re gone for too long,” hyunjin said, pursing his lips and looking back at your apartment building. his heart softened at the sight of you through the window, your eyes gentle as you stared at the piece of paper in your hand.
and all he could think about was for you to call them back, back into your little room, back into your arms, back to your lips.
“cool, i have something to do,” jisung said.
hyunjin furrowed. “like what? no one is calling you this early in the morning.”
“no, just a few names i found on her phone at night when you were sleeping like a pig and she was snuggling against me,” jisung said. “her classmates, i think, the ones who made her summon lucifer. asked her if she died yet.”
hyunjin’s eyes flickered red—it wasn’t lust.
jisung smiled. he had been like that when he read those messages as well.
“you can feel free to join me in a little unfortunate fun,” jisung said.
the blond’s eyes sparked red again, and it was not lust nor anger this time. he smiled.
it was sin.

Period Cravings
BG: Periods can be a pain. Food cravings are usually the easiest to handle. But with Hogwarts under curfew and not willing risk it all for the blood quill what could you do? Looks like someone had go above and beyond to help.
A/N: Why did I decide to write something about food in the middle of the night, it’s like I wanted to make myself crave on purpose!
This is an entry to @blisfvll ‘s 1.5 celebration writing challenge! With the following prompts:
14. “I swear to God I’ll punch you.” “You can’t even reach my shoulder.”
15. “I don’t know if I wanna kill you or kiss you.”

>>JOIN MY WRITING CHALLENGE!<<
You don’t normally get period cramps you are very thankful for, but of course when it does come, it hurts like hell. Luckily Madam Pomfrey has a supply of menstrual pain-relieving potions available for those in need. Which you had taken after dinner. Although now sitting in front the common room fire, you had another problem. Cravings. Which magic unlikely could not fix. Oh what you would do for a plate of a hot chocolate lava cake topped with cold vanilla ice cream! A glance to the clock- 9:55 pm- had killed whatever small hope of getting that sweet treat from the kitchens. It was almost curfew.
The last of the students were arriving back, deflated like always after Umbridge had become High Inquisitor and held Hogwarts with an iron grip.
‘If you keep making that face y/n, your brows are gonna be permanently sewn together.’ Fred remarked.
Which only made you scowled further.
‘Sorry Sorry!’ Fred raised his arms in surrender. ‘I bet you would still look cute even when your face ultimately stays mad.’
Did he just called you cute?- Well no exactly but also could he be? You thought but before your brain could process if his teasing had something behind it, your body reacted first. Next thing you know, you had hit his arm.
‘Ouch woman! You hit hard!’
‘Well these chaser arms do pay off even outside of quidditch.’ You knew Fred only tried to cheer you up. He always does, when he sees you down or anyone for that matter and would crack jokes to brighten the day.
Placing your hand on his arm as to lessen the pain you begin, ‘I’m sorry. You were just trying to make me feel better and I released all this crap onto you.’
‘Heyyy heyy it’s okay.’ Fred said, pulling you for an embrace, ‘Take it out on me all you want, I can take it. Anything for you.’
Breaking away he continues, ‘What’s got you bitter anyway?’ Genuine concern in his eyes.
You looked away. ‘Ahh it’s so stupid- It’s nothing really.’
‘I am Fred fucking Weasley, I do stupid things all the time. Try me.’
‘I want a hot plate of lava cake with ice cream.’
‘Say what now?’ Fred stated, a bit confused.
‘I would die for some lava cake and ice cream right now.’ You stated with a deadpanned face.
‘This craving is driving me insane!’ You explained. ‘Normally I would just sneak out to the kitchens but now with the threat of getting my hand scarred with the blood quill, it is a no go. No way am I risking that just for a period craving. I wouldn’t even wish the blood quill to a bully.’
‘yeah yeh….’ Fred mumbled, lost in his own thought.
Waving a hand in front of his face ‘Freddie are you even lis—’
Fred abruptly stood up. ‘I—I got to go y/n. I forgot something in the—’ Running out of the common room, the rest of his sentence cut off by the closing of the door.
~
An hour later, right before you were getting ready for bed. Your roommate had come in giggling, ‘Y/n! Good you’re still up. Fred is downstairs waiting for you by the way.’
Waiting for me? What could this boy be up to now??
But you nod anyway. ‘Thanks y/f/n. I’ll be right down.’ You put on your fluffy slippers and make your way down to the common room.
You first caught sight of Fred pacing, making your way closer to the communal study tables you then saw it. ‘WHAT THE-‘you exclaimed.
‘Surprise!’ Fred said with handing presenting the table full of desserts- Chocolate frogs, cauldron cakes, hot butterbeer and the showstopper plate of a hot chocolate lava cake topped with cold vanilla ice cream!
‘As you can see, I have also added a couple more stuff, which I noticed Ginny and Mum eat during you know the time of the month, been told that those help ease the pain and cravings. And Ohh! I also have these…’ Fred handed you more stuff from the chair. ‘Heating pads and a couple of potions from Madam Pomfrey- though she was a bit annoyed and worried that I asked her for them so close to curfew…and’ His cheeks blushed. ‘after all that she calmed down cause she said that I was being the most caring boyfriend and knew that we would make a great couple…’ Fred chuckled nervously.
Seeing that you haven’t said anything, yet he continued hoping to salvage anything after that boyfriend/girlfriend comment, ‘apparently quite a number of teachers are shipping us together, some even have bets!’ He tried to sound nonchalant but failed. ‘Can you believe?’
Alternating from him, the food on the table and the heating pad and potions in your hand. You brain is going a hundred miles an hour.
On one hand, this is just wow, never had you felt so taken cared of before- and securely this surpasses best friend territory, right? Fred had gone above and beyond. This was some boyfriend material stuff right here. But what if you’re just overthinking and reading too between the lines y/n? What if you just want to see what you want to see. But your thoughts keep going back to the boyfriend quality worry, the going above and beyond. And he did mention that relationship comment right? He didn’t seem to take offence at the idea….
On the other hand, your own worry had taken over. What he had done for you was so risky, he could have been caught. If he had he would have suffered and have scars on his hand, all because of you and you could live with that. How could he be so reckless? – Wait why are you even still saying this to yourself…
You broke off your internal monologue. ‘WHAT THE FUCK FRED?!??? YES FREDDIE THIS IS ALL SO SWEET AND I REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT BUT WHAT IF YOU HAD BEEN CAUGHT?? YOU WOULD HAVE SUFFERED AND BE PUNISHED BY THE BLOOD QUILL!! HOW COULD YOU BE SO RECKLESS?!?’ Your anger from worry had slowed now, you looked up to him with soft eyes. ‘You did this all for me. If something bad had happen to you, it would because of me, and I don’t think I could live with that Freddie.’
Fred had always been able to see through you, and to see you so anxious for his safety warms his heart. He tucks the hair that had fallen out during you rant. ‘But you see love, I wasn’t caught. Reckless- Yes. But caught? Nope. Maybe I should try that again….to test my skills.’ He teased.
You glared at him. ‘You. Will. Not. Or else, I swear to God I’ll punch you.’
‘You can’t even reach my shoulder.’ Fred resorted. ‘You know… you are so cute when you’re frustrated.’
‘Ughh!’ Rolling your eyes. ‘I don’t know if I wanna kill you or kiss you.’
‘Rather kiss me more, I hope.’ He smirked. Then got serious., he held your waist. ‘But I wanna do it properly and take you out on a date first.’
You brought your hands up to the nape of his neck and started to play with his hair. ‘Well then let’s us consider this as our first date!’

you’re the one that i want (part 19)
word count: 6k
angst, fluff (tw: mentions of abuse)
(part 18) (series masterlist)
“either forget about everything for good this time or be with each other again.”
the words had rung in your head for the rest of the night, plopping down on your bed without even a second look from your parents as you thought over tomorrow's inevitable discussion with seonghwa.
you can convince yourself now that you don't wanna be with him after everything he's put you through, that the summer with him isn't worth it and maybe too much has happened now to revive it.
but truth be told, it doesn't even matter what you think to yourself right now.
because the second you see him, you know everything will crack the way it always does. your composure and will to resist him when you truthfully just miss his presence.
his real presence.
his smile and his deep chuckle and the gentle way he'd hold and tease you. the boy that you know is in there somewhere, have even seen glimpses of in the way he looks at you, which is what makes this so hard.
because then if you forgive him that easily, it’s almost gonna excuse his behavior. make him think that he can continue to hide you away and keep you as someone he loves in the shadows. that this whole time, his behavior was okay and not that big of a deal.
but at the same time, you wanna be with him. you want to hold his hand and go on dates here and just be with him the way you were months ago. fall asleep to his hand stroking your hair and have him laugh at you when your cheeks flame in embarrassment.
you wanna feel him under you and kiss him until your lips are red and sore and your legs are shaking. you wanna feel loved and safe again because you haven’t since you’ve returned home that miserable day in august.
these thoughts keep you up well into the morning, contemplating your life while the dull ache in your wrist and searing bump on your head serve as a reminder of maybe why tomorrow could go so wrong.
cause yes, you love him and wanna forgive him but you also can’t help but see the irony in it all. he sees that you were hurt and now wants to step in meanwhile he’s been the one emotionally killing you since you first saw him again.
what makes this any different? because it’s physical? because it’s not him making you cry? because now he feels bad that you’re in obvious turmoil? your head’s starting to pound now, getting more and more worked up and confused as the night sky vanishes.
you think you sleep for maybe 45 minutes before your alarm starts blaring, rolling over in bed with a tiny groan as your temples ache.
you wince when you push yourself up and feel pain shoot through your wrist, rubbing at the red slightly swollen skin. you’re grateful for the cold fall weather coming in so it’ll be in no way suspicious when you wear a long-sleeved sweater that falls passed your hands.
the walk to school is almost unbearable, your eyes nearly shutting and feet shuffling tiredly as you grow more and more desperate to sit down; you won’t be surprised in the slightest if you pass out right on your homeroom desk.
though that’d be quite challenging you soon discover, given the loud commotion of wooyoung and the other boys behind you.
“i just don’t know why you’re such a fuckin’ weirdo about it. everyone knows you and san used to be best friends, no one is saying that-”
“yeah, we used to be friends and we’re not anymore. so what the fuck’s your point?”
the conversation immediately grabs your attention, perking your head up even with the exhaustion wracking through you because this isn’t gonna end well; you already feel it inside you.
“shiit, why are you getting so defensive,” yeosang asks, throwing his hands up as his friend all but attacks him; he just off handedly mentioned he saw him and san talking at the party and got met with curses and growls.
“because we dropped him. why even mention the little fuck?”
“why talk to him at the party?” yeosang counters, his eyebrow raised at the way wooyoung grows more and more defensive. “and why attack me now when i’m just asking you a question?”
“why bring up the little pussy when i didn’t even talk to him? you know he tries to harass the shit out of me but i-”
“shut up.”
you can’t even stop yourself from blurting the words out, turning around boldly and seeing all of them looking at you in surprise - minus seonghwa, who hadn’t arrived yet. the dark haired boy laughs upon seeing you face him, making a show of looking side to side like he’s trying to figure out who exactly you’re addressing.
“baby girl, i know you’re not talking to me,” wooyoung laughs out, his eyes wide and brow raised.
“baby boy, who else would i be talking to?”
mingi and yeosang snort at your uncharacteristic snark, both of them sitting back and watching in amusement because maybe that’s why seonghwa likes you so much. submissive most of the time but with just enough spunk and sassiness to be impressed by.
“even if you’re not friends with him anymore, you shouldn’t talk badly about him,” you continue, trying your best to stay even and calm. “he doesn’t talk badly about you, even though he very well could.”
wooyoung’s demeanor doesn’t change but you see something cross his eyes, worry or panic at the thought that you might know something more about him and the boy’s relationship. that you’re about to expose it right in front of his friends and blow up his spot.
but apparently his need to look cool outweighs his fears, something that seems to be a common theme with these teenage boys. his body leans in closer, his eyes peeking up at you with amusement.
“he could? and why’s that? because i ignore him?”
your eyes narrow at his sarcasm and you lick at your lips, cocking your head to the side because if he wants to be mean, you’ll be mean back. what do you have to lose at this point?
you’re already bruised and sore and anticipating an emotional breakdown today. why not risk getting hurt or berated, why does it all really matter anymore?
“because you act one way with him alone and then another in front of your friends.”
“ahh and that’s something you’re quite familiar with, right?” wooyoung counters, the shit eating grin and condescending tone you just know was solely meant to hurt you; and even though it stings, you’re able to shake it off and nod your head.
"yeah, that’s right,” you say as you nod your head.
but then you lean in closer and drop your voice, the bags under your eyes catching wooyoung’s attention before your words make him freeze.
“but i also know you’re quite familiar with summer romances, just like me. so what was that like?”
you can feel the air shift at the word romance, wooyoung stiffening and letting out a sharp exhale as he places his hand on the back of your chair.
“you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about,” wooyoung growls, his eyes narrowed at you.
“oh no?” you hum, the patronizing tone of your voice so unfamiliar you almost don’t recognize yourself. but you’re just so done with today and it barely even stared.
you’re so done with people hurting you and the people you care about because they’re overly concerned about what others think. that they can’t let their guards down and spare their ‘cool’ image for a person they claim to care about.
“no,” wooyoung snaps, his voice low and deep and intimidating. but you’re so completely unfazed, he’s almost unnerved by it.
“the same way i don’t know that you did talk to him at that party? because you really hurt him, wooyoung,” you tell him lowly, the boy feeling his stomach sink as he thinks back to his drunken rant to the blonde that night of the party.
he really has been treating him unfairly, and he knows it too.
san just wants for them to be friends; not even friends, merely acquaintances, so they don’t have to keep hanging out secretly at night or on weekends. he’s told him a hundred times how it makes him feel like they’re doing something wrong and isn’t truly wanted by him, even though they both know that isn’t the case at all.
but when all of his friends decided to stop hanging out with san, he didn’t wanna be dropped too. he didn’t wanna lose them for good because he knew him and san would never stop being friends. he knew both of them would never be able to stay away from each other and they’d be brought back together in a few weeks time.
he needed san but he also needed them. he needed people to ground him and keep him level headed. because san just completely consumes him and turns him into a different person, someone weak and vulnerable and someone he doesn’t wanna be.
that’s why when the blonde had quietly suggested to start hanging out together at lunch with you and him that night, his voice soft and sweet and tugging at wooyoung’s heart, his first reaction was a loud “do you really think we could do that?”
but then when san let out a scoff and shook his head, pushing past him with a dejected, “i guess not,” he pulled the boy back and gave him all the usual excuses he knows aren’t fair and aren’t gonna work much longer.
he held him a bit too tight and a bit too long and a bit too close to be considered friendly, the same way all of their touches have been since the summer that still remains his favorite.
“that’s between me and him so i don’t see why you’re saying this shit right now, y/n. you’re in no position to-”
“san’s my friend and you’re hurting him because you’re the pussy here. so maybe you should grow a pair and stop making the boy you lo-”
and it’s when you’re about to say love that he slams his hand on the table before shooting out of his seat.
seonghwa comes in just as the loud commotion starts, his eyes immediately falling to wooyoung who pulls at your wrist and growls at you to come with him.
but he can only hear your loud strangled yelp and immediately sees red, already growing angry at the way wooyoung was hovering over you. but then once that pained noise left you and his friend’s hands were you, he couldn’t stop the way he rushed over and roughly pushed the boy back on the desk.
seonghwa stood between you and him, everything about his stance protective and alert, with wooyoung flat out on the desk behind him as his eyes burned into him.
the clattering of desks and scuffles of feet immediately cause nosy heads to shoot around and stare, a few gasps leaving their mouths as mingi and yeosang mumble a few curses and jump up.
but it’s like seonghwa doesn’t even notice anything, his eyes only on wooyoung as he tugs the boy up by his shirt; none of his friends have ever seen him look this mad before, jaw clenched and eyes hard as he tightens in his hold on him.
“are you fucking crazy, wooyoung?”
“am i crazy? you’re the one choking me!”
“if i’m choking you, then why the fuck are you still talking?” he growls lowly, tightening his hold on the boy’s collar.
you tug on seonghwa’s shirt but he only continues to look down at wooyoung, the boy fighting against his friend’s hold and deeply mumbled threats as he tells him to get off him.
it’s not until mingi and yeosang push seonghwa back that he feels his shirt being pulled, turning around to see you shaking your head at him.
“it’s fine,” you say softly, eyes brimming with tears because your wrist is absolutely fucking killing you now. seonghwa immediately looks down at your arm and you thank god it’s hidden in your shirt, the boy walking around the desk to kneel beside you.
“let me see.”
“it’s fine, i’m fine,” you say quickly, blinking away the tears as you shake your head and give him a small smile. “he just scared me.”
