Eternally Mine, Chapter 29
Tumblr media
Chris had arranged to meet with Louise in the park just after lunch time, it had quickly become one of their favourite places to go.
This time though, Chris was a nervous wreck, he knew he had to tell her about what he did, but he was terrified this was going to be the end. That she would never want to see him again. He had arrived far too early for the time they were meeting, he sat on the bench and kept nervously running a hand through his hair and wringing his hands together.
When he caught a whiff of her scent, he leapt up to his feet just as she came into view. God, she was so beautiful, she always made his heart skip a beat. The smile that spread across her face when she saw him, the way her eyes lit up… He felt awful for what he was about to tell her… for the monster he was.
‘Hey!’ She smiled widely as she rushed straight to him and embraced him, he tightened his arms around her as she buried her face against his chest.
Chris pressed his face into the top of her head, inhaling deeply. This was possibly the last time he’d be able to hold her like this…
‘I need to tell you something.’ Chris and Louise both said at the same time when she pulled her face away from him.
Chris raised an eyebrow in surprise, and she looked surprised, too.
‘What is it?’ They then both said together, making them both laugh lightly.
‘You first?’ Louise asked.
Chris sighed and ran a hand down his face, making her worry a bit. She realised he was a little uptight and didn’t seem quite right.
They sat down on the bench, Chris could barely look at her as he took her hands.
‘I… I really fucked up last night. I said I won’t lie to you, and I meant it. Which is why I need to tell you… I’ll understand if you never want to see me again.’ He swallowed hard as he felt a lump in his throat.
‘I went into a bit of a frenzy yesterday, I tried to control it… but I hurt… killed… seven humans.’ He managed to get out, still unable to look at her. ‘I didn’t even go to Toshi to help find humans that deserved a death. I just… went for the first ones I could find. I know I fucked up so badly, and it’s unforgivable. I can’t apologise enough.’
He was met with silence, Chris took a moment before he dared to look at her face.
Though she didn't move or try to take her hands away from his, he did notice shock flash over her face and her heartbeat spiked for a moment as she processed it, the realisation sinking in more just how dangerous vampires could really be. What was just a mere minute or two, felt like hours for Chris.
Louise felt his grip on her hands tighten a little, like he was worried about her letting go. She could see how beat up he was about it. It just took time for her brain to process everything, for her to also try and rationalise the situation.
He was a vampire at the end of the day. One of the originals, too. With much stronger feral instincts. Then she remembered their conversation the other week and she calmed a little more.
‘Chris…' She sighed a little. 'You told me before that you wouldn’t lie to me, and you told me that you couldn’t promise you’d never hunt innocents again… While it’s not great, morally. You are a vampire, it’s in your instincts, and I understand that. I really do. I know that it’s not easy either being around your soulmate and not able to carry out your urges…’
Chris just stared at her in disbelief for a moment, then he blinked and cupped her face, pressing his forehead against hers. ‘You don’t hate me? You don’t want to run away from me forever?’ He asked, his voice shaky.
‘No, not at all. Did you think I would?’ Louise asked, eyebrows up.
‘I did. I know it’s not good what I did.’ Chris leaned back a bit.
‘No, not really… Though you tell me not to apologise for something that’s not my fault. You need to take that advice too… It’s not your fault that your vampire urges and instincts needed to do that. I guess us sleeping together probably didn’t help?’ She asked quietly.
‘Not exactly… At the time, I felt so at peace and calm with you. Though it started to kick in afterwards, the strong feelings… The urges. I needed an outlet, I was scared I was going to do something bad or wrong towards you. That I’d take things too far… I had to make sure that wouldn’t happen, so I took it out on the first humans I could find.’ He said honestly.
‘Well, I won’t act like everything is absolutely peachy because I know it’s not ideal from a human point of view… I know that you are trying though, that this is a different situation for us. I know I’m not helping matters by holding off.’
‘No, no. It’s not your fault at all. This is my issue, even if you were to never want to get intimate that is your choice, not for you to worry about.’ Chris said firmly as he gently cupped her cheek.
‘Never get intimate? That won’t be the case… Have you not seen yourself?’ She blushed hard as she smiled.
Chris laughed. ‘Well, even if it’s years down the line, we will only do it when you are one hundred percent ready.’
‘I know… Though I know it’s not helping your situation out, we can’t deny that. I want to… I just… With him as soon as we got intimate in the bedroom that’s when things went to shit. And I absolutely know and trust you, I know that won’t happen with you. There is just this small niggling bit in my brain that just won’t let me yet. Like I’m scared this happiness will suddenly vanish, which I know is so stupid… I will get over it, I just… don’t know when.’ She said sadly and looked down.
‘You don’t need to explain to me, pumpkin. I understand completely, and like I said I will wait for an eternity if that’s how long you need.’
‘See, this is you… Yesterday was just a little slip up. Please, don’t beat yourself up over it.’ Louise pleaded.
Chris smiled and brushed his thumb against her lower lip. ‘What on earth did I do to deserve you as my soulmate, hmm? The most beautiful being and soul.’ He said softly as he leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips, making her heart flutter.
‘I’m guessing you’ve not told Loki?’ She asked.
‘No… Toshi and Severus said I probably shouldn’t.’ Chris said sheepishly.
‘No, definitely not. Let’s not tell Claire, either. I mean, I think she’d understand too, but she might slip around Loki. I wouldn’t want her to have to keep something like that from him.’ Louise said determinedly.
‘Are you sure? I wouldn’t want you to be put into a position where you have to lie to your sister.’ Chris frowned.
Louise shrugged. ‘I just won’t mention it. If she asks me outright if you did it... Then I’d maybe struggle, but I doubt she will. I guess people will just think it’s rogue vampires again?’
‘That’s what I’m hoping for. Are you sure about this?’ Chris asked.
‘Absolutely.’ Louise nodded. ‘I also… I don’t think it will happen again, well, not as bad maybe anyway.’
‘What makes you say that?’ Chris frowned.
‘Well… I’ve been thinking... and I spoke to Claire a little bit about it, too. I want you to bite me, to feed from me.’ Louise blurted out excitedly, though she tried to keep calm.
Chris’ eyes widened like saucers. ‘You… what?!’
‘I want you to bite me.’ She repeated, a bit more shyly this time.
Chris’ heart started racing and his mouth began watering at the mere thought, though he mentally slapped himself and kept calm. ‘What… Are… I… You…’
He coughed to clear his throat and try again, Louise giggled at his flustered-ness.
‘I hope you’re not just saying this after what I did?’ He asked.
‘Not at all, I have texts to prove I was speaking to Claire about it this morning if you want.’ Louise said honestly.
Chris chuckled lightly and shook his head. ‘I believe you, pumpkin… I just… It’s not something to be taken lightly, it’s probably more intimate than sex is, to be honest. For me, anyway.’ He rubbed the back of his head.
‘I thought it would be… I do really want to let you, though. I’m ready. Plus, if it does help to calm things down with you, then, why not?’ Louise asked.
Chris tapped his knee in thought for a moment. ‘You’re sure you’ve thought this through thoroughly?’
Louise nodded. ‘I’ve been thinking about it since I came back after Christmas, non-stop thinking about it.’
He knew she was being truthful, he could tell by her heartbeat. While it was a little faster because he could tell she was a bit excited talking about it with him. He knew she wasn’t lying.
‘I won’t lie, I’ve thought about sinking my fangs into you from the moment I first laid eyes on you.’ He purred, making her stomach jolt. ‘I know you’re going to be irresistible, so you will be unleashing the monster. I won’t be able to get enough of you.’ He said in a playful tone, though with warning too.
‘Claire has told me a little about it, I'll be prepared.’ Louise blushed.
Chris went silent again, pondering. ‘Ok, one condition though. We wait and do it Friday night? I want to make sure you’re ok after it, so at least we’d have the whole weekend for you to recover and I can look after you.’
Louise’s heart melted completely. Though then she worried a little. ‘Would it really take the whole weekend to recover?’
‘Not entirely. It depends on multiple things. How much I take from you, if you’ve eaten and hydrated well or not. Usually recovery is just a few hours, if that. If done right. Though I just want to be extra careful, you are so precious to me, I’d never forgive myself if anything happened to you.’ Chris said as he picked up her hands to kiss.
‘Well… Friday it is then.’ Louise smiled widely. ‘Your place or mine?’
-
Claire let out a squeal of excitement as she read a text from Louise, causing Loki to jump out of his skin and drop the book he’d been reading, it fell down the side of the bed onto the floor.
‘What? What’s happened?’ He asked, alarmed.
‘Chris is going to bite Claire on Friday!’ Claire said excitedly.
‘Oh Jesus.’ Loki groaned and ran a hand down his face as he sank back down to the pillow.
‘What? It’s a good thing, isn’t it? They’re taking another step in their relationship, plus it might help calm Chris down.'
‘Yes… Though Chris is going to be a bloody nightmare to deal with for the whole week.’

Hi! Can i request hcs or a drabble for all might x f!reader, where the reader is the spouse of one of the faculty (midnight or aizawa, mebbe?) And they strike up a friendship over pre quirk comic books and old American movies and music. You can have it go in any direction you like, platonic or angsty or fluffy or yandere (just no cheating pls). Thanks a lot!
All Might x F!Reader Platonic friendship Aizawa x F!reader SFW Word Count: 662
Tumblr media
Everyone knew you around the faculty, you were Aizawa’s wife, the more approachable person in the relationship. You’d come to after work drinks with the group and that’s where Toshinori had met you, he’d been wearing casual clothes, a T-shirt with one of his favourite old school movie characters printed across it and you’d gotten so excited. You’d spent most the night talking to the lanky man about old movies, pre quirk classics.
Aizawa had never showed an interest in any of it, and it was difficult to info dump on the dark-haired teacher but Toshinori loved it, he was just as animated and into the conversation as you were. You’d become good friends almost overnight.
“Talking to my wife again huh?” Aizawa glanced at Toshinori as he grinned down at his phone, texting aggressively about the reboot of one of your joint favourite movies “Ah, yes, sorry Aizawa, I mean nothing by it” He waved his hands and even offered the sleepy man his phone to go through. “No, it’s fine, she always does the same, offers to let me read” He hummed and slumped further on the sofa.
“She doesn’t get on with other woman that much” He began, itching his neck and glancing over his capture weapon at Toshinori who nodded “And hell, if I can’t trust the Number One hero with my wife who can I?” Aizawa chuckled softly letting his eyes close, maybe a power nap before the next class..
--
“Thank you for getting tickets Toshi!” You beaned ear to ear as you stood in line to the movie, both of you in matching shirts looking like total nerds. “Oh it’s fine!” He smiled and coughed into the hand, a deep wheezing sound. You held his elbow gently and offered a gentle smile “Ah I am fine, please don’t worry yourself”
“Well, I do worry, your my best friend” He seemed to blush at your admittance. He’d never been close to woman and to have one as a best friend was new to him. He adored you, he’d do anything for you but he was happy to always be on the side-lines of your life.
He’d disliked Aizawa at first, everyone knew that the way the other teacher conducted his classes had always bothered him but after getting used to it and knowing Aizawa was a good man deep down he relaxed. He was glad there was no left over animosity between him and the erasure hero, it would have made this friendship difficult.
“I’ll be fine once we are inside” Toshinori tried to reassure you.
Once inside you both bought a large soda and popcorn to share, sat in good seats at the back, he needed more legroom than most after all. The entire time during the movie you’d grab his arm, pointing out certain bits in the movie, you’d whisper to one another when something didn’t match up to the old version. He watched you, how your eyes lit up at the action scenes, he was glad he was able to bring you out tonight, make you this happy.
“Wow that was better than I expected. I really like that one character who was a hero despite no quirk” You hummed in awe thinking about the movie as you walked out the theatre with him. “Me too, imagine quirk users being a minority, it’s strange” the tall man added as you nodded along.
“So, I should let you go back to your husband now huh?” He offered you a hand for a handshake, he could be so awkward sometimes. You rolled your eyes and hugged him. “Thanks for a lovely night Toshi, I’ll text you later, ok?” He nodded watching you rush over to the carpark where Aizawa leaned on his car waiting for you. He gave his co-worker a polite nod.
It was okay being left on the side lines if it meant getting to be in your life one way or another.

Trust - Part 4
Tumblr media
Shoto Todoroki x Reader
warnings - swearing, drinking, smoking, depictions of unwanted groping/manhandling

