Alright, one, who is Hana and how does she tie into Excalibur's past, two, how is Mira a kishin risk and why was she locked up, three, the fact that despite not knowing how to read Mira has Excalibur's legend memorized is adorable, four, don't thknk I didn't see the Penndragon earlier, I just didn't think much about it at the time, and five, WHY DID EXCALIBUR REPRESS ALL THE EMOTIONS SINCE HE WAS 19 THAT IS THE OPPOSITE OF HEALTHY!?!? UNTIL HE STARTS HANDLING EMOTIONS BETTER HE'S TRASH SWORD!!!!
Hana is an old one who currently is at the dwma teaching the NOT class because she's able to mitigate anyone's soul wavelength so she uses it to help the students out. She actually poses as a man while teaching using a pair of enchanted glasses. (the fact she is an old one is kept secret. She doesn’t want people knowing who she is. She’s only at the DWMA because she wanted to be near Shinigami-Sama and Death the Kid)
She was part of the 8 warlords, that's how she knows Excalibur
Tbh Hana has more to do with my shinigami and kid hcs but she provides a good venting spot and voice of reason for Merlin. She's a real mom friend. But she doesn't beat around the bush either. She's also the only one who actively calls Excalibur Merlin
I don't have much art of Hana but here's an old pic of her without her glasses on
I do have a small snippet of her chiding Merlin for being a dumbass:
“Mira won’t give me kisses anymore!” he sighed, “I think I made her angry somehow. Ever since I went back to human she just. Doesn’t seem to want to be as close.” he sighed heavily and covered his head.
Hana stared, “Mira adores you why do you think otherwise?” she sat in her chair and removed her glasses. Her features softened as she shifted her coat, her shadow arm appearing as she took out some papers.
“As I said, she won’t kiss me anymore! And she’s barely holding my hand. She seems just. Afraid…”
“You’re a handsome young looking man and the holy sword, she most likely thinks you’re too good for a potential kishin.” she chewed on her pen as she worked, “Merlin, as for the other point, the kisses. Have you forgotten something?”
“Like what?” he looked at her with tear-stained eyes.
She sighed, “Okay, so let’s do a little reminiscing. Do you recall Shin and I’s relationship?”
“How could I not?’ he scowled, “how’s this…”
“Do you remember how bleeding tall Shin is in his actual form? Rather just him or his damn puppet.” she raised a hand. She stood up and drew a diagram on the board, “We kissed a lot. Obviously. And you know what I had to do? Pull his damn side pieces so I could reach.” she sketched Mira and Merlin on the board and tapped her chalk above Mira’s head, “Notice any similarities?”
He paled before he turned bright red, “I um.. I’m not the shortest man alive.”
“Correct. Mira most likely isn’t sure HOW to go about dealing with a human of your caliber.” she drew his smaller form, “Mira is used to toting around a weird deformed penguin who weighed like, what, you weighed maybe 50 pounds soaking wet?”
“I think I weighed about 30.” he frowned, “Considerably less than now…”
“Mmhm. So consider, if you want kisses.” she slammed her hands on the desk making the man flinch, “why don’t you kiss her yourself?”
He paused and thought about it, his dark eyes growing wide, “ah… I can.. Can’t I…” he got up, “Thanks Hana!” he waved and ran off.
She sighed and put her glasses back on and sat down. “What a Fool.”
That is actually explained in chapter one so I'm gonna leave you in the dark for now. Mira being a kishin risk is one of the main driving plot reasons she's allowed to pair with Excalibur because he's a holy weapon and purifies. She was locked up because she's a kishin risk and crimes she committed
This is old as well but you can see Mira’s soul has some issues (also some of my other soul eater ocs whoops) (you can also see Merlin’s actual height compared to mira thus proving Hana’s point above Mira is only like 5 feet tall):
Mira is a very soft girl but her swordfighting skills are unmatched. She's been raised as a weapon to the point her father literally calls her his little sword. The girl has a deep love of swords and it's been instilled in her since she was small
Mira's mom used to read it to her often as she had a special fondness for the arthurian legend. Mira's last name is actually chosen by her mother since her mother's last name wasn't a real last name and her father didn't really want to have mira attached to him so she was named penndragon!! Excalibur also notes this and gets a little hopeful she’s king arthurs descendant (she isn’t. but she’s still related to the arthurian legend just not how he ever thought possible)
He was 19 when he met arthur and worked as a wizard. He thought emotions got in the way of his actions and started to repress them and when he was the sword all sensations were numbed so he further repressed them.