“y/n, if you lie to me one more fucking time this week, i’m gonna-”
“he didn’t do it.”
his eyes widen at your admission and you don’t realize what you’ve implied until you see the look on his face, a defeated sigh leaving you because this is so not the way you wanted this conversation to go today. you’re exhausted and in pain and in front of far too many people to deal with this right now.
the clacking of heels sends relief through your body, the mess of desks and students staring at the back of the room causing the teacher’s eyebrow to raise.
“good morning to you all too, thank you, i’m doing well,” she says sarcastically, her eyes roaming the back of the room. her gaze lands on wooyoung’s crumpled shirt and seonghwa leaning down in front of you, a quiet hum leaving her mouth before she asks if everything is okay.
“fine, teach, seonghwa was just being his crazy self,” wooyoung says teasingly, a wide smile on his otherwise pissed off face. “did you know him and y/n are friends?”
you press your lips together so you don’t scream, just hearing the smirk on his face as seonghwa lets out a low scoff. you move your body away from him and sit straight ahead, putting your head down and letting out a few calming breaths so you don’t succumb to the many different sensations attempting to render you unconscious.
you knew this day was gonna be a disaster but you certainly didn’t expect it to start this early. you hear seonghwa say you’re gonna talk about it later and can only let out a sigh, knowing there’s gonna be a lot of things you’ll talk about later.
things you didn’t think you were ever gonna tell anyone but will be the first step in healing you. things that will make the storm that’s been brewing between you two peak before months of resisting and suppressed feelings finally catch up to the both of you.
by the middle of your shift at the cafe, you’re almost positive you’re dead on your feet.
san was concerned the second he saw you walk into the lunch room, your face pale and eyes sunken with dark circles that made him actually gasp upon seeing you. and he watched as they only got worse throughout the day, right now genuinely fearing for your health.
“y/n, it’s dead today. just go home, please.”
but you only shake your head as you take your spot on the counter, pushing down the feeling of knowing he’s absolutely right.
because just as school let out, dark stormy clouds rolled in and it hasn’t stopped raining ever since; it seemed to perfectly fit the mood of today, dark and dreary with an underlying feeling of fear.
“i’m fine, san, i don’t wanna go home.”
the blonde let out a sigh at your stubbornness, making his way over to you as he stood between your legs. he took your face in his hands and the gentle feeling alone almost makes your eyes grow heavy, him twisting your head side to side before grimacing at your dark circles.
“babe....you look like shit.”
“thanks,” you breathe out, not even having the energy to roll your eyes or let out a scornful laugh. so san can only let out groan, squeezing your face gently even though he just wants to shake you in frustration before the ding of the oven pulls him away.
your eyes move to clock on the wall to see it’s barely 5:30, a pout on your face as you lean your head back and shut your eyes. they feel like a thousand pounds and the pain in your wrist hasn’t simmered, the immense need to just lay down and sleep forever overwhelming.
but you won’t leave san alone today and you don’t wanna go home. you don’t wanna face that house in this state because you know you’ll get snippy and it’s only gonna end badly for you.
the sound of the door causes your eyes to flutter open, your eyes adjusting to the lights before it’s like a shot of energy zips through you.
the tall figure is in a big black hoodie but you just know it’s covering up dirty blonde hair. the boy makes his way to you and raises his head, the familiar eyes you’ve come to love and hate watching you sit there looking lifeless and pale.
“where’s san?”
“in the back,” you answer quietly. “what do you want? your chocolate vanilla-”
“i want you to come with me. we agreed to talk.”
your eyebrows pull together at his bossy tone, the serious look on his face making it seem very unlikely you’re getting out of this. but that’s just too bad because you refuse to leave early, that’s not fair and you can’t just-
“hey, seonghwa.”
san walks over and it’s like they can instantly see the concern in each other’s eyes, seonghwa looking from you to him before san simply shrugs his shoulders.
“what time’s her shift over?”
“why are you asking him when i’m right here,” you grumble, seonghwa’s lips twitching like he wants to smirk at your sassiness. san bites his lip as he looks at you, very well knowing that you need to get out of here and get some rest.
but is going with seonghwa the right choice? he knows that can easily turn into another emotionally draining fight. last week this wouldn’t have been a problem for him, he would’ve easily told his ex-friend to fuck off and that you were working till close.
but he could tell since yesterday that something was very off.
seonghwa’s concerned gaze and strange comments about your injuries, the way you looked so small and defenseless when he talked to you outside. this was different than seonghwa feeling possessive and wanting to claim you as his. there was a different kind of look in his eye - protective and concerned and almost fearful.
he lets out a sigh, giving the taller boy a look that screams ‘don’t fuck this up’ before he opens his mouth to say “right now.”
your neck snaps over to the blonde and you narrow your eyes at him as you shake your head. “no it’s not. i work till close today, what the hell san.”
“you look awful, y/n, please,” he begs softly, making his way over to you with a sad smile on his face. “everything’s under control here and if you pass out and crack your head open on the floor i just mopped, i’m gonna be really annoyed.”
seonghwa’s eyes narrow while you let out the closest thing you can to a laugh, rolling your eyes as you jump down from the counter. “i’m fine, i’m not gonna pass out,” you say, attempting to take the desserts from his hand. “so i’m gonna stay until closing and-”
the second you curl your wrist to bring the tray into you, you hiss in pain through your teeth and nearly drop the fresh cookies if san hadn’t caught them immediately. his eyes stare down at you with an intensity you’ve never seen before, his head shaking as he places the tray on the counter behind him.
he unties the apron around your neck while looking down at your hand in confusion. “did something happen to your wrist?”
you press your lips together so you don’t blurt something out again, looking over at seonghwa who’s jaw is tight and eyes are burning; he’s trying to be patient but fuck are you making it impossible right now. especially when you’re so obviously in pain and upset and trying to ignore everything the way you’ve both been for far too long.
“y/n, c’mon,” he breaths lowly, everything about his tone warning and dark.
“no,” you snap, looking over to see him watching you carefully. his tongue pokes the inside of his cheek before he shakes his head and shrugs. you feel your heart drop to your stomach when he, like he absolutely belongs there, walks behind the counter and pulls the hand attached to your uninjured wrist.
“seonghwa, if you manhandle me, i’m gonna-”
“what? what are you gonna do?” he growls lowly in your ear, tightening his hold on your hand. “i’ve had enough of this shit, y/n.” he’s had enough of him being a coward and you being sad, he’s had enough of the back and forth and hearing you cry and fight with him.
he’s had enough of knowing that you’re being hurt by him and other people in your life and he’s not about to watch it happen any longer. so with that, he drags you outside to his car and helps you up into the familiar passenger seat.
“you are such an asshole,” you snap, all the anger and rage and sadness in your body hitting you like a brick. “all because you’ve finally had enough, you think you can drag me out of work and-”
“baby, please,” he begs lowly, his head dipped into the car so he’s only inches away from your face and not getting pelted with rain. “i know something’s wrong and it’s killing me. it’s been fucking killing me and i’m trying here, okay? i just...i don’t know what to do.”
you’re thrown off by the desperation in his deep tone, his eyes begging and pleading with you to listen to him. to please, just one last time, listen to him and remember that he promised he was gonna be here for you. that he promised if you ever needed him, you had him.
“it doesn’t matter,” you whine, the chaos of emotions inside you giving you whiplash. you shake your head as tears prick your eyes, tears of sadness and frustration and anger and pain. “it doesn’t even matter so just stop. you don’t have to do anything because it doesn’t matter.”
but because that could’t be further from the truth, he shakes his head and slams the door before making his way to the drivers seat.
san can only watch from the window as the car pulls away, his head in his hands as he lets out a sigh. he hopes that was the right decision, he hopes he didn’t just make things a hundred times worse for you.
but then it appears, twenty minutes later, when the door of the cafe opens, your absence might be making things worse for him. because his eyes shoot up and he meets the gaze of the person he least wanted to see today, especially given the last time they saw each other.
“what are you doing here, wooyoung?”
“what am i doing here?” you whisper, safely assuming he just kidnapped you and brought you straight to his house.
you pull up to the unfamiliar bungalow as you sit inside seonghwa’s car, the memories from the first time you were in here already breaking you down.
you were reminded of them the second he slammed the door, the smell and the dark leather and the little air freshener hanging from the mirror; the only thing different about it was that the doors were on now.
“this is cool,” you tell him with a smile. he smirks watching your arm whip through the air, his deep voice mumbling “careful,” when a car in the other lane speeds past.
“i didn’t know you drove, i only ever saw you with your surfboard,” you tease with a smile, giggling when he rolls his eyes and looks at you.
“that’s interesting since someone’s taken it over,” he says, chuckling when you reach out and smack his arm lightly.
“you’re the one who said i shouldn’t get one,” you whined, the pout on your face catching his eye as he sends a soft smile your way.
seonghwa licks over his lips, turning off the car before facing you.
you hadn’t said a word to him during the ten minute drive, resting your head back on the seat as you played with your fingers. he just wanted to reach over and take your hand in his, soothingly run his thumb over you to ease your obvious anxiety.
“i just wanna talk, baby.”
“and we can’t do it another day?” you ask, wanting so desperately to fight him but feeling yourself crack. you’ve been dealing with this for too long, keeping this secret and pain inside for too long and with the way he’s looking at you, you won’t be able to hold it off any longer.
“no,” he says quietly, firmly, with a sense of finality as he turns off the car and gets out the drivers side. you sigh as you watch him make his way to you, opening the door and helping you down before guiding you into his house.
no one appears to be home and it’s sparsely decorated, the white walls bare as you walk past the living area and up the stairs in defeat. seonghwa’s room is shockingly similar to the room at his mom’s, neat and orderly with a white comforter you almost can’t believe is in a teenage boy’s room.
you watch from the doorway as he plops down on his bed, his head in his hands as he runs it through his hair; the brighter tones of blonde have faded a bit from lack of the summer sun but he’s still so handsome.
he still makes your heart flutter and stomach flip after all of this, remembering how in the beginning, you could barely look at him without blushing.
but things aren’t like that anymore.
things haven’t been carefree and fun and sweet for a while, the innocence that came with the summer morphing into something serious and heart wrenching. something that put you guys to the test to see if everything that had had happened was real and you failed.
you love him and he loves you but you both still managed to fail.
the thought brings tears to your heavy eyes, biting down on your lip as you try to blink them away. he looks up and sees you standing there, eyes full of tears and a broken expression that causes him to reach his arm out to you.
“come here.”
“no,” you say, shaking your head as your lower lip starts to wobble.
you can’t do this. how are you supposed to do this? finally tell someone what’s been happening to you for years, nevertheless someone who’s also been hurting you; granted in a different way but he still hurt you.
he still abandoned you when you needed him, when he said he was gonna be there for you and help you through whatever you needed; and now, months later, you’re supposed to trust him with this?
“baby, i need to know.”
you swallow the lump in your throat as your stomach starts to knot, shaking your head again as you meet his gaze. but the softness and concern in them proves to be too much, biting your lip as you finally move from the doorway.
you walk past his bed and to the corner where a desk is, silently walking around and taking in his room. you’re not surprised by the lack of photos or decor, a computer resting on the desk with a lamp beside it.
and it’s like everything seems to have a place here. the computer, the mouse, the lamp, the small cup of pencils on the side, the-
“so you did get something,” is all he says, looking up to see a shy look on your pink face. you choke out a laugh as you nod your head, “sneaky, right?”
a chuckle leaves his mouth as he nods his head, looking over the turtle’s smiling face and he hates how overpriced this probably was.
but he can’t bring himself to say anything negative, not with how you look like a mix of being proud but also on the verge of a nervous breakdown. “wasn’t necessary,” he mumbles, shaking his head but keeping the turtle tight in his hold anyway.
“it was, i-i wanted to,” you tell him, “especially since you were nice enough to-”
“y/n! who’s your handsome friend! does he wanna stay for dinner?”
and it seems like the stupidest thing to make the tears finally break but it does just the trick. because one second you’re standing up and looking at his desk and then the next, your face is in your hands and you’re sobbing over a $20 figurine of a surfing turtle.
it’s just placed right there on his desk but it’s the only sign of decor in this room that doesn’t have a purpose. like it’s the only thing he possessed that had meaning and was a gift from someone, the only thing that meant enough for him to showcase and keep as a memory.
your heart feels like it’s breaking and healing at the same time over this stupid fucking turtle that you don’t even hear him get up until you feel his arms around your waist, his head leaned down to press a kiss against your shoulder and hum lowly against your skin.
“i didn’t tell you at the time but i thought you were so fucking cute,” you hear him say, a humorless laugh leaving him as he listens to you cry and remembers that night so well. “i was pissed you wasted your money on it but you were so god damn nervous to give me a little turtle that i couldn’t say anything.”
you lick at your lips as look at your floor as you shake your head, your exhausted body wracking with quiet cries and sobs before he can’t take it anymore. before he turns you around and brings you into his chest, wraps his arms around you tightly and shushes you against your head.
you try to push him away at first but he only tightens his hold, his voice low and shaky as he begs you to stop crying. kisses the side of her head and apologies for how many times you’ve cried within these past few months, how many times he’s made you cry.
“and i’m sorry i wasn’t there for you the way i promised,” he says quietly, your face pressed into his chest as you feel your tears soak his shirt. “but i will now, baby. the whole fucking time. you just need to tell me what happened.”
“what’s so different now?” you ask weakly, pulling back from him as you wipe at your teary, wet face. “what the fuck is so different now that this time you’re telling the truth?”
his adams apple bobs before he lets out an exhale, his hands softly cupping your face to wipe at your tears. “because someone’s hurting you, y/n. someone’s been hurting you this whole time and no one’s doing anything about it.”
“you’ve been hurting me too,” you remind him, tears leaking from your eyes as you look him dead in the face. ”you were supposed to help me. you-you said were gonna.”
and for the first time since you’ve met him, you watch as his eyes well up with tears.
“i know,” he says, “i’ve been fucking stupid and i’m sorry. but i love you, baby, i do. i just...it killed me leaving you. i drove away from your aunt’s house and cried for the first time since i was kid. that scared the fucking shit out of me, y/n, and then i saw you again and i couldn’t....”
he shakes his head because nothing is gonna make what he did sound okay.
he was stupid and selfish and acted like an idiotic teenage boy who didn’t wanna be called whipped or a pussy. he thought he was guarding himself from others while also sparing you both: you from himself and him from being vulnerable.
but every shred of vulnerability and emotion came to him the second he told he loved you, something that through all of this was always the truth.
“nothing i say is gonna make it okay and i know that. but please. let me help you now,” he says softly, his hand wiping at the tear on your cheek before moving to the bump on your head.
you wince when he touches the sore skin before his other hand gently moves to your arm, lifting up your sweater and feeling rage rip through his chest when he sees it’s swollen and bruised.
and seeing that is what causes him to completely lose it now, pulling you into him again before burying his face in the crook of your neck.
you only feel a few stray tears of his hit your neck but it doesn’t stop you from crying too. hearing his quiet pleas to tell him what happened, to please tell him and that no one’s ever gonna hurt you again.
not him or anyone else.
he brings you to sit down on the bed, your tear-stained face mirroring his and you’d wanna laugh at this situation if it wasn’t so heavy. if both your hearts weren’t so heavy and you didn’t feel like you were about to pass out.
but seonghwa held your hand the whole time, just sat there and breathed with you until you finally uttered “my parents.” and it’s like just those two simple words set off something inside you, tears blurring your vision as you tell him about the morning this happened and many other mornings and nights similar.
about your dad’s drinking and mom’s pills and the way they’ll gang up on you. how a lot of the times it’s usually verbally but when they do get physical, it always leaves marks. the words make seonghwa growl or tense every time you mention it, his eyes watching you talk so carefully it would intimidate you if it was anyone else.
“why didn’t you tell me?” he asks, trying so hard to keep the anger out of his voice as he remembers that day in the summer so well. when he saw your parents and saw the change in you and felt something heavy settle into his chest. “i asked you, baby, i asked if you were safe at home and-”
he can’t even finish the sentence because he doesn’t wanna make it sound like he’s blaming you but fuck. he never would’ve let you leave your aunt’s house if you told him you weren’t. he’s even blaming himself right now because he did think there was the slightest chance you were unsafe there and still let you go.
“i was scared,” you tell him honestly, voice shaky and quiet because if you’d never met him, you probably wouldn’t have told anyone what was happening. would’ve lived out the next two years before never seeing them again and commending yourself for getting through it alone.
“i-i didn’t wanna bother anyone by telling them that and have them pity me. my aunt would probably let me stay with her and i didn’t... i don’t wanna burden her like that.”
his arm tightens around you as he brings you closer to him, your head on his chest as you finally allow yourself to completely melt into him. it’s still such a familiar feeling, the way your body calms against his and you inhale his scent.