Tumblr media
Mei was right, this dress was the best choice. It was a deep red, tight against my skin, stopping mid-thigh. The flesh plump as it spilled out the bottom. It had thin straps and a low-cut neckline, showing off my collarbones and cleavage. The two features I believed were my best.
I paired the outfit with black strappy slip ons, nothing too fancy. Something comfortable in case I needed to make a run for it.
As 7 o'clock drew closer my stomach flipped and twirled with nerves. My brain still not comprehending why I would agree to go as Sen's date. Why would I want to go to a party on someone's arm, that someone with who I hadn't even really seen this outside world with. Our meetings usually being in our dorms late at night or the occasional trip to the school supply cupboard.
I looked back in the mirror, adjusting my silver jewelry and swiping smudged lipstick from the corner of my mouth. Giving myself a once over as Mei burst into the room, red cup already in hand as she slammed the door shut again.
"Oh as if, how do you look that good?! Bitch!" She exclaimed, coming up behind me and putting her arms around me, hugging me close, her breath already smelling like various types of alcohol.
"Party started early huh?" I said, turning around and accepting her hug as she slumped into me.
"I'm nervous..." She whispered, her mouth hovering over my ear as she stood taller than me, thanks to the chunky heels she decided to wear to match her tight black dress and matching black corset. Her love of steampunk carrying over to all her outfits.
"About?" I asked, relieved that I could help Mei with her situation and get my mind off my own situation.
"I think I want to lose my virginity tonight. To Iida. Like both of us, lose our virginity to each other, but I'm so nervous that I already had 4 beers, 3 shots and half of a cocktail." She said quickly, her face quickly flushing red, from both the drinking and her confession.
"Okay, that's nice. Why would you be nervous? Tenya has been your boyfriend for a while now, he would kiss your feet if you asked him."
"I just don't want to disappoint him because I'm an inexperienced little virgin." Mei said, dropping onto my bed and putting her head in her hands. I didn't mean to but I laughed, a small chuckle that drew Mei's attention to me, tears brimming her eyes.
"You are amazing, regardless of being a virgin or sleeping 60 people. It wouldn't matter. You are an engineering genius with a heart of gold. Tenya is lucky to have you and I know for a fact that he worships you. Whatever happens between you will be exactly what is meant to happen." I said, reaching up and brushing a stray tear away. A smile appearing on her face as she shot out and hugged me again.
"I love you." She said, and I flinched. Even though Mei would be one of my best friends those words had never left either of our mouths before. I tightened my grip on her and whispered back.
"I love you too."
                                                               *
My body shook, the nerves almost proving too much for me as Sen and I walked hand in hand towards the 3A dorm. The tall trees that lined the walkway seeming to close me in.
"Are you cold?" Sen asked, his hand coming up and cupping my face, brushing his thumb across my cheek. I shook my head, not 100% sure if I could form a sentence. Though the air was crisp it was nice, the cold always keeping me calm and focused. And in the famous words of Cardi B 'A hoe never gets cold' and I would take that advice to the grave, because even though I did have a jacket I knew that there was no way I was going to wear it and give up how good this outfit looked.
I heard the music before I saw the lit-up building. The music was loud and being carried at least a kilometre away from the hero dorm. The sound only coming across as a beat no actual words.
"Wow, looks like they went all out!" Sen said, his hand tightening and pulling me forward, towards the doors. My heart was beating in my chest as we got closer, my feet getting heavier as we got closer.
A body came into view, the body of a person who I knew almost as well as myself. Hitoshi was sitting on the second last step, long legs stretched out as his long fingers glide across the screen of his phone, lit cigarette hanging from his lips.
"Are you so drunk already that you've started smoking?" I asked, sitting down next to him and sipping whatever drink was in his cup. Almost forgetting about Sen as he caught up and sat down next to me, his hand resting on the bare skin of my thigh. Hitoshi noticed but didn't say anything, just raised his eyebrow.
"Nothing goes down smoother than a Winnie Blue after a few drinks." Hitoshi stated with his signature lazy smirk.
"You are so philosophical after a few drinks." I giggled. Feeling Sen's hand tightening around thigh. I couldn't read his face, so for a quick moment, I used my quirk. Feeling for his emotions, wanting to know exactly what was going through his head. I was hit with a wave of nerves, then excitement and then when he looked over at me and our eyes met it was love. I quickly stopped using my quirk and smiled at him, not wanting him to catch on that I had just read his emotions. I always felt like it was a small invasion of privacy. Being able to feel and influence people's emotions.
"Ready to head in?" Hitoshi asked, getting up and flicking his finished cigarette away. Brushing off the back of his dark jeans.
I jumped up and made my way up the stairs, turning around and extending my hand to Sen, watching his face light up as he reached me.
The atmosphere hit me in the face as I pushed open the door and let the lights, music and smoke hit me. The lights were dimmed and various strobe lights were hung up in the corner of the room. Students from all the 3rd year classes were all over the common area, drinking and talking. Some people already making their way over to the makeshift dance floor.
"Finally made it." Tsuburaba said, coming up and handing me and Sen a drink. Whatever was in the red cups was unclear. Without thinking too much about it though I sipped the drink and was pleasantly surprised to taste what seemed to be vodka and lemonade. Thankful it wasn't whisky or scotch or the god-awful homebrew that Tsuburaba somehow gets his hands on.
"You look great Nanase, how Sen landed someone like you we'll never know." Tsuburaba said, whistling in my direction and earning a swift punch from his friend.
"Thanks, but it's the other way around really." I said back, looking up at Sen, smiling, his face handsome under the low light. It wasn't a lie, Sen was too good for me. I was the arsehole who seemed to be leading him on. His face growing red as he smiled down at me, his hand cupping my face again.
"I'm gonna go see the guys. You wanna come?" Hitoshi asked. By the guys I assumed he meant Denki and the other boys of 3A, the host of the party. Oh so graciously opening up their dorms to the rest of us.
"Yeah, I'll come! I'll find you in a minute?" I said to Sen, already being pulled away by Hitoshi. He just nodded and watched me with a sad smile on his face. My attention being pulled towards the rest of the party as we made our way further into the dorm.
"So... Is it official?" Toshi asked, his hand on my waist as we made our way through the crowd of people. The kitchen where Denki was coming into view.
"No, he just asked if we wanted to come together and I said yes... Nothing is official."
"His face says otherwise."
"So do his emotions." I quietly admitted, hoping the music would drown out my answer.
"You used your quirk on him?" Hitoshi asked, his eyes wide with surprise.
"Yeah, I just wanted to get a quick read on whatever he was thinking, it didn't last long. I stopped nearly as soon as I started." I admitted, still pushing my way through the sea of people.
"Did you like what you felt?"
"Not even a little bit." I said quietly, dropping my head as we made it to the kitchen, feeling Hitoshi squeeze my side reassuringly. Knowing that I would tell him everything as soon as I knew exactly what was happening.
"Oh here she is! The real life of the party!" Denki yelled as we made it into the kitchen, his drink raised high as he jumped off the counter, walking over with his arms outstretched. I gladly hugged him back, squeezing his shirt between my fingers as we hugged.
I took in my surroundings. Everyone seeming to be having a good time. Glasses full and the music loud. The constant chatter of the party-goers filling my ears as well as the music.
When I looked across the dance floor to Sen he hadn't moved, still engaged in a conversation with Tsuburaba as they sipped their drinks. The thing that did surprise me was Shoto Todoroki, sitting on one of the couches lining the dance floor, Bakugo seated next to him. His eyes staring at me, not leaving mine as I turned around and filled up a cup.
                                                               *
Hours passed, filled with drinking, dancing and friendly chatter with the other 3rd years. Sen never too far away from my side. Throwing back whatever drinks Tsuburaba handed him. His nerves sometimes seeping into me with the help of my quirk. Nervous about what I didn't quite know.
Hitoshi was also never too far away, watching me and Sen intently, occasionally asking how everything was going. Hitoshi Shinso, ever the father figure. Bringing me water and making sure I ate whatever food Momo and Ochaco had made.
I stumbled over to an empty couch, in one of the quieter corners of the room. Not as smoky or loud as the rest of the common area.
"Hey nerd." Bakugo said, sitting down next to me on the couch holding his beer above his head as he took a swig.
"Take's one to know one."
"Hey! I'm not a nerd, you just looked lonely."
"Oh I'm sure that's why you found the quietest corner in this whole place."
There was silence as he decided how to respond.
"Fuck you! I live here!"
Over the last 3 years Katsuki Bakugo had became my friend. Despite his gruff exterior and foul mouth, I broke him down with my rapier wit and persistence. Claiming him as a friend, even if he denied it.
I rested my head on his shoulder, feeling brave in my tipsy state. Half expecting him to flinch away or yell. But it never came, so I rested my head and watched the party continue to unfold. Mina and Aoyama currently having a very heated dance battle as we looked on, the latter sending rays of light from his mid section for dramatic affect.
"So the big 3 huh, congratulations!" I said.
"As if there was ever any doubt." He replied, a cocky smirk gracing his lips as he looked over at me.
The big 3, three third-year students at U.A. who stand at the top of the entire student body in terms of strength. Watching Bakugo over the years, I couldn't deny it, there really wasn't ever any doubt. The future hero proving himself at every possible opportunity. Same as the other two students who took up the other two spots in the big 3. Ochaco Uraraka and Shoto Todoroki.
Without meaning to I blushed, Todoroki flashing into my mind. His intense stare from earlier carved into my memory.
"I'm glad you are still my Hero Support person, your shit is cool." Katsuki said, taking another swig of his beer. His face turned away from me. I knew he meant it, I also knew that might be one of the only compliments he every gave me.
Before I could reply I was yanked up and into someone, a hand wrapping around my waist.
"What the fuck is going on here?" Sen slurred, his arm keeping me against him even as I tried to get away. Bakugo was already on his feet, looking at me, trying to gage how he should proceed.
"Sen, stop. Nothing was happening! Let me go!" I half yelled at him, still struggling against his grip.
"You heard her dickhead, let her go before you hurt her, or before I hurt you!"
Sen didn't reply to Bakugo, or let me go. He just crashed his lips against mine, shoving his tongue deep into my mouth. He tasted like beer and sambuca. No doubt the cause of his current drunken state.
"Why can't - like me" Sen tried to talk between kisses, his mouth still squished against mine.
My head swirled, the room spinning as I continued to push against Sen. His grip becoming bruising as I fought. The noises of the room were fading away and the only thing I could hear was the drumming of my heart. Beating so fast and loud, drowning out the music and what I think were Bakugo's shouts. Tear's swelled behind my eyes as he continued, his hands moving from my waist to the swell of my arse. Grabbing and pulling at my flesh. His hands causing the material to ride up.
Without another though I bit him, hard, drawing blood as he pulled back.
"You always were a bit of a freak." He chuckled, stepping closer to me, reaching his hand out.
"Stop! Get away from me!" I yelled at him. Bakugo stepping in front of me and pushing me behind him.
"You crazy fuck! What the fuck is wrong with you?" Bakugo shouted to him, his arm still firmly in front of me. His shouts drawing some people's attention towards us.
His shouts seemed to clear Sen's head, his smile dropping as he realised what he just did.
"Y/N! Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" He said, reaching out towards me again, tears brimming his eyes. Bakugo stepped back and moved me with him. Out of Sen's reach.
"Why? I like you so much! What is so bad about that? Why don't you like me back?"
"You'll let me fuck you but you won't be seen in public with me!"
I opened my mouth to reply but stopped myself. Not sure how I could respond in a way that would help the situation. My head still fuzzy from the alcohol and the situation I was just in. My eyes and legs heavy as Sen continued to yell.
"Say something! Say anything!" Sen yelled, fists clenched at his sides. Without thinking my quirk activated, a flood of emotions hitting me all at once. Anger from Sen and Bakugo, confusion from another direction and various other emotions that I couldn't place. It was like sensory overload, everything hitting my brain all at once, causing me to sway as I stepped back. Needing distance from this whole god dam situation. Not bothering to answer Sen as he called after me.
The only noise I registered was the ding of the elevator, not sure what floor I was on as I stumbled out, holding onto either side of my head. Trying desperately to stop the noise overtaking my brain. Even though I couldn't hear the music anymore every emotion that was being felt at the party was currently running through my brain, the pressure almost too much to handle. Tears fell from my eyes and my throat hurt as I yelled in an attempt to stop the noise, or get a handle on my quirk.
I shut my eyes tight as I slammed into the wall, falling against it as I slid down and bought my knees up to my chest, still screaming.
I didn't know how much time passed. Seconds? Minutes? Hours? My brain couldn't comprehend all the information that was currently trying to be filtered through it.
I jumped as something cold touched the side of my face, someone's forehead pressing against mine, cold breath fanning across my face. A voice broke through. A voice I couldn't place.
The cold calming me, making me focus on the icy sensation rather than whatever was going on inside my brain. The cold becoming my focal point. Pulling me back to reality.
"Y/N... calm down, please."
I kept my eyes shut, the cold sensation still overwhelming me as I started to settle. My breathing calming down, regulating. A cold hand pressed over my heart. A welcome sensation, as I opened my eyes.
Shoto Todoroki's two toned eyes stared at me. No, not at me, into me. His forehead pressed against mine. His breaths matching mine and blowing his cold breath across my face. The emotions slowly started to shut off, the feelings fleeting as they left me. Leaving me with only my emotions. The soft pulse of the music returning as I regained my senses.
I didn't move from Todoroki, I didn't want to. His forehead and body pressed against me becoming my anchor. I feared that if he moved, I would plummet back down into the well of everyone's emotions.
Against my better judgment, I let a tear slip down my face as I clutched to his arms that were still boxing me in against the wall, his large hands still holding my face as I leaned into him. At this moment, I needed him. More than I had ever needed anyone before.

The package took about two weeks to arrive which was perfect because you were able to fully porches that you were doing this and make sure that you got rid of any worry you possibly had
The night came and you knew Oikawa would be out just a little bit later than you so you pulled open the box and put the lingerie on before throwing a robe back on over top of your outfit and going to meet him by the door
He got home and kissed you sweetly before asking what you had done that day like he does every night, as you started to answer he tugged gently at the sleeve of the robe as if to ask what it was for, you blushed and smiled gently at him before slipping off the robe and exposing the blue material to him
Oikawa’s mouth dropped as his brain caught up, you were standing here in front of him dressed like that, it was a sight he wanted to keep in his mind forever, once it did he gave you a giant smile and told you that you looked stunning, you pulled  him into a kiss hoping he would get the message
He definitely did and picked you up, carrying you to the bedroom before laying you down gently on the bed, never once breaking the kiss
Oikawa brushed your hair out of your face before pulling out of the kiss and smiling down at you in complete disbelief, he asked you if you were absolutely sure you were ready to do this and you couldn't help but blush every time he asked before nodding gently and reassuring him that this was for sure what you wanted
Oikawa was so sweet and gentle with you that night, caring more about how you felt than his own pleasure, asking for consent and how you felt with each new step
When you were done Oikawa cleaned you up and got you dressed before carrying you back downstairs and set you on a barstool facing into the kitchen as you watched him cook an excellent dinner for the both of you, having you taste test it along the way and every time he looked up he smiled at you and told you that he loved you with everything in his heart
That night Oikawa held you closer than he ever had before, kissing your head, and asking if you regretted any of it
When you told him a solid no, that it was exactly what you wanted he was finally able to put his mind at ease and fall asleep
Ushijima
You had been ready to take the next step with Ushijima for a while and you knew that he was but he didn’t seem to be picking up on any of your hints, he wasn’t doing it on purpose, you were just too shy to tell him directly what you wanted and well Ushijima wasn’t great at just picking up on things like that
You’d tried to tell him several times but got far too shy to actually let the words escape so you figured you would show him instead
You went to a cute little lingerie shop and had an amazing time looking at all of the things and settled on a white lacey set that made you feel like you owned the world and that was enough to get it
You waited several days, nervous that he would find it or that he would be offended but then you gave yourself a little pep talk knowing that at the very least you got to show off your body to Ushijima
After dinner you went upstairs stealthily and changed into the lacey set and laid on the bed waiting for Ushijima to come upstairs
It only took a couple of minutes for him to come and try to find you and the moment his eyes locked on yours he couldn’t help but turn bright red and look away from you
“Toshi” you smiled nervously at him
Hearing your nickname for him made his heart melt as he stepped closer and bent down to pull you into a kiss
The kiss ended up getting heated as you pulled him onto the bed as he hovered over you as his hands roamed your body
Ushijima was gentle and sweet with you the whole night, making sure that you made sure that you were comfortable and ready for him before he even took his shirt off
Ushijima pampered you and made sure that you felt safe and that he showed you how much you meant to him
His hands were slow and gentle as he slowly guided you through your first time
When you were done Ushijima went and turned the shower on for you and let you clean yourself up while he changed the sheets and got out pajamas for you as well as turned on your favorite show
When you got out of the shower Toshi was right there helping you dry off and getting you dressed before giving you a sweet kiss and pulling you back into bed
He didn’t say much to you after but every action, from the way he placed you between his legs, to the way his arms wrapped snugly around your waist and held onto your hands showed that he loves you and that nothing could ever change that
The next morning he looked at you while you were both eating breakfast, “that outfit, I liked it,” he said
You knew that meant it had been on his mind, and boy had it been, Ushijima couldn’t get the sight out of his mind for weeks after, just hoping he would be lucky enough to see you dressed like that ever again, he loved it
Kuroo
You and Kuroo had talked about it before, you were both ready for your first time and you were comfortable making that next step, the only problem was that neither of you was quite sure on how to make that next move
You were pretty quiet and shy when it came to things like that so you didn’t know how to initiate the conversation but you knew that you wanted to take that next step
You remembered going out with Kuroo once to go bra shopping, when you were in the store he kept telling you how sexy he thought red was and your ideas sparked, you went back to the little shop and found the exact piece that you both had found sexy the previous time you were there
You were so excited that you couldn’t wait to show it off to Kuroo and see what he thought
You had gone over to Kuroo’s that night, but you slipped it on under your sweats hoping that you would get the chance to show it off
Kuroo had left to take his shower and you knew that this was the time to show it off, what excited you even more was that Kuroo must have been in the same mood because his hands were lingering a little bit longer than usual
You sat comfortably on the couch where he had left you and just pretended like nothing was happening, Kuroo walked into the room and you swore you could hear him malfunction
“Holy shit Y/n,” he muttered, his gaze never once leaving you as his lips curled into a smile
You found yourself getting blushy as his gaze lingered on you as he tried to commit every little detail of this moment to memory, he was unable to believe that you would dress up like this for him, he slowly moved closer and you felt a blush grow on your cheeks, Kuroo gave you a reassuring smile before pulling you up off the couch and carrying you upstairs, praising you and your body the entire time
Once you got upstairs he laid you down on the bed and began kissing you gently as he began undressing you
That night Kuroo was more gentle than ever, taking his time to make sure that you were ready for him and that this was absolutely what you wanted
When you reassured him enough he made sure that you completely enjoyed yourself and that you had the best time he could give you
Afterwards Kuroo made you go pee before pulling you on top of him and just holding you for the rest of the night, neither of you bothering to put any clothes on as he held you close and made sure that you fell asleep before him
Akaashi
You and Akaashi had both made it clear that it was something that this was something you had both wanted in your relationship and that you wanted to make your anniversary special so you had talked through it and decided that would hopefully be the night that the two of you shared your first time together
You were nervous and excited all at the same time, you wanted your first time with Akaashi to be as special as he made you feel
You already knew when the two do you wanted to do it but you wanted to make it extra special for the both of you so you decided to go with your best friend to pick out lingerie because you were nervous and she was the perfect support
She showed you the best styles and things that she knew you would be comfortable in but also complimented your body, you ended up choosing a red matching set that showed of everything in the best of ways
You decided to wear the set under your clothes and to the nice dinner the two fo you went to before you headed back to his place, wearing the lingerie made you even more excited than you already were because you just felt sexy
When you got back to his place and you started undressing each other you found yourself getting nervous that Akaashi wouldn’t like what he saw or think that you dressed up for him, little did you know that he had lit candles in his bedroom and put rose petals along the side of the bed to set the mood and make things feel more special for the both of you
He absolutely adored seeing you like that and it made him blush a deep red as he tried to contain himself from running his hands up and down your gorgeous body, Akaashi wasn’t great with vocalizing how much he liked it but by the way his hands lingered  and gently pulled the fabric off of you showed that he definitely wanted to see you in it again
That night you and Akaashi had the sweetest and most loving sex, he took extra care to make sure that everything had been perfect for the two fo you and you had the best night of your life with him
When you were done Akaashi grabbed you one of his t-shirts for you to put on and the put on a pair of shorts for himself before going to grab something
He came back with a little cake for the two of you that said happy anniversary on it as well as two forks
You both sat in bed eating the cake and talking for the rest of the night
When you got tired he pulled you lose to him and just rubbed your back and gape you little kisses on the top of your head until you fell asleep

shinso hitoshi x fem!reader
Tumblr media
[a/n: alrighty so I know it seems like I’m spoiling my baby @shinaus, and I totally am because she deserves the world, but I promise that I’ll get back to normal requests and some ideas I have soon BUT for now, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE! 🥳 Here’s a little gift for you, I just wanna say that I appreciate you so so much 💓 you’ve been here since the start pretty much and I thank you for all the kindness and support that you’ve given me, I’m so excited to see how our friendship will grow as we both progress in our blogs. i love u 🥺 here’s a little soft boy shinso for your birthday, and for anyone else who wants to read, so enjoy! -yours truly, bunnyy -`ღ´- ]
He knew who you were, he knew your name and order by heart. You came in almost every morning before your 9am lectures, then you would come in for lunch and do some homework before going back for your 1:30 lecture. So when you came in at 8am on the dot, your drink was all ready waiting for you.
“Morning Toshi.” He blushed at your sleepy little smile.
“Good morning (y/n).” He slid the cup of iced coffe to you. “And happy birthday.” He then slid a cake pop over to you. He hoped he got the date right, he vaguely remembers when you told him but he’s guessing that the expression on your face meant that he had been correct. The fact that he remembered your birthday made your poor little ole’ heart beat erratically in your chest. The way he tilted his head just enough to make him look like a confused kitten hadn’t helped either.
“O-Oh thank you, I can’t believe you r-remembered.” Your smile grew a bit wider when he looked away, sheepishly rubbing his neck.
“It’s nothing, really.” He noticed his cheeks starting to feel hot so he scrambled to change the subject. “So uhh what’s the rest of your day look like? You gonna go party it up at the club with a few friends?” The way your face fell just a bit made his heart ache.
“Well uhm not exactly, I actually didn’t plan on doing anything today.” There was a small silence that followed directly after you had said that because he was hoping to hear a ‘just kidding’ leave your lips but it never did.
“Seriously? You’re not gonna do anything?”
You shook your head.
“You’re just gonna go to your 1pm lecture later on then go home?” He honestly couldn’t believe it.
“Well not exactly. My professor actually cancelled so I’m just going to my morning class.” That still didn’t seem like a good plan. You sipped on your drink while he looked deep in thought. Seeing as this had happened from time to time during your many idle conversations, you just patiently waited until his idea was formed.
“That just won’t do.” He clicked his tongue, head shaking in disapproval. “I’ve got a plan.” You were intrigued to where this would go so you motioned for him to continue. “I get off at like 2:30 so why don’t I pick you up then and we go have some fun. Hmm? Whaddya say?”
“H-Have some fun? But what would we do?”
“That’s for me to know and you to find out.” He cheekily winked at you. “So? Sound like a plan?” As much as you’d want to argue that you didn’t want to waste his time, the little grin on his lips was enough to draw out a ‘yes’ from you.
After talking for a bit more and exchanging phone numbers, you left the coffee shop and made your way to the lecture hall. It was surprising to say, but you couldn’t concentrate for the life of you because you were excited. You were excited to hang out with Shinso, even if that little voice in the back of your head was saying he was doing it out of pity. You pushed the thought away and once the lecture was finally over, you rushed over to your dorm, excitement rushing through your body when your phone buzzed with a few texts from him.
From Toshi:
I should be by to pick you up around 3pm
Make sure to wear something comfortable
You had about an hour and a half to kill so you got some notes out of the way before starting to get ready. Now, did comfortable mean some sweats and a hoodie? Or did he mean more along the lines of a t-shirt and jeans? Opting for the safe option of jeans, you started to get ready. Your heart was thumping in your chest once more. It kinda felt like you were going on a date. You had let your mind wander for a bit, so much so that the second time the doorbell sound echoed through your place was what pulled you out of your trance. You quickly made your way to the front door and opened it to reveal a casual Shinso standing behind it. He looked quite good, well he looked good ALL the time but it was different to see him out of his work uniform.
“You ready?” Not trusting your words, you nodded and followed him out of the building. The both of you had walked in a comfortable silence before he turned to look at you. “Alright, so first item on the agenda. I thought we could go get some ramen because I don’t know about you but I am starving. But if your not down for ramen, I am so down to go for anything else.”
“No no, ramen works. I actually didn’t eat lunch so that sounds amazing.”
After having an amazing bowl of tonkatsu ramen and a pork bun or two, the both of you continued your journey. But as the two of you approached, you could tell exactly where you were headed.
“No way...” The way your eyes sparkled at the sight in fron of you made his heart pick up the pace. “I-Is this the Sakura festival?”
“You bet it is! I actually-“ He froze when you wrapped your arms around him, hugging him close to you and whispering a ‘thank you.’ Once you pulled away from him, he could see that a few tears had run down your face, she he carefully moved his hand to cup your cheek while his thumb had moved to get rid of those pesky tears. “Now come on, let’s enjoy the festival.” The softness of his voice made you swoon and since the both of you arrived when the festival had started, you both instantly made your way to the entrance. Now if you were to ask when exactly he had slid his hand into yours and intertwined your guys’ fingers, you wouldn’t be able to say when. It seemed like that’s how it was the whole time, not that either of you were complaining. When he’d softly run his thumb over your finger in an almost comforting manner, or when he’d squeeze tighter whenever the both of you were walking through a particularly crowded area, it all seemed like a natural reflex.
He had watched you eye a specific plushie a good 6 times before suggesting going over to the booth to play the game. It had seemed easy enough, get all four of the plastic rings around the neck of a milk bottle. Oh how wrong you were. You had played three rounds and lost three rounds. He hated seeing the pout on your face when you hadn’t made any points so when the both of you were waiting in line for some taiyaki he said he had to go to the bathroom and went off. You didn’t think much of it, too busy mourning over the loss of your desired plushie.
Meanwhile, Toshi had gone back to the booth to try and win the game. So far, he was four rounds in and still hadn’t made enough points. Just as he was going to give up, the booth attendant gave him a free pass at the game seeing as he had already spent so much money, so this time around he took a different approach. Instead of rushing into it, he took his time with each toss. So when he had made all four rings, a huge grin split his lips as he pointed out his prize.
“I wonder if he ate some bad shrimp in the yakisoba from earlier.” You mumbled to yourself. Even if you were still waiting in line, there was only two more people in front of you.
“Hey (y/n)!” You turned to the source of the shout and your jaw dropped. There stood Toshi with the cute squid plushie you wanted.
“Seriously? You won this for me?” He could see the way the tears in your eyes shone in the low light of the booth lights but you were far from sad. There was a genuine smile on your face as he nodded and held it out to you. He watched as you grabbed it and hugged it close to your chest. His chest filling with warmth as you nuzzled into the soft fabric of the squid.
With taiyaki, milk tea, and squid plush in hand, the both of you looked for a place to settle on the grass and get ready for the fireworks show to end the night. The both of you had settled against a tree trunk, sitting side by side. Shinso had grabbed your legs and rested them over his. Subconsciously running his hand over your knee as he munched on his taiyaki.
The both of you chatted as you waited for the show to start but as time went on, the colder the summer breeze got. He noticed that you were shivering quite a bit so he softly shoved your legs off of his lap and opened his arms. Your confusion was quelled when you saw his open arms, you ungracefully fell into his chest and wrapped your arms around his waist to absorb all the warmth he had to offer. He just chuckled and shook his head while holding you tight, rubbing your back in small circled to generate as much warmth as he could. He tried not to think about how you felt while pushed up against him, how he could just lean down and place a kiss on the top of your head.
Sadly, this hadn’t lasted very long. The moment the fireworks started you had sat up to be able to watch them clearly. As much as he wanted to watch the fireworks display, the ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ from the crowd enticing him to look, he just couldn’t tear his eyes from you. The way the explosions in the sky lit up your face, the pink tint on the apples of your cheeks and your nose, the way your eyes were wide with wonder, and the way your lips were curled up into a little smile. You were way more breathtaking than any firework could ever be.
“(Y/n)?” You tore your eyes from the glittering lights and turned towards him, blush painting your cheeks an even darker red when he was closer than you expected. Both his hands came up to hold your face, the pads of his thumb gently running over your cheeks. “Can I-.” He swallowed nervously, leaning in close enough to where your noses were touching. “Can I kiss you?” The fact that he even asked made you giggle.
“Of course you can, silly.”
Once he got the ‘okay’, he tilted his head a bit and brought you closer, your lips meeting his in the sweetest and softest ways possible. Your lips moving in sync as the taste of chocolate still lingered on your tongues.
“Mmm I knew you’d taste sweet.” He chuckled once the two of you pulled away.
“Oh yeah, how sweet?”
“I’d have to say sugary sweet but maybe even sweeter than sugar. I’d have to get a second taste to know for sure.” He shrugged innocently. You fondly shook your head, a squeak of surprise when he pulled you onto his lap. His hands were holding your hips while your arms wrapped around his shoulders, your fingers fiddling with the ends of his gravity defying hair.
“Happy birthday (y/n)...” you bit your lip to hold back your smile before releasing it and diving into another dizzying kiss.
Best. Birthday. Ever.