He gets a lot better namely cuz he sees how worried his meister is. He lets himself cry, get mad, be protective etc. He even has to deal with being a lil jealous but it's dealt with cuz end of the day mira adores him most of all and he relishes in it.
He also is aware he’s a bit unbalanced now that he’s back to letting his emotions out.

N/A: Kitty in Excalibur is saying "oh here we go again"
The tall blonde humanoid figure-donning a typical sexy librarian outfit- taps her foot and throws a crooked gaze to the unique figure of Kitty Pryde-donned with a cheerleader uniform-and is furrowing her brown. "Kitty Pryde, we have a problem here" and Kitty is long gone in pretending to be polite. "You bet" and is almost growling. Almost. Kitty can´t forget she´s surrounded by people that are waiting for the tall blonde to give the instructions. "Now you´re Mr. Smith and I´m the chosen one?" sneers att he humanoid figure who rolls her eyes.
"Look, in this dimension ...we follow tropes!" she explained ignoring Kitty. "Are you the nerd kid who wants to win the big game?" and her eyes drops to the typical nerds that want to win the big game. "Are you a theater kid wanting to have a bigger role?" and her eyes travel to the theater kids being as cliche as possible. "or are you the tomboy who will be crowned the beauty of school to get the love of your best friend?" and points at the typical tomboys who are wearing the typical prom dresses.
Kitty is not impressed.
And now the humanoid figure facepalm. "And then we have you! You don´t belong in one trope. You´re a nerd...but you can fight against bullies. You´re a tomboy" Kitty´s expression didn´t waive her initial idea. "You´re not the belle of the ball and yet...you´re pretty...what´s your trope, Kitty Pryde?"
"The truth? My trope is being a heroine...not a damsel in distress and I hated high school ...so much I skip directly to college...not a big change now that I think about it" Kitty confessed tiredly. The humanoid figure is not impressed.
"You´re here...you´re in this dimension where tropes are everything..." then she narrows her eyes at Kitty. Studies at features and adds. "We´re inclusive too. If you´re gay...we have gay tropes"
"Not gay. Bi and what part I don´t want to take part in a trope you don´t get?"
"The begin and the end?" she counter asked bemused. "Who wouldn´t want to live in a nice trope...you´ll get a nice ending. The wallflower and the popular guy or girl" shurgs off as to prove no one has no bad comment about her preferences. "and tell me, do you think you´ll get a happy ending in your world?"
Kitty pauses and absorbs such words. Is tempting-she can admit this much- but then she shakes her head. "No, it wouldn´t be a real happy ending just a manufactured one...and like I said...I´m a hero. I´m from Excalibur and not a fucking trope!"
A battle begins. Kitty is unmatched against someone who can wrap reality until she sees Ray flying by with her phoenix's fire. "not a fan of old tropes...let´s innovate a bit" a nice quip as Rachel is using her powers to battle the entity.
The other members of Excalibur finally found her. Kitty can only count on Excalibur no matter what.
You are trapped in a virtual world where everyone is a stereotype - nerdy loser, preppy snob, sad emo etc. You want to escape this world and go back to your real world, but you have no idea how. And as the only three-dimensional person in the virtual realm, the system mark you as a potential virus and is out to get you, and you are running out of time.

Most Ridiculously Powerful Anime Characters
The world of anime is filled with action heroes that fight monsters and villains. Many times, anime characters have a usual arc that develops over time thus making the show interesting. Anime series like Gundam is known for their over-the-top machines that fight in space to protect Earth. On the other hand, series like DragonBall evolved from dealing with planetary monsters to destroying galaxies. All of these characters are portrayed to be extremely powerful to the point where human imagination cannot interpret the limits. However, some characters are just simply too powerful, so much so that comprehension of their capabilities becomes a joke. Be it brain power, muscles, or even fantasy forms, such characters defy the already exaggerated rules of anime characters. Here we have a list of such characters, including heroes and villains that just seem ridiculously powerful.
Saitama
Nothing can be more powerful than killing an enemy in just one punch. Saitama is a hero like no other. His bald face, cartoonish expressions, and average body is the complete opposite of his potential. Viewers of the show get a look into his training regime and it feels like a mockery considering the results. Even in its second season, when other heroes seem to have a hard time dealing with scary monsters, Saitama can kill demons with a single punch. His powers almost feel comedic as his friends, who are shown to have tremendous powers, fall flat in comparison to a single punch by Saitama. The series’ entire development is based on Saitama and his exploration of limits and if killing an enemy with one punch isn’t ridiculously overpowered, then nothing is.