“you aren’t a burden to anyone, she would want to help you, baby,” he hums against your head. he can’t help but the think back to his conversation with her the night before you left, when he straight up asked her about this very scenario.
it makes his stomach sink even more now, the whole situation shitty and eerie and making him feel incredibly guilty.
“you’re not going back there.”
and usually those words would have you jump up with wide eyes, ask where you’re supposed to go and how you’re gonna deal with these consequences. but at this very moment, your eyes are heavy and he’s so warm and close and you just wanna succumb to your exhaustion.
because it also feels as if some weight was lifted.
not completely, because you still know there’s a lot to deal with, but at least you said the words. at least someone finally knows you aren’t just a clumsy idiot who walks into cabinets and walls.
you can only hum into his chest as you bury your face further, your eyes heavy before they shut completely. he looks down and smiles sadly when he moves a piece of your hair, his thumb reaching out to swipe the dark circle under your eye.
“i love you and i’m sorry,” he says lowly, your eyes fluttering open to see him looking down at you. you smile at the softness in his once teary eyes, resting your arm around his waist before placing your head back on his chest.
“i’m gonna help you, okay? i won’t stop until you’re safe.” help you the way he knows he should’ve been this whole time, made you feel safe and loved the way he said he would this whole time.
“safe now,” you mumble tiredly, your eyes growing more and more heavy before you finally succumb to your exhaustion.
he watches you sleep for the next few hours, unable to look away in fear that you’re gonna disappear. he’s been wracking his brain about what to do the whole time, an occasional whine or twitch from you causing him to hum lowly and stroke your hair.
he managed to maneuver the both of you under the blanket, your body curled into his before you rolled over in your sleep and rested your head on his pillow.
he stretches his numb arms out and sighs heavily, grateful for the text from his dad that he’d be working late tonight; he knows the man wouldn’t care about you staying over but he still wants this time just with you, even if you’re sleeping.
your phone vibrating on his desk causes him to walk over quietly, seeing three messages from san and a missed call from your dad. it takes everything in him not to call back and curse the man out, tension all over his body as he thinks about how badly he wants to beat the shit out of him.
but knowing that wouldn’t fix anything, at least for tonight, he closes out of your dad’s contact and looks for your aunts, pressing a kiss to your head before sneaking out of his room; the phone only rings four times before he hears the familiar chipper voice.
“y/n, my girl! how are you?”
“it’s seonghwa,” he says and it’s like immediately, something in her knows something’s wrong. whether it be her intuition that failed you or the tone of the boy’s voice, she listens with tears in her eyes as seonghwa tells her they have to get you away from your parents.

Dabi's Decision (Warning spoilers!)
To start off again, spoilers for bnha so don't read if you don't wanna be spoiled for future anime/manga stuff
Oml I'm literally CRYING over this Dabi reveal rewrite I was thinking about recently
The Shoto Family Crisis is something that really hits home for me as I have personaly experience dealing with those type of people (cough cough ENDEAVOR COUGH)
But first I gotta talk about whats actually happening before my idea
But as much respect as I had for Dabi as a villain character and even for the first few moments as Todoroki's brother, from what I have seen from a translation of the reveal here on tumblr I was really disappointed. Like yes It could just have been the translation since i haven't seen all of the offical thing, but I getthe feeling thats not the case.
All that respect for Dabi goes away when he made his argument. He basically said "Dad was mean to me so I killed off a bunch of random innocent people who have done me no wrong for no good reason but LOOK *points at endeavor* he drove me to this. He made me do it."
Like somebody near him is gonna comedically slap him and say "Bad endeavor! >:cc"
This isn't to downplay Touya's trauma, it was real and probably the harshest since he was the first experiment and also considered the first failure. He ended up so ghosted that his own family thought he was dead.
But when he hurts other innocent people for his own goals JUST like his father did, not only is he ending up just like him, he is playing right into his hands. Endeavor wants someone to surpass him, someone to pass down his legacy of strength and ruthlessness, however it happens. Actually its quite the norm for toxic people to try and pass on their behaviors, try to clone themselves on the next generation.
Even with endeavors supposed redemption arc, the effects his decisions have on the past don't change, as this event was supposed to help solidify.
Honestly its the worst way to get back at Endeavour and you just end up being just like the abuser. Why is it such a common trope that "if I was abused by someone, Let me go do the same thing to someone else who literally has never tried to hurt me in my life?" Notice how they never target the abuser, they just seek to abuse someone else, thus continuing the cycle. The stupidest part of Touya's argument is that he is trying to make it seem like its endeavor who made him choose these actions.
But thats the thing. It was STILL Touya's choice to make. And yeah it sucks, often times an abuser will use this fact to their advantage, but when it comes down to it, Touya made the choice to do wrong. It's not like endeavor said "Yo kill these 5 people with your fire power to prove your worth or I burn your skull yeah?"
He made the choice to hurt multiple people who had hope and a future like he once did.
He made a choice that led to him becomong the next abuser, and becoming as delusional as the person who abused him.
But lets say things go different from how its currently going down in the Manga. Here'ss my idea: where it takes place I could care less but lets use the same place the canon did, the theater
But imagine Dabi reveals himself to Endeavor, the crowd and Todoroki and reveals who he is, Touya. He then goes on to revealing Endeavors little experiment and how he used all his family just to live out his dream of surpassing the symbol of peace and having someone stronger than him so he could live vicariously through him.
Dabi goes on to explain as he was considered "a failure" he was cast aside and ghosted, and left distant from his other siblings Endeavour didn't want to be effected by Touya the failure.
Dabi explains how he knew no-one would listen or care about some kids who were being used and no-one would dare challenge or try to smear the reputation of the second greatest hero, so Endeavor was basically untouchable. So Dabi devised a plan
Dabi explains that by becoming a villain, he was able to train unhindered by rules and regulations that hold heroes back and the keep them from exercising their power to the fullest. He explains how he only used his flames to burn those deserving (actual crooks, slavers, other abusers maybe, looking at you overhaul) and how by having less concern for his own well being he could push past his limits.
Even though his Flesh itself burned his power grew until now it was something that could rival/surpass allmight's. Dabi then displays immense amount of power for the world to see, nearly burning up an entire mountain or something to ash. And he eas able to do this all with just 1 quirk. FIRE. For a failure he managed to do the one thing Endeavor always wanted. Be stronger than Almight, and he did it with just.FIRE.
He mocks endeavor. Look at you. Always wanted to ve number 1 but never could. Even now you are stuck in second place in your own heart. But Look now, your failure has achieved your dream. Maybe if you had shown the world the villain you showed your family you could have been number one.
"Look! Gaze upon your Son! See as the Fire chars my very Flesh!?This is it! THIS IS WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED! GAZE UPON THE WORLDS NUMBER 1!"
now that in itself is a heartbreaker and would be were maybe another fic writer would stop, but oh no, ya'll still got tears to cry so get ready
Todoroki is in shock now the only words he can make out is "Touya..."
And thats when Touya turns his attention to Todoroki "ahh...my dear Todoroki."
Touya then goes on to explain how this plan he devised was not for himself, but rather, for Todoroki and the rest of his family. He wanted the world to see endeavor for who he was and what he is, so that hopefully, his siblings could have a better future.
Touya goes on about how proud he is of Todoroki for showing how strong he was and that even though he came from people constantly making wrong decisions, he could make a right decision. Even going so far as to reject his own flames at one point.
Touya then goes into a heartfelt speech, and Tells Todoroki
"Listen. I could never tell you to join me or go down the road I took. I would never do that. The Path I took was to build the bridge to Your better tomorrow. I want you to be the best hero you can be."
"I don't want you to be the next symbol of peace or the next Allmight. I want you to live for yourself, be what you WANT to be. Because even though he may have robbed me of my future, your future is something he can never have. "
Omg 😢😭😭😭
Touya you deserved so much moreee
But thats the point.
He did, they all did. And thats what this version of Touya was trying to tell the world. Nobody knows how hard it was, the pain and suffering it took. The stress of Todoroki's body to only reject a quirk probably heavily tied to his emotions and half his whole body, but also the stress it caused from not using it, his father breathing on his neck at every waking moment trying to force him to use it.
And thats just the tip of the iceberg. Getting misinterpreted because he's so focused on defeating the real evil in his life.
Man Todoroki gets so shorthanded in both life and in writing by the author it hurts my soul. I know he has so much potential but he gets dragged down or down played by every little things, especially he who shall not be nam- BAKUGO ITS BAKUGO GAHHH
Ahem. I think I was overtaken for a single moment. Pardon me~☆
But nah none of this toddler "he made me do itttt." Angwy points 3:<
And none of that "Oh Todoroki you have forsaken meeee."
Like for real if anybody aughta know endeavor probably made up some crap lie about him Touya should, thats all that man do, I already KNOW.
And before anybody says you're being too hard on them this is why nobody wants to do redemption
Its called redemption for a reason, first off it ain't supposed to be easy befitting the cause. Second, fake or flakey redemption is the pitts and there is too much of it being sugarcoated and presented on a Platter thank youuu
Only gonna throw one more jab in here but
The Author literally told us how horrible Bakugo is by showing us he had to have amnesia and not receive one for all from the movie or he woulda kept it. They coulda had him give it back to deku, even if it was just an ego thing for him and I, who have not had a reason to respect him in the whole series, would have actually respected that and taken it as a clear sign of change.
But no. Amnesia cop out cowabunga it was.
Okay I think I got this outta my system thanks everyone.

Ahh, so many plans for gifs, and so little time... I mean, time that I actually spend giffing, instead of thinking every gifset over before forgetting about it and picking up another one.
What’s for certain is that I want to finish few more prompts for Spn Women Challenge Month, despite I’m running a bit late, but who cares, and episode edits for 4th season of 13 reasons why.
And I kinda liked how that gifset with Geralt Being Officially Done turned out, so I will certainly make Geralt Being Officially Done with Yennefer and with Jaskier versions.
Also, I’ve an idea: I wanna try making all Spn Episodes in pastels, but I’m horrible at pastels, and in case you didn’t notice horribly lazy, I’ve drafts for earlier series of works I’ve started to do, and I’ve not even touched any of them after a couple of edits.
No, I haven’t given up anything, I will eventually finish, but it may take a year.
So, any suggestions about what I should make, or what you’d love to see, including requests, are appreciated, because you’re dealing with an indecisive dumbass who wants to do everything, but thanks to it can’t settle on one choice.

Second part to this.
Snug as a Snom was a warm, homely cafe, that seemed almost completely empty for what would soon be the beginning of the lunch rush. Katla let Kabu do the talking to the owner, who only spared a mildly interested glance to the young woman. She gestured for them to sit in a booth that was tucked away, well out of sight from the main cafe floor and windows.
Katla sat down first, scooting along the seat towards the wall and wriggling out of her coat. Kabu sat opposite her, shrugging out of his bench coat. As he did, however, his scarf suddenly wriggled, opening its eyes.
“A Sizzlipede?” She exclaimed, as the little bug uncurled from the gym leader’s neck, scuttling down his chest.
“I find that few scarves compare to the warmth of a Sizzlipede.” Kabu smiled, petting the creature as it wandered onto the table. “That reminds me. How is your own Sizzlipede coming along? I haven’t seen it in any of your gym matches.”
“Oh, she’s coming along fine.” Katla smiled, silently glad that their argument had briefly been forgotten. She traced her fingers along her belt until she felt the tell-tale criss-cross of a Net ball. She tugged it free, and released the Pokemon within onto the floor beside them.
Kabu’s eyes widened, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
“Ahh, she’s evolved into a fine Centiskorch,” he said, the no-longer petite bug Pokemon swinging her large head around to look adoringly at her trainer.
“Yes.” Katla smiled. “She’s become a key staple of my team, actually. Now she’s my first choice if I need a fire or bug type.” She reached out to pet Centiskorch, rubbing her flat head, tracing the markings there with her fingers.
“Skorrr...” The Pokemon rumbled, leaning into her touch.
“You’ve certainly bonded tightly to one another.” Kabu commented, eyeing the Sizzlipede peering curiously up at its bigger counterpart.
“Yeah.” Katla nodded. “I love her very much.”
“Korr!” Centiskorch cried, before she scuttled forward, head dipping down as she tried to clamber onto Katla’s lap.
“Oh no no honey!” Katla pushed the Pokemon back down. “Not right now! There’s not enough room for you up here.”
“Centi...” The Pokemon looked up at her trainer with the most pathetic expression it could pull, her fiery antennae drooping.
“I know sweety. We can have cuddles when we get back.” The trainer sighed, running a hand over the Pokemon’s head. “I’ve gotta talk to Kabu about something important, okay?”
Centiskorch looked sadly up at her, but returned to her Pokeball without complaint. Katla looked back to see Kabu returning the Sizzlipede to its ball too, his good humour gone.
An awkward silence hung between them, broken briefly by the waitress serving their drinks. Katla stared at her cup of tea, willing the words to come and half-wishing she’d brought Hop along as back-up.
“I presume we are here to discuss the contents of my letter.” Kabu spoke, mercifully rescuing them.
“Yeah.” Katla nodded. Let’s cut to the chase. “Kabu...About what you said about me throwing the matches...”
He winced, eyebrows briefly knotting.
“Ah, yes. I’m sorry, Katla, I should never have insinuated that you were doing anything of the sort. It was incredibly insulting to both you and your opponents,” he said.
“You shouldn’t apologise for everything you said about it.” Katla spoke slowly. Kabu’s silver eyes immediately snapped to hers, their stare boring into her. “I never deliberately threw or sabotaged my matches. But, after our fight...I thought about it. It was the first time I’ve ever done that, really.”
She folded her arms, resting them on the table, unable to meet his gaze.
“I might not have been consciously performing badly, but I...I can’t guarantee that I was at my best, that I was pulling out all the stops. Like when I’d start losing I’d just...go through the motions, let it happen. Lose in the middle of an Elite Four challenge, that’d be it. I wouldn’t try again, I’d just walk away for good, pretend it never happened.”
She sighed.
“I don’t know for sure, but...you might have been right. I might have been scared of becoming the Champion again that I never pushed myself, never really...tried, with my heart and soul and everything behind me.” Katla closed her eyes for a moment. “Maybe...Maybe that’s what happened with Diantha, in Kalos. I was fighting the champion, doing well...perhaps the thought I might finally be doing this spooked me, and she just...Well, she’s the champion, and as soon as I let up on the pressure she took advantage and then...” The trainer shrugged, pulling herself upright again.
“So yeah. I think you had a good point, actually, and I don’t want you to apologise for it.” She managed to drag her gaze up to meet Kabu’s. “You’re the first person who’s ever really...pinned me down on it. I reacted badly to it all, and I’m sorry. I know you just wanted to help me. You didn’t deserve what you got.”
Kabu’s face was a mask, even his eyes unreadable. The silence between them stretched out for a while before he spoke again.
“Thank you for your honesty, Katla,” he said, his tone and gaze softening. “Are you planning to continue with the Gym Challenge?”
“Yeah.” She nodded. “I owe it to myself, and to Hop.” A wry smile pulled at the corner of her lips. “I promised him I’d wouldn’t go easy on him in the Semifinals. He was worried I was going to let up so I wouldn’t have to face Leon.”
One of Kabu’s eyebrows quirked up.
“Ah, so your secret has been revealed.”
“Yeah. I wanted to tell him sooner, but...things got in the way, so I told him now.” She glanced down, managing a smile. “He was really understanding, actually. He’s...He’s a really great friend, more than I deserve. For his sake, I gotta do my best. He deserves nothing less.”
“And of Leon...?”
“I...” Katla hesitated. “I don’t know.” She glanced down at her drink. “I doubt I’ll beat him, but there’s that ‘what if’ in the back of my mind. I mean, in my last League I actually got to the Champion, and I did well. It’s possible I could do so again, maybe even...”
Kabu titled his head, his expression kind.
“You’re still worried about becoming Champion again.”
She nodded.
“Yeah. It’s still in back of my mind. But...it’s been so long. I was eleven when I became Champ the first time. It’s been fifteen years, and I’ve grown up a lot. Had more experiences. I might...I might be ready for it now.”
There was the soft hiss of clothing as Kabu leaned forwards, resting his hands mere inches from her own.
“Perhaps.” He spoke. “But Katla, I want you to know, that if you become the Champion, you will not be left alone. All of the Gym leaders, including myself, will be here to support you, as will Leon. He would not leave anyone to take his place without standing by them to let them gain their footing. And even then, he would be ready to aid you in any means necessary. As we all would. As...I would.”
She glanced up at him, noticing that despite his calm expression, Kabu seemed unsure.
“Whatever happens, I will be here for you,” he said quietly. “Whether you become Champion or not, I will support you. I would do anything in my power to help you.”