25 Dates of Christmas: Day Fifteen
Tumblr media
It started with a trip to the grocery store. As you wandered down the different aisles aimlessly just trying to waste time before your fiancé got off from his hero work. He was originally supposed to have the day off for you to spend together, but had to switch when Kaminari called off with food poisoning.
Who knew you could get sick from eating undercooked fish? Oh wait, you did, which is exactly what you told him but he didn’t listen.
Thankfully Toshi was promised to get the weekend off in exchange for coming in today which was a better deal anyways. Which brought you back to the present. Besides spending part of the weekend catching up with each other’s bodies, you had to find something fun for you to do.
That’s when your eyes landed on the box of Gingerbread houses. Your eyes lit up as a smile came to your lips. A plan forming in your brain before you even had them in your cart. What a fun weekend this would be indeed.
                                                           -
After spending a relaxing day and a half in bed catching up with Toshi you got up the next afternoon and set your plan in motion. You were extremely competitive and knew Toshi was too, so you hoped he would like the idea.
“What’s this?” He asked as he stepped into the living room mid stretch.
“We’re gonna have a gingerbread house decorating competition.” You shrugged as you finished setting up the table.
“Competition huh?” He asked, to which you responded with a quick nod. “What do I get if I win?”
“Winner gets anything they want.” You answered as you looked up at him giving him a wink. “Anything.”
“You're on.” He exclaimed, a smirk appearing on his lips as he sat down at the table and waited for you to give the go ahead.
“Alright start in 3, 2, 1!”
                                                             -
An hour later and you both finished decorating your houses. You went all out using every piece of candy you could, making it as colorful as the rainbow. Shinsou went in a similar direction as you, but used less candy and had his color coordinated. All in all both houses were beautiful and you were so glad that he did this with you.
“Alright so who decides whose is better?” He asked after you complimented each other’s masterpieces.
You gave him a smile before reaching into your pocket to grab your phone, facetiming the number at the top of your contact list.
“YN! Hi! I miss you!” Eri shouted into the phone as soon as your face came on the screen.
“Hi, beautiful. I miss you too, Eri.” You smiled at the camera as Shinsou let out a small laugh.
“Where’s Toshi?” She asked as she looked into the phone trying to find him in the background.
“Right here pipsqueak.” He answered as he gently grabbed your phone from you, giving the girl on the screen a smile.
“When can I come over? I miss you guys.” She asked, making you smile.
You loved Eri as if she was your little sister. To watch her grow out of her shell and become more comfortable with you had made your heart warm. When you first started dating Hitoshi she was already attached to his hip. Meeting you was scary for her, but she warmed up to you almost immediately. It didn’t take long for you to love the girl and soon you guys shared an unbreakable bond.
“Soon.” He promised as another voice joined the conversation.
“How’s next weekend?” Aizawa asked, causing a laugh to escape your lips. You knew Aizawa loved Eri as if she was his own daughter, but there was only so much My Little Pony and princesses the man could take.
“Next weekend would be perfect.” You answer, popping up in the background before Hitoshi could say no.
“Can I see your gingerbread houses now?” Eri asked with excitement after Aizawa handed the phone back to her.
You flipped the camera on your phone showing her each gingerbread house, leaving out who made which one.
“I like them both! A lot! The second one is my favorite though. I like that all the colors are together!”
Shinsou grabbed the phone and gave Eri a huge smile before telling her she picked his. She immediately started to apologize feeling bad that she didn’t pick yours.
“It’s okay, sweetheart. How about we decorate some more when you come over?” You offered with a smile trying to ignore Hitoshi’s smirk in the background.
“I’d love that!” She gives you a huge smile before ending the call.
You can tell without turning around that Hitoshi is smirking at you. You know without a doubt that whatever he asks for is going to involve you in a compromising position, but you for one couldn’t wait.

Warnings/Genre: No warnings! Angst, Slice of Life, Fluff(?) but tbh mostly angst
Word Count: 3.8k
a/n: This one is for my late mother, because I have been missing you lately. Hope you read this from the other side.
Click keep reading bc the whole fic is posted <3
You liked to take pride in the fact that most people noticed you took after your mother in many ways. After all, she was the woman who despite lived in a dying body, still had the heart to look at the world with the kindest eyes. Throughout your childhood, you watched her love bloom and nurture the hurt around her. Her hands healing, eyes loving, and heart always—always loving far too much for her withering body to take. And so early on in life, too early, you watch the same woman that you held above the universe quietly pass, an honest “I love you” spoken one last time for a man whose love never measured to a third of what she felt.
Her lips tilted to what looked like a ghost of a smile so you told yourself that you should be at peace with that. But only a year passed before you saw your father hold his new family within his arms, his lips singing praises of so much love and warmth that you couldn’t help but to feel your heart break for the woman who loved him more than herself.
That day you cry in your room, angry at the world, angry at your father, and anger at the fact that she deserved so much more. You remember her words, the ones that told you to “love someone who looks at you like they love you more than you love them”, her kind eyes, and feel your heart ache even more.
-
The second Ushijima Wakatoshi arrived in your life, the connection with him felt instant. Kageyama, a childhood friend of yours had been telling you about meeting his team because he thinks you would just love them. And true to his words, you did.  Less than six months after meeting Wakatoshi, the two of you had already blended your life with the individual rhythm you two held.
Meeting him felt natural, but you learned that loving him felt like coming home. He spoke to you like he would whispering a secret in your ear; gently. He loved you in a way that had you feeling like you were caught in a never ending high. And his eyes. Every day that you were with him, he looked at you in a way that never failed to assure you that his love was absolute.
And he proved his love to you every day.
In the evenings he’d come home late from practice, where you’d sit with him across the dining table watching him eat the reheated dinner you had cooked for the both of you hours ago, he’d let his gratitude be known to you by taking your hands in his and kissing your knuckles. The kitchen would be quiet save for the sounds of Wakatoshi’s chewing and utensils clinking against the plate. You’d be wearing his old volleyball jacket from his university days and in between chewing he’d look at you and comment on how it practically looked like you were wearing a blanket instead of a jacket. You figured you loved the small talk the both of you would stumble on within your day; being an adult and having your own different schedules to finish often meant that you both would just meet when the day ended.
But you took pride in the fact that the two of you found a way to make it work. Wakatoshi was a quiet man, sometimes didn’t understand the jokes you’d pull, or particularly prefer the movies you’d have on during date nights, but his complaints were absent. He’d mumble out that he liked seeing you happy more than caring about the movie, so that comment always had you blushing more than usual.
Wakatoshi spoke to you with the simplest words that seemingly sounded beautiful (from him, ofcourse). You had learned that after waking up next to him for the first time. 6ams in the winter meant that the sun just peaked over the horizon. So the first thing that greeted you in that soft winter morning light was Wakatoshi’s sleeping face inches from your own. You thought he looked beautiful as your hands trailed up and traced along the features of his face; thumbs brushing over his cheeks and the edges of his lips. Winters in Tokyo often felt too cold for you on a normal day, but that morning felt different. And that difference was personified in the way Wakatoshi’s arms somehow brought you closer to his figure, one hand under your pillow and the other resting on your hips. His smile was as soft as the way he spoke his “Good morning”, and “I love you”, and up until now, you can never truly forget or taint the memory of how that warmth flooded you.
So as he opened his eyes and looked into yours, you remembered the words your mom always told you and searched for the answer in his. And the answer came to you as your breath hitched in your throat because within the olive pools of his eyes you saw how the love he held for you igniting, flickering, and flourishing. You could feel the apples of your cheeks strain from the stretch of your smile as you felt the echoes of how hard your heart began to beat.
And in that same winter morning, the way he held you flush against him and whispered his I love yous over and over again—made the cold feel a little warmer.
-
On the third year of being together, he asked you to marry him on a spring afternoon, so you said yes and felt the telltale signs of tears prickling in the corners of your eyes as he slipped the ring on your finger and looked at you beaming. At first you thought that Wakatoshi looked beautiful under the golden hues of a setting sun, but really, he looked beautiful because the love lit in his eyes looked and felt like the licks of fire on a cold night.
So a year later, the day before you walked down the aisle, you visited your mother’s grave and spoke of the man who looked at you like you held worlds on your palms. Wakatoshi stood beside you, in his hands a bouquet of yellow flowers, and you smiled because a week ago he looked at a photo of a smiling woman sitting by a garden of yellow and asked if it was because they were her favorite.
“We’re doing well.” You say and stare at her name painted gold on her tombstone. Wakatoshi doesn’t let the silence stretch because he stands straight and bows deep next to you.
“Thank you for raising her well. I’ll take care of her from now on.”
And he said the same words the next day as you stood with him under the branches of sakura trees midafternoon. Somewhere in the crowd you could see Kageyama smirk as if to tell you that he planned for the two of you to get married from the start, so you smile. Wakatoshi finishes his vows squeezing your hands in his and you meet his gaze—the presence of his love that lit in his mirroring the love raging, roaring, in yours.
-
Now that you think back to it, you weren’t sure where things began to shift. The nights where your husband wouldn’t come home until much later that night, you sat in the living room and let your thoughts drift. Being married to him for the past two years have nothing been in short of a blessing.
You still woke up next to him with his hands cradling your face, and he still looked at you in that soft way that never failed to get your heart going, but you felt a little stuck.
“Toshi, have I been too greedy? Am I too much?” You once asked him.
He clicked the TV off and faced you, brows slightly raised in question. “What are you talking about?”
“I feel like I’m being too much.” You reply.
His brows furrow and so he does what he does best and takes your hands in his, kissing your knuckles and replying with, “Every day you always make me feel full.” He tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear before letting you lean on him. “I love you because you overwhelm me with all that you are, (y/n).”
He meets your eyes and you search for the telltale lick of fire in his orbs. And you see it just barely flickering; you tell yourself it could have been false because your eyes were teary then, but the way your heart roared always left you feeling a bit unsettled. You think back to your mother’s words and try to convince yourself that this may have just been a slight hiccup in the road.
There’s no perfect marriage after all, right?
-
A month after that incident, you sit in your office during your break and pass the time by watching an interview your husband had the week before. Sitting back, you smile as his face appears on the screen after the commercial Kageyama starred in.
He answers the general questions of “How does it feel to finally win against your rival team?” and “What are your goals for next season?” with practiced ease, a trait of his that never ceased to leave you impressed. He had always been crafty with words and had a way of leaving the normally nosy reporters satisfied with his general answers.
Though this reporter may have been a different case because she suddenly blurts out, “So! How are you and your wife doing?”
The question seemed to have caught him off guard, but he recovers quickly and answers, “We’re doing great. Celebrating our third wedding anniversary together tonight.”
“Congratulations!” She expresses, then continues, “Three years! Are you planning on any kids?”
Unconsciously, you find yourself sitting up and listening intently for what his reply would be. The topic with children have been broached a few times over the years, but he was quick to dismiss it and steer the conversation elsewhere.
On the screen, you could see Wakatoshi pause before answering, “We’re still a bit young and busy. But maybe soon, when we’re both ready.”
The reporter nods at his answer and tells him a final goodluck before moving on to interview Kageyama. Wakatoshi stands beside him and looks at the camera, smiling with practiced ease. But you know better, because your heart clenched at the absence of the flickering flame that used to find home in his eyes.
And because Wakatoshi has a way with his words and actions, you shake your head and think that maybe it’s just the camera and weird angles, so you huff out a breath you had been holding, text your husband an ‘I love you! Can’t wait to celebrate tonight.’ and continue your day.
By the time midnight rolls around, the atmosphere was calm. After coming home from dinner, Wakatoshi suggests the two of you watch a movie, so you reply by pulling out the biggest blanket you could find in your shared linen closet. For the next few hours the atmosphere stays nice and calm as you are leaning against Wakatoshi’s frame with his hands mindlessly stroking your hair from time to time. In between lull moments of the movie (that he picked out this time), you look up and revel in the few moments you get to just look at your husband. At what you assumed was a funny scene, you’d see his eyes crinkle in the way it does when he got particularly happy, and he’d smile before letting out a laugh.
And as he lets out another hearty laugh with his eyes crinkling even further you feel the love inside you ignite even brighter; if you closed your eyes you could just picture it pulsing inside of you.
At this point, he probably felt your stare getting a little intense because he looked down at you, still smiling and kissed the tip of your nose.
“You okay?” He asks.
“Yeah. I like looking at you happy.” Came your reply.
So his smile softens as he brings your forehead to his lips.  “I love you, Toshi. Happy anniversary to us.” You say and look at him with the love you have inside you—beaming, burning, raging.
But as he stares back at you looking like his love is just flickering, for now you just swallow the lump in your throat and find comfort in the fact that at least something is flickering.
Love can’t be perfect all the time, right?
-
It was around three am, and knowing that Wakatoshi was still awake did you choose to finally break the silence.
“What do you think about having kids, Toshi?” You suppose it was a good idea on your part to ask that question now, because you couldn’t imagine what kind of expression was on your face at the moment.
“I think it’s good to have them,” Came his reply after a significantly long pause; though before you could reply he continued, “Just don’t think it’s a good idea any time soon.”
“Why not?” You reply, voice a little more hushed.
“There’s still a chance an international team could scout me and if we have kids now, it would throw off our plans.”
You shifted in bed and faced him in the dark. “Toshi, you know I can’t just leave the country like that right? You know how much I love my job and life here. With you.”
His reply came out in the steady tone you were familiar with. “You always supported me, though.”
Your brows furrowed and you were quick to answer. “I do, Toshi. But when the time comes, we need to make those decisions together.”
Shuffling closer to his form, you blindly feel for his face in the dark and press your lips against his.
“I love you.” You tell him
He hums into the kiss and pulls you closer to him as a reply. It was after his breaths were even and you were sure he was asleep that you buried your face deeper in his chest and thought about how much of a good thing it was to have talked to him in the dark where you couldn’t see the fading flicker in his eyes.
Deep known you knew something was shifting, and your mother’s words couldn’t be helped but flash behind your eyes—so you resort to shutting your eyes even tighter and repeating the assurance that everything would be okay over and over again until you eventually succumbed to sleep.
For the next few months, things for you (at least you liked to think), felt slightly off. Wakatoshi hadn’t mentioned the conversation again and resumed to shifting his focus to addressing the mundane things that for those short moments, it felt like everything was fine.
But it took some time to admit that things haven’t. Because not once has he looked straight at you in the nights you were intimate. You started waking up a little earlier than him and spent those extra minutes tracing the contours of his face, but you knew the moment he was awake because he’d always shift his body, turning away from you. And you knew he was aware that you must have gotten the hint because you turn your back too.
And you were glad you couldn’t see his eyes when he kissed your shoulder to what you think is a silent apology because at this point, you didn’t want to know if that flicker had completely dwindled into nothing. So you shut your eyes and try to fall back asleep; ignoring the roaring of your love fighting to be released inside you.
-
Early in your marriage, Wakatoshi and you indulged in the habit of dancing to the music that permeated the walls of your flat coming from the elderly couple living in the building next to yours. Neither of you were dancers but a simple sway to the beat and your head on his chest sufficed. Wakatoshi often mused at the thought of the couple dancing simultaneously with the two of you in their own quiet space. You liked to think the same too.
And that night, where the two of you sat in the kitchen table with the familiar music floating in from the open window to your left, you feel that flicker of hope tingling on the palms of your hand. Earlier that day, after your routine checkup, you came home cheeks flushed, and heart happy at the news that in you grew a little life from the love you and your husband shared.
On the train ride home you couldn’t help but to clutch at the ultrasound picture and feel the pricks in your eyes because this could finally fix things.
You sit across Wakatoshi, one hand subconsciously touching your stomach and the other fiddling against the edge of the envelope.
Wakatoshi takes his seat across from you and clears his throat before looking at you. “I need to talk to you about something.”
You smile at him. “I do too!”
The slight wince from you tone breezes right past you because you look down and begin pulling out the photo of the ultrasound to show him; then he suddenly speaks,
“I think we should get a divorce.”
Your eyes snap at him and you push the envelope back down your legs. “What?”
Wakatoshi doesn’t raise his head to meet your gaze so you repeat your question, albeit a little louder. “Toshi, what?”
He sighs and looks at anywhere but you. “We’re not happy, (y/n).”
Your hands grip the edge of the photo a little tighter, but you still keep it down. “Did something happen?”
He still doesn’t look at you. “I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed.”
“So you decide that a divorce is our only option? Because you feel overwhelmed?”
He grimaces at your tone and faces you, though you could tell he was focusing his gaze on the wall behind you.  “This doesn’t feel the same anymore, and you don’t deserve that.”
Your heart sinks to your stomach so you first let the silence settle before you grab his hands and place the photograph in front of him. “I’m pregnant, Tosh.”
He stays silent enough for you to take note that your neighbors play another slow song, so that floats through the open window again.
Gingerly, you take a breath, “We can get through this.”
“I got an offer to play for a team in the States, and I don’t want to take you away from your home.”
“You’ve always been my home, Toshi.”
He stays quiet, so you sigh and then speak, “Don’t you love me enough to fight for this?”
He finally looks at you and you suddenly want to sob. Like before, he takes your hands in his and kisses your knuckles gently. The music still plays and you think back to just a few years ago on a night similar to this the two of you had been swaying to what possibly may have been the same song playing now.
But as he looks straight at you and says, “I’m sorry.” you knew his decision was absolute because in his eyes all you saw were cinders from a dying flame.
-
So now at thirty years old, seventeen years after she left, you visit your mother’s grave and offer a silent prayer. With you, you bring a bouquet of yellow flowers, her favorite, and a story to tell. Your son, age four, stands next to you holding your right hand. You let go as you kneel down and offer a silent prayer. From the corner of your eye, you see your son do the same, eyebrows furrowed in deep concentration as he muttered his own prayers to the woman he grew up hearing stories about.
You sit in front of the grave and begin to tell her that after you gave birth and after the divorced was finalized, Wakatoshi left for the states. Your son perks at the mention of his father and animatedly begins talking about how his dad bought him so much toys that they didn’t have in Japan from his recent visit. You smile as you listen because you were happy that Wakatoshi still found the time to be involved in his only son’s life.
He was right; at that time the both of you couldn’t meet in the middle and find a common ground with the splitting direction your lives were taking.
“Maybe there’s a story for us in time.” He’d told you as he first held your son in his arms. And you nodded, answering with a “Maybe.” Because for now, the future really is just a maybe.
Thinking back to the years you were married, he was someone you couldn’t bear to regret. And looking at your mother’s tombstone you suddenly remember her smile and final words to your father. Like her, you found yourself falling in love with a man who couldn’t return that same love in the end—and along with its end, it was okay. Because she, and you, had given it your all.
For a snippet in time, he had loved you in his own way and looked at you with a fire rivaling your own.
And you truly couldn’t bear to regret him because in the end, he had given you your son. The little boy who woke up extra early in the mornings so he could sneak in your bed and cuddle you before he knew he had to get ready for school. The little boy who drew smiley faces with ketchup on your omelet because “Mama, you need to smile more”.
He has Wakatoshi’s eyes, you think to yourself as he looks at you, eyes crinkling from the width of his smile.
He plucks a yellow flower from the bouquet and shuffles closer to you. “Mama, how much did you love your mama?”
You take the flower from his hands and tuck it behind his ear. “A lot.”
He nods and stretches his arms. “This much?”
You peck his forehead and laugh before mirroring his stance, though stretching your arms a little wider. “Nope. Thiiiiiis much!”
He pouts before standing up and walking closer to you, the flower still tucked in his ear (you couldn’t help but laugh because he looked just like his father), “Well, Mama, I love you, “ he pauses to stretch his arms as wide as he could go, “Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much!!”
And just like that you look at his eyes, the familiar pools of olive, gleaming at you kindling a fire that burned so beautifully that you can’t help but choke up because you remember the words your mother told you all those years ago.
In your son’s eyes you see her meaning, because for the first time you understand what she finally meant and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

