i rmr in cacw time when people went on about how pissed peggy would've been if she'd known about steve/sharon but it was not in a "yeah it's fucked up how she thinks she has a claim on him" way but in a "that's the reason this relationship is wrong" way which btw steve liked sharon long before he knew she was related to peggy like you can talk about how the writers view sharon as a stand-in for peggy but steve absolutely does not lol like it's absolutely fair to stay steve/sharon is icky and makes us uncomfortable but it's like peggy was an old woman who had long since been married with children even if she HAD once had a claim on steve (which she did not, he was not hers and she was not his) that would no longer matter in any way seventy years later lmao and if she had been alive to see it and been angry that would've been bullshit