Unbidden, she recalled his words from the letter, and what he had uttered in the flustered exchange in Hammerlocke, when she’d been too hurt and angry to register them. “You are one of the finest trainers I have known, Katla. I care about you, and I don’t want you and your potential to be squandered. I want the best for you, whatever that may be.”
Her heart quickened its rhythm as she considered her next move.
“Kabu?”
“Yes?”
A deep breath.
“You...you said in your letter that you care for me, and that you...admire me, right?”
“Yes, I did.” Kabu’s face was inscrutable, but he was completely, utterly focused on her.
“Well,” Katla licked her lips, trying to get the words right, “I think...I think I feel the same way. I, I’ve had a crush on you, ever since we met in Galar Mine Two. I mean, you’re handsome, good-looking, enough to make anyone do a double take if they saw you. But you’re also kind, gentle, really supportive - warm, even.” She had to glance away for a moment, unable to hold his gaze.
“I know I had to beat you in order to continue my Gym Challenge, but a part of me wanted the battle to keep going, you know? Just to stay a little longer with you. It’s been the same every time - I like when you’re with me and I wanna just keep being with you. Even if it’s just to talk like this. Maybe not even talking. I-I mean when you met me in the Wild Area and we were just standing together watching my Pokemon, it was...it was great.”
She glanced back to him. “Our argument messed me up. I-I know you said you didn’t want me burdened by it, but I was, pretty badly. I felt like I pushed away the kindest, most supportive man I knew, over something as childish as ‘I didn’t like that he pointed out a thing’. It was like I’d torn a little piece of myself out and thrown it away. It bothered me a lot.”
“What I’m trying to say is that...I have feelings for you, Kabu. I’m not...quite sure what they are, or how deep they run, but they are there. And...” Another breath, her heart drumming feverishly under her sternum. “And...I think you might have some feelings towards me, too?”
The gym leader’s eyes were wide, and he was clearly surprised (if not a little shocked), though his expression softened after a couple of seconds. Katla could almost see the gears turning in his head as he processed her words and...was it the light, or was there the faintest hint of a blush on his weathered cheeks?
The silence seemed to last for an hour before Kabu spoke again, his voice so quiet she could barely hear him.
“I...I do,” he said, his gaze darting away shyly. “My curiosity has...become more than that. My admiration has deepened, my care...gone further than I had expected it to go. I did not want to mention it to you in my letter, as...” He swallowed, returning his gaze to her. “Katla, I’m sure you are aware of our difference in age. You are young and spry, with the whole world at your fingertips. My summer days have passed. I cannot offer you what a partner your own age can offer.”
“I know.” Katla nodded. “But I’ve not got feelings for them.” She reached out, gently resting her hand on his. “I’ve got feelings for you.”
Kabu blinked, and now his shock was as clear as a sunrise.
“K-Katla,” he stuttered. “Are you....are you sure?”
“I don’t know how deep the feelings go, but I’m sure as my heart beats that they’re for you.” She replied, pulling her hand back slightly. “I’m willing to explore how deep they go for you...if you want to.” She smiled weakly, her nerve wavering. “I mean, I know how it is, me being a challenger, you a gym leader, and the media and all. I know we couldn’t have this open or anything. I-I mean if you even wanted to-”
Katla’s descent into nervous babbling was swiftly silenced when Kabu’s hand took hers, rough with callouses, yet warm and gentle.
“I do want to,” he said, smiling in a way that made her heart skip a beat. “Whilst you are right about us having to keep this between the two of us, I want to explore this every bit as much as you do.”
“Really?” Her face flushed, both at his touch and the realization that this was happening.
“Yes.” His smile widened kindly. “I hadn’t considered it, assuming that your feelings towards me ran a different course. I didn’t want to create an expectation for you to return my feelings, either.” His expression became serious. “Katla, you mustn’t go along with this because you think you should. I am aware you aren’t a child, but I have a responsibility to not use my influence for power.”
“That’s why I didn’t initially do anything - with you being a Gym Leader, I thought you’d have either have no interest in me, or, well, the power difference would make it awkward.” She explained. “But Kabu, I wouldn’t be here if these feelings weren’t my own. Heck, like I said, I didn’t think you’d even feel anything towards me.”
“And I thought I was perhaps misreading the situation.” The worried lines of Kabu’s frown were smoothed away. “It appears we were at an impasse, until our...disagreement. Fate appears to have a sense of humour.”
“Yeah, but it’s a bit of a shitty one.” Katla grumbled. “I still wish I could take those words back I said to you.”
“And I to you.” Kabu replied, raising his other hand when she opened her mouth. “No, I will not have you apologising again. Both of us said things in the heat of the moment that were uncalled for, and we both regret them. Now it’s time for us to move on, and see where this path will take us.”
The trainer closed her mouth, and despite feeling a little ruffled by his words, she nodded.
“True enough.” She glanced down to their hands, still curled around one another’s. It felt nice, and it seemed to act as a grounding point as everything began to sink in. Turned out, he liked her as much as she liked him. And they were kinda of sort of dating now.
And I thought coming face to face with a legendary Pokemon was gonna be the most unbelievable part of my life! She thought wryly to herself.
“You will be challenging Gordie soon, I presume?” Kabu asked, bringing her mind back to the present.
“Yeah yeah, I just gotta do a bit more training and suss out who I want to take into the match with me.” She nodded. “You gonna watch the match?”
“Of course.” Kabu smiled. “I wouldn’t want to miss it. Luckily the chairman is very particular about other matches not clashing with more high profile ones. Which means I will have the good fortune to watch this one live, if no emergency demands my attention elsewhere.”
Katla blinked, momentarily dumbfounded.
“Uh, you’re, you’re gonna be in the crowd?” She stuttered, feeling her face burn with a blush. “W-Wow, talk about pressure!”
“You’ve coped admirably with the pressure of the crowd so far. You will have no trouble.” The gym leader assured her, placing his other hand on top of hers. “Immerse yourself within the battle, as you have before, and you will forget my presence entirely.”
“I don’t know, Kabu, you’re a very unforgettable person.” Katla was surprised and delighted to see the older man’s face flush pink, and he glanced away shyly.
“You are very kind,” he said softly.
“I’m telling the truth. I mean...” Katla tugged at her hoodie, showing the fire type leader’s symbol emblazoned on its breast. “When that’s the first thing you’re greeted with in Motostoke, it kinda burns it into your mind.” A weak grin. “No pun intended.”
“Were your feelings toward me the reason you chose that particular hoodie?” Kabu asked.
“A little, but if I’m honest, I liked the colours more.” Katla admitted. “Always been a fan of black and red colours. Just...serendipity that your logo happened to be on it too.” A small smile. “A happy coincidence.”
“Indeed.” Kabu leaned back, the hand on top of hers retreating. “I apologise, Katla. I don’t mean to distract you from your training any more than I have to.”
“No, it’s okay, I like spending time with you,” she said, feeling her face heat up again. “And we needed this chat. But I do need to get back to it at some point...”
“Of course.” Kabu smiled, and he squeezed her hand before reluctantly pulling his hand away. “Perhaps best we part now, then.”
“I suppose.” Her smile was lopsided, as was her shrug. “Thank you for..all of this, Kabu. And paying for it too.”
“It was my pleasure.” His smile was so warm and genuine, Katla felt her heart do a little somersault in her chest. “I should thank you for...giving me a chance, after everything I’d said.”
“Hey! Thought we weren’t apologising any more!” She raised an eyebrow at him, briefly forgetting who she was speaking to. “It’s in the past now. We’ve made up, and we’re, well, dating now, I guess? Anyway - you’re forgiven, stop saying sorry. And let me pay my share of anything next time.”
He didn’t appear to be offended - indeed, his laugh thrilled her right down to her toes.
“Fair point! You have me there.” His eyes seemed to gleam with mirth. “You are every bit as fiery as in your battles.”
“Oy, flatterer.”
“It’s not flattery if it’s truth.” Kabu replied, and she swore he was trying to stop from smirking.
“Uh huh.” Her eyebrow arched at him again, slowly sliding back down her face as he released Sizzlipede from its ball again, the little Pokemon clambering up his shoulder to resume its place around his neck.
“I wish you the best for your upcoming Gym Challenge, Katla,” he said, pulling his bench coat up over his shoulders. “I look forward to your match.”
“Thanks, Kabu.” Katla smiled, gathering her coat together as well. “I’ll do my best. Take care of yourself too, yeah?”
“I will. Farewell.” And with a small nod and smile, the Ever-Burning Man of Fire disappeared out of the cafe.
---
Hop: Yo, Kat! How’d go?
Katla: Pretty damn good! You were right Hop, I shouldn’t have worried.
Hop: What’d I tell you!
Hop: Soooo?
Katla: If I tell you, you gotta swear to tell no-one. I’m serious, don’t blab about this, or I’m gonna get into so much trouble.
Hop: I won’t even tell Lee, promise. Cross my heart.
Hop: WAIT HOLD UP
Hop: Does that mean that you and him are...
Katla: Yeah.
Hop: HOLY SHIT CONGRATS
---
Melony: How did it go, Kabu?
Kabu: Much better than I expected.
Melony: I told you it would be fine. ^^

tag!
hii~ so i got tagged by @snugglemejeon thank you so much ! i think this is really cute hehe (to the people i tagged: i’m sorry if i tagged you and we haven’t talked that much... i don’t know that many people on tumblr... and also, you don’t have to do this challenge, so feel free to ignore it !)
rules are: (1) tag the person who tagged you (2) answer the questions (3) tag 10 people (sorry i don’t know that many people here on tumblr so i’m only gonna tag one or two :( but ps! if you wanna be friends with me, don’t hold back and just talk to me hehe)
(1) how tall are you?
i haven’t checked in a bit but i’m about 5′2″ (ish) so that’s around 158cm (*sighs* yeah i know... i’m pretty short)
(2) what color and style is your hair?
i actually got a haircut yesterday before my blackpink concert hehe so now my hair is layered and it goes a little past my shoulders. i didn’t start growing out my hair until late last year since i used to always cut it short (like, a little above my shoulders) so yeah... i used to dye my hair a longgg longggg time ago but now it’s its original color which is dark brown
(3) what color are your eyes?
a solid brown (not totally light, but not too dark) (my mom has really pretty light brown eyes but they didn’t get passed down to me so ahhaha *cries*)
(4) do you wear glasses?
yes, but no (?) i have glasses but i don’t wear them 24/7 since my eyesight isn’t that bad... i only wear them in class when i’m too far away from the board. i have kinda circular, brown glasses (lmao, i know no one asked but...)
(5) do you wear braces?
i used to wear braces a couple of years ago so now i just wear my retainers once a week (you’re supposed to wear them every night but whatever,,, i’m pretty lazy and irresponsible and my teeth haven’t shifted sooo once a week will do ahah)
(6) what’s your fashion sense?
i care about how i dress but i don’t worry about how i look all the time soooo... i’ll sum up my style in a few words: 26 year old single korean girl walking to an aesthetic cafe on a sunday afternoon. yeah. that’s basically my style. lol i hope you guys understand what i mean... if not, i’m terribly sorry
(7) full name?
only a few people on tumblr know my name... but i don’t want to reveal it here since i know everyone can see this, and tumblr is the only social media platform where my identity is hidden sooo...
but if you want to get to know me and learn my name then you can definitely message me or send something to me :) i’m nice, i swear
(8) when were you born?
july 2001; i’m 17 ;)
(9) where are you from and where do you live now?
i was born and currently live in los angeles, california however, i am 100% korean. both of my parents were born and raised in south korea. and yes, i am fluent in korean.
(10) what school do you go to?
i am a highschooler. and that’s all i’m gonna say. skool sucks :P
(11) what kind of student are you?
i would like to say that i’m more of a hard worker than a naturally smart person, but i am currently getting straight As and for those of you who live in the us, i’m taking 5 APs (which totally sucks :’( but i’m handling them kinda well... i think). and i don’t really like being complimented because one of my biggest fears is of me becoming arrogant so let’s move on,,, pls.
(12) do you like school?
hell no. but i have to deal with it since everyone does so :/// school isn’t that bad if you daydream and think about bts all day hehe. but in all seriousness, i think school is okay if you have the right friends to hang out with and talk to
(13) favorite subject?
history!!! i know this is really weird since not a lot of people like history, but i love ittt!!! i think it’s really fun since it’s kinda like one big story of our world (i’m sorry, i’m such a dork)... i took ap art history last year and i fell in love with it!
(14) favorite tv shows?
i used to watch kdramas a longgg time ago, but i kinda stopped but idk why... but my favorite tv shows are friends, the office, stranger things, jane the virgin, etc, etc... i can literally name so many tv shows that i’ve watched but then i’d go rambling on and on and on and i don’t want to bore anyone...
(15) favorite movie?
forrest gump !!! (and also, did anyone see the two bts movies? i watched both of them at cgv and i literally exploded when i saw the members... okay, moving on (sorry... i get off topic really easily))
(16) favorite books?
i read a book called “pachinko” by min jin lee over the summer and it was so! freaking! good!!! i highly recommend it everyone~ it’s a historical fiction novel about 3-4 generations of this korean family who lived in korea and then moved to japan. it takes place a little before the korean war and it talks about the discrimination that koreans faced in japan at the time. i recently went to the library to check it out since i wanted to read it again but they didn’t have an english copy of the book so i’m reading it in korean at the moment.
(17) favorite pastime?
rewatching and rewatching and rewatching bangtan. oh, and streaming their new album ;) oh, and stressing over the new test questions on the fan cafe that the staff upload every week (i need to level up but the test is so hard... i cry every time)
and writing for this blog! i originally made this blog to de-stress and write some scenarios and reactions and i didn’t know that people would actually like them and respond to them,,, so hey, thank you :) you make me happy every day
(18) do you have any regrets?
yes. too many to count. but i’m not gonna sit here and list them all lol
(19) dream job?
i don’t really know... but something in corporate law (?)
(20) would you ever like to be married?
yessss! have you seen my entire blog??? it’s an entire fluff kingdom!!! i mean, i know that marriage is not just one big fluff and i know that it’s tough, but i would still like to get married one day
i have my own little fantasies about how married life would be, but that’s a little secret so i’ll save it for next time ;)
(21) would you like to have kids?
as much as i love kids, i’m not too sure if i would want any... i mean, obviously my answer will change in the future, but i kinda want either no kids or just one kid... the responsibility of being a parent kinda freaks me out...
(22) how many?
oops, i kinda answered this already in (21) but i’ll answer again anyway: 0-1
(23) do you like shopping?
no, i absolutely LOVE shopping. i think i’m addicted lmao.
psssss: i know no one asked, but my favorite retail shop is madewell
(24) what countries have you visited?
ahhh finally... the question i’ve been waiting for... so if you get to know me, i really really really reallyyyyy love traveling and i’m so grateful for all the opportunities i’ve been given to travel at such a young age.
so, let me just list all the places i’ve been to (an i know not all of these are countries, or out of the us, but just hear me out,,, okay?) : france, italy, south korea, mexico, us (hawaii, nevada, utah, etc (lol, i can’t remember all of them))
my favorite location out of all of these places is definitely italy <3 (italy has my heart)... i stayed at rome and i also visited pompeii and positano (which were absolutely stunning and beautiful). i went to rome last spring (around april/may) and i personally, really love sightseeing and history and since rome is full of those two things i reallyyy enjoyed it there. oh, and don’t even get me started with the food <3333
i also really loved france... i stayed at paris and my favorite thing about paris was definitely the louvre museum (once again, i love art history) as well as this place called montmarte (ahh! it’s so pretty)
and last but not least, (as much as i love love loveee south korea) i really enjoyed mexico! i love calming, relaxing vacation spots so i got to go to cancun (twice!) and snorkel and swim and see little fishies in the clear turquoise ocean... yeah, i miss it there... :(
(25) scariest nightmare you have ever had
i would totally tell you guys, but it was too complicated so i’m not even gonna bother.
(26) any enemies?
i am a lover, not a fighter (hehe)
(27) any significant other?
does jungkook count? lmaooo it’s a joke... he doesn’t even know i exist lol.
my answer is no.
(28) do you get along with you family?
yes, yes i do.
(29) do you believe in miracles?
i believe things happen for a reason... so does that count?
last but not least... (30) how are you?
i’m actually doing pretty well :))) i was in this really big emotional slump that kinda felt like a roller coaster ride last year, but i’m over it now so... yeah... i doing pretty well :)
okay, so now that i’m done, i have to tag people, and like i said, i don’t talk to that many people on tumblr since i’m a loser lol so here are the people i’ll tag (sorry, i’m not gonna tag 10 people) :
@pjmochii @jsuga @kpopsffct @ anyone who wants to do it...
but yea, i seriously don’t know that many people since i haven’t been on tumblr for a long time, so i’m sorry to the people who i tagged (if i haven’t talked to you a lot, i’m sorry... i’ll try to be a better person and try to talk to you more ...)