Chapter one ; lost and found
warnings ; light angst ( okay maybe a substantial amount )
It's gonna be posted to be my ao3 when I actually edit it more because we know ao3 is superior . ( .lichtenberg is my username ! ) Stay safe guys ! I haven't properly proof read it because I'm tired but I'll probably see a mistake in a week and then fix it then after panicking .
-----
Things were always tough for Hitoshi Shinsou. That's how life was for him , he'd wake up and go to school only to be faced with the relentless bullying from his peers which his teachers dismissed. In a world full of quirks, he would much rather be quirkless.
Everyday felt like a battlefield , trudging through the trenches , avoiding any hits from the enemy and soon enough, he was at the front line. His guard was up and yet everyone saw the little cracks on how to get him down.
It wasn't so bad at first , the occasional taunt , nothing that he couldn't manage . though when he got to middle school, things got worse, kids got meaner. Well, so did he . A strong hatred grew towards the world from his bones that supported his figure.
Yet , the blond boy in class 1a would disagree . He never thought that Hitoshi was mean . No , he found his reserved and quiet . He enjoyed it . He enjoyed how he would follow Shinsou around like a lost puppy ( though Hitoshi would change that to a cat ) and the purple haired teen wouldn't spare him a glance.
Yeah , in Denki's mind ? Things were great .
23rd of June
Denki asked Hitoshi out after sitting besides him at lunch for over a month now . He turned him down.
27th of June
Shinsou had a bunch of lavender dropped at his doorstep , all plucked from the ground . He didn't even need to read the note to see who they were from . He simply tossed them on top of his desk before going back to reading.
29th of June
It was Kaminari's birthday and much to his distaste , there was no happy birthday from the boy he wanted to hear it from the most .
Shinsou knew the date , how could he not? When it was all the blond talked about within the recent week, eyes bubbling with happiness, only getting a glance from Hitoshi and maybe a nod of the head.
He would rather people think that he doesn't care then face the pain that comes with having a friend.
30th of June
Denki still hung around him , acted as if he didn't ignore the day he was most excited for out of the entire year . Shinsou didn't say a word.
1st of July
When hitoshi woke up , he had a gift at the foot of his bed and he wondered how Denki managed to break in to the dorms to drop it off. With tired eyes, he grabbed the note taped to the package .
— to toshi shinsou
“ I understand that you may not like me but I like you dude ! You think you're so tough but you're totally not . I hear boys like handwritten notes and I should know that since I am one but I have yet to receive one so it's a new experience for me too !!!!! Hppay happy birthday , I'm not mad at you . I know you don't want to be my friend and that's a-okay ! Just please let me down slowly ? I won't hang around with you anymore if that's what you want . I mean, you probably didn't like me in the first place and you wouldn't be the first so don't worry ! Pikaboy is fine with it ! Happy birthday .
Ps . A thank you would be greatly appreciated.
Pss . Also come on a date with me this Tuesday? I'll be at the restaurant down the road at 7pm . ”
Sincerly sincerely , Kaminari. :)
Shinsou paused . They were back to a last name basis now, Denki had officially removed his nickname from his vocabulary.
He pondered on why Kaminari would constantly go through trouble to make him happy and yet didn't even get a smile in return. Heck, by the last sentence , Denki seemed happy enough to be stood up publicly. Could he really do that to him though? Judging by the ink smudges on the paper , he couldn't . Sunshine boy had either spilt water very precisely or cried while writing it . He hoped it wasn't the latter. It made his chest ache and twist as he reread it four times . He noticed the spelling mistakes and how there would be another teardrop straight after as if he hated himself more for ruining the letter .
Hitoshi eventually tore his tired eyes away from the paper and opened the box which was at the bottom of his bed. He couldn't help the sweet laugh that escaped him. There would be no point hiding it now , after all no one was here to judge him or swear they say him show more than a stoic look.
It was a hoodie , purple and a few shades darker than his hair with the word ' mind fuck ' written across each sleeve while the front was decorated by cats .
Custom made , suddenly a tear dropped and Shinsou stared at it as if it had personally insulted him. He watched as the hoodie took it in , leaving the wet mark for show.
He would turn up to that date . He refused to wear anything fancy but he couldn't let Kaminari know .
5th of July
" dunce face , he isn't going to come ! He hates you ." Bakugou exclaimed as he watched Denki apply his eyeliner for the fifth time. Each time he applied it, he would cry it off .
" you think I don't know that ? I have to try though ! We're meant to help people and if my purpose is just getting myself involved in things that he doesn't like just to show that I care then I can proudly class myself as a hero !"
Mina rested a pink hand on his shoulder , wiping his eyes once more. " Come on, Danks ! He's gonna come , Bakubabe is just jealous because he can't get a date with Kiri ."
" WHAT THE FUCK DID I TELL YOU ABOUT CALLING ME THAT, RACCOON EYES— "
Hanta laughed from the background , playing some weird game on his phone . " Bakugou and Kiri sitting in a tree , K-I-S-S-I-N- OH MY GOD." The boy exclaimed as he ducked from an explosion that was sent his way .
Denki only laughed as Mina tilted his head back to stop the tears and began giving him some sharp winged liner . " Right , you look hot now go get that outfit on and get your sweet ass back here so i can do your hair."
" but I already did my ha-"
Mina out a finger to his lips. " Ah— Mama Mina knows best now hurry up . "
It turns out that Mama Mina did know best because low and behold, Shinsou was waiting right at the restaurant , 7:01 sharp. Hitoshi was far from a people pleaser , perhaps the opposite to Denki. He could give less of shit about what everyone else wanted but when someone had shown him unconditional care ? He knew he had to do something because what kind of hero would he be if he let them suffer due to his ignorance ?
" Let's make this quick." He commented , eyes sharp as he looked to the bubbly boy who had just turned up. It was clear that he wasn't expecting the other man there. His face lit up.
" O-oh yeah ! Sure dude !" Denki managed to get out as he walked inside the restaurant. It was far from fancy, that was clear . " Hey hun !" A woman gave a wide smile to Denki who wrapped his arms around her.
Hitoshi's mind wandered . Was this some kind of joke ? Why was he hugging a girl on a date with him ? Did he say date ? No he meant an outing because he felt sorry for him. That's it . Yeah -
" and you must be the boy that Denki has told me so much about - "
" AOI !" Denki's face flushed scarlet .
" sup, I'm his sister . "
Oh. . .
Oh .
That makes sense.
He looked between the two of them , why didn't he see it before ? The golden yellow hair , sitting in spikes across their heads , though hers was much shorter. They had the same smile and same eyes , the only difference was that her hair had a sideshave with the lightning bolt there.
Needless to say, Hitoshi felt dumb which wasn't meant to happen.
" that's very nice , I guess ?" It came out as a question , he had no idea on how to interact with people. That kind of went with his whole " no friends " thing .
" yeah , so get us a table , pronto !" Denki exclaimed and shoved Aoi along . " I'm going ! I'm going! There's a table over there , it ain't nothing fancy but you'll live. Your date " she wiggled her eyebrows at Denki who groaned. " doesn't seem like a people person , who knows why he's hanging with you - wait , sorry! I've been calling you a he ! You are okay with that , aren't you ?" Her attention turned to Shinsou who only managed to get out a little nod.
She let out a sigh of relief as she handed them both the menu's as they sat down. It wasn't long until she was off to go flirt with someone. Classic Kaminari's.
" She works at an lgbtq+ shelter for teenagers so she's really hyper aware of everyone's sexuality and stuff. " Denki commented , tapping his fingers on the table .
" that's good, I guess ? " Shinsou pondered their background for a moment before the blond boy pulled him from his thoughts.
" hey , my back hurts -"
" what? Why ? "
" from carrying this entire conversation." Kaminari let out a laugh and Hitoshi gave a fond roll of his eyes in return along with a chuckle.
He didn't realise his mistake until it was too late .
" you laughed at my joke ! You laughed ! Fuck yeah ! "
" wait no I didn't !"
And so came joke galore from Denki for the rest of their date . Kaminari wasn't funny , but the way he delivered each joke made Hitoshi's chest pound more and more.
He had been ignoring this .
As they walked out after a very full stomach and a very large discount, he tried to ignore the guilt eating up at him.
Denki had cried because of him, he had cried because he was ignored and he was now acting like Shinsou hadn't done anything to offend him ? What had this kid gone through ?
" so I said - hey are you listening ?" Denki pulled away from his ramble that he was on about Sero and Mina.
" uh yeah , Sero accidentally kicked Ashido in the face and she fought him."
Denki's face lit up and he continued to talk. He tried his best not to zone out this time .
Yeah , things weren't perfect but he could make an effort . Right ?