Momonga
Momonga’s appearance is a very good indicator of how overpowered this monster from Overlord is. His skeletal body is capable of destroying worlds with a snap. In the series, his powers seem to be bound by nothing and the viewers get a very sharp look into his capabilities later on. Known as Ainz Ooal Gown, Momonga is regarded as one of the highest forms in his world and his magic casting abilities remain unmatched by any character in the series. Momonga seems to have an unlimited bank of powers that seem way too overpowered for a character in the series.
Shiba Tatsuya
Throughout the series ‘The Irregular at Magic High School’, Shiba Tatsuya seems undefeated as his powers of a long-barreled Silver Series Horn makes for a magical gun that stores all of his destructive powers. His tactical use of the weapon including precision needles that affect the target’s nerves and bloodstream is one of the highlights of his powers. Later his weapon is named “Trident” and later adds more magical powers to his arsenal.
Izayoi Sakamaki
The main protagonist of ‘Mondaiji Tachi Ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sou Desu Yo?’ is one of the best warriors who is known for defeating Gods and Demons alike. He does all this with so much ease that many think his slaying capabilities are as smooth as running butter through a knife. Izayoi is one of the top reigning members of the No Name community and one of the youngest characters that make it into this list.
Alucard
Vampires from Hellsing deserve a special category by themselves. Vampires are generally extremely powerful. Add to it the ability to regenerate from fatal wounds like a decapitated head, make Alucard from the Hellsing series one of the most powerful characters. Surrounded by the familiars that he built from centuries of feeding on people, he controls one of the most deadly armies of vampires that the anime world has seen.
Sora and Shiro
This sibling duo from ‘No Game No Life’ has recently made their way into the list. Unlike many characters in the list, Sora and Shiro don’t possess supernatural powers. Instead, their brains are what make them overpowered. Shiro is an extremely intelligent kid that is tasked with the responsibility of his sister and while she does make a mark on the series in some questionable ways, Shiro’s intelligence seems to have rubbed on her. Sora can predict things and courses of vents far into the future and with Shiro’s intelligence, the duo seems to have no competition in terms of brainpower.
Goku
Goku had to make it to this list as being one of the highest regarded protagonists that know no limits to their powers. His journey starts with him discovering his first Saiyan form and goes on till his death in episode 71 of Dragon Ball Super, where he becomes a Saiyan god that has crossed several Super Saiyan stages and forms. Goku’s ability to learn skills at an extremely fast rate adds to his talent that makes him unparalleled. Summoning a spirit bomb that takes a part of life essence from every single living creature on Earth sure takes a lot of power.
Gilgamesh
Fate/Zero has one of the best characters in the anime world and many agree that Gilgamesh has overpowered capabilities that arise from his half-god- half-human existence. The Archer class servant forms a contract with Kirei Kotomine while maintaining an obsession for Saber during his contract. What makes him so powerful is his ability to summon deadly attacks without even flinching. His sword later becomes the Excalibur and his ownership of Noble Phantasms of every hero spirit is seconded by none.
Sosuke Aizen
Bleach is one of the most famous anime series of all time and it holds the title for good reason. An action-packed series that involves Shinigamis and their powers, the main protagonist, Ichigo Kurosaki, is naturally supposed to be everyone’s savior. But Sosuke Aizen takes the place as one of the most devastatingly powerful characters in the entire series. Shinigamis are known to have special powers that are unique to everyone. What makes Aizen extremely powerful is his ability to control all the five senses of multiple people. Meaning Aizen never needs to physically fight and instead hypnotizes his opponent to create illusions. Towards the end of the series, Aizen is swallowed by Hollow powers and even then Ichigo is unable to fully kill him. It takes Ichigo’s mentor, Kisuke Urahara to bind Aizen to an extremely powerful Kido spell to eliminate Aizen.
Beerus
Another character from the DragonBall series, this Sphinx-faced part-human part-cat creature makes an entrance into the world being known as the God of Destruction. This is one of the only characters in the entire series that has the capabilities to kill any being in the universe, even Saiyans. Thus, the limit to the powers of Beerus is simply unknown. An entire movie is made around him and it takes a Super-Saiyan God to put his case to rest. Even then during his entire course, this seemingly large cat can give all the Saiyans a run for their money.