Livedoor News Interview ~ Translation
Original article: http://news.livedoor.com/article/detail/15354813/
Note: Here’s my English translation of Wakana’s long interview with Livedoor News. Enjoy! Once again she is being super honest and carefree. This interview addresses a lot of the same topics that were already mentioned in the SPICE talk but still, there is a lot of fun and interesting stuff to be found here. As always keep in mind that my Japanese is by no means perfect, take everything with a grain of salt. If you share my translation (or parts of it) LINK TO THIS POST and CREDIT me!
For each and every one of us there are new places to discover, new steps to take... In advance of her upcoming solo tour, Wakana reveals her thoughts
Wakana who has been well-loved for many years as member of Kalafina will hold her first solo tour 『Wakana Live Tour 2018~Toki wo Koete~』 starting on September 24. For our shoot she wore her private clothes, a very feminine outfit, she faced the camera smiling, “truth is, it’s been 10 years since I have had a proper simile on my face for a photoshoot!” On stage she is known for her beautifully resounding and overwhelming singing voice but her character is actually very cheerful and friendly. Throughout the interview she made all the staff members laugh with her funny facial expressions while she was talking energetically.
I was worried about doing a solo tour…but I felt relieved by hearing the fans’ opinions
―― You are taking up the challenge of your first live tour which will span four cities all across the country (Tokyo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka). How did you feel when the tour was first decided?
I was very happy to be able to continue singing and I was looking forward to meeting lots of people again.
―― Please tell us about the background of this tour! Was it your wish to do this tour or was it your way of complying to the wishes and demands of the fans?
This wasn’t as much about what the fans wanted, it was first and foremost about myself, about my desire to sing. By chance I got offered the opportunity to do a live tour and I thought, “as long as I get to sing I am definitely up for it!” On the other hand I was also feeling anxious because I didn’t know how the fans would react. But there were so many nice and gentle people who were very happy to find out about it. I felt truly relieved hearing those voices.
―― Fukuoka is your hometown. This will be your very first triumphal return live all by yourself and not as part of Kalafina, right? Will your family and friends come to see you?
My close family lives in the Kanto area but lots of my other relatives and friends are planning to come, I hope they are looking forward to the concert.
―― Does it feel special to perform in your hometown as part of your tour?
I can’t help but being biased *laughs*. Once I started to live in Tokyo, I realised how much my hometown meant to me, I really started to appreciate it more. This feeling is strengthened even more because I get to do work like that and come back every once in a while to sing my music. I hope to convey my gratitude with my singing.
―― You mean you want to repay all the favours to the place that made you the person that you are?
Yes. It is the place where I decided I wanted to become a singer. Fukuoka with all its beautiful mountains and the sea awakened this wish of singing within my heart. I am very happy about that.
―― Is there a particular place you always visit when you return to Fukuoka?
“Daichi no Udon”! *laughs* I always eat their burdock tempura udon. With wakame. And an egg.
―― That’s very specific *laughs*
I always stay somewhere near a restaurant so there’s no need to ask for the way *laughs* Anyways, whenever I go back home I am more into udon than ramen.
One day I suddenly noticed that I hadn’t sung for quite some time
―― On August 11 when you held your 『Kalafina “Wakana”・Ryu Masaki Symphony Concert with the Roma Italia Orchestra』 you mentioned that you hadn’t taken such a long break from singing in the past ten years.
It took a while to get my engine starting again, it wasn’t until the setlist had been decided that I finally started to sing again, until then I had taken a complete break from singing in my daily life. There was Kalafina’s 10th Anniversary Live in January and then I got to take part in two events in March but after that I didn’t have any chance to sing so I just ended up not singing for five months. In my ten years as part of Kalafina we were doing lives almost every month but these days such opportunities don’t arise very often. Once I had detached myself from singing, I started to focus on other things. I just did what I felt like doing and I listened to all the music that I didn’t get the chance to listen to before.
―― What was it that you felt like doing?
I bought a camera. Until then I had been taking pictures with my phone but owning your own camera is much more exciting. This way I am now able to properly immortalise all the moments in my life that are special to me. I feel like if you improve on certain things in life people will use their time in a better and much more efficient way. Up until recently it was always like, “there is so much I would like to do but I don’t have time so I will just do it some time in the future” and now that I have time it’s like, “I am doing this. Oh, let’s also do that. Or I will just do it tomorrow since I have time to spare”. I have also been really obsessed with my house.
―― Have you become a fan of interior design?
Yes! I really love plants! My green family continues to grow. My plan to make my house into a forest is steadily progressing *laughs* I had been into this kind of thing before but now I really got the chance to become deeply absorbed in it.
―― You just mentioned that you started using your own camera. Recently you have been uploading lots of sky pictures to your blog, were these taken with your new camera?
That’s right. Ever since I bought it back in July. I am also carrying it with me today. I just really love the sky so I can’t help but take lots of pictures of it.
―― What exactly made you decide to buy this particular camera?
Eh? I guess you could call it a spur of the moment thing? *laughs* The actress in the camera commercial was so cute, I immediately fell in love, “ahh, so cute! I want it! I am gonna buy it now!” So that’s the reason behind my purchase *laughs*
―― And the timing was perfect, right?
I have always had this dream of taking my own pictures and creating a special photo album for fan club members. For this tour I actually used my pictures for some of the merchandise so my dream is steadily coming true.
―― What did you make?
I created a t-shirt with one of my sky pictures printed on the front. While I was doing all these things I always wanted to do many of my dreams started unfolding. I thought it would be nice to realise some of them while I was taking a break from singing. You see, ít wasn’t really my intention to take a break from singing. But then I thought, “it’s been such a long time, I want to meet up with as many people as possible.” So I contacted everyone, all these people that I had made promises to but I was never able to meet and all my close friends that I try to see on a regular basis…and that’s how I ended up having loads of fun each and every day *laughs* It was so much fun that I actually wondered ,”can I spend the rest of my life just meeting up with people every day?” *laughs* And then at some point I suddenly realised, “eh? Now that you mention it, I really haven’t been singing at all for the longest time…”
For myself and my own life I should seek out all the things I love
―― When your solo live tour was announced you commented, “I have searched for various ways to sing my music. I have now found my way.” I wonder, what is “your way”?
Ah! *wry smile* That article was written after my short press conference. Prior to that I was informed that we would announce the tour that day so I was told to say this and that about the tour. Then when one of the reporters asked me, “have you found your way?” I thought this would be the perfect timing to say this and that *laughs* So I replied jokingly, “yes, I have found my way. Can you guess what it is?” Somehow a big deal was made out of this particular remark.
―― So that’s how it was…*laughs*
I think I will just continue to search for the things that I want to do., I feel like there are no limits to what I can do among this wide range of music. I thought I should continue searching for music I would be able to sing. But not just music, I should also seek out all the things that I love just for myself and my own life.
―― If you were to decide on a particular genre, you would just limit yourself, right?
Exactly. It would be a shame. But of course I also really love the music that I have done up till now as part of Kalafina with the other two members; because my love for that music is so strong I wanna continue conveying the happiness I feel when singing those songs. On top of that I have realised one thing in these past ten years, I should be exploring more personal aspects when it comes to music.
――So first and foremost it’s all about wanting to convey your songs in all kinds of ways?
Yes. I want to sing as much as possible.
Each person interprets lyrics differently. It’s what I felt when I wrote my first lyrics
―― What’s behind your tour title “Toki wo Koete /Transcending Time”?
It’s about me taking a new step, a step that’s “transcending time” and going beyond the past 10 years. During my concert in August the final song I performed was called “Toki wo Koeru Yoru ni”, I wrote the lyrics to this song, it was my first time ever writing lyrics so that’s also part of my reasoning for naming my tour like that. Time continues to pass by, all the things I have acquired in the past, all the things I will gain in the future, I want to feel and experience them one by one and I want the audience to feel them too, that’s why I thought the title was fitting.
―― How was it to write the lyrics for “Toki wo Koeru Yoru ni”?
I am still learning. It was my first time so I didn’t really know what I was doing. To think that in junior high school everyone was calling me a “poet” *laughs*. My friends and I would always exchange letters during class, we could never wait until the next break. Despite what it may have looked like, I was actually writing poems, it’s quite embarrassing to be honest *laughs*. My friends from that time still call me that.
―― So among your friends you are just known as “Wakana The Poet”? *laughs*
That’s right. Even back in elementary school it was like that, for example, one day there was heavy snowfall and my friends and I thought it was absolutely fascinating so I suggested. “hey, let’s all come up with a haiku while looking at the snow!!” It would be fun after all *laughs* It was so enthralling, I wanted everyone to think hard about it.
―― Did you make people laugh with your poem?
I came up with a super serious poem and everyone seemed to like it *laughs* So yeah, ever since then that image has stuck with me.
―― Did you write your lyrics while thinking back on that time?
It was completely different back then *laughs* The song had already been written so it was really hard to find lyrics that would fit.
―― Writing lyrics in accordance with musical notes is very hard it seems.
It is. I had no idea how to do it so I ended up having to teach myself. There is no such thing as a perfect result, I am still far from being happy with the final result. I have a lot to learn and there are so many parts within myself that I would like to change.
―― Were you influenced by Kajiura Yuki’s lyrics?
I didn’t even get the chance to be influenced by her lyrics. I simply didn’t have enough space to work with, “I can only fit two words into this part!” Some words of my favourite novelists were spinning around in my head so I let myself be inspired by that, I tried my very best and thought hard on it but then…I realised I just didn’t have the necessary vocabulary…
―― Speaking of which, whose works are you reading frequently?
I REALLY love Miyuki Miyabe and Keigo Higashino too much. I really like historical fantasies and psycho thrillers. And when I feel like reading some hardboiled fiction, I will read something by Go Osaka, his “Mozu” works in particular. I am really into the antihero-type police officers *laughs*
―― You could try incorporating the world views of these novels into your lyrics?
I have tried reading about three books for reference this time around but it didn’t help at all. The novels were really intriguing though! *laughs*
―― *laughs* So I am guessing these lyrics are your honest feelings. What kind of feelings did you put into this song?
I had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted to say but everyone has their own interpretation. People tend to see things their own way and I have realised that the songs I have listened to in the past might not have the meaning that I thought they would have had. Kajiura-san has shared some of her thoughts regarding the songs we have been singing for ten years but she has never been very precise. She always told us that everyone was free to think whatever they wanted.
―― So is it okay to sing the songs from a singer’s perspective with your own interpretation?
Of course as singers we have different perspectives too, we are listeners after all. Sometimes Kajiura-san would tell me, “truth is, I actually wrote it with this and that in mind” and then I was all like, “eh, THIS is supposed to be a love song!? I wouldn’t have guessed!” The next time I would always try to sing the song keeping Kajiura-san’s thoughts in mind. That’s why I think it’s best not to provide a proper answer for the meaning behind “Toki wo Koeru Yoru ni”. Whatever you feel while listening to it, it’s totally fine.
Kajiura-san’s music has its own life so I want to convey that
―― I think for this tour you were quite worried to sing Kalafina songs all by yourself?
Of course. I worried a lot about how everyone would feel about it. Back in August when I walked up on stage I felt like I was hearing all these voices from the audience, I was imagining all the questions from fans like, “why are you up there alone? Why is she singing these songs by herself?” It was my first time standing on stage all by myself in front of so many people. That’s probably why I felt this way. Thankfully though, I received a warm applause and I gladly accepted it.
――If you are singing songs that were made for three people all by yourself, I am sure some of the arrangements must have been changed?
Yes. As Kalafina the three of us would often sing at the same time in order to create harmony. That’s what Kajiura-san had in mind when Kalafina was first formed. We would each sing the main melody so I need to cover all three main parts, it feels like I am singing non-stop. It is difficult but I think I have figured out a way to do it so the songs sound fluid for the listener.
―― So you are also singing Keiko’s and Hikaru’s parts?
Yes, that’s what I did for my concert in August. I wanted to do the songs proper justice so I also had a supporting chorus consisting of four people. It has made me realise that Yuki Kajiura’s music brings great joy to the singer no matter which melody you are singing. And I have never sung all melodies before so it was a lot of fun. However, we have been saying this again and again, “Kalafina’s unique chorus work only exists because the three of us are singing together” and I believe that to be true. It’s something that’s ingrained within myself due to working together for the past ten years. And because it is such an integral part of me I would like to continue singing this music even if I am doing it all by myself.
―― Perhaps by singing Kalafina’s songs alone you will discover new things?
I have not yet reached that stage but yes, I might discover something in the future. For each and every one of us there are new places to discover, new steps to take, that’s just part of life. Right now I guess I am taking this route. We are each walking on separate routes and we are walking with determination. All I am thinking about is to face forward. I have received lots of messages from fans saying, “I don’t think I can follow a one-person-Kalafina”. I would like to write a letter to all of those people, telling them it’s fine *laughs*. It takes courage to say that, I respect that. But Kajiura-san’s music has its own life. It is such wonderful music so I just want to continue singing it.
I would like to take on a new challenge by just being myself, completely natural
―― The visuals for your tour seem very natural?
Kalafina’s lives were always connected to our albums or we would wear the outfits of our newest song or the production would be influenced by one of our anime tie ins. But this time around it was all about “myself”. I made sure to incorporate things that I like and while I was consulting with all kinds of people asking them what kind of stuff would be nice for my tour I slowly came up with a concept.
―― Your outfit today is lovely.
Thank you so much! I tried my very best choosing a nice outfit *laughs* I am wearing a white lace dress on the promotional flyer. So I thought for today I would wear something similar. As part of Kalafina I didn’t really do many photoshoots where I was able to wear this kind of floral pattern so I thought it was a good idea. Flashy colours are also welcome! *laughs*
―― I guess this is also a new challenge?
Yes but I am embracing this challenge! The visuals for this tour are very soft. For the first time ever in a photoshoot I was told it’s okay to laugh, “don’t you wanna try smiling a bit?”
――So smiling during your photoshoot was a new and fresh experience?
Yes, it was. It felt very natural and I thought it would be okay to smile. The fans may be surprised though. If you look at the pictures long enough some people might be able to recognise it. Gradually it will make sense. “eh, what’s that? It’s so different, I can’t tell…oh! *shock* Is that? Is that…a SMILE???!!!” It might be like that for some people. *laughs* But being “natural”, being “true to myself” is very important to me. Of course there have been all kinds of pictures in the past, they were conveying a cool image for sure but in none of them I was able to be myself.
―― Even during our Kalafina interviews I always got the impression that you smiled a lot *laughs*
Indeed! I have been laughing a lot ever since my days in elementary school when I was suggesting haikus and other stuff. And I really want to make people smile as well *laughs* When I meet my friends after having not been able to see them for a long time we always end up talking about these childhood stories, we will laugh so much that we start crying. That’s a lot of fun, right? Even though 20 years have passed it is still a lot of fun. That makes me very happy.
―― Would you like to include lots of fun stuff in your MCs as well?
If it’s possible then I would definitely like to try it *laughs* But I don’t think I can. If I am talking to someone it’s fine. For example, I am confident that I can have a very funny conversation with my taxi driver *laughs* But MCs aren’t conversations, it’s pretty much a one-way street and there is always this time lag where you wait for a reaction. This time around I will try to do normal and proper MCs, after all I don’t want to scare off people who are coming to see me for the first time. There might be some people who don’t know about Kalafina so I want to do a live that makes sense for them as well. That’s what I want to do. I don’t want any member of my audience to feel left out or lonely.
―― So you want every time to feel like it is the first time?
Yes, I would like that. Not just while performing, in my daily life as well, when I am meeting people, when I am talking to people. I think that’s very important. You are destined to meet the people in your life. I want to meet them with a smile on my face and I want to say goodbye with a smile, I think that makes life so much better.

Episode 1 - Soy perezosa y estoy cansada. Quiero morir. - Emily
Jay Bee
I'm on a tribe with only people who've played in Athena. So. I'm gonna be first boot CONFIRMT! I was like 'cameron don't cast anyone I hate like [redacted], [redacted], or [redacted]' but honestly honey! this is worse! I've hosted everyone in this cast except like 4 people. So. Hell. Okay so initial early tribe assessment: Alex: really strong player, kinda scary kinda gentle. likely first boot if we lose. Rebecka: thats my queen! if she votes me out i'll say thank you. im hoping to work with her and timmy since there's the himalayas connection Autumn: is a winner but tbh not that threatening Timmy: don't know him that well, which hopefully means I can work my social charm Dynamics could be a mess since its 3 girls/2 guys, 3 himalayas/2 not, 2 people ive hosted/2 i havent, etc. Intersecting. Very intersecting already 15 minutes in.