April Rain (Chapter 3)
Ch 1       Ch 2        Ch 4
ARCHIVE OF OUR OWN LINK
Pairing: Yagi Toshinori (All Might) x Female Reader
----
It was the next day when you remembered that you never told Yagi the name of the place you were meeting him at. The it took you another hour to realise that he’d tried to hide your meeting from his assistant, and that if you rang the normal line would reveal the little plan. With a great deal of anxiety, you looked to your phone for the fourth time that morning, washing tucked against your chest as you looked between it and the television. There was some odd hero reality show on. It was a generic plot line with all the random dramas of being a superstar included. You had it on for background noise. The screen of the smart phone stayed black as you looked at it. A shiver of shock rippled through you as the screen lit up with the jangly tune of your annoying ringtone. It was an unknown caller. You peered at it before leaping for the phone, snatching it from the pillow before taking a steadying breath and flicking the answer button across the screen.
“Hello? This is…” You were cut off by the sound of a loud bang and hurried breathing, the sounds of a crowd screaming ‘All Might’ over and over. They were chanting.
“Ah!” Yagi’s voice rang down the phone as he caught his breath, “Sorry for ringing you!” His voice stuttered over your name as the cheering grew quieter. His hand moved near the microphone.
“Its alright, Yagi…Wait. How did you get my number?” You asked as the sound of his fans grew quieter and quieter in the background.
A tie slid from around his neck as he sat down in a chair, the material creaking under his great weight, “Well… I am friends with the chief of police…” He pressed the phone to his shoulder and clapped his hands together, “I’m sorry, but I remembered that I forgot to ask just…where the tea shop is?” He was embarrassed. You could hear the tone in his voice as he picked something up to play with in one hand. The end of the pen clicked under his thumb, “I only got your number just to ask you. I swear it!”
“It’s fine Yagi. A little but unorthodox, but ah, I was just about to try and get hold of your office…I forgot to tell you about the address and I just remembered as well, so, no harm done.”
The hero chuckled down the line, “Well, I guess we are both as forgetful as each other, no?”
“I suppose you could say that, yes.” You smiled before continuing, “Its in the Meguro district closer to the residential area.” You gave him the address and you heard him scribble it down on a piece of paper, “Do you want me to send it to this number too? Just in case?”
“Yes, please.” He tucked the paper into his suit jacket, the paper scrapping against the silk before he sighed.
“Busy day?” You asked with a soft laugh, tucking the phone against your shoulder as you collected your clothes again and moved to go and put them away.
All Might hummed, “I did not expect a television company to let hoards of fans near the interview set.” He confessed, “Don’t get me wrong! I love my fans but…”
“But sometimes you like a bit of privacy?” You added as you opened your drawer with your cast arm’s fingers. The healing was coming along nicely.
“Exactly that.” He confessed before stretching, “I’ll let you go…But ah, feel free to save this number. It’s my private number…so you won’t have to fear Joan on the other end.” He joked, chuckling down the receiver.
You felt your cheeks go warm, “You can save mine too, methods of how it was obtained aside.” You teased as you closed your drawers.
“I promise it was simply to…”
“Calm down, Toshi, I was just teasing. I’ll let you get back to work, Mister All Might.” The phone was hot in your hand as you took it from your shoulder, “I’ll see you Saturday, Yagi.”
“See you then.” Yagi replied softly before the line went dead.
The silence was heavy against your ear. You took the phone away from your ear and looked at the blank screen for a moment before smiling and going back to your chores. He was adorable, and now you had his private number. You opened your phone and saved the number as Yagi with a small sunflower. It suited him, you thought as you moved back into the kitchen to think about fixing yourself some lunch.
The scheduled day came a lot quicker than you thought it would. It seemed to pass quickly between your hand exercises and binge watching of the very bad hero reality show. That morning you were say lamenting the wardrobe options you had down the phone to a long time friend. They only laughed at you and your frustration.
“Its not like it’s a date!” They exclaimed.
You deflated against the sheets, playing with a pulled thread of cotton, “Well...I guess not. But I still want to impress!”
“Who is this guy anyway? He’s sure got you worked up!”
Your mouth went dry before you managed to lace together a response, “Just a guy I met in the park one time. He asked me about the fountain...” It was almost painfully obvious.
“That’s cute! Hey if it goes well you should invite him out drinking with us...”
“I don’t think that’s his sort of thing. He’s really busy too.” You chuckled before turning the conversation, “Anyway, I have to get ready! Talk to you later. Yep. Bye!”
You hid your face in your hands, looking at the casual shirt and jeans. It would do and a small part of you hoped that All Might would like it too. Hopefully he wouldn’t turn up in anything too fancy.
The train ride over to the Meguro district wasn’t too long, nor was the small walk from the station around into the older areas, set a little way back from the river. The area was set with rows of houses and a couple of stores. The tea shop was set back between them, the shop a converted small home from some years ago. The sign was hand painted over the door and you smiled as it came into view. The lady must have had her son repaint it recently. The white paint was fresh and not curling on the edges, like it was when you last came. It appeared better off now. You smiled and tugged st the bottom of your jacket as you came to the front of the picket fence around the front garden. The water fountain trickled softly as you peered around, looking for All Might's unmistakable, hulking frame. He wasn’t anywhere in sight. You checked your phone. No texts or calls. Still, you were five minutes early. You leaned against the fence and chewed your lip, wondering if it would be rude to call him and check you were still on.
You finger itched over the symbol. Pushing it you held the phone to your ear. A sharp, annoying ring tone sounded with the first ring. You jumped and whipped around to peer down the small alley next to the tea shop. The very dumb ring tone screeched from inside the alley followed by a soft curse before a large hand held a phone just around the brick wall before disappearing into a blue hood.
“Hello?”
“Yagi are you hidden behind a wall right now?” You asked with a smirk, watching the man jump in the alley as Yagi peered around the brick, blue eyes narrowed, and eyebrows furrowed.
“I might be.” He confessed, his face devolving into a look of embarrassment.
“Look by the fence, you dork.” You laughed and hung up as his eyes caught sight of you. He pushed his phone into his pocket before walking out from the alleyway, huge form disguised in civilian clothing.
The bright blue sweater was printed with a white lettering, the love heart large and read, and you snickered at the lovely New York souvenir as he tucked his huge hands inside the pocket and pushed his flying bangs of hair back into the hood. He was dressed in a crisp pair of jeans and sneakers. It was an off look for the hero you were so used to seeing flying around with a cape and skintight looking spandex. He smiled as you laughed at him.
“I know, but I couldn’t show up in my costume, could I?!” Yagi sighed as his hair pinged out of the top of the hood again, his hand coming back up to smooth it away.
“I’m not poking fun, I promise.” You laughed again as you moved away from him to open the gate that lead to the tiny tea shop, “I never thought if you’d be able to fit through the door!” You teased again, watching Yagi turn a soft shade of pink.
“I’m sure I can manage...so long as they have some large seats.”
The tiny bell over the door rang as you both entered the shop. All Might stop to enter, his frame filling the doorway as he walked in behind you, hair popping out of the top of his hood once more. He reached to flatten them as the lady who ran the tea shop turned from her little TV screen to look at who had entered. She moved her glasses on her face and hummed, bowing her head before standing up to greet you.
“Welcome. Please, sit...Ah. Perhaps the large quirk table?” She uttered before beckoning the both of you to follow. Yagi raised an eyebrow, smiling as he tucked his hair away again. You followed her to the back area, set in a high ceiling conservatory, filled with furniture more suited to individuals with large and burdening quirks.
The hero peered around before frowning, “I did not expect chairs...”
The owner was old, but her hearing was good, “I prefer not to clean the floor constantly from spilt tea. I have a number of clients as large as you who would leave my floors a mess if I used Chabudai, young man.” She laughed before patting the large chair, pulling it out for him as you seated yourself with a teasing smile, “Now. What would you both like?” The woman tucked her hands into her apron pocket to collect a little order notebook.
“What do you suggest for relaxing?” You asked, sitting back as you took off your small jacket, “I think we both need something to help us unwind a little. Its been a stressful week or so.” You flexed your arm and wiggled the fingers of your recently freed arm.
She looked to Toshinori, “I agree with her. What do you suggest, Miss.”
Thoughtfully she tapped her pencil on the page before nodding to herself, “Lavender and Chamomile. A green tea could be good just for a sense of normality, but I would suggest Chamomile if you need the relaxant?”
“That sounds lovely, thank you.” Yagi nodded and watched the woman scuttle away with a confused face.
“Does she not recognise me?” He looked stressed by the fact, hiding his hair in his hood as he watched the woman disappear to the stove and backroom.
You shrugged, “Maybe she’s just being polite? I’m pretty sure you’re unmistakable, which is why I’m glad no one is here to…uh…disturb us?” Finger quote motions made Yagi chuckle. Reluctantly, he reached up to pull down his hood, his blond, gravity defying bangs popping free like springs to wave over the top of his head.
“Disturb us?” He joked before settling into his own chair, “I hope she doesn’t ring someone.” He chewed his cheek before sighing, “Let’s not think about that!” A bright smile curled on his lips, remind you of the sunshine and bright sunflowers you thought of last time, “I see that your arm isn’t in a cast anymore.”
You nodded, rubbing at the arm gently with the thought, “The healing quirk really sped things up. There’s a lot of repair still. I have some exercises to do to strengthen the muscles again, but all being well I can get back to work soon enough!”
All Might laughed, a bright noise, genuine and loud, “I’m glad! Hopefully you can get back to normal, even after everything that has happened?”
It was a little bit of a sore subject and you felt your face tighten, “Hopefully. It…was a lot to process I think.” You tried to smile back at him. A warm hand reached over the table, All Might’s giant form stooping as he held out a palm for you.
“You can talk to me about it, if it helps?” He offered gently.
You gave him a smile, “Thank you, honestly, but I’ll be okay. I still have the number for the therapist.” He relented with the promise, and left you alone for now, taking his hand back slowly. You took it and squeezed the rough palm, “But thank you for worrying. It means a lot, especially coming from you.”
Yagi felt his face go a little hot, “I told you, I’m just doing my job.”
“Sure.” You drew out the syllables, “Just doing your job, huh? By having tea with me secretly?”
The hero spluttered over the other end of the table which only made you laugh at his expense.
“It’s a friendly outing!” He insisted, tugging at the ties of his hood.
“Whatever lets you sleep at night, All Might.” The teasing was about to be rebuked until the owner pottered back into the conservatory, tray in hand with scalding tea on top of it.
Yagi coughed behind his fist his ears burning red with an embarrassed blush as the old lady placed the large tea pot onto the table. The cups were painted with cherry blossoms. You watched as she moved to pour the tea into the two cups, hands sturdy despite her frail age. After pouring them, she bowed her head and left, winking conspiratorially as she left the two of you to your own devices in the back. Her television sounded again in the front as she settled back in to wait for other customers. All Might shifted in his seat, the chair groaning underneath his muscled weight as he reached for his tea and took a sip of the burning hot liquid. His face scrunched up with the hot liquid in his mouth, his lips bright red as he realised his mistake.
“It’s still too hot, Yagi.” You teased.
The hero put his hands over his mouth, “I realise.” He mumbled through his fingers, “Now that I have scalded my tongue.”
“Aw does it hurt.” You cooed over the tea, standing up to walk around the table and look at Yagi’s burned lips. The skin on his bottom lip was raw and red, “It looks pretty bad.” You muttered, dragging your seat over to his side.
“It is fine, honestly, I have dealt with far, far worse.” Yagi flinched away from your fingers.
“Yagi.” You pinched his chin, holding him still, stopping his protesting. The man’s cheeks turned as red as his ears, “Hold still, okay?”
“This is entirely unnecessary.” Yagi mumbled as you held up your hand. His blue eyes went wide as you turned your fingers into water. They wiggled in front of his eyes, the water dripping and reforming in the shape of fingers before you placed them against his scalded skin. The cold water made him jump, his lips parting only to realise he would end up with a mouthful of your fingers. The pro-hero held still, watching you ease the pain in his lips with a gentle press.
“It won’t heal it, but it’ll take the pain away.” You promised softly as you held Yagi’s chin in your other hand. His cheeks twitched, his hand coming up to touch your arm. You took away your fingers and smiled.
“Thank you. It’s fine now, I promise.” He grinned with white teeth, taking your hands in his own, looking at your watery fingers, “Your quirk is amazing. I hope you know that.” The man took hold of his tea once more, “But be careful about using it…The laws are not so kind in this country.”
It was a warning, yet you smiled, “I’m sure I wont get into trouble for cooling down our new favourite hero’s lips.”
“But in an emergency…” He babbled before sighing, “You should drink your tea.” He muttered, face still painted pink with embarrassment, “It’s delicious.”
You scooted your chair close enough to the table to reach your drink, taking a careful sip from the cooling tea before humming, “It is delicious.” You confirmed before smiling and laughing. Yagi sighed before joining in with his own great cascade of laughter.
“One day I will learn to think before I do things. Thank you.”
“Don’t worry about it, Toshi.”
Yagi felt his heart do flip flops for most of the time you both spent together. Sipping tea and just chatting normally with someone was so far from what he knew anymore. A person who invited him for lunch usually wanted to get in his pants or have him sign some form of advertisement contract. It was tiring yet he found himself refreshed talking to someone normal. You laughed at his terrible jokes and you talked about animals and pets. It was perfectly normal. Serene. The hero felt his stomach clench as his heart throbbed.
“I will pay.” Yagi pushed your hand with your wallet away, “It was only tea.” He smiled, blond hair waving over the top of his head as he pushed the money towards the old woman, “Keep the change. Thank you for the lovely tea.” He bowed at the waist as she took the payment.
“Thank you, young man.” She hummed as she placed the money away in her register, “Might I say you look an awful lot like that new hero. I bet it gets you all the ladies.” She cackled as Yagi’s jaw dropped.
“Ah, yes, of course. He is inspirational. I…uh…”
“A stunner, yes. Quite the looker I’ve caught myself.” You teased as Yagi spluttered over the counter.
You parted ways with blushes that day. It wasn’t until you got home that your phone buzzed with a message, the small sunflower emoji making you smile as you opened his text message.
‘I think we should meet again next Saturday? If you would like to?’
You smiled as you sent him a reply.
‘I would love to.’

Green tinted sunlight filled Hitoshi's bedroom, a stream of it beaming directly onto your sleeping body. Unconsciously your eye opened and quickly shut again at the bright light. You groaned and pulled the covers over you more like a hooded cape and pulled your knees in until you were sitting on them with your butt in the air.
You inch wormed across the massive bed searching for Hitoshi's warm body. It felt like you were crawling across a wide valley until finally you managed to inch right off the bed and onto the floor with a thud and a yelp.
The sound of a warm and hearty laugh filled your ears from another place in the room. The floor was cold against your skin and you quickly bunched the blanket that fell with you completely around every inch of bare skin. You sat up with a groan and smacked your lips. Not really bothered that you had just plummeted off the bed, your senses were still halfway asleep and your mind fuzzy.
"Do you get out of bed that gracefully every morning?"
Your head slowly turned to look in the direction of the bedroom door where Hitoshi was standing with a massive smile on his face, your own face lit up but at something completely different. In his hand he held a familiar small brown bag and in the other was what you assumed to be your favorite breakfast tea.
Your eyes wondered around the room as you remained on the floor. The curtains of Hitoshi's bedroom window were slightly open and that green light was from the sun projecting through one of the plants thin leaves. It was daylight outside and you could see that his window looked out into a thickly wooded area. It was calming how it looked that morning, a light dewy fog filled the air and fall colors littered the scene.
Humming you laid over on your side on the floor and bundled up, staring out the window with a sleepy smile. Hitoshi laughed and finally made his way into the room, walking and placing himself beside you. He looked down to your cradled body on the floor and shook his head as he lowered and sat next to you crisscrossed. You mustered up enough energy to inch closer to him and rest your head on his thigh.
"You seem to be less of a morning person than I am," he chuckled and brushed your forehead with his warm palm, leaning over and pressed a kiss to your temple.
You nodded and rolled over onto your back, pulling your knees up and keeping the blanket clutched around your body. You looked up at him and smiled. His violet hues were bright and wide.
"You know, it's your fault I fell. I was trying to find you but you weren't in the bed," you stated with a still sleepy voice as the back of your hands rubbed the sleep from your eyes.
Hitoshi nodded and ran a hand through your hair and played with it. "Yeah, I went and dropped Eri off at Deku and Shouto's. I guess it's a good thing I got you food, peace offering?" He dangled the bag over your nose and you went to grab at it but he kept it out of your reach. "On second thought, I think you should beg for it, you know just a little trail run before tonight!"
If your eyes weren't wide open, they were now. Even this early in the morning Hitoshi Shinsou could still be as smug and cocky as usual, he had no on or off button.
You rolled your eyes and decided to play along with his game. A smirk grew on your face and you let the blanket fall just a little from your chest, revealing your shoulder and collarbone. His purple brows rose and looked at the exposed skin before glancing back to your own (e/c) eyes. You wrapped an arm over your head and let your hand rest on his thigh as it inched inwards. His eyes widened and he chuckled as you licked your lips and parted them.
"Hitoshi," you sighed out, softening your eyes and arching your back as he was slowly being lured in like a sailor to a siren song, leaning down closer to your face. Your smirk grew bigger as you went to speak again against his lips that now hovered over yours, "Give me my fucking food now or you die!"
Hitoshi visibly shuddered from head to toe as a chill ran down his spine and he smiled. "Yes ma'am!"
He sat back up straight and released the bag from his hand, making it free-fall and land on your face.
You laughed and grabbed it, removing your other hand from his thigh and up to his face. He smiled and took it, pressing a kiss to the inside of your palm. One of your favorite types of kisses that he gave.
For the next few minutes you sat there on the floor together as you ate and talked about the day ahead of you. It was pretty early in the morning and you weren't exactly rushing anything.
"So, not that I'm complaining, but why Disneyland?"
You shrugged your shoulders as you swallowed the bite of food you were chewing and crossed one leg over your knee.
"I don't know. I've only been once, I was a kid then and don't remember much. I love everything Disney and I love theme parks." You paused and looked off and Hitoshi asked what was wrong. "You know - now that I think about it, Disney is kind of pricey isn't it?"
"And?" He asked with a confused smirk.
"Well, maybe I should choose something a little cheaper for our first date. Maybe a movie or something?"
Hitoshi sighed and rolled his eyes as he sat back on his palm and ran a hand through your hair with a smile. "(Y/N), I'm going to tell you this one time and one time only. Stop worrying about money. It doesn't matter the cost, if it makes you happy that's all that matters. I'm very financially stable, trust me. Now, promise you won't bring it up again?"
You looked up at Hitoshi, his violet eyes serious and awaiting your answer. But it was hard not to worry about money, for the past few years in college that's all you ever worried about. How to make ends meet, get bills paid on time before you even got food to feed yourself. You never treated yourself to anything ever, because you were always concerned with how the hell you were going to manage on the shitty checks you made from the café.
Now though, being with Hitoshi, he was basically asking you to just not worry about money at all, like it just grew on trees and could be picked from the stem at any time. You and the man had become so close in the past week, you easily forget that he's a pro-hero that makes more than enough money to survive. He was just Hitoshi to you.
The hero looming over you cleared his throat and raised a brow, making you shake the thoughts in your head. You smiled and took a bite of you food and nodded, replying with a full cheek of sandwich, "I promise Toshi."
"Alright, now how about we get up and get ready and you get just a little bit more excited because - we're going to Disneyland!"
Tumblr media
"Oh come on Hitoshi, just one more time, please!"
Shinsou rolled his eyes as you were dragging him back towards the Haunted Mansion, the two of you had just gotten off of it, plus you rode it twice before when you first arrived at the theme park. For some reason you were in love with that ride, seeing the holographic ghosts dancing made you giddy and point, seeing other ghosts that you didn't see before. You already had the 'Grim Grinning Ghosts' song lyrics down and sang along when your cart would ride through the graveyard.
As you pulled him along with all your might he couldn't help but smile at how cute and excited you were. You decided to wear some skinny jeans and black converse, a light pastel pink hoodie under your black jacket and to top it off you wore Minnie ears that looked like Marie's white and fluffy cat ears with a pink bow in the middle, from Aristocats.
With a sigh Hitoshi finally started walking on his own, relieving you from the daunting task of pulling his body weight. He wrapped one arm around your shoulder and pressed a kiss to your head. "Okay, one more time and that's it. There are other rides besides this one, plus I'm getting hungry!"
You smiled and stood on your toes to place a kiss to his cheek and you both walked up the spooky path and took your place in line. The two of you made your way through the faux graveyard, reading the epitaphs on the headstones planted along the way. Hitoshi walked behind you, with his arms draped and wrapped around your shoulders, your hands hung from him as you both took wide awkward steps and talked.
You were minding your own business when a group a people noticed the hero and greeted him. Shinsou smiled kindly and nodded. For the man to be more of a low-profile type of hero he did have a pretty decently sized fan-base. In fact, quite a few other park-goers noticed him and stopped to tell him how he was the coolest pro’s they knew and some asked for autographs. It was cute to see Hitoshi interact with them, especially his smaller fans. Signing his name in their little Mickey Mouse notepads meant for Disney character signatures.
As you continued to make your way towards the front doors of the ride, Hitoshi hugged you close and pressed a kiss to you temple as he kept you warm in the cold air. "I'm sorry about that and for the other times today. I hope it's not ruining our date."
"Toshi, don't apologize for it, I'm having the time of my life with you! And I'd be sort of a bitch to get jealous over some fans getting excited over their favorite hero. You know I forget that you're even famous most of the time."
"Well, that's sort of a relief to be honest. With my quirk, either people are to scared to be with me or they only want to be with me because of it."
You frowned for a bit, hearing the underlying hurt in Hitoshi's voice. To be honest you even forgot he had a quirk.
"Brainwashing right?"
You could see how some people might be timid about it but you weren't at all. If someone really got to know this man, they'd realize what a total sweetheart and kind soul he is. There's no way he'd ever use his power to take advantage of anyone without their own say so. And then to be with him only because of his quirk or status as a pro was just disgusting.
When it came to significant others for you, you never cared how much money they had or their status in life. As long as they loved you and treated you well that was all that mattered. Hitoshi, he's gone above and beyond those things, he literally saved you and took you in, showers you with witty compliments and affection. He's honestly just perfect and completely unexpected, so wonderfully unexpected.
You smiled and nuzzled your cheek into one of his arms wrapped around you and pressed a kiss to it. He smiled and pressed his own cheek to your face. "Well you don't have to worry about people like that anymore Hitoshi, you know why?"
"Why?" He asked with a smile.
You put your fists on your hips and gave Hitoshi a cheesy smile, "Because I am here! Ha ha ha ha ha!" You replied in your best All Might voice.
Hitoshi coughed up a laugh and flicked your Minnie ears, making them fall into your eyes. You giggled and pushed them back up to see the doors of the ride opening up to you. You excitedly started to shake and Hitoshi finally backed off a bit, keeping his hands on your shoulders as the two of you walked in and took your last Haunted Mansion ride of the day.
After, you and Hitoshi walked around the theme park hand in hand with massive smiles on both of your faces. You ducked in and out of different rides, grabbed random sweet and sugary snacks and drinks and also stopped to take pictures with different characters. You practically squealed when you saw Winnie the Pooh and Piglet walking around.
Letting go of Hitoshi's hand and basically sprinting towards them as you waved with both hands. He couldn't help but laugh as the characters waved back and attempted to run towards you as well with as much enthusiasm. You gave them both big hugs and turned to look at Hitoshi with the widest and purest smile. Your cheeks pink from the cold and happiness, your (e/c) eyes sparkling. The hero felt a sort of electric pulse run from his heart and through his entire body making him take a delightful sharp breath.
"Fuck - I love her!"
"Toshi, I need a picture!" You pleaded with your hands clasped together as you bounced, the two characters on each side of you mimicking your movements.
Laughing, Hitoshi took his phone out of his pocket to snap a quick picture of you being squished between the two fluffy characters with a smile on your face. He then took his camera out of his bag to snap a few more cute shots. His favorite was one of you smiling big as Pooh and Piglet placed a kiss to your rosy cheeks. When you finally had your fill, you gave the two a peck on the nose and waved goodbye before skipping back to your date, flying into him at full speed as you hugged him.
Hitoshi grunted and held his camera up, snapping a picture of you looking up at him with the cutest face. You crossed your eyes and stuck your tongue out, making him laugh and snap another picture. Finally you placed a hand over the lens and chuckled.
"Hitoshi, that's enough. I'm sure you have enough pictures now to last a lifetime!"
The hero smiled as he held the camera to the side and grabbed your chin with his fingers, keeping your sparkling (e/c) hues on him. "I could never have enough."
Your eyes softened as you looked at him, his own violet eyes glimmered as you could see your reflection in them. All day long he had looked at you differently, it wasn't a bad different but you couldn't quite place your finger on it. You had been so caught up in all the excitement of Disneyland.
All the rides, music, sights and sounds, you sort of forgot about the one sight you loved most. The face of your hero, his purple hair, brows and eyes. That lazy smile and his flawless skin. You reached a hand up to trace one of his soft brows and brushed your thumb over his cheek.
Hitoshi smiled and cupped your wrist, releasing your chin and he melted into your palm as he pressed his forehead to yours. His peppery scent filled your senses as you inhaled him. He kissed the tip of your cold nose and you smiled. You kissed his cheek, trailing it inwards and towards the corner of his mouth. The tip of your tongue slipped out as you wet your lips that were drying from the cold air, the wet muscle grazing against Hitoshi's own lips.
He could feel a shock being sent through him and his fingers gripped the camera in his opposite hand tighter. You giggled as the hero growled lowly from your accidental lick. You wanted to do it again because he tasted like buttery popcorn from the snack he had finished off a few minutes ago.
"You taste really good Toshi."
"I wish I could say the same." He retorted.
You smiled and let your lips brush against his. He was restraining himself once again, keeping his word to let you choose the moment of your first kiss. His heart was racing and he could feel heat engulfing his body. His mind cloudy, questioning if this was it, would you pick to share your first kiss somewhere as cliché as Disneyland? Either way, Hitoshi didn't care, he was just more than eager to fulfill his hunger for your lips. To see if they tasted just as sweet as you looked and smelled.
His brows rose as he could feel you parting your mouth, your warm breathing hitting his lips and making them part as well.
"Hitoshi, kiss m-"
You were cut off by a loud rumble of thunder, making the both of you snap your heads from each other and look at the sky. Hitoshi groaned and screamed internally as he quickly placed his camera in his bag.
"Cock blocked again, now by mother nature!"
You furrowed your brows as you looked at the darkening sky and a light sleet started to fall before any rain. "Where the fuck did that come from?"
Hitoshi laced his fingers in your hand and started to walk, your feet quickly following along as you clung to his arm when another loud burst of thunder sounded off. He smirked as the two of you started to walk faster, making your way to the park exit and starting to lightly jog once out of the gate as it started to sprinkle. Thankfully, the park wasn't very crowded today and Hitoshi was able to get a great parking spot. He quickly unlocked the doors before you reached them and opened yours to help you climb in. Your body started to tremble while you waited for him to enter the jeep and turn the heater on. It was already a bone chilling cold outside and the light sprinkle and sleet didn't help.
Finally Shinsou made it into the jeep and quickly cranked it, turning the heat on full blast and making sure your seat warmer was on and on the hottest setting. He could see you shivering and your lips turning slightly blue. Reaching out an arm he instructed you to crawl over the console and into his lap.
You nodded, teeth chattering as you did what he said. Hitoshi couldn't help but laugh under his breath at the sound of your teeth repeatedly chattering like one of those toys. Once in his lap you weakly punched his chest with a smile then held your hands out to him and waited.
Smiling, Hitoshi cupped them in his and brought them to his lip as he breathed puffs of warm air and rubbed them generously between his palms. It didn't take long for him to thaw your fingers and warm your palms. He placed kisses to the insides of them before you pulled them to your chest as he wrapped his arms around you and held you close. His hands rubbing up and down your arms and back, working up a warmth throughout your cold body. Slowly as your head lay on Hitoshi's shoulder, your trembling started to stop and your teeth went silent.
"I'm sorry I didn't check the weather sweetheart. I had no idea." Hitoshi spoke into your hair.
You shrugged your shoulders and told him it's was fine and that you were starting to get tired anyway. Your head turned to nuzzle into the crook of Hitoshi's neck. The tip of your ice cold nose making him gasp and grip your back from the shock of it. You giggled and nuzzled more, tracing the cold skin all over his neck.
"You know what I take that back you little shit!"
Hitoshi started to squeeze your sides, making you pull your head back to laugh as you squirmed in his lap.
"Okay, okay! I'm done I pr-promise!" You tried to choke out between laughs and squeals.
Hitoshi tickled one spot that sent a shiver through your entire body and made your hips roll forwards and back on him. Unconsciously his head pressed back into the head rest of his seat as his hands gripped your hips and held you in place. A low groan left his throat as your laughing stopped. It's like the roll of your hips were a match striking against the side of a matchbox, igniting a flame in his belly as he panted, trying to calm himself. You went to move and his fingers gripped harder as he shook his head.
"Fuck - don't move please."
His tone was desperate and it sounded like he was at war with himself. You tilted your head smirking, and 'accidentally' moved your hips again making another groan leave his throat. It sounded low and husky and it made the blood in your veins surge all over.
Hitoshi's hands on your hips pulled you closer to him, driving you down on him even more and now causing a whimper out of your mouth. He grinned being able to cause you just as much torture, your faces now inches from each other, eyes scanning over the other's lips.
"You know, my lips are cold too Toshi. You haven't warmed them up yet ..."
The purple haired hero smirked and brushed his lips across yours, his eyes widened when he felt that they were legit cold.
"I'd love nothing more than to keep every part of you warm (Y/N), especially those cute lips. But, I want to keep them warm not just for today, but every day. I want them to belong to me and me alone."
"Well, how are you ever going to make them yours when you won't shut up and kiss me?"
Smiling, Hitoshi sat up straighter and leaned forward. One of his hands gripped the handle hanging from the top of his drivers side door and the other slid up to wrap around the back of your neck as his thumb brushed your jawline. You smiled back and clutched the front of his shirt and the both of you leaned in closer to close the distance.
The moment your lips finally latched with each other's, satisfied hums reverberated between you. Softly his lips enveloped your bottom one as yours pursed around his top one. The kiss was sweet and tender, making butterflies go insane in your stomach. His lips were so warm, just like the rest of his body and were so gentle. Tilting his head, you both smiled as your noses brushed together and he continued to kiss your lips with so much love. He was over the moon to finally taste your lips fully, they were sweeter than he imagined, almost like pure sugar. His skin tingling as if he had the best sugar high in his entire life.
Hitoshi nipped at your plump bottom lip and rolled it between his teeth, making you giggle on his mouth. The hero was so overjoyed at the moment, becoming a mess of smiles and chuckles himself as he placed sweet pecks all over your face until he met your lips again giving them one last lingering kiss. When he broke away, your arms wrapped around his neck and you hugged him close burying your face into his neck.
"Hitoshi, I love you, so much."
Hitoshi's eyes widened and he smiled as his own arms wrapped around you and hugged you close. He honestly felt like crying at the moment, being so overwhelmed to hear those words fall from your lips with such sincerity. He was relieved to hear them because he wasn't sure how long he'd be able to hold in his own true feelings for you.
Everything was so perfect in his life now that he had you. You were so unexpected but god, Hitoshi was so fucking grateful and he wouldn't change anything about how he met you and what the two of you went through together. It all only brought you closer and that's all he's wanted for the past few months.
His violet eyes fluttered shut as he buried his face in your hair and held you as if you were going to disappear. Rain started to pour from the skies outside, the droplets landing on the vehicle that shield the both of you from them. The sound was comforting and Hitoshi couldn't wait to get you home and spend the rest of your day together lost in each other, keeping yourselves dry and warm.
"I love you more sweetheart. Let's head home."