Madison
Okay first of all FUCK YOU for 4 tribes of *5*?! How am I supposed to survive this? Although Bryan is here THANK GOD. and Dan is here which could be good although idk if he’s over how dirty I did him in Mongolia.
Olivia
Helllo!!! HOLY SHITBALLS THIS FUCKIN CAST WHAT THE HELL!!!!! I’m good friends with Sammy who is on my tribe so that’s cool and I like francie. I’m playing against jay?!?!?! Not cool!! Never wanted that to happen she’s my host mom I don’t wanna compete against her 😂❤️ Also heather and Tim are here wtf!!!! Omggggf ahhhhhhhsnakdbsa. So many iconic players I hope I can skate by without being seen as a massive target
Allan
Looking at the cast list I know literally no one lmao. The only person I recognise is Madison who i played a mini with and we literally sent two messages to each other. I'm hoping that not knowing anyone might work in my favour because it means I'm willing to work with anyone. I just really need my tribe to win this first immunity because I fear that I won't have time to form any bonds if we lose and I might be a first boot.
Timmy
I'm screaming, why is this cast so iconic. Like this tribe is amazing and I have no idea what will happen if we have to go to tribal. Here are my initial thoughts on my tribe: Alex: We have only talked socially in groups, never one on one, but he is cool. Autumn: Love, an icon, a true fave, but also a dangerous player because she is sneaky but if I can get her on my side now, I should be fine for a few rounds. Jay: Queen, another icon, love. This is the first time we have ever really talked but she is one of the nicest people in this community and I want to work with her. Just have to be wary if her, Emily, and Francie get on a tribe together because they will be a power trio (an iconic one, but a very dangerous one). Rebecka: Oh god, seriously another icon. This tribe is too good, she is a strong player and strategic. We need to win immunities when in this tribe because this is a strong group of people and who knows what will happen if we have to go to tribal.
Dan
I'm just saying this rn. If I end up on a damn tribe with Alex Crooks, I might lose my mind. He irritates me beyond belief and I really don't want to put up with him. I'm super happy I really only know Madison on my tribe because I want to make new connections with people and not be stuck with the people that I play every game with all the time. I've had it with Emily and Francie joining games together. I love them so much, but like byeeee. I feel like I won't make it far in this game bc of who is in it, but such is life!
Heather
Wow such a pretty cast but im playing with 3 people who have/are hosting me so this should be fun. And who's bright idea was it to put me on a tribe with Emily. Like we are the same person and I love her to death. I have wanted to work with her for so long and now we get the chance to. AND A FEW OF MY LOVES ARE ON OTHER TRIBES. And Annmarie is here with me on whatever the tribe is called so IOS pride. Ive been talking to Brian Brian and hes so chill i love it. And Jacob the lip sync king. Im excited omg this cast is beautiful.
Francie
okay so four tribes of five ppl? oh wowie thats something I havent done before. less people = less connections to make at first but when you'd have to go to tribal? oh, that'd be tough bc less room for variety and like alliance and stuff with low numbers is just...yeah. I might add olivia and julia to something then? I guess? I mean off the bat, all four of them seem good but I know more about olivia and julia (not a ton about how they play in game tho asjdhhaf) on other tribes, emily, jay bee, and tim are out there somewhere like holy cow my mom, my best friend in the community, and my son? in the same game with me? damn cam, good call separating us like this. imagine if we all made merge together.... this challenge?? a duolingo spanish challenge??? holy shit my time has COME not only do I have the time tomorrow to dedicate to this but I actually have the skills to do it!!! like,, really reasonably well!! some on the other tribes too, probably, but I'm extremely confident about this already
I forgot just how basic basic spanish is I feel like it's day one of freshman year again
what if i just do it, make an alliance tonight. its a small tribe gotta make connections quicker.....
cam sending a message about adding hosts to alliance chats? could someone already be making one. hf, im gonna go for it
I did it I made an alliance with julia and olivia already and if it goes south by any chance, oh well I called it 2 and a half gals ajsdhjasld
I'm anxious about everything so ofc im anxious about making an alliance s o soon but also its a small tribe so I need to get together with some people bc if I wait to long i could get hecked over so...
I think this tribe call is the chillest tribe call i've been on ajlhdkgflsahjd
Emily

Bryan
WHATS UP BITCHEZZZZZZ IM BACK AFTER CRACKTOA FOR SOME LAGO DE A TITTY LAND!!! WOOO!!! THANKS TO CAMERA FOR HOSTING ME!! Honestly looking at this cast. I’m 150% sure this cast will tear each other a part because there is so many people here known for being snakes and being messy and it’s just gonna explode. But anyways. My tribe: Madison: omg I literally love this girl so much. Bless up that she was casted. She’s one of my best friends in this community and I know we can work together. Tim: I’ve been able to play with him for like 2 rounds in another game but he was very pleasant to talk to so I’m excited to be playing with him again. Alann: no idea who this person is. Dan: he hosted one of my games before. We didn’t really talk much but he seemed nice. Overall. Super pumped for this game!! I’d try and go over people on other tribes but that’s honestly too much work. Bye for now!
Tim
So the cast seems increadibly strong and seeing everyone be so iconic makes you wonder which person is about to be the first boot. Not me! Also the tribes are SOOOOO small its scary. 5 people? Rip laying low. Even the hosts were like make an alliance of 3 to keep majority lmfaooo.
Madison
This video makes it seem like I’m dragging Allan. I would like to clarify tha lt I think Allan is a lovely person. Otherwise: https://youtu.be/-qEd8D76iL4
Bec
https://youtu.be/E_RvgCg5qXw
Dan
So we're safe from the first tribal! Yassss. Which is good because I really haven't talked to many people on the tribe. Jus the cordial how's the weather bullshit, ya know. I really like don't see myself getting super far in this game just based on who is cast, so I'm just gonna have fun and too my best! WOO! *high kick* Anywho, I'm sad the love of my life Beckka isn't safe this week :/ I hope the devil incarnate Alex Crooks goes this round. I've had it with his ass.
Bec
-i knew we were gonna lose -i refuse to go home -jay told me to make an alliance with whoever i want with her so me her autumn lets go -need to talk to timmy -alex just added me and i realized we hadnt spoken yet and yikes
Francie
we won the immunity!!!! woo!!! our tribe came in second and I pulled so many points out of my ass. es muy bueno
Tim
We actually won with the highest score woo!! The challenge was honestly pretty fun yet challenging luckily Madison had some knowledge of Duolingo that helped us. Wooo our tribe [insert name]
Emily
We barely missed tribal... lmao I fucking hate this challenge. Soy perezosa y estoy cansada. Quiero morir.
Timmy
This sucks. Alex already messaged me saying “can’t wait to go home” because he got the lowest score and just added two other tribe members. I don’t really want him to leave though. It’s just really difficult because this is such a good tribe. Just hoping the fact that I’ve already been talking to everyone will help me out going into the tribal council, because I do not want to be the first person to go.
Madison
BOOM BOOM BOOM LEMME HEAR YOU SAY WAY HOOOOOOO BC WE WON IMMUNITY!! Tribe morale +1000! I love us!
Heather
We got 3rd place, but Aye no tribal. Guess that means FORM RELATIONSHIPS YAY. There has been no talk of an idol system yet, so I def want to get to the bottom of that soon. ahh Im going to bed...
Bryan
Haha. Bilingual kings and queens only on my tribe woo! I’m sooooooo happy that we got first place in the challenge!! Like. Hopefully this is much different from krakatoa where I went to almost every single tribal council pre merge. *shakes violently while having flashbacks* but honestly. Tribe morale is up which is sweet! No real new updates is relations I think. Only that I’ve found out that Allan ends 80% of his messages with “haha”
Jacob
WE DIDN'T LOSE HELL YEAH!! ... but I'm kinda crying inside because no matter who leaves we lose a legend )': But HEY only 18 people stand between me and victory so woohoo <3
Jay Bee
listen i am so hungover at a panera right now but I DONT WANNA BE FIRST BOOT!! this four tribe bullshit better go away in another round or two or else i’m going premerge which i h9. i dropped some hints to put alex on the bottom day 1 but i’m hoping like rebecka and autumn are with me. we made an alliance so hopefully they’re With It
AnnMarie
Wow. This game started off a bit oddly, especially with all of my inactivity the first day. Despite that, I'm shocked at how the first immunity challenge went! My first immunity challenge ever in soarsa ended badly because of inactivity, but this time we are safe and I get to relax a little and get to know some of the people I'm playing with. Heather is incredible and Emily is so sweet. I trust Brian and Jacob and I wish we communicated more. The tribe is a bit more quiet than I'm used to, and I hope we bond more. I feel very good about this game especially since it's set in Guatemala. If a lot of the hints and challenges are in spanish, I think that I'll be breezing through. Hopefully I can use my knowledge and language to leave an impression on the people and the game itslef. Cheers to a good game!!
Sammy
YES, WE MAY NOT HAVE GOT 1st BUT TIME DID SO GOOD AN I AM SO PROUD OF THEM. I HAVE NOTHING JUICY YET:( our first call was kinda awkward but the dog managed to entertain us. Anyway yeah I’m super pumped to work with everyone!
Autumn
Omg I love and hate the lake already haha. I really like the cast and my tribe but the game is off to a rocky start since we lost the Duolingo challenge. I know it's not my fault but I feel like I made a huge miss steak. WHY DIDNT I JUST USE GOOGLE!!! I'm proud of myself for earning so much xp in such a short amount of time but I made it so much harder on myself and easily could've gotten those extra 300 points that would've put us in 3rd place. It's ok though Atitlan is lit and we shall overcome
http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/koror-blog-org/images/1/1c/Reaction2.gif/revision/latest?cb=20150624035411
ALSO I LOVE MY TRIBE!!?! It really feels like a wholesome beautiful Athena reunion and seeing Jay and Timmy again is awesome. And then Rebecka is bae so you really can't go wrong. She created an alliance with me, her, and Jay and I stan. Mothers and Daughters is making merge y'all heard it here first. We're all voting Alex and I feel bad but I'm relieved because he's been super inactive and hasn't even added anyone until now so maaayyybbe it's not the worst thing. After this Atitlan has to be rock solid so if Alex is already the odd one out we might as well make it official
Olivia
WE WOOON WOOHOO!!!! I got the best score out of anyone, which is cool in a way but also could be perceived as threatening. I can see the same path that I went down on isle of skye spread out so clearly in front of me and I’m trying to change that. Fuckin tribe mates wouldn’t stop praising me and being so nice and calling me queen when I really didn’t want them to. I tried to deflect because I do NOT want to be seen as the leader again. That’ll probably just lead to an early merge demise once again. Idk how to stop it tho! Julia wasn’t going to be able to contribute much so I just tried to do as much as possible to make up for her and francie and nick were not that far behind. I regret sending my XP score I thought everyone would but they didn’t. I like 4/5 people on the tribe going to tribal so I hope it’s the fifth that goes hope (alex) but while it would break my heart, getting out one of the 4 icons on that tribe would make my life easier. Francie seems to be my closest ally at this point but also Sammy. But idk if I trust francie completely like she’s made it so far on Mongolia and did an awesome idol play and shit and she’s obviously really good at the game. However that could mean that if I’m her closest ally that’s good for me! But emily is also in this game and everyone knows how good she is. And also her and francie are f4 in Mongolia right now and seem to be closely working together so that poses a serious threat to me being francie’s #1. It’s going to be weird playing with heather and Tim because I’m good friends with both and would love to work with them but if I blindside them/they do it to me would it affect our relationship? I’d like to think no. AnnMarie and I left on super great terms in ios so there’s potential there. And then there’s Madison who everyone and their goddamn mother has worked to apologize and appease her in the reunion chat for voting her out but it’s like girl COME ON you could try to be a little less bitter about it. I never once apologized and tbh I do not regret voting her out in the slightest and I hope I get to do it again this game! I know some people viewed it as a not smart move but it was helpful to us and boosted our confidence and whatever! Doesn’t matter anymore. But I know she still holds a grudge towards me somewhat and I’m gonna either get my throat cut by her or work with her so we’ll see how that goes. And there’s also jay, my host mom. Idk man she said she’s here to play and play without limits or hesitation and I feel a really close bond with her but I know that has to be set aside for the game. There’s people here I’m totally sure she’s closer to so I’d have to appeal to her on a game level on why we should align. But maybe we won’t. On one hand, she said this is the last one she’ll be playing for awhile and I’d LOVE to see her win and do great because I love her and want her to do well as my friend!! On the other hand I want her to go pre-merge on a tribe I’m not on so that my biggest emotional threat and also probably the biggest threat in the game can be gone without the blood on my hands. I’m just glad I won’t be first boot. If our tribe goes to tribal it’ll probably be nick but it may be Julia because of the challenge but who knows about the next one! Could be me lol (knock on wood) Sorry for popping off there it had just been awhile lol
Also there are people in this game that are WAY bigger threats than I am so that’s reassuring. I just gotta make sure I play that up and conceal myself more than I did. So far, not doing great at that lmao
Emily
Listen I love jay but I’m praying she goes pre merge
Brian
I don't know where the fuck I stand in the game. People are fake so rip. GOod thing there is another inactive on my tribe.
Allan
¡Ganamos el desafío! I'm so happy we didn't have to go to tribal because I have no alliances or anything. Tbh I like everyone so far. Tim has been talking to me a lot but I couldn't really see myself going far with him so I guess we'll see how it goes.
Tim
My senses are telling me that me and Madison are on the outs while Dan is the flip vote and Allan and Bryan are on the other side. Bryan just gives me... really bad vibes and we arent really clicking at all and I dont think he's even putting forth any effort in our convo. I just need to talk more with peeps.
Nick
CONFESSIONAL ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME So we are doing cast reveal and I’m like omg I’m friends with a lot of these people. But when we get on our tribes I DONT KNOW ANYONE. And I’m like crapp 1) the newbies are outnumbered 2) I already have enough problems with people I know now I have to make new relationships, which I have no problems 3. All of my friends have been split pretty much even in each tribe 4. THERES only 5 peopleeee. Like I do worse with tribes with less people But my tribe is very freaking active and I’m super excited to hopefully slay the game
Heather
My tribe isn't speaking that much, which sucks. But it could be due to us not having to go to tribal. I have spoke to Annmarie however, trying to form a tight relationship with her. Since we failed at that in Isle of Skye. I think we are cool and are into working together, even though last time we did, we wasted her idol together.
Nick
Confessional About After the challenge So the challenge was DuoLingo AND I LITERALLY Completed the whole thing in 24 hours #SpanishSkillsUnite Because our tribe was in it too win it, like half of us finished the whole thing and one came really close Like we freaking slayed And the best part is For once I don’t have to go to first tribal in an org. Thank god
Alex
I think I got handled a bad deck with this group. I’m not the most active and I sucked in the challenge. Just not the best combo for me
Alex is voted out 4-1 and round 2 begins.

Episode 6 - “I made merge!! Now I can keep dating my boyfriend” - Gizmo
I made merge!! Now I can keep dating my boyfriend because I'll make jury. I'm really excited to link back up with some of my old tribe mates. I'm also really liking some of the new people. I've already gotten further than I thought it would so now I'm simply vibin
Gizmo and Dylan have confirmed to me that Lukas is going around saying that Jessie, Mac, Jay, Brien, and I are a strong 5 that needs to be taken out. That's not true at all. While I am in an alliance with 3/4 of them, I'm only really loyal to Brien at this point. But it seems like he is shooting himself in the foot with this meddling, so whatever. At least this proves that Gizmo trusts me. I am thinking about throwing this challenge because I do not want a target on my back so early, but I am scared of an idol from Lukas. We will see how I feel by the time the challenge starts.
So I made jury . No idea how I actually did that probably because we only we to tribal once . Anyways I’ll give an actual confessional full detail later but I’m still vibing with my trio that needs a better alliance name and I’m vibing with Liam it’s nice to be back on his side again .
Gizmo created an alliance with Brien, Cameron, and I because he wants to go against Lukas. I like this alliance sans Cameron because I do not talk to them a lot. Gizmo seems really smart and is already spilling his idol hunt details. This alliance will help me go against Lukas later. I definitely have the votes to get out Lukas now. Me, Brien, Gizmo, Cameron, Dylan, Zach, Jay, Mac, and Jessie. One or two of these might not, but I have a strong feeling they will all vote out Lukas when the time comes. After this vote, I want to get rid of a nobody for an easy vote like Paolo. Then, at F10 I want to start going after Mac. I do not know what will happen after that, but that is my game plan right now.
there's literally no tea to spill. i'm just bored and wanted to write one of these.
Raffy wins immunity, kinda like that. I’ve heard Lukas’ name which is cute. What I wanna hear is who Lukas throws out. Do I get Liam to be a mole? We’ll see. Not sure if Raffy is as close to Lukas as I once thought but who knows, it’s always good to think of those suspicions. Plus when I say things to Jay and Brien about it, that will ensure they’d keep me over Raffy which is ideal. Jessie and I have shared what we’ve got, except me having the Idol and Nullifier. Sorry sis it’s too valuable for you to know about x Me and Liam are full on sleuths figuring out the idol system which is hot. Liam is my ride or die and I don’t ever see myself getting rid of the Aussie king. He’s too helpful to me.
OKAY my strategy for this vote is literally anyone but me! I'm scheming with Mac about targeting Dylan, Raffy & Zach! Jessie & Mac in the final 3 with me would be ideal. I think for the time-being I can work with Brien but he is also the only one that knows that Mac & I are really close. YA BOI IS WORRIED but I'm ready to SLAY
Made it through the first immunity challenge! I didn't win immunity but that's okay. This first vote is going to be nerve wracking just because of seeing where the numbers are going to fall. I think I'm safe, but that good good anxiety won't let me relax. However, no matter where I place now, unless its final 3, I will still be on jury. So that makes me relax a bit, I can only do as well as I can.
With my alliances, I plan on voting out Lukas. We also want to split the vote on Mac because he's been acting very aggressive in PMs, according to Gizmo. Apparently, Mac confronted Gizmo in PMs about being a duo with Cameron which is very weird and suspicious. Mac needs to go sooner rather than later.
The tribe is very silent at the moment which bothers me since this is the first merge tribal. I think this means that I will be blindsided during tribal council, but I will not be the one going home, so I will just keep to myself as I have been doing.
Going into merge. I personally haven’t heard a name besides Lukas. Maybe this is an easy vote? But part of me thinks someone could be bubbling. An idol? A secret majority? I guess I’ll find out! But what’s for certain, is that I’m worried because I don’t have all the knowledge.
Have really only heard one name going around today so this tribal seems straightforward. However, I have been on the wrong page before so you never know when that is going to happen again. Here's to hoping this all goes smoothly.
OMG YA BOI MADE THE FUCKING MERGE!!!!! This is my first ORG so a lot of this is a huge learning experience for me and I can now safely say I CAN make the merge in an ORG! Now it's time to kick it into gear and win this game I'm going to slay people and hopefully get myself into a good position. I'm extremely nervous. I'm gonna talk to Mac so we can like swap as much info as we possibly can and hopefully we can find a good middle ground and get a group of 7 together.
I'VE MADE MERGE FINALLY YES YES YES YES
** Host note, I think this was meant for the last episode, oops sorry**
youtube
MERGE BAYBEEEEEE! I’m here and I get to see my fake husband Liam! AHH! Unfortunately Alex was cut from making the merge. Now. I have a suspicion that Raffy *might* be with Lukas, along with Dylan and Zach. Liam mentioned to me that Dylan and Zach are close, with Raffy being friends with them and me having suspicions with Lukas and Raffy being a secret duo, that makes that 4. I have Liam, Brien, Jay, most likely Jessie, and Liam saying he can pull Paolo. Cameron and Gizmo are also rumoured as a duo which is something to look out for. It this first vote is an 8-4 vote with most likely Dylan or Zach leaving, you bet your buttocks I had a hand in that.
At merge, I already linked up with Dylan and Zach. They're both really good friends of mine and we just assumed we would work together. I feel down to work with them and Zach made an alliance called Toes for the three of us. I began to talk with Gizmo and Paolo about how their last tribals went, and I feel a really strong bond with Gizmo. He seems really sweet and he seems willing to flip on his previous tribe if need be. I gave him some excuses for why we voted out Keegan because I don't want to reveal my cards to him just yet. I did reveal some of my disdain for Lukas, however. How I see it is that if everyone knows I'm going after Lukas, then they will not see me as a threat just yet since they know where I stand. He told me that Lukas also rubbed him the wrong way which is a good sign for me. Paolo is going to spill the beans after a meeting he is in about the tribals he was at (which I already know all about). I promised to give him information in return, but I don't know how much I will tell him. I know Paolo in real life which I hope he is keeping on the down low, and I've seen him play. He is a bit of a rat, but I'll try to sue him out with our conversation. I need to link up with my alliance and get them to think that I'm not as social as I am being so they (meaning Mac) do not see me as a threat.
Gizmo is spilling all of his information to me. He sees Dylan and Zach as a strong duo which seems like indication that he wants to target them. He also wants to go for an original Tituba member because they have 5 compared to our 4 and 3. He made a mistake telling me this as I have Dylan's and Zach's backs, but I don't know when I am going to tell them. I want the focus to be on Lukas, so I don't want to reveal too much information that might shift the target on to someone else. However, if Gizmo is just going to sell his information for basically free, I am glad to take him under my wing as my rat. Brien says that he's liking Dylan's vibe which works really well for me.
Mac just thinks he can react to things and he will be good his doom in this game is coming sooner than later bc of the way he is playing in my eyes wether it’s by my hand or someone else’s we must wait to find out. Well we merged and I’m happy I made it however I think it’s gonna immediately be a mac vs raffy war and I will need to choose a side when I don’t want to bc I don’t want my 2 closest allies to be going at each other but I think I’ll just see where everyone else wants to go with this first vote and get in the majority bc there is no reason to make myself a target at this point. Some people may say im playing scared but I say I’m playing conservative and in this scenario it’s a good thing 😆. I’m gonna make my move at the right time however the timing is not correct at the merge. I certainly don’t think I’m in any trouble at this first vote maybe if Lukas has way his side may vote for me but i don’t necessarily wanna burn my bridge to Lukas as he has seem to have done with me smh. I consider myself a free agent for any group to use as a number at this point i wanna show agency so that everyone things they can use me as a number and if they wanna make a move they come to me about it.
New idol system, kinda. I feel like it’s more of an extension that a complete change. This adds the Love Spell which I have no idea what it will do. I have a theory it could be the binding spell, forcing two people to work with each other. If I haven’t mentioned, I have an idol nullifier. All I need is Olive Oil for my idol. That’s it. Olive Oil. The amount of times I’ve said Olive Oil in my host chat. Far too much. Anyways here is tea. Lukas told Liam that me, Raf, Jay, Jessie, Brien are a “tight 5” sis that’s a lie. A tight-ish 4 maybe with Jessie. Lukas wants the swapped Osbourne tribe to knock off this group, but I feel like he won’t include Raffy. Liam is my mole who’s told me so much, along with Brien, about who’s connected to who. Thank you social game <3.

VinePair Podcast: Will Small Drinks Brands Survive the Covid-19 Crisis?
As the Covid-19 crisis and the associated lockdowns, quarantines, and stay-at-home orders persist, our drinking habits and purchasing opportunities are shifting. These changes are creating winners and losers in the beverage alcohol business. While sales for many of the best-known drinks brands are steady or even rising, smaller craft products can no longer rely on bars, restaurants, and taprooms to serve as access points for the consumer.
And so, small beer, wine, and spirits producers and their supporters are left wondering: What can be done to keep these vital and beloved brands alive? Can we save them with savvy purchasing, or is broader governmental action required? VinePair CEO Adam Teeter, Chief Content Officer and Editor in Chief Erica Duecy, and VinePair Podcast Co-host Zach Geballe discuss these questions in this week’s episode.

Erica: From Connecticut, I’m Erica Duecy.
Zach: And in Seattle, WA I’m Zach Geballe.
A: And this is the VinePair podcast. And guys, we are now in week five, which is crazy, almost at the end of week five. Some people were saying there’s like a light at the end of the tunnel. You know? I’m starting to hear certain dates that people are putting out there. Germany is gonna start opening up their country again next week, which is insane to think about. How are you guys holding up in your sheltering in place this week?
E: I’m actually having a pretty good week.
A: Good!
E: I have to say, I’ve gone through waves. Last week was a pretty terrible week, it was just not a great mental health week. I felt like it was pretty challenging, it was just all sort of down news. But I feel like there, you know, and I’ve talked with a lot of people on the podcast and some upcoming episodes that will be coming out and I do think that, I’m hearing a lot about innovation and ideas and silver linings and I think that, you know, I’m hoping that in the next couple of weeks we can start to have some ideas around you know turning the corner on this and some good news. But that’s to say that, you know, it’s up sometimes, down sometimes, so hanging in there.
Z: Yeah, I think that’s about as apt a description as I’m able to come up with. I would say, you know the other thing for me that’s been true over the last I don’t know maybe it’s been the last week or so is I’ve been really struck by how used to this new way of living I’ve become. In that, you know the first couple of weeks it was just like oh my God I miss all these things that I used to be able to do. I miss seeing friends and family. I miss going out to restaurants. I….you know, all these various things. And now it’s very funny, you know we just…I was just talking to my wife about, you know, this sort of like, OK, what do we do first, when like we can go do something out of the house? And it was so…such an alien thought at this point that I was like, I don’t even know what, like I guess go to a park with our kid and like see friends who have a kid and? It was just…it’s become so….you know, in this little over a month for me, it’s become this sort of thing that I’m just so…I feel so used to at this point that it’s like, it’s very weird. And I’m a very extroverted person normally and I like to go out and do stuff and it was just so strange to kind of start to think about, you know if that light at the end of the tunnel that you had mentioned is coming along like….what is that, what am I even gonna do? And I’m not sure. Like I might just stay in my house a little longer just ’cause I don’t know what else to do.
A: Oh God, well, I don’t know. It’s funny, last week I was good, this week I’m like more, just like not as good? Definitely it’s starting to weigh on me more. It was weird, like yesterday the park near my apartment was a lot less full. And like it’s never been so full that I’ve been nervous about being…like taking a walk through it with Naomi but like it was like oddly less full at the time when it usually is….like it used to be like the last few weeks people would be out there from 5:30 to like 7. So like everyone would shut off their Zooms, close their computers and like decided to go outside for like an hour and a half or so. And like this week it seemed like less and less people were in the park and the weather is still…it’s a little cooler but still nice. And we were trying to figure out like why? And we’re like….and Naomi was like, I think it’s just people are starting to be hit by this like whole weight of….the….you know we don’t….it’s been so long, you know? And maybe they’re just like fuck it, I’m just staying inside. And so that’s kind of hit me this week and I was like God I gotta get out of this. Like all I really want, like it’s really weird, the one thing I’ve been craving more than anything else – this is gonna make Cat very happy, is a draft beer.
E: Mmm.
Z: Ahh.
A: Like I can make good cocktails at home, I have a pretty good selection of wine, but like I really….I don’t have a draft system! I just wanna go to a bar and get a really good beer on draft. That’s all…you know what I mean? There’s just something about that that I’m like that’s something that I miss. And I didn’t do it like all the time before this, but like when I did it it was always great and now I’m just like… that’s all I can think about. Like all I can think about.
Z: A thing I miss is being able to tell someone else, yes I would like this. To be able to turn my attention from whatever that thing is and then to have it show up in front of me, you know two to five minutes later. And it’s like, I am the by and large the bartender in the house, the sommelier in the house and when and where appropriate I guess the person who opens the beers in the house and so it’s like…not that I mind. But it is this weird thing that I miss of like, “yeah, I’ll have a Manhattan” and instead of saying “I’ll have a Manhattan” and then going and making a Manhattan, I used to be able to say “I’ll have a Manhattan” and then a Manhattan would just magically appear in front of me.
E: Exactly.
Z: And I do miss that. I miss that sort of like….I guess if that’s my….if that’s the thing I miss I supposed I am fortunate in all of this.
E: Yeah.
A: I think you are, yeah. It is funny though, ’cause have you guys used delivery yet? I don’t know why but like we haven’t. We’ve really been cooking everything and the friends of mine who have used delivery have said at least it’s like that one like respite, just like, oh, like one night someone make the food that wasn’t me. You know? Or like did the cocktails. But we haven’t done it, have you guys?
E: Oh yeah, I’ve had….I’ve done pizza a couple of times, I mean now we’re out in Connecticut and there’s not that much delivery. So we’ve done pizza and we’ve done a barbecue night, a barbecue delivery and that I swear barbecue never tasted so good.
A: That sounds amazing.
E: Yeah, all I want is someone….I mean and I’ve got two kids too, so I’m you know cooking and my husband’s cooking, everyone is cooking all the time and the amount of dishes, shocking! Full time eaters in a house, never realized there were so many dishes.
Z: Oh yeah, I used…I’ve been running the dishwasher daily which is really, really weird for me, I’m sort of anti-dishwasher from a dispositional standpoint but it’s gotten to the point, just with two adults and a not-quite-two-year-old in the house we’re going….we’re running a load almost every day and it is wild. I haven’t done any delivery like you Adam, I’ve just sort of been like I’m gonna cook everything but it has been creeping up in the mind for both my wife and I because there are a few things, like barbecue for example that I don’t make at home, not having a smoker or whatever. So there are a few things that we’ve been craving that haven’t been able to have yet and so I think we’re probably gonna go down that road probably in the next few days frankly.
A: So….I think we’re gonna have to do it too. I mean like I don’t know what else I’m gonna do. Like at some point I’m just gonna have to get some delivery ’cause I’m getting sick of cooking dinner every night. So our, you know, subject for today’s podcast is you know, one of the groups of people that we have talked about a little bit but we haven’t focused on fully in the entire podcast since the coronavirus so probably the last five weeks and that’s the smaller producers, right? So we would call them in beer like the small craft producers, the small craft distillers, the small wine producers, and I know as we mentioned before there are a lot of the times people that are getting hit harder because a lot of their, you know, their focus has been on premise for so long. It’s…. building a brand on premise, you know seems to be a little bit easier, it’s a better spend of your dollars, right? You can get a few cases in and then it gets moved for you. You know some brands would disagree with that and say that they went off-premise and now were thinking that that was the great strategy but for the majority of like smaller brands most wind up on on-premise before focusing on off-premise. So a lot of them are hurting very badly right now. Whether that’s because kegs aren’t being purchased obviously, you know their wines aren’t being taken in and or their, you know, their spirits aren’t being used in cocktails. So we want to talk a little bit about like why….you know how we can support those brands right now. And also sort of the nature of like what could be coming next for them. Like what’s the outlook look like for a lot of these smaller brands. Zach? I know you have thoughts.
Z: I do have thoughts, yeah. So, I think this is a really fascinating question and in interviewing a few people for the Covid-19 conversation series that we’ve been doing and just talking to other people throughout the industry, I think you’re already seeing a bit of divergence between those three categories, between beer, wine, and spirits. The wine people I’ve talked to are I would say a little less concerned in general, in part because you know wine by its nature is not a particularly perishable item and while some of them are definitely concerned about cash flow and that’s obviously a real consideration, there are enough that I have spoken to who feel like, you know if worse-case scenario means that they’re stripping down their sort of staffing, you know they’re not obviously having tasting rooms open, which means that they’ve laid off or furloughed or sort of reassigned people who might be working in tasting rooms, they are probably not working, interfacing with distributors very much but they might be doing more direct-to-consumer sales, which is obviously the most profitable outlet for them. They might be doing more delivery or online ordering in general. And most of them I’ve spoken to say, well, you know, for the most part besides maybe things like rosé, which is really seasonal and very kind of needs to be consumed relatively young in most cases, their product can hold and they might in 3, 6, 9 months be O.K. sort of unloading that product they might be O.K. And if it means that they take lower margins at that point that might be O.K. for them. Beer, though, I mean beer is to me the place where we’re seeing the most issue right away.
A: Yeah.
Z: If you’re not a brand that has a strong packaging portfolio, so you’re not canning and bottling and you’re just a small craft brewery that’s relying on, you know, tap room sales or, you know, brewpub or, you know, restaurant sales you are probably already basically close to the end, unfortunately. Or you’re having to pivot really quickly. And just…you’re right, Adam. You mentioned when we were talking earlier, you know no one has an at-home draft system so it’s not even like, even if you really love a brewery, you know your capacity to really take in much of their inventory is just so limited and you can’t, you know, how many cans and bottles are you gonna buy? A lot of beer is not super long lived in terms of its shelf life, and it’s just that beer is kind of I think the most precarious, and that’s my read on it at least. I think spirits are probably closer to wine, in terms of their shelf life. But they’re also the thing that in a lot of states are much harder, you know, even still, for people to get their hands on and frankly people drink a lot more wine and beer than they do hard alcohol.
A: Yeah.
Z: It’s just, you know, most people are not going to drink a cocktail or two every single day. Some will, you know, we might. But a lot of people just won’t do that.
A: I think a lot of people are at this point.
E: Yeah.
Z: Well, maybe so.
A: But yeah….