Natsu’s eyes lit up as Kageyama waved at her from the stage in her school’s auditorium. She waved back excitedly and the rest of the team turned to look at her after Kageyama’s acknowledgement.
“Hi Natsu!” Suga called and blew her a kiss. She caught it and shoved it in her jacket pocket, causing him to grin widely. She giggled and nodded as they all turned away to talk to eachother.
“You know the Karasuno team!?” One of her friends, Akita, asks from beside her and she turned to find basically everyone around her staring at her with wide eyes. She shrugged and nodded, and their mouths fell agape.
“How!?” They exclaimed and she giggled.
“Shouyo goes to Karasuno, he’s on the team!” She explained brightly, their jaws all dropped, “And Kageyama is dating Shouyo! Haven’t I told you?” She asked. They all shook their heads rapidly, still looking completely awestruck. She shrugged and turned back to the stage. Soon, all the students would watch a presentation by each of the different groups there, Karasuno Volleyball being one of them. Then they would all go up and look around at the tables to find out more if they were interested. She knew she wanted to see the Nekoma art club, and the Karasuno Drama club, but she was extra excited to go talk to her brother and his friends.
“I can’t believe you know them...” Satoshi muttered as they approached the Karasuno Volleyball table. Kageyama smiled and got up to hug her as she approached. Causing Hinata to pout as his boyfriend stole his little sister and his little sister stole his boyfriend.
“Hello Natsu!” Daichi greeted her and gave her a hug as well, along with Suga before Tanaka and Noya did their standard kneel and kiss on the hand that made her giggle, Asahi gave her a bear hug and lifted her off the floor, and then she was handed off to Tsukki and Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi hugging her and Tsukki giving her a pat on the back, before she was finally handed off to her brother who hugged her tightly. Kageyama gave her one more pat on the shoulder before she stepped back with her friends again.
“Wow, you really do know them...” Akita muttered as she stared intimidated by the 9 highschoolers.
“Indeed, hello!” Suga exclaimed, holding a hand out for her, which she took, still staring in awe. Natsu giggled and rolled her eyes.
“This is Suga, or Sugawara-San!” Natsu introduced as he shook hands with Akita and Satoshi.
“Daichi, Nishinoya, Tanaka, Asahi, Kageyama~” Natsu pointed out each player as she said their names, and sang her brother’s boyfriend’s name teasingly, “My brother Hinata, Tsukkishima, and Yamaguchi.” Natsu finishes and smiled proudly at her friends as her hair was ruffled by Nishinoya.
“Yup! That’s us! Are you guys interested in Karasuno?” Daichi asked, but Akita was busy staring dreamily at Kageyama.
“Mhm...” she muttered and Satoshi rolled his eyes.
“I am! I wanna be on the volleyball team! It’ll be all sorts of fun!” He exclaimed. The kids were still only in 3rd grade, so really this expo was more for the older middle school kids, but it was still fun. Akita nodded along as he spoke, still spellbound at Kageyama, who was beginning to get uncomfortable and fell back behind the rest of the team instead of in front next to Hinata. Akita finally snapped out of it and blushed profusely before running away to talk to some of their more casual friends. Natsu giggled as she watched her friend run away, and Satoshi rolled his eyes again before getting into a conversation with Daichi.
“What was all that about?” Hinata asked curiously and Natsu giggled again, covering her mouth.
“Akita thinks that Kageyama is extra easy on the eyes.” She explained, causing Hinata to giggle as well.
“I agree,” he answered, and Natsu fell into a laughing fit.
“What?” Kageyama asked behind the two siblings and Hinata let his giggling die down as he turned to look at his boyfriend.
“Seems that Natsu’s little friend has a crush on you Kags.” He explained and Kageyama let out a breath of a laugh.
“Oh really?” He asked and wrapped his arms around Hinata’s waist. Hinata nodded, still giggling.
“Well, too bad I’m 6 years older and in a relationship with a really cute ginger then huh?” He asked before kissing Hinata on the nose. Natsu pointed her finger down her throat and made faux gagging noises at her brother and his boyfriend.
“Nasty love birds!” She exclaimed. And Tsukkishima chuckled.
“Indeed,” he agreed and glared at them.
“They’re all awful. Really. Asahi and Noya, Suga and Daichi, but those two especially, positively the worst, we practically have to pull them apart to play.” Tanaka joked from next to them, causing Noya, Suga, and Hinata to all shoot him glares and he put his hands up in submission. Natsu giggled again, then turned to look at Toshi, who was still talking to Daichi.
“Toshi!” She exclaimed irritably. Grabbing his arm and tugging, trying to get him to go with her to the Drama club table a couple of feet away, he sighed and shot her a glance before looking back to Daichi.
“Sorry, my nagging best friend wants to go see the Drama Club table, I guess I’ll take my leave, bye!” He exclaimed. Daichi chuckled, Suga beamed, and Hinata smirked as the two walked away.
“Natsu has a crush on Satoshi.” He explained and they all nodded and “ah”ed in understanding.
“Apparently Natsu’s friend has a crush on Kageyama.” Tsukki also pointed out causing Noya, Tanaka, and Hinata to snicker. Kageyama rolled his eyes.
“Well, we all know who’s gonna be a teenage heartthrob in his future.” Suga joked and shoved Kageyama playfully. He glared at Suga and shook his hair out.
“You.” He countered, and Suga narrowed his eyes confused.
“White hair, fair skin, deep eyes, you’re practically a k-pop idol.” Kageyama explained and Hinata giggled. Suga scoffed and turned up his nose, crossing his arms.
“He’s not wrong Suga,” Hinata reasoned, “you look like all the idol boys on Natsu’s stupid dramas.” He chuckled, and Suga glared at him.
“I’m pretty sure Natsu actually had a crush on you at first.” Hinata pointed out thoughtfully as he hopped up on their table and sat down. Kageyama sat down on the stool in front of him. Daichi, Asahi, Tsukki, and Yamaguchi all averted their attention away from the conversation as someone new approached the table. Suga rolled his eyes.
“But, Kageyama has already proven to already attract both genders, of all ages, we saw that woman at the market pinching his cheeks and calling him Kawaii.”Kageyama groaned loudly and dropped his head back into Hinata’s shoulder. Hinata chuckled and started running his hands through Kageyama’s hair soothingly.
“Whatever, you’ll all be teenage heart throbs, it’s in your genes. Meanwhile, I’m over here, looking like... this.” Tanaka complained while his friends chortled. Hinata reaches out and grabbed Tanaka by the cheek.
“I dunno Naka, I think that with this baby face you’ll be attracting old ladies for eternity.” He spoke as he pinched Tanaka’s face. The older boy grumbled and shoved Hinata’s hand away as the ginger began to cackle.
“Kageyama also has baby cheeks!” Tanaka exclaimed, pointing at the other boy very obviously. Hinata laughed.
“Yes, while that may be true, Tobi is mine!” Hinata reasoned as he threw his arms around Kageyama’s shoulders and his legs around Kageyama’s middle. Kageyama chuckled and slowly started to stand off the stool, causing Hinata to grip him harder as he was lifted into the air.
“You are tiny...” One of the kids talking to Daichi and Asahi muttered staring at Hinata. Said boy looked at the middle schooler confused then looked at Kageyama, who looked at him simultaneously.
“You’re just, so short...” he explained, still staring at Hinata. Kageyama glared defensively toward the boy.
“Yes... I’m aware, believe me.” Hinata countered, while Kageyama hiked him up higher and Hinata rested his head on Tobio’s.
“What position do you play?” The kids friend asked, now also staring at Hinata surprised. Hinata sighed.
“I’m the middle blocker, I’m 5 foot 4 inches, I’m on the starting team, no I don’t have a condition, and yes I am travel sized.” Hinata explained basically on auto-pilot.
“Uh...” the original kid muttered.
“He’s a perfectly capable player, we have won many games with him and all the other players on the team,” Suga explained, incredibly defensive while also coming off as docile.
“We don’t see a point in limiting people’s abilities based on their physical attributes.” Tsukki explained, an obvious venom to his voice.
“And he wouldn’t be a starter if he couldn’t get the job done.” Kageyama finally finished. The kid nodded, clearly intimidated by the nearly robotic response from the players.
“Anyway, are you interested in Karasuno Volleyball?” Daichi asked. The kids nodded and Daichi smiled, “Okay,” he started talking to them again and Hinata shut his eyes and let himself fall asleep on Kageyama’s shoulders. Kageyama chuckled when he heard his boyfriend’s snores, he was practically always sleepy, a result of intense Hyper-fixation caused by his ADHD that kept him awake through the night. Nishinoya laughed and poked Hinata’s calf then went back to talking to Tanaka.