E: I….you know, I think that actually craft distillers, you know, I’ve talked to some people and one of the episodes I have coming up is with Brian Rosen from BevStrat and that’s a company that represents a lot of small distilleries and they kind of work as a sales and marketing arm to get them placed in restaurants, retail, etc. And one of the points that he made I think is really true, which is: small distillers, you know these independent guys they are lacking the kind of financing they need to get through months of lost revenue. So, a lot of these places, you know, they’re relying on the public tastings and tours, they are expecting that they’re going to have restaurant sales and that’s a huge part of their business. And with all of that closed and liquor stores being their really only outlet at this point, that they are not able to probably a lot of them bridge this gap of many potential months of lost wages, of lost income, and a lot of them also are pivoting to help make hand sanitizer and so forth. So, it’s a huge amount of business disruption I think across the three tiers, but I think distillers will also be pretty hard hit.
A: Yeah, I think the biggest issue for a lot of them, the distillers and craft beer especially as Zach was saying is that for them too, first of all most people haven’t gotten the PPP that was supposed to come. Right? So, the money as of….as we’re recording today on April 16th has run out so we’ll wait and see if congress is able to re-up that funding. But you know what a lot of them have said to me is like all that’s doing is allowing them for two and a half months to hire people back, to do who knows what? It’s just to put people back on their payroll, but it’s not covering or helping them cover all the losses that they’re making or all the lost, you know, sales of products, food, etc. if they had a restaurant. And then if they don’t open for the next two and a half months, they’re basically back to square one which is zero revenue again and trying to figure out what the hell they do. And its…its crazy, right? So the big question becomes like, how are these people going to survive and what does the path forward look like? Because I think for a lot of these places it’s dire, because for some of these smaller producers especially on the beer and distilling side, because like you said they’re basically half…a lot of them are half-restaurants, half-tap rooms, half-small brands, right? Because a lot of times the law allows for that, and so right now they’re not able to get a lot of their products out there. I would say one of the best ways, hopefully, is for us to really lobby Congress. Right? I think like we need to basically start contacting our congressional leaders and say you need to do more to support these industries. Right? Like these are vital industries to the communities, especially in terms of the breweries, right? Like we talk about them a lot as being local gatherings for families and friends, etc. They’ve kind of become places where it’s acceptable to bring young kids at some points during the day and you can get together with people and like they need help and the only real way I can see that is through law. And so I think a lot of that is gonna have to start happening really soon is like we need to start calling our elected officials and saying, “what are you doing to help?”
Z: Yeah, and I think one of the big points to emphasize here is you know, we’ve talked a lot about, in the past on the podcast you know kind of how people are still drinking, people are still obviously having wine and beer and spirits at home. But one of the big things that’s changed, and I know we’ve talked about this and it’s as Erica mentioned it’s in upcoming episodes of Covid-19 Conversations, is a lot of that drinking has really shifted to some of the most well-known brands. I mean those were always obviously the dominant brands in the marketplace but it’s even more extreme now than it used to be, in part because as I mentioned before some of these smaller producers just have no real way to get their product in front of even consumers who want it. But a lot of it too is just so many of us are….what we do and access is so circumscribed by what the grocery store near us happens to carry or what the delivery service in our area happens to stock and we have so much less agency than we’re used to. And that’s why I think Adam’s advice on talking to your congressional representation in your state, government as appropriate is really good advice. Because unfortunately this is one of the few times that I can really think of, maybe the only time I can think of where you can’t do what I often encourage people to do in these situations otherwise, which is sort of vote with your dollars. Because a lot of the products that I might want to support, I really can’t or if I can its extremely difficult.
A: Yep.
Z: Or I have to really seek it out and I wish I could say to people, “Oh, there’s an obvious solution.” I mean, I definitely know that some smaller producers in the Seattle are looking at finding ways to kind of partner together to sell product when and where possible. They’re trying to get, you know, aligned with some of the restaurants that are still doing delivery and are offering beverage delivery as well. They’re working to get in front of local grocery store chains that are smaller. But again, think about this, right? One of the sort of advantages of being a buyer as I was for years is you taste with your representatives. You know you taste with people from distributors, from individual producers. That’s not something you do very…you can’t really do anymore, right? Like it’s not safe to be in close proximity to these people. Yes, maybe you can get a sample bottle and that’s a thing although that’s also an expense for the producer, although maybe one they’re willing to take on, but it really does encourage and has encouraged the sort of mindset of we’re not gonna make any changes to our inventory. We might re-order ’cause we’re selling through things, but we’re not gonna bring in new product, we’re not gonna change our product mix-up, we’re just gonna kinda keep doing the same things we’ve been doing to get by. And that’s fine on one level, but it really does disadvantage producers who don’t have a massive distribution chain that’s, you know, nationwide.
E: Definitely. I mean I think one of the best things that we, you know, Zach I know that it is like an additional step or two but I do think it is worthwhile, to go on social media if there’s a brand you like. You can look on their social media channels, like right now I just opened up my feed a couple of minutes ago and there’s a post from Privateer rum and Maggie Campbell who’s the distiller there, you know she’s doing “Ask me anythings,” she is doing all sorts of face-to-face kind of interactions. Whether they’re Facebook lives or what have you and I find that this moment distillers, winemakers and brewers are more available and more in front of their customers than ever before. One of the episodes we have coming up on the Covid-19 podcast is with Dan Petroski, who is a wine maker at Larkmead and Massican and Massican is a small winery that he owns. He said, you know, for the first time in his…with his newsletter he gave out his cellphone and people have been texting him and calling him and just talking with him. And while he did it out of, you know, really a sense of wanting to connect with his consumers, at the same time that has led to conversions and that has led to people literally calling him to seek out where they can find his wines and how they can buy them. So I do think it is a very useful piece of advice to check your social media feeds, any brands that you’ve had before that you like and that you want to support, they are more than willing to hop on the phone with you or to direct message you and tell you where you can find their product. Because there really is no good way that….I mean, I’ve researched, we’re doing an article on it, we are trying to research what are the best ways to support your local businesses and the best way we’ve found so far is to reach out to them directly.
A: Totally. I mean I really….it really seems to be the only way and it’s the way….even if there are other ways, it’s the way that they receive the most benefit, right? ‘Cause no one else is taking a cut, no one else is really involved at the middle man, you know, it’s just getting to them and saying like how can we help if we can? And then its supporting legislation down the road that helps people survive this. ‘Cause I think the biggest thing we need to really think about is there’s help now but there’s also help that has to come at the end, right? And so, once this is over and we’ve re-opened, what programs are we providing for people? ‘Cause like there’s a lot of breweries I love. There’s a lot of like, you know, wineries I love. I can’t buy them all once this over. You know? Like I can run and do everything at the same time, which is why, you know, I am fearful that a lot of people that do not deserve to go out of business will go out of business, just because like there’s just not gonna be enough people that are gonna come…go to every place they love right when this this is over. And so, you know, getting on your phone and calling your congressperson and calling your senator is really, really important.
E: Yeah.
A: Yeah. And it’s also the only way that you can, as Adam is saying, save this entire industry as opposed to a select few particular brands that you happen to care about, you know? I think it’s important….you know, I think look, there’s a reality that we have to face here, which is that there’s going to be, there already has been and there will be attrition that comes out of this, you know? Any incredibly traumatic, stressful period of time whether it’s a…just a purely financial crisis, a health crisis, or both is going to just inevitably cause some businesses, some producers that we dearly love to go out of business because it’s just there’s no two ways around it.
E: Yeah.
Z: But for trying to keep, you know, the previous….pre-Covid sort of landscape that I think we all really appreciated in this country, you know a really diverse set of producers of beer, wine and spirits, the likes of which we’d never seen in this country prior, we have to…yeah, it has to be a community but also a sort of national effort to keep those things alive. And it’s not just with this industry, obviously there’s lots of other industries where this is true. But obviously this is ours and the one we feel passionate about. And Adam is right, you know, buying a bottle of wine, a bottle of gin or, you know, a six-pack of beer from a local producer is one, important and maybe slightly more rewarding immediately way to support them. But it is really true, you know, taking that time to reach out to your congressional leadership, to encourage people that you know, your friends and family to do the same. You know, that’s the only way that there’s going to be programs in place to keep these industries alive not just during this crisis but as Adam mentioned afterwards because there’s gonna be a lot of you know, essentially….there’s gonna be a lot, it’s gonna be a long time before these industries really get back to full strength.
A: And I want to be clear here, like I’m not talking about just, you know, people might be listening and they might be like “Oh, Adam’s sitting here and he’s talking about like handouts,” that’s not all that I’m talking about. I’m talking about the loosening of laws as well to allow people to continue to do the things that they’re doing now, right? So, we talked about this last week but I’m talking about us lobbying our lawmakers to say: hey, let’s allow cocktail delivery to continue until people get back on their feet. Or for the foreseeable future, or maybe forever, right? Let’s allow for a lot of these restaurants to also sell their bottles to go, right? So like if I come into the restaurant, I have a great bottle of wine that night, why can’t I buy that bottle of wine to-go at a 25% reduction in price or something from the list? Why can’t I do that?
E: Yeah.
A: And then I can take it home and enjoy it down the road. Like this will allow people to bring in more revenue now. Like those are the things that we need to be talking about.
E: Yes.
A: So that these businesses can find other revenue streams in the short term in order to, you know, make more money right when they open. And if we don’t do that, if we just say, O.K., everyone has to go back to business as usual prior to Covid-19, it’s gonna be really hard and we’re gonna lose more businesses than we should.
E: Yeah, and I don’t think we can go back to business until there’s a vaccine, like we can’t…I don’t think there’s a real tangible path forward for a lot of businesses. I mean imagine how far you’ll have to be spaced-out to really meet those social distancing guidelines. A lot of businesses will not be able to accommodate that. So its…I think yeah, I absolutely agree that the congressional and the governmental responses are going to be key to this. But I think that, you know, even with that there will be a big culling of a lot of businesses that we, you know, love and support.
A: Totally. Well guys, hopefully the moral of the story here is: talk to your elected officials. ‘Cause it’s gonna be the best way…I know we talked about this a few months ago when it came to the tariffs and it’s time now again. If you listened to us then and contacted your elected officials, thank you. Please contact them now. The hospitality industry as a whole, whether its craft producers like we’ve talked about a little bit today or just, you know, restaurants and bars in general is one of the largest employers of people in the United States. So, you know, it’s really important that we support this industry so that everyone can get back to work. So please, please, please call them and tell them to support the industry, it would be….it’s vitally important.
E: Yep.
Z: 100% right.
A: So, thank you guys so much for listening as always and Zach and Erica, I’ll talk to you next week.
Z: Sounds good.

Episode 7: “So FUCK You Seamus” - Julia
WE DIDNT GO TO TRIBAL YAAAY. Hopefully this means Tom is safe, I was really worried for him if we had to go twice in a row eek.
Now the plan is vote Evan off this round if we have to, then pray for a merge or a new swap or SOMETHING.
New Goal Bootlist:
13th: Evan
12th: (MERGE) Alex C.
11th: Ian
10th: Jason
9th: Caeleb
8th: Mitch
7th: Jones
6th: Mo
5th: Benj
4th: Julia
F3: Me, Tom & Jules
I really am nervous about Julia. She is SO attached to this og tribe war which I think is so not smart!! Also I know she says it's different but I still think throwing this challenge is exactly what Alex C. did to her so its kinda hypocritical yikes!
I'm also praying for Benj, I really want him to survive and make merge HDJDKDKD.
Ugh i hated voting michael but thank goodness it was him and not me oop. If we lose another challenge i am 100% on the chopping block. As the only other person who voted Caeleb instead of Noah im probably going next. Anywho i keep getting reassured that im safe but frankly im just hoping we can win this challenge and make the tribes even again.
youtube
why am I feeling bad for Evan? I feel really sorry for him, like he screwed up his game by leaking stuff to JJ and he is VERY pushy, but like... he means well and like, is being treated like JJ which he doesn't deserve.
I wanna like... try and throw him a lifeline, but I don't trust him to either leak stuff or cause problems eek. I'm feeling really worried about Jason & Julia, like I was horrible to JJ in my confessionals which YIKES I FEEL REALLY BAD ABOUT STILL EVEN THOUGH HE ANNOYED ME, but like... I feel like Jason/Ian as a pair and Julia as her confrontational self might be problems in a merge? I think they are a definite sinking ship and one I need to seperate myself from EEK.
I standby that Ian remains a major threat by the way, I've known it since round two, and when I have my chance? I will strike
in other news... I wanna do a eulogy for Michael. Our robbed budva siri brother!
it means I'm the last remaining tumblr survivor newbie from my original tribe which WHEW! Me, Jules, Caeleb and Evan are the only tumblr survivor newbies left in the whole game so we will have to figure that one out.
I think the way I see merge going is Alex C. or someone from the other side being like the merge boot and then it turns on Ian/Jason/Julia. And I will be apart of it, like I'll try and protect Julia, but Ian/Jason are obviously major threats and I have no opposition to them being separated.
This challenge is mcfreaking hard and whew I’m 100% throwing this challenge so we can send Evan out. We managed to win the previous immunity by just a 29 point difference that the hosts claimed that our tribe pulled ahead of in the last minute? Wow me, Ali and Tom did that. And now Michael is gone and I’m fairly confident either Mitch or Benj have the Budva idol. Well if we merge I can possibly rekindle my connection with them? I did talk with almost everyone on OG Budva. Well assuming Mitch still trusts me and he didn’t found out that I was really gonna send him home before Jared went crazy oop
Evan then like gave us this ultimatum. Saying he will not sit out and he will give his all for the challenge. He also added he will be a number for any of us for merge?? I mean that could be just a ploy or not but the point is I don’t trust him! Heck, I’m not comfortable at all talking to him because he’s so direct and likes to pressure you for information. In any case, I’ll do the bare minimum for this challenge. But as for as all 6 of us are concerned if we don’t win immunity Evan’s going. Hopefully!
so um im trying to work with alex on this puzzle but i cant comprehend anything lol. He is talking complete gibberish to me
this game has cracked so many ppl i cant even explain. first madeleine, than jared, than jj, now evan LOL i cant
THE most stressful thing I've ever done was count to 1000. Like LOW FUCKIN KEY that shit had my insides TURNING. I'm proud I made it happen tho.
The idol wasn't there went I made it across the bridge, sad face. First thought was that it was Alex. It's crazy then to think that its one of the other three in OG Durmitor and I haven't caught wind of it yet. hMMMhmMHmm. But also I think that makes these next couple of tribals kinda interesting because if I want to do any real scheming I gotta be REAL nervous about whom I am talking to.
I don’t get why my conscience is screaming at me rn. Probably because I’m still trying to throw this challenge even tho I feel kinda bad about it >.>
If i dont win this challenge im actually dead lol but its ok!!! People wanted me gone from the beginning and it is no shocker that they would want me gone now. Anywhooo so this challenge is like IMPOSSIBLE so ya like rip me :(. Im trying to be productive but all im hearing is crickets.
okay so julia has BECOME WOKE AND WE ARE BACK ON THE JULIA APPRECIATION TRAIN!!
she is FINALLY, FINALLY onto that Ian/Jason are a dangerous duo, which makes me SOOOOO HAPPY going to merge, because I really didn't want to turn on her eek. The dream of a final five of me, Benj, Julia, Jules and Tom is back ON! its happening, I am fully, fully speaking it into existence.
Tonight, the vote will... presumably be Evan again? He just burned so many bridges in leaking to JJ and fighting everyone? I feel like he will just flip away if we try and work anything, it'll be fully FULLY a mess EEEEK.
in other, other news, I miss Benj! Like I'm at this point really loving working with Jules, Tom and Julia, but Benj I MISS HIM! he was my OG sane ally, and I haven't spoken to him in ages, he flipped on Budva and I'm so proud of him KSADFLASF.
Also, I legitimately left my tribe alone for ONE DAY to submit for ONE CHALLENGE, and we borderline don't submit? Like what is this? This is just mess and I'm so ready to swap out. I was also drunk messaging people and I forwarded a message in the tribe chat yesterday which was dumb, about Julia scalping me if I dont throw and I'm SURE somebody saw it. And I accidentally Cortana messaged too, something about 'its all good' that we didn't submit. THIS IS SUCH A MESS.
So... time to just make sure I didn't make a mess and keep an eye AHH. The summary: Julia is woke, Tom saw my drunk cortana messaging, Jules is a legend as always, Benj I miss him, Ian/Jason I'm coming for you, Alex C./Jones/Mo/Caeleb, see you on the other side, Benj I miss you and MITCH YOU TERRIFY ME. and Evan? I love you but its your time (or its mine, we will see JKLADSFA)
youtube
This isn't in reference to game Jason I just wanted to talk ab falsettos
youtube
It might be my last round but im hoping this blindside pays off. I know im getting MORE votes tonight (surprise surprise) but im hoping alex and jones pull through. They both came up with the idea so i would be bitter if it didnt work. MY only worry is that i havent spoken to alex about the vote at alll im just using blind trust