paints and cherry blossoms
Tumblr media
shinsou hitoshi x reader
i got this idea out of no where earlier and decided to just sit down and write it in one go.
i love shinsou he deserves rest and a place in 1-A
warnings: none
EDIT: made it gender neutral :)
There was always someone painting in the art room when you were leaving for the day. His back was turned towards the door so you were only familiar with the broad shoulders and wild, bedhead lilac hair.
Staying late after school to clean as well as tend to club activities, you never stopped to truly admire whatever he was working on. Exhaustion pulled at every inch of your body, so getting home and in bed was the only thing on your mind once the day was done.
You just happened to pass the room on your trek out of the school, casually glancing in to glimpse the mystery boy. Curiosity grew over the weeks; what did he look like? What were his interests? Which department did he belong to?
You didn’t realize you had grown so attached to seeing his back every day until he wasn’t there.
Stopping mid-step, you blinked into the empty room. The lights were on, even a school bag was leaning against the wooden easel...but where was your mystery guy?
It was then you noticed the drying canvas in front of you.
You gaped at it silently, eyes moving from each stroke and color choice with awe.
You recognized the place...a small clearing outside U.A. had a few large and old trees that was home to cherry blossoms when spring rolled around. The realism of it was there enough for you to know the reference, but the painting had it’s own beautiful style.
The colors were so vibrant and lively, yet the painting in it’s entirety filled you with a strange sense of melancholy. You didn’t understand why…
Sounds of shuffling snapped you out of your daze, whipping around to meet the tired and confused eyes of your mystery guy.
He was holding a couple of bottles of glaze, along with some larger brushes. He held your eyes for a bit longer, before moving forward with an uninterested look. You stepped out of his way, watching as he set down the bottles and brushes. He had a paint-stained apron tied around him, white school shirt rolled up to his biceps. You could hit yourself for not recognizing that wild hair sooner.
He was Shinsou Hitoshi, from the General Ed. class. He lost the first round of the One on One in the sports festival, but he sure made an impression within the school. If you could remember clearly, he possessed a brainwashing quirk.
“Are you here to paint or are you going to just stand and stare.”
The statement made you stutter, watching him glance towards you.
“A-ah no I just...saw your painting from the hallway and couldn’t help but want a closer look…”
You cursed your voice for sounding so small, wincing slightly as his intense eyes bore into yours. He stared at you silently for a moment, before turning away yet again.
 “Alright.”
Hands grabbed at the fabric of your shirt, wondering if you should excuse yourself and leave or stay and try to make small talk. Weeks of curiosity was catching up to you, and now that you had a face and name to the broad shoulders and lilac hair, you didn’t want to leave.
Your school bag was set on a nearby table gently before walking closer to him. Shinsou was sitting now, opening a bottle of the glaze while trying to ignore your approaching form.
“I’ve uh...seen you in here almost everyday for the past couple of weeks. I never got a chance to see what you were working on since I’m always in a rush to get home but,”
The bottle of glaze was opened and set on the table beside him, hand reaching out to lightly trace his strokes. He must’ve been testing to see if it was dry. Eyes turned from him to the painting.
 “It’s really beautiful…”
His hand stuttered slightly, head turning to look at you again. You weren’t sure why he looked so surprised at the compliment, but you decided then that you’d like to see that expression more often.
_______________
After that day, your bed had to wait. Visiting Shinsou after your duties as school became just another part of your schedule.
He gave that cherry blossom painting to you after the glaze was dry. It hung above your bed.
At first, there wasn’t much talking between the two of you; small snippets of meaningless chatter or just greetings and goodbyes. The lilac-haired boy just sat and painted whatever he desired while you would read or finish homework. Sometimes you’d just sit and watch him make delicate strokes against the canvases.
The way he worked was almost hypnotic, like he’d been painting all his life and could do it with his eyes closed. That sparked your first real conversation.
“How long have you been doing this?”
Shinsou glanced up, watching you fold the corner of the page you were on and set the paperback down.
“How long have I what? Staying after school to paint or paint? Be more specific.”
He liked how you flushed in embarrassment.
“I-I mean painting in general. You seem like such a pro at it…it’s almost mesmerizing.”
He turned so he wouldn’t smile, placing his brush in a cup of water and stretching out his cramping fingers.
“A couple of years. Taught myself.”
You muttered a small appraisal, looking on at his newest work. This time it was an orange tabby cat, sprawled on it’s back with it’s eyes closed.
“Her name’s Michi. She lives by my house and likes to follow me around.”
A smile crept onto your face, finding it a little beyond adorable that he was painting his favorite street cat. Shinsou decided that he’d like to see that smile more often.
_______________
 “‘Toshhhhiiiii.”
The drawn-out call of his name (his nickname, actually), woke him. Gentle hands tugged at his unruly strands as he blinked sleep out of his eyes. The art room was lit orange, shadows growing bigger every minute he looked around. He must’ve fallen asleep waiting on you.
“Sorry it took so long, I didn’t mean to keep you waiting.”
You were still in your hero costume, smiling sheepishly at him when he finally turned towards you.
“Kendou wanted to train a little longer than usual… I was just on my way to the locker rooms to change.”
A hand came up to rub his nape, standing slowly. He offered to wait for you before walking back to the dorms, picking up his bag and placing a hand atop your head to steer you out of the room.
It was your third year; he made it into the heroics department finally last year, placing in 2-B. You were over the roof to see him there with you.
You looked exhausted when you came out of the locker room, (length) hair a mess and shirt buttoned up the wrong holes; really quite adorable.
 “You didn’t paint today?”
He barely heard your whisper, looking down as you tugged on his sleeve. Shinsou shook his head, shrugging when you questioned further.
“It’s no fun when you’re not there to annoy me.”
You threw your head back in a laugh, nudging his arm with your shoulder.
The trek to the dorms was otherwise fairly silent; the sun had set completely, the tall lamps their only source of light. It was cooler, slight breezes chilling the two as they walked. Your bare arms were covered in goosebumps, wrapping around yourself in an effort to stay warm
“I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to wrap myself in my blankets more.”
“That is most certainly a lie.”
A weak giggle left your lips as you nodded, stepping closer to him for warmth.
 “Warm me up, ‘Toshi.”
A muscled arm pulled you to his side, face flushing slightly as you let out a contented hum.
“You’re so warm, ‘s making me sleepy.” A yawn took over your features almost comically, yet Shinsou couldn’t help but admire how cute you looked; eyes heavy with sleep and hair still messy, blowing gently with the wind.
 “(Name).”
He stopped walking, making you pause in return and turn towards him with a look of confusion. Your lips parted to call his name, but before you could get out the first syllable, a hand on your cheek rendered you speechless.
To anyone else, Shinsou Hitoshi might’ve looked bored; eyebrows furrowed and mouth in a straight line. To you, he looked nervous.
You asked softly what was wrong, but he stayed silent. You could see his eyes moving across your face, like he was thinking long and hard about something.
“I think,” he started, his hand trembling slightly against your skin. “I think I might be in love with you.”
Your breath caught in your throat, eyes blown wide as you stared up at him. A bead of sweat trailed down his temple, besides it being chilly. You stood and just stared for a few moments, engraving this moment in your mind. You wanted to cherish it forever.
Shaky hand moved on their own, reaching up to his face. Your fingers slid by his skin and tangled into lilac hair, tugging him forward as you balanced on your tiptoes.
His lips met yours in a gentle embrace, hand cupping your cheek while the other grasped your waist.
You had always heard that the first kiss with that special someone would be like fireworks going off inside you; in a way, they were right. Your heart drummed furiously like it would when the bang of said light show would go off, a feeling of euphoria washing over your entire being. His lips moved against yours with a certain inexperience but it felt perfect, like something you’ve waited your entire life for.
Shinsou pulled away first, leaning down to rest his forehead against yours. He was so tall he had to hunch a bit, to continue this action. His thumbs stroked the skin of your cheeks while his warm breath hit your parted lips.
A serene, gentle moment passed before you let out a soft chuckle, watching his eyes flutter open to meet yours.
 “What’s so funny?”
You pecked him again, lips fitting perfectly against his.
“I’m in love with you too, dummy.”

November One-Shots: Day Sixteen; Cuddle
Sannan Hugfest.... I hope it’s okay. >.> More a farce than anything, but it was fun! :D As always, you can read it and the other entries over HERE!
Hijikata looked up with narrowed eyes as Souji entered his quarters. “What is it?”
Souji ignored the harshness of the vice commander’s tone and sauntered over to his desk, settling himself on the edge of it and crossing his ankles.
“I just talked with Sannan-san.”
“And?”
“He’s thinking about taking the ochimizu.”
Ah, that grabbed his attention, Souji thought.
Hijikata laid down his pen and leaned forward before speaking again. “Are you positive about that?”
“Toshi? Souji?” Kondo’s voice interrupted from just outside the door. It slid open quietly, revealing the commander, with Gen standing just behind him. “My apologies for the intrusion, but I couldn’t help but overhear!”
“Kondo-san!” Souji stood and moved away from Hijikata’s desk.
“Souji, what was this you were saying about Sannan-kun?”
Souji repeated what he had told Hijikata and the four men discussed what could possibly be done to stop Sannan, should he truly attempt to become a fury.
“We need to find a way to take his mind off his injury for a while,” Gen stated, more to himself than to the group.
“Yes, that’s it!” Kondo readily agreed.
“And how in the hell would we do that?” Hijikata wanted to know.
The men grew silent once again, each lost in their own thoughts, and a slow smile began to crawl across Souji’s face. He knew his idea wouldn’t go over well with Hijikata-san, but Kondo-san would definitely be on board, which was what counted.
“Why not have a party?”
“A party?” Hijikata looked at Souji. “What kind of party?”
“Oh, you know....food, drinks...the typical kind?”
Kondo’s face lit up and he quickly agreed that it was a sound idea.
“It would be reminiscent of our days at Shiei Hall. I think Sannan-kun would like that,” Gen added.
Hijikata muttered under his breath, but gave in to the others’ wishes, and the impromptu meeting adjourned shortly after the details were hammered out.
____________________________________________________________________________________
The small party was well underway when Sannan appeared, silently entering the room in the hopes of drawing as little attention as possible. He was almost successful, but Kondo had been waiting for him.
“Sannan-kun! I was beginning to think I would have to send Souji out to find you!” the man greeted as he walked up, drawing eyes from around the room.
The captains were already in varying degrees of drunkenness, and Sannan thought perhaps even the vice commander had partaken of the sake, since the man’s usual scowl had been replaced with an almost amiable smile. Harada, Nagakura and Heisuke were chatting in loud tones in one corner of the room, and Sannan was fairly certain that they would only become louder as the night progressed. Even Gen had a touch of color to his cheeks, which was quite a shock. Souji and Saito sat together in another corner of the room, and though both looked to be sober, there were small signs that both were drinking. Only Kondo and Chizuru appeared to be abstaining.
As he prepared to go seat himself next to Hijikata, Sannan was stopped by Kondo’s large hand clamping down on his shoulder. The commander began chatting animatedly, and Sannan resigned himself to listening in, though what he truly wanted to do was return to his room and his research. But he smiled and nodded, listening as politely as possible. He did admire Kondo. The man was an enigma that would never be solved. But Sannan had a goal and this ‘party’ was taking him away from that. He needed to be working; he needed to find a way to save his arm -or at least his usefulness to the Shinsengumi.
Kondo hadn’t noticed Sannan’s mind drifting, and had carried the conversation easily without needing commentary from the younger man, but now he paused. Chizuru was approaching with drinks, and he grabbed a cup of tea for himself and watched as Sannan chose the sake.
“Yukimura-kun, you’ve been working all afternoon. Have a drink yourself... join us!” he told her, smiling benevolently as he looked around the room.
Chizuru smiled up at Kondo. She really did like him very much. He was kind and thoughtful, which was not always the case with men in his position. She took one of the cups of tea from her tray and sipped at it while Kondo told a small story about Sannan and Hijikata from their days at Shiei Hall. Sannan steadily tried to move further into the room, but Kondo’s hand held him in place. Listening to the story, Chizuru giggled before she could stop herself. She clamped a hand to her mouth, but Kondo stopped speaking and looked at her questioningly.
“Gomenasai, Kondo-san. You’re story reminded me of something funny.”
At Kondo’s urging, Chizuru explained that she and her new-found friend, Sen, had been discussing different customs, and Sen had mentioned that in some countries, people often hugged to cheer one another up. Of course, Chizuru didn’t mention that what they had found so funny was trying to picture the people in their lives doing this.
Kondo looked quite skeptical for a moment before brightening. “Is that so?” he finally asked, glancing sidelong at Sannan.
“Hai!”
Sannan appeared to be distinctly uncomfortable at the look he was getting from Kondo. He stiffened visibly when Kondo suddenly threw his arms around him and laughed.
“Well, let’s test that theory out then!”
Chizuru dropped her tray of drinks as she clamped both hands over her mouth. Sannan-san’s expression was so comical that she couldn’t help but laugh. The clatter of the tray drew the attention of everyone in the room. Heisuke was up like a shot, staggering as he trotted over.
“Hey, w-what’s going on?” He looked at Kondo with large, round eyes.
“Heisuke-kun! I’m trying to cheer up our deputy commander!” Kondo said magnanimously, his eyes twinkling.
Shinpachi and Harada had followed Heisuke over, and both men looked at one another before grinning mischievously. They rush forward, taking both Chizuru and Heisuke in with them, and threw their arms around the whole bunch.
“Well, this is cozy, isn’t it, Chizuru-chan?” Harada asked with a chuckle, his speech slightly slurred.
Chizuru, who had gone quite red, didn’t respond. She was squashed between Harada at her back and Sannan in front. Sannan was frantically trying to disentangle himself from the whole mass of bodies but just as he was about to back out of Kondo’s grasp, Souji slipped up behind him, pulling a reluctant but not quite sober Saito along with him. He had practically had to promise to listen to Saito’s thoughts on swordsmanship to get the man to move, but it would be worth it just to see what happened with Sannan. Souji pushed Saito into the mix and he was grabbed up quickly by unknown hands and swallowed into the huddle. Souji stayed on the outer edge and placed a hand on Kondo’s shoulder. It wasn’t precisely a hug, but it was as close as the first unit captain was willing to get.
Gen watched to proceedings from across the room and at a look from Kondo, immediately got to his feet, dragging Hijikata up with him.
“Might as well go join them,” he said with a quick smile.
Hijikata protested the entire way across the common room, but Gen ignored him, the small amount of sake he consumed bolstering his resolve. When the last two men joined the group, Kondo reached a hand out and pulled Hijikata in while Gen hovered on the outside, Harada’s arm draped around his shoulders.
“Well, Yukimura-kun. I think you might be right! I feel very cheerful at the moment,” Kondo laughed as he looked around at the men he cared so much for. Even Sannan had given up the fight, and though he would never admit it, as stood with arms wrapped around him from every side, he couldn’t hide the comfort he felt in being a part of something. To these men, regardless of Sannan’s usefulness, he still belonged here.

Chapter 4
Back in my room I neatly put all my equipment away and set her artwork to dry. Carefully I changed back into my night robe and sat down on the comfy pillow that was in front of my writing desk. It had been a while since I’d written to my friend. Perhaps I should take a little bit of time to begin a new letter.
A while back after a trip over seas my brother had brought with him a letter from a woman in a foreign country.
“She reminded me of you a little. When I told her this her eye’s lit up so much Yun-Yun! I think you should write to her.” He’d said. It wasn’t long before I’d sent out my first letter to her. Within a few weeks one arrived in return and they had been trading ever since. My brother had been right, they got along quite nicely. I loved reading for one thing. We traded books and shared stories about our lives. It felt like a relief to be able to tell her about everything without having to hold back. Perhaps I was naïve. Sharing such things with a foreign nations royalty but their country and ours had been friendly enough with each other. Of course, the civil war here and the large war waging there made things far more difficult as of late.
We had to be more careful with their words, in case their messages were intercepted. But still, the night was young, and I wanted to send out the painting to my friend. However, as I wrote my eyes began to droop. Barely finishing my sentence, I managed to fold the paper, sealing it with wax. I was so tired by this time I practically crawled back into bed.
The next morning the light that came through the window was a grey one. Clouds had moved back in and they looked angry. Almost a dark purple. I sighed, hoping it would have been something of a nicer day. I’d enjoyed yesterday. Rain meant that I’d be cooped up in the castle.
No painting for me I guess. I hopped up from my bed and began gathering my clothing for the day. Thankfully her father had had enough sense to not get rid of the plumbing in his quest to bring us back to the old days. I made my way to the bathroom and began getting dressed. I was just about to begin combing out my long hair when a voice called,
“Yun-Yun.”
A knock on her bathroom door came at the same time, almost startled me in the mornings quiet.
“Oh! You scared me.” I said popping my head out to see my brother’s smiling face.
“For someone who is supposed to be working on her meditation you sure do startle easily.” Toshi said with a grin.
“You’re such a jerk Tosh-Kun.” I said with a pout and opened the door for him to enter as I continued with my morning routine.
“And you’re such a brat Yun-Yun, but here we are.” I stuck my tong out playfully and tied my hair into a side bun.
“So, did you just come here to scare me or be annoying?” I asked looking at him with a smirk.
“You shouldn’t be so mean to someone who has come baring good news.” He replied with a matching smirk. To be honest it’s a wonder we weren’t mistaken more often as twins. He was only two years my senior and we had both very much taken after mom with her extremely pale skin and dark eyes. I often teased Toshi about his lack of facial hair. Sure, he shaved but he’d never had to do it often and when he did he always did it so well he looked as if his face had been waxed it was so smooth.
My eye brows raised.
“Bet you thought you weren’t going to get to paint, today did you?” HE said with a cheesy grin. My eye’s narrowed.
“Michiko Toshihiko, you’d better not be messing with me.”
“Messing with you about painting would be a terrible life choice. I finally got dad’s go-ahead to get you a tutor on calligraphy and ink painting.” I think if it hadn’t been for Toshi’s decently large shoulder build I would have knocked him over with the force of my jubilant hug.
“Oh my gosh Toshi you are the best brother everrrrr!” I cried with glee.
“You might want to get going though because he’s already here.”
“What?! Toshi!” I yelled and grabbed my stuff running flat out to grab my paint set and supplies.
I think I had never moved as fast as I did that morning apart from my martial arts training classes.
When I arrived at the door I almost completely forgot about manors and came barging into the room but managed to stop myself short. I took a moment to let my breathing steady and then sat near the paper door.
“Sensei, may I come in?” I asked in the clearest tone I could manage.
“I imagine so.” Came a gruff voice.
“Thank you very much.” I said as daintily as I could manage in my excitement. I opened the door, moved in and then closed it. Turning I was able to take in my new teacher.
He was definitely an older man, which didn’t surprise me. My father tended to favor people of his own generation rather than younger teachers like Tomoe.
“Sensei, it is my great honor that you have accepted me as a student.” I said bowing at my waste. It was a little over kill. Normally someone of her caliber would only nod their head but he’d probably had to go through some major blockades to get to this point. Her father, while a major contributor of the arts himself, didn’t like the idea of me learning art formally. He preferred me to focus on other more socially important classes such as learning new languages, instruments as well as how to properly brew tea and walk in different Kimono’s and footwear. The only reason she was allowed to even partake in martial arts training was to help drain some of the nervous/hyperactive energy she had with ADHD. Then again, he ended up being far more encouraging of it after the civil war broke out and attempts on the life of the royal family began to become a more common reality.
“Eh? Wow, Michiko-Sama really polished you up huh?” Her new teacher said with surprise. She blinked in surprise and realized that this wasn’t the first time she’d seen this man before.
“Nakamura-San?” I asked in shock.
“You’re making me feel so old right now jeeze kid.” Nakamura said with a grin. Nakamura’s white wispy hair and balding head was indeed a stark contrast to his former slicked back hair. He’d also upgraded to spectacles and downgraded from a cigar to a cigarette. My memories of him had indeed faded over the years. I’d not seen him since childhood. He was an old war buddy of my dad’s.
“You’re my new teacher?” I asked in astonishment.
“Indeed I am. Toshi reached out to me after he saw one of my paintings on display at a gala he’d attended about a month ago. At first your father was apposed to it but then I reminded him that every good general knows the art of calligraphy so if you’re to make good conversation in any situation tradition is where you should start!” He boomed with a huge grin.
“I’ve been trying to get him to let me learn for years! If I’d have known it was that simple-” I commented with a sigh.
“Ah, ah, ah, not so fast. It’s not exactly that simple. While your dad has given us the go ahead he wants to make sure you progress steadily, or he’ll be cutting the line on the bone he’s thrown us.”
“What do you mean?” I frowned.
“I mean that we’re not just going to be painting all day. I also need to teach you to make conversation about it as well. You’re polished now, but my goal is to make sure you shine at any gala he takes you to.” He said putting out his cigarette. I nodded trying to put a serious face on but it didn’t hold for long before my grin returned.
“Heh, you are really stoked about this aren’t you?” An amused look displaying across his face.
“Yes!” I burst out and began spewing all the things I’d been working on and all the things I wanted to learn to do. He allowed me a moment and then put his hand up to silence me.
“Okay, I need you to focus. Before we begin every day, we will meditate in order to visualize the end goal of each lesson. To take ourselves through each step and difficulty we may encounter to we are able to take it in stride. This type of meditation served me well on the battlefield and it has served your father and brother well during this war. It will now serve you well in your day to day life.” Tanaka said, all trace of joviality gone. It wasn’t that he was serious, but more so the type of focus I rarely found in life. And suddenly I realized this might be a bit harder than I’d thought. However, my drive wasn’t gone. And with that we began our first lesson.

The loud and obnoxious sound of the alarm on your phone woke you from a deep slumber. You groaned and reached behind your head to the arm of the couch and grabbed the device, picking it up and touching the 'off' button. Your fingers went to clutch the phone but it slipped from your hold and landed straight on your forehead.
"Oh for the love of fucking christ why!"
Groaning and moaning in pain, you rolled over and fell straight off of the couch with a yelp.
"I'm just going to lay here and die," you thought to yourself as your face stayed buried into the rug.
The phone started to ring only a few seconds later, startling you from the serene quietness of the house. With a sigh you sat up on your elbows and grabbed the phone, seeing that it was Hitoshi calling, more than likely to make sure you were awake from your nap.
"Ayeeee," you answered with a tired and un-enthused tone.
"I swear you're something else woman, are you awake? Like awake awake?"
"Yeah I'm awake, trust me," you replied rubbing your forehead.
"Okay, just making sure sweetness. The kid has dance this afternoon right?"
You confirmed Hitoshi's question as you rose from the floor with a groan. The two of you continued to converse as you put on your hoodie and coat, shoes and grabbed your car keys. It had been exactly three weeks since you moved in with your now boyfriend to help him with the care of Eri. It was an exhausting and busy three weeks but so wonderful at the same time. You liked the hustle and bustle of bringing Eri to and from school and her different lessons. More than anything you loved being part of Hitoshi and Eri's life, sharing a home with them both and having your own life full of love and happiness, all because of them.
"How about I meet you two after her lesson and we'll go out for dinner since it's Friday?"
You quirked a brow and counted back your days, realizing that Hitoshi was right but also causing another important detail to pop into your brain as you saw a sparkly pink duffel bag by the front door.
"Uh – I think it'll be just me and you actually. Eri is supposed to go to some little slumber party tonight after dance. I just remembered!"
"That's fine then, you know what, since you'll be back at home before me I'll just pick up some take-out on my way home and we'll have a night in together. It's been a while since we've had one of those, kid free. Maybe even have a copious amount of sex squeezed in between some movies and video games?"
You laughed as you were already out the door and getting into your vehicle, knowing good and well that your lover was at his work desk surrounded by his colleagues and not giving a single fuck about if they could overhear him or not.
"Mmm, food, movies, video games and sex. Should I wear my 'holey' pants, I just know how turned on you get when I strut around in them!"
A sharp inhale was heard on the other end of the call, making you laugh again from imagining Hitoshi grinning through his gritted teeth as he thought of your pair of pajama pants with pink pineapples all over them and a good number of frayed holes. You never cared to throw them away because they were the most comfortable pair of pj's you owned.
"Oh now you're talking, maybe even wear a matching trash bag top. Mmm, that'd be so fucking hot!"
More laughter erupted from your mouth, making Hitoshi laugh as well. You sank back into the seat of the vehicle after starting the engine and turning the heater on full blast. "I love you weirdo."
"I love you more sweetheart. Be careful on the road please, and text me when you get there."
"You got it captain!"
After picking up Eri from school, the two of you had a small amount of time to drive-thru and grab a quick snack. Eri sat in her booster seat, eating her fries and drinking her juice happily as you did the same. You turned down the music on the radio and glanced at the little girl in your rear-view mirror.
"So cutie, what do you want to be for Halloween? We're gonna have to start looking for a costume because you got that party coming up, plus we're all going to the festival at UA."
As Eri chewed on a mouthful of salty fries she thought with a finger to her cheek. After a few seconds, her ruby eyes lit up and she looked at you.
"I want to be Alice!"
"Ooh, that sounds easy enough! You'd make a very cute and fitting Alice! You know I think we should make Toshi be the Cheshire Cat!"
"Yeah! He's purple already!" Eri pointed out.
You laughed and agreed with her. You couldn't wait to tell Hitoshi the decision you and his sister made in regards to his Halloween outfit. Eri followed with asking what you would be, which actually stumped you. You weren't much of a fan of the classic tale but you had a general knowledge of it. The Mad Hater or Queen of Hearts just didn't really float your boat.
"Hmm, who else is there?"
A light flickered in your head as you thought about making you and Hitoshi match at least in the animal department.
"What about the White Rabbit?"
"Yeah! Then we would all match!"
The rest of the drive you and Eri planned out the pieces of your costumes. Once at dance you walked in with her, hand in hand and helped to get her dressed in her dance outfit and put her long silver locks up into a nice and neat bun. You stowed her stuff away and walked to the dance room, crouching to her level before she went inside.
"Alright, you're going home with Mai and her mommy today for her slumber party. All your things are in your bag, and if you need absolutely anything you let her mom know and she will call me or Toshi."
"Okay Unnie, you and Sou-Sou will come get me tomorrow?"
"Absolutely, whenever you're ready to come home, we'll be on our way!"
Eri smiled and nodded before hugging your neck tightly. You placed a kiss to her head before standing and coaxed her into the dance room. She smiled and waved goodbye to you and ran to join her little group of friends. You waved back and proceeded to give the other girls mother yours and Hitoshi's numbers and made your way back home, more than ready to have a lazy night with your equally exhausted boyfriend.

Hitoshi struggled to open the door of his home, after many failed attempts of calling your cell or kicking at the barrier since his hands were full, he had to manage by himself knowing that you wouldn't be coming to help him. Once inside he heard it was quiet for the most part, which had him worried until he walked more into the kitchen and could hear a vacuum cleaner running down the hall. His heart was put at ease, realizing that's why you didn't answer him.
The hero placed all the bags of food on the counter, he went all out and got everything the both of you enjoy from your favorite take-out place. You had been working so hard the past few weeks caring for Eri, cleaning the house and cooking in your free time, even if it was already spotless.
Of course Hitoshi wasn't the type to just sit back and let you do these things, either you'd have them all done before he could get home or when he'd offer his help you'd decline it and suggest he spend time with Eri helping with her homework or just playing games with her. Tonight he wanted to make sure you were satisfied in more ways than one, a belly full of good food, a nice bath to relax your tired body, nice soft and comfy clothes and a whole bunch of doing nothing.
After Hitoshi's arms were empty he slid his shoes off and made his way towards the whirring sound of the cleaning appliance. It led him to Eri's bedroom and he poked his head around the corner of her door frame. The sight his eyes fell upon was very welcomed, making him chuckle and smile.
Your ear buds were snug in your ears, your phone on the toddlers dresser. As you vacuumed you danced along with the music flowing into your canals, singing to it as well. Your hips swayed in a hypnotic way and you had great footwork as you stepped along with the beat. Your entire body was moving - shoulders, waist, head. (H/c) locks swayed along and your free hand was raised up dancing along too.
"Y se emociona, ya no razona. Y me empieza a cantar, me canta así, así. Bidi bidi bom bom. Bidi bidi bom bom."
Hitoshi's eyes lit up as he heard your voice speaking the Spanish language so flawlessly. He knew you liked many different types of music and knew countless songs word by word, the language barrier being no problem.
This wasn't the first time the male had caught you like this either, there were multiple times he'd walk in on you dancing and singing in the shower, while baking or cleaning. Each time he'd scare the piss out of you by not making his presence known and you'd stop immediately. It wasn't like you couldn't dance or sing, because you could and so well. The sheer embarrassment of it all though is what would make you end the show.
This time though, he didn't want that to happen. With the help of his own sounds being muted by your ear buds and vacuum, he was able to sneak inside the room and place himself a close distance behind you. His violet eyes watched your foot work and learned it quickly, they'd also gaze to your ass as you'd roll your hips and stick the plump flesh out.
He panted, seeing you in black leggings and a plain long-sleeve shirt. You didn't have to wear fancy or revealing getup's to get his blood pumping and his tongue hanging from his mouth.
Hitoshi held his hands up and lined them with your hips as he got ready to step in with you. You sang the song so well and perfectly it's like he could hear the beat of it and easily became in-tune with your movements. Hitoshi took a deep breath and waited for just the right moment and took it.
One arm wrapped around the front of your waist, pulling your gyrating hips into his, the other grabbed hold of your hand that swayed up in the air. Chuckling, his lips brushed against the skin of your neck, making a shocked gasp escape from your mouth. You hadn't fully registered what was happening as Hitoshi danced with you, moving his hips along with yours and pressing his hard chest to your back.
You stopped vacuuming, letting go of the machine and Hitoshi took the chance to twirl you around and face him. He took a bud from your ear and placed it in his so he could hear the music you listened to. It was lively and fun, his hands took hold of yours, fingers intertwining and holding them in the air as he danced along with you quite well.
"Toshi-ah! What the – you never told me you could even remotely dance!"
Hitoshi twirled you, making you giggle and tugged you towards him and kissed your cheek, "You never asked."
"That's my line you turd!"
Smiling, Hitoshi pulled you into his chest and dipped you, timing it perfectly with the end of the song. He was so pleased with himself and placed sweet kisses up your neck to your cheek before standing you straight up again. His arms wrapped around you and hugged you close, you hummed and hugged back burying your face into him. Hitoshi pulled away and removed the bud from yours and his ear, grabbed your phone and shut off your music.
"Come on sweetness, let's get that thing put back up and get our night started!"

After eating all the food you could until you were miserable, Hitoshi ran a bath and you both bathed and relaxed until you were prunes. Now you laid on the couch together watching a movie. Hitoshi played with your (h/c) hair as you laid on his chest until you lost interest in the film and moved to sit up and straddle his lap. He smiled and touched your warm cheek, drinking in the site of you wearing one of his shirts and looking adorable.
"I didn't ask yet, but how was your last full week at the agency?"
Hitoshi explained his week and you listened closely, your hands playing with his.
The time had come finally for him to start his teaching job at UA that following Monday, you were excited and nervous for him, he was more excited than anything. All week after he'd get off work, he'd stop by the school to set up his classroom and get everything in place and ready.
You and Eri stopped by one day to bring him dinner and you weren't exactly surprised to see just how much he put into the room. It looked chaotic with all the sketches, posters and prints that hung from the walls but it was somehow like an organized chaotic. Everything flowed together well, it was cozy and very inviting. As he stated before, there was a big print of your picture from Disneyland on one of the walls, along with an equally sized picture of Eri. Hitoshi said he was going to make the classroom his own and make it his own he did.
"You excited for your first day of teaching?" You asked, moving your hands up Hitoshi's chest to wrap around his neck and play with his hair.
"Definitely, it'll be a nice change and new journey. I can't wait to meet my students and see how creative they are."
You smiled at your lover's excitement and leaned forward to kiss his lips softly. Hitoshi hummed as his hands rested on and squeezed your hips. He grinned after you broke away, asking what the kiss was for.
"Just because. I'm really proud of you Hitoshi, you set your sights on something and you go after it."
"Well thank you sweetheart. I'm so lucky to have you," he replied and pulled your lips to his again, giving you a kiss to express his gratitude.
You smiled and leaned down, hugging his chest and pressing your cheek to it. Hitoshi wrapped his own arms around you and kissed the top of your head.
"It's definitely the other way around Toshi."
Shinsou smirked as he rubbed your back and you went back to watching the movie on the tv but suddenly it's like your words brought a past memory up, from that night in the bathtub a few weeks ago.
"I don't know how much longer I would've lasted in this world."
Somehow he had forgotten to ask you about that night, about your life and emotional health before moving in with him. Looking down at you, Hitoshi figured now was a good enough time to ask you, you were awake and aware and already in a somewhat mushy and open mood. You never had been the type to really hide anything from him, even before your relationship became official. Hitoshi picked up on clues to your moods and he'd ask you about them, sometimes you'd be hesitant or annoyed with his line of questioning but you always answered him. In the end you'd feel better having him to vent to.
"Hey baby," Hitoshi started off as his hand on your back squeezed, "I've been wanting to talk to you about something."
You remained in your place, your hand holding onto Hitoshi's bicep and your thumb brushing his skin under the sleeve of his shirt. "What is it Toshi?"
"Do you remember a few weeks ago, when you and Eri made that cake, me and you took a bath that night and you were dozing off? You said something to me, something about how if I hadn't come along with my job offer then you didn't know 'how much longer you would've lasted in this world'. Does any of that ring a bell?"
Your brows knitted, trying to recall that nights events. The memories were blurry, you were in a dazed state after all. You remembered Hitoshi bathing you, holding you close and letting you melt into him. When you're extremely tired and trying to fight it off, you tend to blabber a lot about your hearts innermost feelings. More than likely that was the case that night, no denying it.
"I don't remember it exactly, but it sounds like something I would've said."
"What exactly did you mean by that? You weren't planning on hurting yourself ... were you?"
There was a pause before you replied, letting out a long and ragged breath as you thought how to form the words that wanted to fall from your lips.
You had thoughts before, of how much easier life would be if you didn't have a life at all. You wouldn't have to worry about meeting due dates for bills, wouldn't have to be bothered with your families problems and above all, wouldn't have to see that monster you worked for ever again. Each day going back and forth to that café seemed to just break a piece of your soul off more and more. The looks, whistles and words that you'd hear.
Your only saving grace being Hitoshi when he'd stop by and grace you with his company. For those few moments or hours, you'd feel that everything was good in the world, that maybe you could make it one more day if it meant seeing that tuft of purple hair and those glistening amethyst eyes one more time.
"Uh – not exactly, I guess? I don't know. I think back then I honestly had just given up on caring about my life Hitoshi. I was in the mindset that if something 'bad' did happen to me then I'd be okay with it. Truthfully, I'm too much of a little bitch to ever off myself, I wanted it to be done for me. I'd go as far as seeking out dangerous situations sometimes."
Hitoshi clenched his jaw, letting your words hit him hard, his hold on you grew tighter. You kissed the inside of his elbow that your face rested in and continued.
"I – I'd purposefully walk through the rough and bad areas of the city on my way home some nights. Hoping someone would think I was good enough to mess with and even hurt. Other times I wouldn't pay attention to my surroundings as I walked crosswalks during heavy traffic. I feel disgusted with myself that I even thought of giving into that man I worked for, then trying to back out of it, hoping he'd get mad enough to lose his control and just ... end me. I almost got what I wished for huh? Except that night, my entire view had changed, I didn't want that situation anymore but still it ended up happening, like some sick joke."
Hitoshi could feel his chest tightening, his heart aching and squeezing. The thought of seeing a story on the news about a girl with your description found behind a dumpster in the slums of Japan had his stomach in knots and made him nauseous. The fact that you sought that out, made it even worse.
If you truly had gotten everything you wished for back then, Hitoshi would've been guilt ridden for sure. It was his fucking job to read people, how did he not see that dead and hopeless look in your eyes?
Was it because when he was around, even if you acted annoyed, that you were at your happiest? Just the act of him stopping by and requesting you, was that what kept you going? What about your own family, there's no way they didn't play a part in your life and no way they wouldn't have helped you, had you asked for it.
"(Y/N), what about your family?"
Your shoulders shrugged and you hummed.
"Well, I distanced myself from them. My parents especially, I just wanted to escape all the – the idiocy. My brother and his wife, their kids, they were another reason I kept going. My mother and father though, nothing happy every comes out of those relationships. Just being let down time and time again, picked over for something better."
You had no family really, except for your sibling and his small family. Those two kids of theirs were your entire world. Then Hitoshi and Eri came along and your world grew. You and brother would go a few weeks without talking to each other, it was normal. They would get busy with the kids and work, and you would be busy with whatever was going on in your life. Always though, you'd check up on each other after too long and pick up from where you left off.
Hitoshi was silent as you explained your sad and chaotic life to him, taking it all in. He never knew any of this went on, had he known, he would've done more, made his move earlier! You finally pulled yourself from his chest, going back to straddling his hips and looking at him. The man looked to be on the verge of tears.
You pouted and cupped Hitoshi's face, leaning forward and resting your forehead to his.
"I'm sorry Hitoshi. I'm sorry I didn't value you my life like I should've. Sorry for not being strong enough and being a coward, for being stupid and endangering myself. I just, I had enough of it all, I was tired," a shaky breath left your lips, " - so tired. I wasn't going anywhere fast enough for my liking, I had these dreams that seemed so unrealistic and I got discouraged. You saved me though and each day I'm so thankful you walked into that café almost every goddamn day and showed me that smile and kindness. It got to where I lived for it, now wholeheartedly I live all because of you."
Tears flowed from your eyes and from Hitoshi's as well. When he felt a tear drop onto his shirt the hero captured you in his arms holding you as close as humanly possible. Your cries rippled through him as he held your head to him and pet your hair. You apologized over and over, for the smallest and most unnecessary reasons. Hitoshi quietly cried with you, comforting and shushing your un-needed words.
"You have nothing to be sorry for towards me (Y/N). I'm sorry I didn't notice sooner or did something about it. The thought of you suffering alone, not being this person I've been so blessed to see these past few weeks, it fucking kills me. As long as there's a breath in me, I promise to do everything in my power to make sure you're happy. I'll support and back all your dreams like you do for me, I'll always be here for you to vent to and let your frustrations out on, I'll be absolutely any and everything you could ever need. You have to promise me though that if you ever feel yourself slipping, even just the smallest bit, back into that void, you'll let me know."
You nodded, sniffling and wiping your nose and eyes with the backs of your hands and arms. "I promise Hitoshi. Thank you so much, for everything. I love you so much."
Hitoshi closed his eyes and squeezed you tight, placing a kiss to your temple and wiped your eyes. "I love you so much more."
The next few minutes were spent with Hitoshi holding you close, both of you calming down and getting back to normal. Your boyfriend instructed you wrapped around and hold him tight as he got up from the couch, carrying you to the kitchen and sitting you on the counter. He grabbed a clean rag and wet it with warm water, wrung it out then placed himself between your knees. As you sniffled, Hitoshi used the rag to wipe and clean your eyes and face. The warmth of the cloth made you relax and you gave the man an appreciative smile.
"Sorry I kind of ruined the whole vibe tonight Toshi."
"Baby, you didn't ruin anything. As painful as it was, I'm glad we had this talk. How about we play a friendly game of Mario Kart to get the mood back up?"
You chuckled as Hitoshi took your face in his hands, pulling you to look up at him towering over you and placing a kiss to your lips. Your hands hung from his as you kissed back eagerly. His warm and soft lips were helping to bring the warmth back to yours. The taste of spicy curry was still on his tongue that was welcomed into your mouth and lapped at your own muscle, you enjoyed it honestly. Tongues retreated back to their own caves and your lips enveloped each other one last and long time before breaking away.
"You're on Hitoshi, get ready to get your ass kicked!"
A cocky grinned grew on Hitoshi's face and he quickly tossed you over his shoulder, placing a firm smack to your ass as he carried you back into the living room. It stung more than usual being you weren't wearing pants to protect your skin. You playfully bit at the back of his shoulder, making him only bite your thigh in retaliation.
"Ow you fucker! I'd be nice if I were you, I do get to put together your Halloween costume in fact, and I could be evil about it!"
"What costume? I haven't told you what I wanted to be yet."
You smiled as Hitoshi flung you onto the massive couch from over his shoulder. His arms trapped your head and he looked down on you and leaned on the couch.
"You don't get a say in the matter, Eri chose for you and it's great! You see, you'll be going as the Cheshire Cat, ears and all! For once I'll be the one drooling over you in a kitty cat getup!"
Hitoshi narrowed his eyes at you and grit his teeth. Your finger reached up and glided under his chin then to bop the tip of his nose as you giggled.
"Cat got your tongue Toshi?"
"Bite me," he snapped back.
Propping up on your elbow, your hand cupped his neck and tugged him down roughly and closer to you, the tip of your tongue licked up the side of his throat and stopped at his jaw where you nipped lightly. "Don't mind if I do!"
